Awesome customer service. Called up to see if they had a hard to find game. They had and it was on my doorstep in a day and a half. Rocco is very knowledgeable and was a treat to deal with, Will be making a road trip in the future.

Griffions Lair is a Game and Hobby store located in Erie Pa. They specialize in multiple miniature and board games. They also have many Role Playing Groups that game there. Store is well stocked and very clean. The store has five 6x4 foot tables, one eight footer and one 4x4 foot gaming tables and terrain for just about anything you play, all provided free of charge to use in you games. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They will also get you most anything they dont have in stock within the same week you order it. No minimum orders or credit card surcharges either. Leading the way in local gaming.

Griffons Lair is one of the best game stores I’ve been in. The people that work there are uber friendly; all you gotta do is simply start a conversation :))•With the newest expansion means a super wide variety of goods from legion and warhammer to basing supplies and gaming mats for tables, and thats just on the tabletop gaming side. The other side is all cards and other things like boardgames and cardsleeves, dice and more. They hold game nights and tournaments.•I always feel comfortable coming into either side of the store, and the other customers are usually very friendly and will offer to play with you or even just talk to you. Everyone that works there is also willing to give tips and tricks on games and painting techniques, so you’ll never leave griffons without something!•I’ll always come here over and over again, thanks guys for helping me really jumpstart my hobby :)))

I placed an order in May and unfortunately it never arrived; however, unlike some reviews I did not have as a negative experience. We are going through a pandemic, there are a lot of delays with orders with a lot of companies. This is not a big box store, it appears to be a local business. Be a patient, a bit of compassion and understanding goes a long way. Additionally, their website does say it is undergoing a revamp. When I emailed, I didnt get a response but when I reached out via Facebook messenger, I got a response within a timely manner. They checked on my order and and explained what was causing the delay. I gave it a little more time but unfortunately their distributor hadnt gotten back to them. Not only did they respond to my message at 10:30 at night, but they were very apologetic and offered me a full refund. I received my refund in a timely manner. Although I didnt get the product I ordered, in my opinion I had a good customer experience. I appreciate the open communication I received. Because of that, I feel they deserve 5 stars. Whoever reads my review, please be kind, this pandemic is hard on everyone. As I stated before, compassion and understanding goes a long way.

Does not check email on orders. I ordered two copies of ASOIF Neutral Heros II shown in stock in May 2020. They werent. After finally getting an answer that Griffons Lair was waiting on a restock, I canceled them via email. Griffons shipped them in September 2020, I sent a couple more emails telling them not to ship them and they did anyway. I have contacted them for a return label and they are not responding. Buyer beware, services is not good. Going to let the credit company make the call. I sent them all the emails showing how they answer some while claiming the didnt receive others. There are other reviews with order problems in google reviews.

As a Cincinnati resident Im generally not inclined to say nice things about anything from Pennsylvania. I was very impressed of how promptly they handled my order and their responsiveness; they had an item I couldnt find in stock literally anywhere else and shipped it quickly. These are good folks, highly recommended.

Found this shop online looking for an out of print expansion. They had it and were very easy to work with and getting it shipped to me. The package came very quickly and in perfect condition. I am so happy I found this store!

Their website sells merchandise it does not have in stock. Then, rather than notify me, they decide to just keep my money. SHADY. Several days after it was supposed to arrive I decided to make a call. Apparently the guy was aware of this flaw yet mysteriously unable to do anything about it. SHADY. I’m sure he wouldn’t gotten around to it at some point right? But, in the end he did refund me so that’s your 2nd star.

BEWARE!!! Placed order on 6/2 and was promptly charged. Order has never shipped, no correspondence from this company regarding my order. Emailed and posted over 5 messages with no response. Attempted calls but goes to notice voicemail has not been set up. Terrible way to treat customers. This company makes constant updates to Facebook of new items they got in but refuses or just doesn’t care to fulfill orders or respond choosing to take our money.

Ordered a Clone Wars Core box set on May 11th, and heard back from them once and my order never shipped. So I had to go through paypal and escalate it to a claim which was closed in my favor. Its a real shame because as a small business owner myself I wanted to support another somewhat local business but I was essentially ghosted without my order or money. Thankfully I paid with paypal and they were able to see I tried on my end to contact them and was ignored. So 7 weeks later I was finally refunded.

Awesome gaming store! The Griffons Lair had such a cool atmosphere, and really friendly staff. There was a nice selection of gaming supplies there too. My favorite part was the friendly gamers at the gaming tables. I really liked this place and look forward to going back!

I ordered 5 weeks ago and still haven’t received my game. My emails have been ignored. Very unhappy as I could have easily ordered the game from literally anyone else and gotten it sooner. Horrible service.

Another update: I contacted them again because its now been almost 6 weeks since I placed my order. 5 weeks since they said their warehouse opened and also since they posted on Facebook images of them getting my product in store. 4 weeks since they told me orders would be sent out by the end of the week or earlier. I also left a review on their Facebook page telling this. I was accused of lying on both my review and my post questioning about my order. They deleted my post and reported my review to Facebook. They said in their response to my review maybe if you actually provided some information about your actual order we could help you instead of wondering who peed in your cornflakes instead of a normal polite response most businesses say like sorry for the inconvenience please send us a private message with your information so we can find out. So theyve just been giving me generalized responses and lies for the last month. I responded in private messages with my name on the order and order number. They sent several responses claiming even my first name is different between Facebook and the order (my last name is different because of marriage but my first name is not spelled wrong unless someone on their end spelled it wrong. My receipt has my name right and my bank wouldnt have accepted it spelled wrong.) So thats just another excuse. They also argued that they didnt send my item from the store as they did with other peoples faster orders because they havent had my item in the store. But they posted a picture of a bunch of my item getting in store a week after I ordered. They finally claimed they have immediately issued a refund. It has yet to go through. My bank will show the refund immediately so the delay is on their end as well. We will see how long this immediate refund takes.Update: someone else posted on here just a few days ago saying they ordered something and received it quickly. Either she is a liar or Griffons Lair is shipping things all out of order. My item has still not been shipped. I finally heard back from them. Apparently they just started shipping things a week and a half ago. So either the other people leaving good reviews, talking about fast shipping are liars, or Griffons Lair is a bunch of liars about them not shipping anything in the last 2 months.Ordered something over 2 weeks ago and still waiting for it to ship. They dont answer my numerous attempts to contact them to ask what is going on with my order. They dont answer their phone. They dont respond through Facebook despite posting almost daily and claiming to respond within 24 hrs. I would think maybe its just because of covid but I see someone on here posted about 2 weeks ago that their order was shipped quickly and the staff was great so I guess its just them singling me out since Im a first time customer. Shame. I was really happy to see their items they sell and their prices and was going to start shopping here regularly. But Im not going to be ordering from here again.
