Their advertised specials are rarely available. This week was a cheese steak special. They offered chicken as a substitute. Last time it was a spaghetti and meatball special. They had to substitute a smaller bag of meatballs, and those were out of stock.

I really like some of the workers however this store feels dark, depressing, and the employees look miserable. This vibe really rubs off on customers and the general negativity feels systemic, so no matter what the employees do on an individual basis, overcoming the atmosphere must be challenging. It seems that in order to improve, the effort and change most likely needs to work its way from the top down and not solely put on the employees shoulders.Also, what is it with Safeway bathrooms? There is no other chain of stores where the bathrooms are consistently gross...doesnt even matter if theyre different stores but I stay away at all costs!

Safeway is way better than King Soopers! Safeway doesnt have that stupid recording playing over the loudspeakers about The Variant and how they suggest masking up, even if you took their sheeps milk. Thank You Safeway, for Not being Tyranical

This store is always clean. Their associates and managers are quick to help customers. If I cant find what I need, theyll find it for me and will offer a substitute (at the sale price) for a sale item thats out of stock. Thanks!

Walked in yesterday and as I have done since Covid, I use a bag for my groceries instead of touching a cart. Mike was watching the front door, I walked in and then he came and found me as I was already in the produce section and told me I couldn’t use my bag because theft was on the rise. I felt very targeted and upset as I have never stole anything in my life nor do I have any intention to. What an awful experience to feel accused of something just for walking in with a bag. They have lost my business and I have already shared the experience with multiple people. Just awful!

I prefer Safeway. There meat and produce is always so good. Plus a man could see I needed help and asked me if he could help them took me to the produce. Super helpful.

Good prices but they look at a hippy gypsy weirdly. I can feel the stares. Not sure why? Oh well, need to change atmosphere a little to catch the King. Later

While this is not my local store, I thought it was great. Safeway always seems very clean and conscious of making sure there are sanitizers available. And I can find everything I need here.

This store is normally wonderful to visit, however my cashier was a younger girl with dark hair and I dont know how others feel but when Im checking out, I prefer a hi or how are you today? And the cashier I had didnt speak a word to me...she didnt even tell me the total of my purchases..then handed me the receipt without a word...not friendly at all. No, I dont need to have a full fledge drug out convo, but at least a have a nice day or something...I know not everyone enjoys thier job but that had to be the rudest experience Ive had in quite a while! Highly disappointed in my shopping trip...

I love Safeway. The one on highway 287 in Erie is a great place with a general good selection of food. Good produce. The staff are amazing here.

Excellent staff and the meat counter quality has gotten way better in the last couple years.

On par with most other Safeways in the area, in terms of whats available. Although some other Safeways I have been to had more to offer in terms of items at the Deli.

When did Safeway become so bad or is this one just an outlier? Admittedly its been a few years since I went to Safeway much, ever since they pulled the understaffing cashiers because poor us thing. The butcher at this one is pretty decent but most of the produce we bought wasnt good. The peaches and other stone fruit for example had certainly been stored in the fridge previously which for unripened stone fruit of course leads to it not ripening properly. Overall the store isnt in great shape.

Very convenient off hwy 287 and Arapahoe perfect for quick in-and-out last minute items.. this is the only place I shop, very friendly knowledgeable employees that always offer assistance anyway they can! plenty of checkouts open along with self checkout.. very rarely have I had to wait in line to checkout

I choose wheat ridge Safeway specifically because all the staff is nice, the store isnt so busy and they always have what Im looking for.

No problem to use the bathroom and fill my water jug from the sink.

Couple of the store managers are not very friendly. Yet there is one that makes up for them. Clerks seem like there never happy or they have better things to do besides be at work.

I enjoy digital coupons and every so often receive a free item. Also store recommends mask and yet I see people in store without one. They need to monitor better. Either you have to wear one or not.

I absolutely love the employees here. No matter what they always have a smile on their faces

Gov announced today face masks mandatory! But there were a couple of shoppers with face mask under chin. I love the produce here but everything else is so over priced! And they don’t carry everything you need. Plus no one else follows the aisle arrows!! But that’s everywhere. I’m going back to King Soopers for everything but produce.

This has a small town feel. Not many people most times of the day. Store wide protocols such as plexiglass at the registers and one way aisles help shoppers social distance. As well as a sign at the front door asking for masks to be worn by all who enter. Will shop here again.

