This was easily one of the best breakfasts I have had. I had the country breakfast - the home fries were cooked perfectly. Sausage patty was juicy. The Eggs sunny-side-up were just right. My partner had the classic breakfast and also loved everything on his plate. We did wait a little bit for our meal but it was absolutely worth it! We’ll be back. We can see how hard the staff works here.
Atmosphere of a greasy spoon was definitely represented in this place which I actually like and respect but they definitely lost me on the food, it wasnt that good. Never seen deli meat on an eggs Benedict. The English Muffin wasnt even fried or toasted. The homefries were completely overcooked and burnt. The best part was the coconut French toast and the service which was the only reason I gave it a 3.

First time here (26 Jun) and my wife and I were one of the first ones in. The greeter lady was very sleepy-eyed and had not one iota of enthusiasm or energy in her. She forgot to bring us (or at least ask us if we would like any) sugar or creamer for our coffee. By the time it was brought to us, the coffee had cooled significantly. Fortunately, she wound up not being our server. The background music was a bit louder than it shouldve been for that hour of the morning, plus the speakers didnt make it any better as they were quite tinny, almost as if they had been overloaded way too many times. Now the good part. My french toast came out barely luke warm and cooled off even more once I added butter and syrup. However, I politely let the server know and she brought me new hot ones almost immediately. The bacon, sausages, french toast and eggs were hot enough and had good flavor. The server was enthusiastic, personable and professional. The prices were pretty reasonable. They would have gotten a 5 star rating if the greeter had, at the very least, pretended not to be there against her will. Id go back again.
Oh where to start, authentic diner food. It smells like a good ole diner absolutely wonderful. My kids had never been to a diner, they loved the food as did I and great coffee. Anytime I get over that way I will make sure to go here.
Where to begin.... we walk in and this kid not very impressed says sit wherever you want. We wait at least 5 minutes just to be acknowledged and he brings menus and silverware to a dirty table he takes our drink order and brings them when he hadnt even cleaned the table. Takes our order and half of mine came out wrong. He would have known had he ever come back to check on us. The food was horrible bacon tasted like it had been cooked in old grease, the hashbrowns were burnt and the omelet was burnt with maybe one slice of cheese in a3 egg omelet. Was really excited to try a new place regretting that decision now

The owner is super friendly and works hard at keeping the food top-notch and the customers happy. The Bloody Marys are very good! We always make a point of coming here anytime we drive from Maine for a concert!
The kid who runs the counter on Saturday is polite, professional, and quick with a great personality for the diner style atmosphere. The owner is lucky to have such a great employee. The other staff are very kind and helpful as well. The food is just what you would expect from a diner simple and delicious. Ive been three times already and will be returning for sure

We just walked out of the Union Diner. 32 minutes and still waitress never took our order while taking others that came in after us. I realize there is a worker shortage but open up you eyes. Left 3 bucks for coffee. Ive been going to the union for years and this is the first time this has happened to me. Ill come back but was to annoyed to wait longer. Went to McDonalds, delicious.

Had lunch with a friend recently. Even though there were few customers, our server was very slow to take our order. The food was just so so. I was disappointed because Ive eaten there before, and the food was very good. Am not going back.

