Got mike a new custom made guitar

We recently moved to SD county. I was very interested in seeing the Kiesel showroom as two years ago I started getting back into guitar after a 40 year+ hiatus. During that time I had founded a factory-direct company in a different industry. I knew that factory-direct distribution could very well offer the end consumer a great opportunity and value. I also figured there was no way that I was ready to take the plunge and order a custom guitar.Within minutes of being in the showroom, I had picked a beautiful SH 550 off the wall and Flock set me up in a room with an amp, told me to have at it, enjoy, and let him know if I had questions. As I started to play, I realized this guitar played better than anything I’d experienced. My wife saw the big smile on my face and I told her how perfectly it played. As we walked back out into the showroom I said something to the effect, “I’m going to get real serious about learning now so I can justify coming back here and ordering a custom guitar in a year of so.” As Flock smiled, my wife said “Hey, you aren’t getting any younger, why don’t you order one today so you can enjoy it sooner.”The next hour or so was a lot of fun as we worked out the details of the build. Flock and the other fellow (can’t remember his name, but he was very helpful), helped me work out all the details. At one point, Flock went back into the shop to see if they might have a particular wood upgrade available that would be thick enough to be carved down into the arched SH550 top. I put a deposit down on my credit card and figured it would be tough to wait the possible 8-10 week lead time. I was more than a bit excited when Flock called only about a month later and said it was ready to pick up! I am so glad I went with the custom Zebrawood top as it turned out absolutely gorgeous, and unique. I’ve now been playing this guitar 2-4 hours daily for three weeks and am just extremely happy with how it plays and how it sounds. The factory-direct model really does give people the opportunity to have a remarkable guitar custom made to their heart’s desired specs at a very reasonable cost. Very highly recommended!

What can I say about Kiesel that hasnt already been said. These guys are not only amazing with customer service, but they may be building the best guitars on the planet. Ive now owned my new Osiris for about 2 months, and it has become the best guitar in my collection bar none, and for a very affordable price. I cant wait until I order my next build!

This is a boutique style guitar shop so expect a wait period for any custom orders. The cool thing is, it doesnt cost any more to customize your guitar the way you want it. I have 3 of their guitars and a 4th on the way and I will be continuing to only buy their guitars for many reasons. First they are family owned and operated in the USA. Second they treat their customers like family and provide the absolute best customer service Ive ever experienced not just in a guitar company but in any company. Third the quality of their instruments are unbeatable by any other custom shop hands down. Fourth they are super affordable to most musicians and build times are by far the fastest of any custom shop. Fifth Jeff and his dad know exactly what their customers want and live stream weekly so they can ask questions, something no other company does. I could keep going because they are ana amazing company so I highly recommend anyone and everyone check them out!

The reason I gave Kiesel a 5 star rating is due to the outstanding service I received!!!First off, I contacted Kiesel, late on a Friday night via email in regard to a bass that I wanted to purchase. I was contacted immediately on Monday morning by sales associate Mike Jones about my inquiry. I was impressed with Mike to say the least,and he answered the questions I had. Second reason is, the Vader bass I purchased, from their inventory, was shipped rapidly, and it was delivered within a weeks time. I have yet to see it, as some unfortunate events took me from my home, but I will edit this review when I get home and work that Vader over!!!!! Awesome, awesome, awesome service, without a doubt!Third reason/07/12/20: Ok, I have played this Vader for many hours now, and it is now a part of me! I have never had such flexibility with the sound of an instrument than I have been able to achieve with this bass. Crisp highs and lows when I go with the Humbucker alone, or mix it up with the split coil, (not standard on the Vader, but a feature I am able to enjoy from an in stock bass), and humbucker for a pleasant mix of deep low tones and bright highs, or dump the humbucker for the rich deep, old school sound of a classic PB. The resonance of this instrument is almost ethereal, and the Dunlop Brights are perfect, making this instruments sound unbelievable!! The feel of it while playing is extremely comfortable, and it is sized quite well for my stature of 5’9”, being headless also makes the “nose dive”, a thing of the past. The neck is thin and fits right into my hand. What else need I say, “It’s a Kiesel, and, it is Truly Custom!!!!” Thank you Kiesel.

