Horrible sales and service. Gave them each multiple chances π€ Maybe someone was just having a bad day but after 5 consecutive less than positive experiences the pattern here is very clear.
Wife got an oil change here instead of the Hyundai dealership in Holyoke because it was the most convenient at the time and they kept recommending things that did not need to be done (cabin filter and engine filter). Had they actually checked instead of going off the mileage they would see both were brand new. They also replaced the windshield wipers with what seemed to be the wrong size or type and they actually flew off while using them on the highway! Would not recommend.
Buying process was as good or bad as any other dealership Ive dealt with. 2 weeks after taking delivery of used 2014 Optima EX 27000 mi. My son was driving and had a side wall blowout on the front passenger tire. Got to the side of the road prepared to change tire and found this ( three cans of old paint (please see photo). Called dealership left message on Sunday, No response, called again Monday was transferred to David. I was told in no uncertain terms spare tires and jacks are not included in Sedans and tires are not under warranty. and that it was not his problem. I asked why they let my 17 year old son drive a car off their lot without a spare and without notifying me that I would have to buy it. I asked why wasnt I told that when were buying it. I was told AGAIN not our problem, and that I should of known it did not come with a spare. I asked if this was his final answer and I was told yes and he couldnt care less if I wrote a bad review.From the pic It is obvious this car was never inspected and they had no idea if this had a spare or not. It causes me to wonder what else was not inspected. I expect this kind of nonsense from a corner car dealer not the number 1 volume Kia dealer in the country. Dispite thier slogan they dont care about you or your family. I wonder if Gary would let his kids drive off the lot without a spare or at least warn them that they do not have a spare.
I recently purchased a car at Gary Rome Kia. It was such an amazing experience. One of the best I have ever had. My sales associate was so knowledgeable and added no pressure. Offered some options to think about when negotiating the pricing. If your thinking of buying a car soon, definitely meet DβAngelo Sanchez! You wonβt regret it!

Every person there was great 5 star really. The building and car selection was 5 star as well. Brian was my salesman and he did everything he could to get me in the car I wanted and seceded. I drove 4 hours for one specific car. Detail shop could of done a better job but still 5 stars from me.
We were very pleased with the purchasing process; DAngelo was our salesman. He was very professional, polite and showed great knowledge of the vehicles on their lot. I would highly recommend going to this Kia dealership, its a smaller dealership but we felt like we were having honest conversations with a person. Instead of other larger dealerships where youre simply a number in a sea of cubicles.
Visited this dealership today because we are looking at getting a third vehicle for us. We spent a few minutes looking at different vehicles at the lot across the street, we are mainly interested in the telluride and there wasnt may to look at but we noticed some at the small parking lot the dealership building is on. We drove over and started looking at the outside of one and after a few minutes a gentleman comes out and places a tag on the windshield wiper saying they one we were looking at was sold. The man didnt make eye contact, didnt say hello or even acknowledge us at all. We continued looking at different ones and even checking out a different model and still no one has acknowledged us. This is honestly the first time I have ever been to a dealership and spent time in their lots and not been greeted.
I had a good feeling from the moment I walked in the door. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with. The dealership was highly recommended by two separate friends and I live out of state. I was not looking forward to the 2 hour drive and thought for sure I was going to have to make the drive twice. Needless to say everything went smoothly and I was able to leave with my new car in the same day incredibly happy. I love my new(to me) carI worked with Brian Boglisch and he was absolutely wonderful

My experience was probably one of the best from any car service Ive been to. I was quite impressed with the level of customer service from speaking on the phone to walking in the door and then leaving. The gentleman I dealt with was very helpful and personable. When my car was ready, he walked me out to my car and opened the door to make sure the car was ready and mats were out for me to leave. Excellent customer service and the work was done well also.

Bought a new SUV and decided Kia was our best option, canβt beat 10yr 100,000mi and best of all DβAngelo Sanchez was the best salesman I have ever worked with. This is my third vehicle and Iβve always felt like no one was listening to what I wanted or pushed me into something I didnβt want. Couldnβt have asked for better service and reliability. We will be back for my mom in a few years and for myself in another 10.