I have lived here for 20 + yrs, and have never cared for Safeway. I think the priced are higher than the competition, however; will run there in an emergency. I have not been for several years, and after passing the Masks Required sign, found 4 out of the 8 people I passed not wearing masks. I usually do pickup, and when I have been in King Soopers, all occupants were wearing masks. Enforce your sign! Will not go back.

This is like a designer store! So clean and set up so nice Id expect to be in Aspen not Frisco! So well stocked, no huge crowds of customers, plenty of lines open. Great decorations and good quality food compared to stores around the summit and lake county areas.

Its safeway. They have standard groceries, and can be sold out of staples.

The layout of the store sucks. For example....try finding lip balm. It is in at least three places not counting the checkout aisles.

They are careful with their customers and staff. I started going there in the beginning of Covid19 because no one else was. I felt safer there than anywhere except maybe Walgreens. I had to go to other places thru need.

Out of lots of things, over-priced, poor labeling.

Seems to be constantly under-staffed. Often items are not stocked on the shelves and checkout lines are long. Meat department is the one reason why I continue to go here, they consistently have much better quality and cuts of meat than their competition.

Like Safeway. It is my preferred store locally. It is usually not very crowded and if you know how to shop it has what you need. Only annoying thing.....and it’s a BIG one, 9 times out of 10, not enough check out lanes open. I cringe every time I hear “threes a crowd on one”. (Which is a call they use for more cashiers) Then they come to get you out of line to move to the newly opened line. (Which will actually extend your time if you have product on the belt and also screws the person who has been waiting the longest. It’s as if they haven’t noticed the population explosion that has happened locally.My advise.... keep three lines open at all times or join modern society and get self check out stations. Seriously this happens 9 out of 10 times. “Threes a crowd on one”. Annoying!King Soopers may be crowded down every isle to the point that you feel as if you are in competition for every inch of space, but when it comes to checking out it’s a smooth process. And while you may have to wait at times to checkout, at least you don’t feel it’s because someone is asleep at the wheel.

Great Store! Always well stocked. The Floral department & Produce Depart always have what customers are looking for, if not they will make for you.The other day, I asked Gale if they had anymore sliced peppers in back, she stopped stocking, asked me how many I needed & went out of her way to slice up some peppers for me. Then found me & delivered them while I continued my shopping. Autumn, the floral department always looks great & she consistently goes the extra mile to make beautiful arrangements for customers.Job well done ladies!

Safeway is my grocery. This location is on par with the best. Great produce, wide isles, fresh meat, and cheap prices makes it easy to drive past other stores.

Customer service is good.

Good store, good deals with weekend sales. Not crowded like King Soopers. Monte is a good cashier and Adam the manager is very helpful.

Its a good store

This store seems to be a front for something else. Whenever I am there, there are very few people shopping. I honestly dont know how a grocery store with so few customers can stay in business. The lack of a crowd might be a plus, but they only ever have one or two check stands open, and since I only ever go in here for one or two things on my way home from work, I usually spend most of my time waiting for the cashier. They have told me several times when I ask that they will never get self check stands because the owner or manager doesnt believe in them. I do my main grocery shopping elsewhere.

This store has really gone down hill in the past 6 months. The produce department is terrible - with rotting food on the displays. The deli is always understaffed and there is never anyone at the customer service counter. The best part of this store is the amazing floral department which is fresh, clean and always staffed with friendly employees.

This store is nicely laid out and has a good selection of things Im looking for. However, when you get to the front they always seem to be understaffed and the lines are extra long! This situation is aggravated because they dont have self checkout.

Nice store !! Its a Safeway so not a lot of people havent been before. Produce is quality at lower price than the chain of health food store . Bathroom is available and well kept. Service is why I come here, I can get my meat the way I want it cut see food is reasonably fresh. Pharmacy is always good . Darry is higher quality than the other stores watch prices and sales ( some nonsale prices are higher) but its nice to have a staff that wants to help you unlike other big stores (wall Mart and the like) plenty of parking handicap parking as well .

Self scanners are going to be operational on Monday....May 21st. Good produce selection. Friendly staff...Meat department is great as well.

This Safeway store is a smaller grocery store but it is nice an clean with a very nice produce section. Prices are reasonable.

Everyone was nice and we found everthing that we needed. Dont always shop there, but though we give it a try and it was good.
