I was trying to create a special piece of art featuring a family tree. It was to be a memorial tree in honor of my father who had recently passed. It was to make use of marble tiles in the shape of a leaf that would carry words that family and friends associated with my dad (e.g. family, loving, strong, fair, loyal, father, uncle, brother, Marine, etc). It was going to be large--about 50 by 32. I had the leaves; but how to make a tree trunk? After finding a pattern of one that was the right size and scale for the leaves, I then needed to figure out how to do the trunk of the tree. After abandoning the idea of just painting it on a board, I thought maybe someone could cut the shape of the tree trunk from a piece of wood. Thats when I found Custom Cut. After some back and forth and good questions, they determined they could make what I needed. The finished product was beautiful! Truly beautiful!! Quality work through and through.