I rarely write reviews but I feel compelled to write this one. I went into GR Kia to shop for a Kia Seltos. I explained that I had been shopping around at other dealers and because I lived so close I wanted to give them the opportunity to earn my business. I informed the sales person that I had a car to trade in and that I had also had a deal with another dealership. I showed him the breakdown of the deal from the other dealership and asked him if they would beat it. He took it to the business manager and came back with a no. The other dealership was $1300 better and I was only asking them to beat it by $500. If they wouldβve done it I would have signed right then and there. They refused, so I left. I did the same with another dealership and the deal was agreed to right away, with hesitation for about 30 seconds.I went back the next day and spoke to the business manager, not really to complain but more or less to give them feedback about my experience and how disappointed I was. I was shocked when the business manager told me that the reason they wouldnβt agree to the deal is because they donβt have the wiggle room financially that other dealerships have. He said βItβs sort of like Home Depot vs. a local hardware store. Everything is cheaper in Home Depot because itβs a big chain but in the hardware store everything is more expensive because itβs a small business a d profit margins are smallerβ.So buyer beware- you WILL pay more at GR Kia. Shop around if you want the best deal.Iβm giving 2 stars because the people there are really nice and professional. Otherwise it would be a 1.

Employees are very friendly and environment is clean! But I always wait longer than they say to bring my car back in for an oil change, but I just donβt drive enough anymore to make it feasible to bring it that often
These guys are fantastic--true professionals. I live out of state, about half-way across the country, and Gary Rome Kia made the purchasing process simple and enjoyable. I bought a used 2017 Soul EV and was able to do the entire deal over the phone AND they were able to beat my banks financing rate. Even better, they were able to secure shipping for the vehicle at a lower rate than could be found online. Negotiation was fair and straightforward with no surprise hidden fees tacked on to the end. Excellent communication--they kept me in the loop on everything. Vehicle was delivered fully detailed and I could not be happier with my purchase. I would like to tell you about my experience at the dealership yesterday evening.I arrived at the time we agreed upon yesterday afternoon with my wife and father in law. First, although I was the first one in the door and the appointment was for me, both men looked straight past me to my father in law. I had to speak up and tell them the appointment was for me. The man assigned to help us, Anthony Santinello, knew nothing about our appointment and was completely unprepared. He rushed us around the lot (literally speed walking while my father in law struggled to keep up due to a foot injury) and told us that one of the cars we were looking for was sold hours before.It happened to be the less expensive vehicle that would have been in right in our budget. I would have preferred to recieve a call or text notifying me of that.I could have looked past this if the sales person showed any interest in talking to us about other vehicles, or even the one we went to look at. He told us no information. When I was explaining what I was looking for in a vehicle he has NO interest and I felt brushed off. He didnt even bother telling me details about the vehicle we were looking at. He allowed us to take the car for a test drive, never took our licenses.The rear tire had a subtle noise and when my father in law asked about it, he rudely brushed it off instead of addressing our concern.We had already been approved for $20,000 from our credit union. The car came to $21,170. He told us there was no working on price, dismissed our concerns about another credit pull if we apply for financing at your establishment, and treated us as if we were not serious about purchasing a vehicle at all. I could have put a cash down payment and made this work in our budget but the experience we had with this sales person was horrendous.I would never, ever send one my female friends to your dealership ever. I felt no confidence in buying from this place and the his salesmanship was extremely poor.It was everything you fear as a woman going to buy a car in a male dominated field. I felt as though I was not taken seriously, intimidated, and despite going prepared I was treated as if I knew nothing.

We Experienced pretty good customer service with our first time at Gary Rome. Making the appointment, the details shared by our service writer, off-hours car drop, payment and pick up were all excellent. Some improvements that could be made to improve the experience are:1) Change the separate phone number to call for service. The line isnβt dedicated for service - it appears to be shared with sales.2) Figure out how to make the car year editable in your system. I verbally shared the wrong year when making the appt. when I got the text confirming it, I realized it was wrong and called back. According to the service person taking my call, the field for car year was not editable. Hoping it was editable at some other point, else my car will always have the wrong year.3) Was told that the parts needed to be ordered and it would be a few days. It would have been an even better experience if someone called me to say when the part(s) arrived and when a technician would be working in it. Instead, I called looking for a status on what was going on. I dropped the car off on a Wed night, received the info on what was needed and the need to order parts the next day. All great, but when we didnβt hear from anyone on the following Thursday...we called, left a msg. We received a call back saying it was all set.Again, we had a very good experience and it can only be made better by these suggestion. Thank you!