I visited the showroom for the first time today. Words fail. Each guitar is a sublime work of art. They were filming a tribute video, I didn’t catch the name of the gentleman being honored and didn’t want to be in way so after having briefly engaged a very kind dude named Greg, mostly about Tom Petty, Mark, the owner (I had met his wife on Maui about 25 years ago and was a friend and cribbage foe of her brother, James) and the showroom manager, Flock, gave me his card and I briefly explained the old connection and he was super friendly and said he’d love to hear the story, to come back bye or email him. You rarely get the kinda feeling I felt about a staff so genuine and friendly in these grim times but I definitely felt it here in just a matter of half an hour or so. The showroom is incredible. Every adjective you could possibly apply that sings praise of something incredibly special would apply to the guitars in that room. It almost felt like a religious experience. Every instrument is an exquisite work of art. I’ve never seen anything like it. I could, and will, go back, allow myself ample enough time to take each guitar in. I pointed out a beautiful gray 6 string with this light vein of a “pine” kinda colored wood running horizontally through the upper part of the body to the Flock as he gave me his card and as it turns out, he made it. Man, I’m telling you, if you love the guitar, then that showroom is like a sorta Mecca, no disrespect intended, but I was moved seeing this stunning collection of craftsmanship and beauty. From that beautiful light gray guitar with it’s simple, classic look, to these EPIC finishes like explosions of color in more expressions than I could’ve ever imagined, the only way to do these axes justice is to see them in person even though the website has fabulous digital photographs of each one of a kind guitar. Just wow, man. I literally dug and wanted to own every single one. Incredible.

When in the San Diego area, I always stop in to play the basses on display. This time I was researching which model 5 string bass I like. I liked them all! I wish they had a better selection of Kiesel shirts and hats. I really wanted a Kiesel leather bass guitar strap but still not is stock!

Wow.. i finally found my dream guitar. Professional grade custom guitars that are affordable. I heard great things about these guitars and was amazed to find out they are Carvins just a different name. Something with the company splitting in two. I always loved those Carvin catalogs when I was a kid. I played a handful of different models and loved them all, some of the best made guitars Ive played. The staff was super friendly and helpful and let me plug in and turn up... If your looking for a new axe visit this show room you wont regret it. They are super awesome and affordable for the quality your getting. Lowest action with zero buzz.. quality wood and electronics. Just super custom USA quality..

First time visit to the new Kiesel store.GOOD - Receptionist at the front and the FIRST sales guy I met were very friendly and helpful. The sales guy set me up with some basses to play, answered a few questions, gave me a few extra tidbits of information, and then let me play. Very cool.BAD - I wanted to play one specific bass I had seen on-line. After awhile I went to ask about it. Different sales guy there now. He asks if Im going to buy it. I said just looking for now. He refused to get the bass. He told me I had a sufficient sampling of instruments. In his defense he was busy talking to a couple of his buddies. I left.MORAL - Generally, if a customer is telling a sales guy that they saw a specific instrument on-line and theyd like to see it, theyre probably more than causally into the instrument. You should get the them the instrument. Ive been to the old Carvin store on World Trade Dr. many times and never got treated like this. Hopefully this is a one time anomaly.

Probably my favorite guitar company. USA custom guitars for a very FAIR price. I love my CT424 in Diamond Pearl White with a flamed maple fretboard. Will be getting a Vader soon!

Even though this is a place exclusively for ordering custom made one of a kind guitars, and you really should be a pretty legit Rockstar just to walk through the door, that doesnt mean you wont find a bunch of totally talented, helpful, sweet people on staff. Not to mention you can get your peepers on some pretty amazing instruments while you are there.

I’ve been using Kissel / Carvin custom guitars since the 2002 & love their products and custom build process. Very underrated fe you play one you’ll be addicted.

Excellent place to buy your own made to order electric guitar, acoustic, and bass. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great ambience and alot of ready made samples you can buy right away hanging on the wall. Browse different options, paint, and woods from their wall display of actual playing instruments. You can grab one and sample it in their dedicated sound rooms with alot of different amps to chose from. They also make and sell Multiscale / Fanned fret guitars and Basses. Must go if your a Guitar and bass enthusiast!

This summer we stopped at the Kiesel Guitars showroom with the wish to commission our custom guitars. Jason and Vincent advised us for hours and even fetched wood or guitars from production from the workshop to show us and make better decisions. Better advice could not have been imagined! You took the time it took! MEGA! .. after 8 weeks our two pieces of jewelery were delivered to Germany (4 weeks earlier than expected!) The quality of the guitars is impressive. It couldnt be better.