Unfortunately my visit to this Diner was a bad experience on an otherwise delightful road trip to NH. Visited the Union Diner on a Sunday morning a few weekends back at around 1030am which is understandably peak time for morning breakfast which one can expect a bit of a wait. Upon arriving my party and I noticed that though the place was busy it was not overtly crowded and people were finishing their breakfast and heading out. So we waited for an attendant to seat us or to be placed on the waiting list for seating. After waiting at the door for several minutes we along with the few other guess who showed up after us noticed that there were no employees coming to take our name for seating. Equally there was no sign or instructions for seating arrangement as well. We then went to the bar & was told that a list can be signed by the outside seating area & someone will be out there shortly. I then observed someone come to the bar where a seat just opened up & sat with his company without even being on a list of any sort. Seeing this I should have realized that this place is totally unorganized and take our business elsewhere. Instead we went outside and waited another 10 minutes for someone to add us to the seating list. We were told by the staff worker who added our names that we can expect a 15 minute wait. No problem, we waited. About 20 minutes later we observed 4 tables become vacant with no staff cleaning the tables off for the growing pool of people awaiting seating. I then went inside to see what was going on, long story short - the staff was apologetic & sat us down at a table that wasnt yet cleaned off. Not before a rather rude patron said in a very snickering tone that if I dont like the service I should leave. No buddy YOU should leave. I almost lost it but decided that cooler heads prevail - I told that rude SOB to have a nice day! And it still took another 10 minutes for menus to be brought out to us. We decided to leave and go elsewhere. Overall, the service was poor and inattentive. Patience is indeed a virtue & e tried but when your in the business of customer service the management here needs to do a lot better when it comes to their customers. Cannot recommend this place . Skip it. Just as a side note, We found a total contrast in customer service, ambience and delicacy in a place a few minutes up the road called Kitchen Cravings. Hands down the best Corn beef Hash I ever tasted! Simply delicious.
OMG 1 of the BEST BURGERS I’ve had, great mixed drinks, awesome onion rings, great & friendly wait staff!! If ever in Laconia, definitely a place to visit for great home cooked food, not Chain Restaurant’s!! Will be back next time I’m in the area, Hands Down!! I had the Mushroom Bision Burger, Phenomenal!!!

Awesome place to dine especially for a Sunday breakfast or brunch. Food is soooo good. Eggs benny were the best and nothing comes close to their home fries. Team was kind, thoughtful, made us feel like family. Prices are VERY good. I do a lot of traveling and they were so reasonable. Can’t wait to go back!!

The breakfast place in the Weirs beach area, great breakfast where you can also get the best bloody Mary around . They are open for dinner some nights with prime rib on Saturday? I believe. Friendliest staff in town. A real dinner feel !!

We went for Pajanuary on Sunday morning: breakfast in our PJs! They have this every Sunday in January, the staff has theirs on too! So that was fun! The food here is always great. We went late Sunday morning, so had a Mimosa and they were delicious! It was very busy but we only had to wait a couple of minutes for a table. The service is attentive; we never went lacking for anything. They serve lunch and supper too.
Friendly and accomodating staff. The Ultimate Omelette was exactly what I needed, and they have nice morning drinks also.

We waited about 50 minutes for our food after ordering, no one checked on us, no refills on coffee... When we got the food the home fries, hash browns, and toast were all cold.Something must have been going on in the back of the house because the manager comped our meal before we even had a chance to complained. That is the only reason Im giving them 2 stars and possibly a second chance.
Used to come here a lot a few years ago and loved it but had a less than okay experience yesterday. The service and food was lacking.
Go early! We went around 8:30am. It gets really busy, but the breakfast is delicious!Bacon (as is all bacon) was delicious and had a nice smokey taste. Pancakes were great, but that syrup was even better.
A definite must stop breakfast place while visiting.

Nice place where a lot of the locals seem to go. Breakfast food was great and cheap (mostly greasy spoon options). There were alcohol drinks available like a Bloody Mary although we didnt order any. Service was good. Parking was a little tight but it was a holiday weekend.
Great place. Not too big and full of locals, a typical indicator of quality. The diner theme is great. The menu has good breakfast options, lots to choose from. I got the coconut crusted french toast and corned beef hash which was excellent. The coffee was good as well. Our waitress was wonderful, zipping around despite being some 6 months pregnant, and making sure everything was great. Would highly recommend as a great breakfast spot.

Last week was the first time we went to this magnificent restaurant. But It is surely not the last time. We had a good time with the attentive service, with the superb dishes and fine drinks and with the comfortable payment. We will surely visit there in a short time.