They were very friendly and helpful. Took care of an issue covered under warranty, but did a few other things in addition to that without charge. It May be something as simple as a free battery for my key fob, or swapping out a fuse but with most people and places putting their hand out for every dime and nickel, its those little things that are appreciated. All in all the few times Ive had to go there they were very friendly and helpful. ππ
I made an appointment for a recall of a minor software upgrade. I was greeted by Mr Brian Boglisch Who was very professional. He told us what was going to be done to the vehicle and gave me an estimate on how long it would take. Sure enough, it was done within the stated time and we even received a comp car wash! I started going to Enfield Kia because I didnβt like the service East Hartford provided. East Hartford was very pushy. Enfield Kia isnβt like this. Very friendly, told me what they recommended and didnβt force me or make me feel guilty for having my own personal mechanic. Theyβve done two recalls and have been wonderful.
Everyone is very nice. They help you find the right vehicle that fits you and what you can afford. Everyones doing their part to answer your questions and help you. I bought a Kia Sonata, what a nice vehicle. They gave me a great price on my vehicle and bottom price on the Sonata. And a very good rate on the financing. They even putting in a remote starter thats covered under the warranty.

Would not recommend this place to anyone. Yesterday was the worst experience Ive ever had with any dealership while getting my vehicle serviced before my military move. The lack of common sense, the lack of respect and the unprofessional manner that they communicate with their customers is atrocious. Id highly encourage Gary Rome to take the time to evaluate the professionalism or lack thereof that his Service Writers/Advisors staff give their clientele. Although the Service Manager took the time to try calming the heated argument (yes it got that far) between the Service staff and I, the experience is irreversible. Service your vehicles here at your own risk.

If only I could give this place 0 stars.Kindly take your business elsewhere (perhaps Kia in Wallingford, they are professional and provide exceptional service)Called 2 days ahead to get a quote on repairs, I was told its $125 for diagnosis which would go towards the repairs; if I went ahead and got the repairs. If I didnt, it would just be the technicians fee for diagnosing my car.So I made an appt, got the diagnosis when it came to actually getting repairs done, the employee denied that the $125 would go towards the repairs, and claimed thats just a separate fee for diagnosis. (Such convenient timing to inform me about this, so now I would have to pay for the ~$1000 repairs and the $125 fee).When I insisted that I was told about this over the phone (it is not fair that they go back on their word) all the nearby employees just swarmed in and started denying that claim; moreover, just blamed the person I had talked to on the phone.They are unprofessional; make you feel like youre lying infront of all the customers. So they either dont train their employees and/or dont have fixed policies on such matters thus allowing them to go back on their word at their convenience.I would have been okay with the whole diagnostic fee does not go towards repairs if they would have just been truthful when I called or even talked to the employee when I initially walked in.This incident just reflects on how poorly this particular branch treats their customers and the business theyre bringing in.Anyways, moving on to the service; when I got there I just stood there waiting to be helped while they all just chatted away even after they made eye contact with me.Also, with covid going on you would think they would have some precautions in place? Nope!!! No disinfecting or cleaning seen after customers left. They had no social distancing in place, they just stuffed all the customers in a small waiting room, chairs right next to each other. Also noticed staff with their masks on their chin or dangling on their ear (cause apparently thats how you protect yourself and others).Nitpicking on this, but be prepared to just sit there in the stuffy room cause they will never have your car serviced on time, it will most likely take another 1/2-1hr.

When Im at the dealership they tell me that the car is sold. I had to drive two hours to get there and they tell me that stupid thing. That the car was sold today. I had already made the appointment and selected the car. You can be more professional. Bab service.
Dont try to haggle with them they wont go lower than what theyre asking price are for there cars. they might give you other deals but no price changes. There not totally community to their customers! Antenna fin came off theyre trying to charge me $250 just for a plastic part. The antenna still works just the plastic cover came off. They just dont sell the plastic piece you got to buy the whole new part. If they really care about the customers they would have what we need. they dont care all about the money!!!

