After remodel, place is back like it was. Cant get down the aisles because of carts. Need to hire more help or something. Hate going in their due to not in forcing mask policy. I count @ least 8-10 people not wearing masks. Management continues to tell me cant enforce it per corporate? Can suggest but thats it. Really? What a joke!!

I had never been in this particular kind of Dollar General, it was a big store and was like a grocery store and dollar store combined. They had a wide variety of items and I never even made it to the food section to look. I got a few items at real good prices there. I got a nice thick regular body towel for 2.50 and 3 sets of 5 really thick wash clothes and 1 set of 4 dish clothes for the same price as the towel. I also got a cute silverware set in a silverware container for 2.50 that had 4 of each knives forks etc. Then I also got some clothes all half price that I really needed also. I would like to go back to this store in Elwood and shop again. They had alot of other items marked down also but I had to put some back as I didnt have the money for at that time. The store was clean, the aisles were not cluttered, they had a wide variety of items plus had a big grocery part, clothes just so much. Check it out if you get a chance.

Its an interesting place. Not the best produce, I try to avoid that there. Store brand foods, also avoid. Clover valley pepperoni pizza smells like wet dog; absolutely awful. However, the store itself is cool. I wasnt even aware there was such a place til I came passed this one. Much wider selection of items than found at regular dollar generals. People are nice. Check out tends to be efficient. Over all, Ill likely go back, but it is kinda out of my way just a bit, so Ill likely frequent the regular store nearer to me before going out of my way for this location.

Friendly staff, everything was easy to find. Store was clean, and we didnt have a long wait in line. Plenty of cashiers and staff.

Its the local DG, it does what its supposed to do. Familiar faces, atmosphere & selection as I expect.

Got through with my shopping cart full of all my needs and cashier was courtesy and friendly which is a good thing with whats going on now!!! Found everything easily but if ya could raise the stuff located on the bottom shelf a little higher it would be Appreciated greatly as some of people who are Advanced in Age have a issue stooping over to reach these items as well as the people who drive their scooters around your store. Super service most every time Ive visited and ya need to put coupons for individuals who Bargain Shop!!! Just my Opinion!!! Nuff Said!!!

One of the best small markets Ive been to for years. Very clean, well lit, organized and stocked. Social distancing was practiced by markings on the floor along checkout registers. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Its nice and roomy compared to other locations especially and I love the fact that they have fresh produce and other food items! They are also at least open until midnight which is helpful for myself because I dont normally get the chance to go get what I need until my family is taken care of and in bed. Pretty much everyone theres Nice and kind.

Always clean. Better option of the two, with going here OR driving to Noblesville, or Anderson/Marion/Kokomo The best thing to happen to this area. Sometimes after all my items in cart are rang up, I just dont understand how the price due at checkout is a little higher then my calculated Math. But I always add the items up on the receipt upon arriving Home. This is the best Dollar general store Ive ever been too. People in other cities talk about the dollar market like its a legend lol. But

Great store and great customer service

This store is pretty clean, has a wide selection of items for both food, HomeGoods, such as cards, baby items, decorations, and clothing. Often has some items on clearance. Check out every time Ive been there has been speedy and efficient. The workers are very nice and willing to help. I had seen it signed for a limited edition can of coke for military appreciation I wanted to get for a friend. The sign had clearly been up for a while, and I didnt see a display anymore in the store, but when I asked an associate for help finding a drink, they will try on this store and when they couldnt find it they went and got a manager who was able to locate it for me. Definitely went out of their way to be of assistance

While waiting in the only open lane on a Sunday late morning, there were at least 8 people in line. Then the manager or assistant manager opens another, says Ill take the next person in line. Which was me, I went to walk over, then four other people beat me, one being an employee just off the clock or on a break. I go back to my original line but no one was going to let me back in, courteous people. So I patiently await in the line that was just opened. Then ask her, why she didnt say something to the people when she said next in line, her response was, I didnt see who was next.

I wish they has a Super Dollar General in Anderson, Indiana like they do in Elwood Indiana. The store is amazing on the things they have so much cheaper. I do not get Food Stamps, but I spent $$439 at one Spree I went on, then went back for the item I wanted the first time I went and spent$261. So the items I I couldnt get there, was all my meat.

This new location is convenient. Clean, lots of room to move around. Great selection. I wish they had produce like North Websters new store though.

For an all in one stop, its pretty good. Only issue is lately theyve been out of stock on A LOT.

I was checking out the Elwood, Indiana area and was extremely pleased that there was a local supermarket. I checked out prices for some basic items and this store had prices that were comparable with prices in Indianapolis.

Needs to be cleaned up. Not a very clean store and most of the employees are not too friendly.

The Dollar General Market is a much larger store than the regular Dollar General stores. They carry the same merchandise as the smaller stores, but they have much more in addition to the regular merchandise. Its like a general goods store plus a grocery store together in one. You can purchase fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, and many other grocery items as well as general home goods and toys. The prices are really affordable. My family shops here almost daily. They have almost anything you need to live.

I dont shop here much, just when I forgot something at the store. Their produce is pretty good most the time.

Great convenience for those living in Elwood that dont want to drive 30 minutes away for better selections, but one particular cashier is pretty rude (to me) EVERY TIME I go in. Good mornings, have a great day, etc... to all in line, but when I get to her... its a sour face and nothing to say at all. Not isolated, as I have paid attention to see if it was my imagination and its not... I think I have done something to piss her off... oh well... others are very nice and a good store.

Green peppers where old and wrinkled several items had no prices. They were cleaning floor with dirty stagnant water that smelled really bad.

It is usually pretty clean, especially for being in elwood. It stays open later than most other places, in this area. Employees are usually friendly. Id prefer this place over KMart.

Considering we have two Dollar General stores in a city of less than 10k people you may notice prices are lower at the South end of town.

Much larger than a normal dollar general. Alot more food products, including a small produce section & some meats. Very clean & well stocked for a dollar general. Overall better than walmart!

Find most things there that I need. Except meat, I buy elsewhere. Watch the ounces on packaging. Some items still appear less expensive, but in actuality, are less in quantity. More check out lanes should be opened when long lines are present.

This store has the most rudest employees I have ever encountered. My first few visits I dismissed their behavior as people just having a bad day, but every single visit is the same. Either its small town arrogance, bc I am a new face, or its the fact that my face is darker than theirs. Sadly, given Elwoods history the latter has higher probability. So, although it is a clean store and unfortunately the most convenient place to shop in town, I suggest avoiding it if possible.
