The personal attention given to our family since 2002 has been amazing. We were impressed with the quality workmanship done on repairs to violins, saxophone, and even trumpets his WWII grandfather played back when he was in school and used when he performed throughout his life. Our trumpet and sax playing sons, both became more successful through private lessons at JAM. Our youngest son, sax player, earned confidence to compete which we could never convince him to do (scored well, too!). We highly recommend going to JAM.

We brought a student clarinet in for repair last week after getting an estimate at another local music store. We understood that there were several issues that needed attention, but did not want to have them all completed right away. We wanted to just have a couple of repairs done that needed immediate attention. The other music store had refused to do only the main repairs. When I brought the same instrument to Journey Around Music, the owner was very understanding and accommodating. He did the requested repairs, plus a few extra, for substantially less cost than I was quoted at the other store and at lightning speed. I truly appreciate the help with our instrument and will be back in the future! I highly recommend this business.

Do not buy instruments here the quality is terrible. I am a professional musician and teacher. My students come to school with these instruments because they are inexpensive, but in the long run you will spend triple the money in repairs. Always stick with popular name brands for instruments. This store sells off-brands made with cheap materials. Other stores refuse to fix them. It pains me to write this review because I usually support local business, but I cant stand behind JAM. When I see a change in the quality of their products or services Id be happy to remove this review.

Excellent service and they have a very good equipment.

Always very helpful and accomodating when we go in. We love the small, personal feel of the shop and enjoy browsing whenever we stop in.

I have had my amp retubed and repaired there. Turn around time is always pretty quick and the prices are very reasonable.

What about the quality of the lessons and the quality of repairs to name brand instruments? Curious to know opinions.