When we brought the car in there were several lights on the dashboard that were on for low tire pressure and we were surprised that they were not addressed through 38 point inspection the car should have been put through. When we dropped the car off there was a half full can of soda in the center cup holder and when we retrieved the vehicle the can was upside down with all of the liquid having been emptied in the cup holder.
I recently purchased a 2017 Sante Fe and after about 3 months i noticed a small rust spot. We called Steve and he had us bring it in and promised to look at it. They took the car for 2 days and it looks as good as new.Let me tell you, other large dealers would not have done that. I know because I worked for one of them. Thank you Enfield Gary Rome and Steve.
Not much to say about this dealership other than I wont be back. Salesman was okay but he discouraged me from looking at any of the Kia Tellurides as he said they were all being sold for several thousand over MSRP including the used vehicles although there was nothing on the window sticker to indicate this. I looked online and it didnt show any additional markup either. So Im at a loss for what the salesman was telling me. Theres plenty more Kia dealers so why bother with this one.

Me and my family moved recently to US and I was in the market for a family car: after a few researches I visited Gary Rome Kia. They really care about their (potential) costumers and do all they can to make you feel comfortable. I made a lot of very basic questions and they were clear and fair in answering.I ended up buying a certified Sorento for a fair price and in very good condition.But the best came when I made the first service: for a service that should cost around 40$ they came to pick up my car as scheduled, serviced, washed, changed the remote battery, ordered a part under the warranty and brought back to me in few hours. And I ended up paying nothing!!!I am really impressed by the service.Keep it up Gary Rome, good job pays always back.

I dropped my 2020 Kia Telluride off for an oil change, rotate tires, safety check and a recall to be fixed. When I went to pick up my vehicle, the oil was completed, tires were not rotated and the recall had to be rescheduled.The tire rotation was inconvenient, and the person at the service desk made up a story that the tires didnt need it. But it was time to rotate them. That wasnt the big problem, when they washed my vehicle. The person who washed the wheels must have used a scuff pad or a wash mitt loaded with sand. I called the manager nobody returned my phone call, this has not been a positive experience for me.
In leasing my new Kia Sportage John Bruso was the sales consultant, he walked me through the whole process, I was very impressed with his experience and thoughtfulness and patience. I previously leased a 2018 Kia Sportage, but the 2021 Sportage appears bigger and heavier. Iβm happy to say Iβm enjoying my new car

After learning of Gary Rome and a great salesman John Bruso, I started via email to target the vehicle I wanted which was a particular color and style combo. because Im an hour and a half away we did everything over emails and calls. This went so smooth that the deal was done and The 1st time I saw or drove it was the day I was picking it up. No Pressure, all ready for me, the deal I wanted what more can you ask for? John is a 10 yr Veteran of Gary Rome (unusual for car dealer workers, most hop around). I could not be more pleased with the staff and the car. Long story - Plain and simple, go to another KIA dealer!Horrible experience buying a car from here. I was flying in from CA to purchase a car (we were moving back east) and coordinated the entire deal with Anthony via email. We did everything remote, the last part of the deal was to pay the remaining down payment, we even signed the paper work and was good to go. Fast forward to pick up day, Anthony was disorganized and late to the airport to pick up my wife. Then inside the dealership Anthony asked my Wife for $500 more than was originally agreed upon, luckily she knew the numbers well and called me to confirm. Got an Oops, sorry from Anthony. After a few hours my wife is on her way home, not the smoothest pick up and slightly annoyed by Anthony asking for more money after agreeing upon the price of the car.Once home the car was parked and we thought this was all over... Went back to move the car in the drive way and the car would not start. After a few attempts, switching keys and attempting to jump start the car I called Anthony at the dealer, in which he claimed the car started fine and I would have to talk to service and he transferred me to service (on a Saturday, so they were closed and I got voice mail...). So I went through Kia roadside and they were helpful in sending out AAA to jump the car. Long story short and a few days of headaches the car was diagnosed with a dead battery. I worked with Ivy in their parts dept to get a new battery installed at the house, she was willing to work with us and got us a new battery without having to come into the dealership again (this is the only reasons for the one star....). Also when I saw the car in person a few days after this ordeal I noticed the car did not come with the floor mats that were depicted on the sticker (annoying, but adds to this mess).Fast forward a month and a half, my temp tags are expired (Meaning I cant drive the car) and I get a call from the Finance manager that they are missing my proof of insurance and Anthony has been attempting to contact me about that to get my car registered. I call total BS, Anthony never attempted to contact me after the sale and now I have a car that I legally cant drive on the street that I am paying for.When factoring all of these into account I can say this has been the worst car buying experience to date and I will NEVER return to a Gary Rome dealer.

