The employees are always super friendly and helpful but that does not make up for extremely poor quality produce, horrific smelling display areas, questionable meat, and deceiving weekly specials. Its not buy one get one free and you double the price of the first one during the week of the special only to see it return to half price the following week. Knowingly selling aged and expering meat products is bad business. Changing the expiration date to extend the saleable time frame is unsafe on so many levels and its just wrong. I feel like I shouldnt have to explain that but there you go.Somehow, Walmart has a higher quality selection of produce minus the smell. Unless, of course, its close to the first of the month. Then all bets are off.

Who knew! I heard their was a Chick-fil-A sauce shortage but our local tops is selling it.

Tops is a good store. Its close by but they are a little expensive. The store I go to off Pultney St. has a bad odor alot of time like sewage backup.

Some of their signs are very confusing we found in the bakery department when we got to cashier the price was not the same as sign very embarrassing to have to send something back not the first time it has happened in other department also

Went into grab some money out of their ATM and it suddenly stopped excepting my card. Decided to buy something to get money back that way but everything is so massively overpriced I decided to shop elsewhere.Went to Wegmans and my card was welcome there.

Tops markets are always my first choice for mercantile meandering! I love their wide variety of products and their friendly, knowledgeable staff. There are always excellent deals to be had and both the bakery and the deli always have top notch selections.

Tops is a slightly above average grocery store. Its well organized and clean. It has good selection and prices. However, there is nothing that makes it stand out from its competition. I tend to try to go to Wegmans when possible as an alternative to Tops, but its further away.

Only nice thing about this store is the meat case. Every time I go in there, the cuts are pristine. Absolutely incredible customer service from the tall meat cutter, his name is Thomas. His case is one of the nicest Ive seen. I go there for the meat but get my other groceries at Walmart. Much too pricey for me, but honestly, Id pay top dollar for Thomas excellent cuts and fantastic customer service.

Nice store, but their plan to look more like Wegmans falls considerably short. Their bakerys rye bread at Tops is still the best in the area though.

I love shopping at Tops! I always get great deals with the weekly ad and using my bonus card saves me a lot of money on groceries and gas.

Full service grocery store with all kinds of stuff there. Theres a wide selection of foods to include specialty and ethnic foods. Staff is courteous and helpful.

First time I ever visited Tops...they had some great deals. Little dark in spots with lightening.

Tops sells a lot of items that are past their expiration date. Produce is also bad.

A medium sized tops store.Deli was all fresh, sliced to order. No trays of presliced lunchmeat. Aisles were uncluttered .We walked rigjt up to checkout, no lines.Large selection of beer, both cold and floor stock available. Plenty of free parking.

Found some great deals and they had tea my wife likes that I cant find anywhere else.

Overall I had great experience there. Lady at the service desk was polite along with the lady at the deli counter. The reason for not giving 5 stars is the old lady at self checkout. Now I get that they need to make sure everything gets scanned. I use to work at Safeway and I had to do the same. What bothered me was every item I scanned she would say what did you just put in the bag? After each item I scanned it would go in the bag one by one. I got 10 items so imagine being asked 10 times what did you just put in the bag?. I got apple juice and I did not put that in a bag but set it next to my other bag that had food in it. Before I put my card in she told me I didnt scan the apple juice and that i needed to do it again. I had corrected her and said no it shows on the screen vt apl cktl 64F 1.09 she kept saying I didnt scan it. I had proof yet she kept going on about I didnt scan it. So after a little bit I became sturn and irritated when talking to her. I dont come to Tops to be interrogated over 1.09 off brand apple juice. I want to pay for ALL my stuff and go on about my day. If they feel the need to do that to customers then maybe they should open more check out lines again!

Theyve a very limited selection and the store is in poor condition. I really didnt think that target would have a better food selection then a grocery store, But in this case they definitely do.

I work retail and shop alot. Todays experience (which was worse than usual) I ran into produce to get ginger. The guy stocking abruptly stood there annoyed that I was in his way. Scooted his way in then refused to let me back in to get more ginger. No greeting either. Then while passing many others, you get a miserable stare. At checkout, couldve possibly been a manager. Miserable stare like I was bothering her. No greet. Ignorant and rude. Made me burning... You cant learn to treat customers with any form of respect then you belong working the graveyard shift.! Presentation is descent in there, but Id never food shop there just because of how Im treated. My family also agrees with me due to prior experiences. Hopefully someone will read this and do something about it.

Average produce section, good sale prices. Not too exciting but clean.

Shelves are nearly always short of stock. Simple items like laughing cow cheese, as an example, are missing from the shelf for weeks. Same with many other mainstay products, with some missing for months! No intergrated re-order system obviously, so you cant rely on getting your shopping done each time you visit, so you go elsewhere...been this way for years, go figure!!!

Shelves are empty. I thought maybe it was too early this morning when I stopped to grab some groceries. Decided to come back later after they had some time. This afternoon its still empty. Is this one closing too? If not, they probably will because there is nothing to buy.

This place is getting worse, if thats possible. Nearly every refrigerator is leaking and all floors are wet and hazardous. Shelves are Constantly empty, especially the fresh produce area. Today whole isles were empty, and when I asked a member of staff what was going on they said they didnt know, as they tell us nothing. So as one can see management is not informing their employees let alone cudtomers. Just an all round badly run store with no store management ever present or availble!

Check expiration dates before you buy. I was shopping for yogurt Oct 30, and there was some on shelf that expired in Aug. Went down by cold coffee drinks, and product expired 3weeks prior. This is just THIS trip. I find a lot of expired parishables, but take the chance bcause its close to home. The customer service is a whole other story...most employees there are rude.
