East Coast Cutlery is the place to go for your knife and blade sharpening needs! Sheldon is really friendly and easy to work with. I brought in my 12 year olds Calphon katana knife and a 14 year cleaver. I had never really thought about getting them professional sharpened. Oh boy what a difference! He essentially created a brand new edge by trimming away the original layer that had dings and nicks. That’s the real difference between just sharpening at home. You can’t thin out the blade to create a new edge.He restored my knifes so they now cut as the day I first bought them. The location is a bit hard to find. The owner said he’s working on putting more signage.Drive into the complex and stay to your left side. Park in the designated area and keep walking down. On your right side you will see double glass doors.
A pleasure to work with. I discovered the beauty of a properly sharpened knife through East Coast, what a difference! Simple process, knowledgeable staff, fair price. It works for me. Highly recommend! Thanks for your help Sheldon
I have a Santoku that needed sharpening after years of use. (I have a honing rod but realize thats not the same as professional sharpening.) Sheldon was very nice and helpful. I dropped my knife off on a Thursday and had it back sharpened within 24 hours. Now its cutting like new again, so Im happy! I would recommend calling ahead of time to coordinate drop off and pick up as they are extremely responsive by phone and the location is not an obvious storefront.
Excellent customer service! Really appreciate it!