Came here to look at a 2017 Kia Sedona. They ran quotes for the loan with several banks and said I could only get X interest rate - ended up walking out because it was too high and I heard one of their salesmen lie about the fact that a document fee is required by CT law (it is not, its negotiable under CT law and I believe lying about it is fraud). A few days later I reached out to Capital One directly, and they pulled up the quote from Gary Rome Kia - the bank quoted 2 percentage points lower on the same loan than the Kia dealer did!Definitely do NOT recommend this dealer!

Decided to give this place a shot after numerous TERRIBLE experiences with Balise Kia. Would 10/10 recommend this dealership as compared to my experiences with Balise. Realistic times given and staff was welcoming and not pushy, yet still informative.

I bought a 2020 soul in march 2020, not from gary Rome but from a different dealership in East Hartford that is incovenient for me to get to. In the middle of the covid shut down it was time for its first round of routine service/oil change. Needless to say, I waited a while before bringing it in with all the craziness. I called Gary Rome in Enfield because they are so close to my work I can walk there. I talked to Brian and he made me an appointment the same day I called... So easy! I brought my car in on 10/15 with about 4500 miles on it. Overdue for its oil change, but not excessively. I got a call shortly after I dropped it off. Tristan from the service department wanted to let me know they heard a knocking when they started it and discovered there was NO OIL in my brand new car. I was shocked, and so were they. We all knew the car was overdue, but the oil should not be empty. No dashboard lights came on to tell me any issues with the oil pressure or a check engine light-- nothing. I couldnt remember when there was no knocking. Why would I suspect something was wrong with my brand new car? They were concerned about damage to the engine and told me they were going look further into it, but wanted to let me know it might not be good. Sure enough it was the worst... Tristan called me later that afternoon and let me know my engine in my brand new car was ruined and needed to be replaced. Immediately I am panicking because I have no car to get home since I walked back to my office down the street. Also, who was going to pay for this??? Tristan already took care of everything and made this whole process so easy. He had a free loaner vehicle that had just come back that day and made sure he snagged it for me. The loaner was another soul and now I know how it is supposed to sound, go figure. He already sent a claim under my warranty to get the engine replaced. He also gave me the heads up that it might be a while before I get my car back because they had to wait for approval from Kia for the warranty and they would need to order the engine. By Monday they got the approval to replace the engine under the warranty. I was expecting at least 2 weeks from the approval for me to get my car back. They had it done by Friday 10/23. I am overly impressed with how well Tristan and his team treated me. I picked it up Saturday from Brian, who had originally set up my appointment. I remember telling Tristan that if this all worked out, I am buying every car from Gary Rome until the day I cant drive anymore, and I sure will! My world was turned upside down and they took care of everything and made such a bizarre turn of events an easy fix. I cant say enough good things about them. My car is running great and I am just relieved to have it back. My husbands Sorento will be due for service soon. I told him I am bringing it to Gary Rome so see you guys again soon!

Just drove down from Massachusetts and the salesperson did not take my wife or I seriously when we asked about seeing some vehicles, told us to go sit in the one open vehicle they had (mind you, not one we were interested in) and didnt bother to even try opening any other vehicles. Obviously we are serious about buying a new vehicle but apparently because we are young that goes out the window.
Employees are friendly and accommodating while using service department.

People are rude. My husband brought his Kia in for a full diagnosis. Price was 120.00... When we went to go get it they charged 120.00 for diagnosis and another 100 bucks for labor.... ?????? Hmmmm how do u diagnose without labor ??? And y charge 120.00 plus labor .. Nobody said anything about labor..Will never go back here and will definitely be filing with the class action suit against Kia !

Bought a car from here with care package. ( dents, scratches etc.) was told it covered everything. Just call and manager would take care of it. I called and was told it was my fault the guy who told me that was a liar. They wouldnβt fix anything. Go somewhere else!
My lease was up this year and I just walked out with a brand new car today thanks to Justin and the team! They gave me the best deal around (And yes Ive checked other dealerships) and I cant say thank you enough. They are fast, efficient, and very caring through out the process. Drove out of my way to visit Gary Rome and wasnβt there very long because the salesman couldnβt be bothered helping me. He didnβt even introduce himself so I donβt know a name. He gave me keys to test drive and then when I got back didnβt even get out of his chair. He was rude, didnβt explain anything about the car and wasnβt interested in making the sale. Horrible experience!!
