Came to the historic highway 101 for a relaxing bike ride. Stumbled upon this cute little gem. Bought a moonlight acai bowl to share. Huuuuge portion. Great for 2 people! Acai was not as sweet as the acai ice cream. Such a wonderful healthy midday snack!

Simply delightful to my tastebuds. Love their pistachio flavor. Chocolate PB was yummy also. Staff, especially owner, are wonderfully pleasant.

Calif day is just what everyone needs to take a break and quench thirst, cure sweet tooth.Having umbrella outdoor seatings are just perfect under the pandemic.

Line was long but went quickly. Mango was a bit mild and didnt have much flavor but my husbands strawberry and stracciatella was amazing!!! They have many options to choose from as far as smoothies and fruit bowls.

A good local Gelato spot in the heart of Encinitas,Highway 101. Good atmosphere and vibes.. Aside from their unique flavors of Gelato they have coffee, Boba Milktea, smoothies and Acai Bowls. Judging by the long lines and happy faces, this is a favorite go to spot for locals and visitors.

What a wonderful spot! Driving by I noticed right away how cute this place was. It is worth stopping. Lots of yummy gelato flavors to choose from. They also do boba, smoothies, and coffee. The exterior is beautiful, fresh, and green!! Great place to sit and enjoy a treat.

Delicious gelato and a great area to get out of the sun to chill. Limited indoor seating but a very nice patio with a fire pit and artificial grass with couches and chairs to lounge in. Located at the corner of Pacific Coast and d Street. Only a few parking spots available here, but plenty of street parking with no meters which is nice.

Ok but nothing memorable. Nice staff and all are wearing masks buy they are not allowed to give out samples. The flavors I tried didn’t taste natural esp. the coconut and pistachio. Have had far better gelato. Didn’t finish a small which says it all!Instead hit the ice cream shop on a major corner a few blocks north down the road on the same side of the street instead (can’t remember the name but look for all the people). They have 55 flavors that they make fresh every morning. Great service, amazing ice cream, and they let you sample.

The Gelato was amazing! The Pineapple Ginger one was my favorite and the Mango and the Coconut were right behind it in yumminess! Yes, I got 3, dont judge! 😂 Lol The place was really cute too! Service was great! Wished they gave out samples... Thank goodness I chose wisely! 😁👍

Yes yes yes! Definitely a place you want to go to. The texture is very different than normal ice cream. Its a lot smoother, and more Premier. Not as much are Incorporated like ice cream usually has.Oh my God, and the flavors are out of this world! I had the Hazelnut, and it really does taste like the hazelnut gelato in Italy. Very flavorful, nothing artificial. You can tell they use fresh ingredients.If youre an Italian and you remember how gelato tastes in Sicily on a hot summer day, this is definitely the place for you! 🇮🇹

Yum! There’s not much more to say other than yum. We each got a different flavor then sat on the pillows outside and enjoyed the night. The line went quickly so it didn’t take long for us to get through. There was a small area inside to sit but a large area outside. The flavors were authentic and the texture was right on.

This was some of the best gelato I’ve ever had. And yes, Ive been to Italy. ;) The Opera, the Tiramisu, and the Sea Salt Caramel were amazing. Every time I go I find a new favorite flavor! Today it was Chocolate Peanut Butter. They seem to go through the flavors quickly, and it always tastes so fresh and natural. I am in love!

The product was fresh, visually appealing and in my opinion the prices fair. Theyve got a great out door eating area, and once its dark they ignite their two fire pits. Made a great after dinner treat.

Weird chain that sells low fat ice cream and calls it gelato. What they serve is definitely not gelato. I am unsure why this place had such a long line because there are many better places for ice cream close by.

Great local spot for delicious and inventive gelato, sorbet, and smoothies. They also have coffee but the star of the show is the tart fruity flavors of vegan sorbet and weekly special flavors of gelato. The Thai tea and other milk teas are a good option to share as well! Top it all off with a supremely friendly staff for a great experience in downtown Encinitas.

So many unique flavors and quick service! This is a great place to hang out and meet friends to grab some gelato or a hot beverage.

Great place to come and and enjoy an extra strong coffee gelato and get high as a kite on the caffeine!I didn’t come down for three hours after that extra scoop of coffee gelato! Super fast service, delicious and creamy. I don’t think you can never go wrong from a place like this!

If you like to keep it local you will fall in live with G101. Only outdoor seating available. Corner location that allows for great people watching with a small town beach vibe. Premium coffee selections on the menu go well with the sweets.

Me and my bf fell in love with this place way back when it was still called Moonlight Frozen Yogurt or something very close to that. But the revamp which included making it aesthetically appealing (HUGE change, the limited space was so bland) and switching from froyo to gelato but still keeping the açaí bowls and boba drinks on the menu we initially obsessed over (yummy boba!) has really made this place that much more amazing. Not to mention best gelato/flavors around!

One of the best in Encinitas

This is the most delicious gelato in the world! I am hopelessly and helplessly addicted I’m afraid 😉So far I’ve tried the Tiramisu, Sea Salt Caramel, Mint Chip, and Chocolate and they’ve all been amazing. The chocolate is probably my favorite though if I was forced to choose. It is super dark; almost more like chocolate brownie batter. Yum! Can’t wait to try more flavors!

A corner of Italy in the USA. The Gelato is top of the line with qmazing flavor, refreshing and texture that remind me of home (I am from Italy). And the coffee Illy is just so on the spot that I felt like I never left! If you dont stop here for a coffee or a scoop of Gelato you are kissing out.

They also serve coffee, smoothies, boba, and açaí bowls.Simply put I wanted something light for lunch but was craving some sweetness as well. Açaí bowls always hit the spot for me. The Moonlight bowl sounded perfect since I was only a few blocks away from Moonlight Beach.My bowl was made of açaí purée & juice, fresh banana & strawberry, granola, and honey. It was simple & perfect. Tasted even better at the beach!

I love that the flavors are always changing with the fruit in season! The passion fruit, peach and chocolate are all to die for! The chocolate is the best ever, rich, smooth and creamy ❣️ I walk 6 miles on the beach from Del Mar to Gelato 101 for exercise and a treat reward at the end!

My kids swear that this is the best gelato they’ve ever had, and hubby & I agree! Each & every person working here obviously takes pride in this fantastic business & exudes kindness, and made us feel like family. We will be back again very soon! Maybe even today 🤣

Every time I’m in the area I make sure to stop in for this gelato. Staff is super friendly and the flavor options are amazing. My favorite flavor to date is charcoal...crazy color, delicious taste. Easy to find and a chill, clean atmosphere.

Absolutely a must visit the flavors are delicious and change out it appears daily but all the fresh fruit options taste exactly like the real fruits. The portions are great as well and they give you two flavors with even the smallest option so you’re sure to be satisfied. In addition they have a decent amount of seating which can’t be said for a lot of Encinitas businesses.
