Checked out Chuck’s Comics today while hunting for Transformers and wasn’t dissapointed. Store is jampacked with comics, toys, games and collectibles goodness. All fandoms are well-represented here. Good prices and friendly staff. Will go again.

Best place in Maryland for comics, merch, gaming and toys.I’ve been a customer of this store for 20 years. Owner is a great guy. Employees are very pleasant and helpful. So much product in this store. Only go if you have the time to browse through all the stuff.What’s funny is, this is a “comic” store, but has a gaming product selection that beats many of the game stores I’ve been to.

First time coming here & the last. I travel around to visit comic shops and this was one of the worst what a disappointment, the lady didn’t even welcome us in the store upon entering and then another lady walks in and all you hear is them 2 cussing the whole time, just loud and disrespectful, horrible customer service won’t be back

Fantastic staff, good selection, and if they dont have something, they can often order it in for you. These guys have been great for over 3 decades, and I expect theyll get even better as time goes on.

If you want comic books, cool action figures, awesome toys, and lead figurines, this is the place to go when you are in Baltimore. I drove by this place so many times and I am so glad I stopped by. Next visit I plan on bringing my missing issues lists because this place is great. I was so excited to see such a great collection of old issues, new content, and novels. Great selection also of both Marvel and DC. They even have Vindicators 2 !!! Dont be like me - check this place out !

Great place that has somthing for everyone

Truly awesome place. Young man that was working today was especially helpful and super kind to my kids. They have action figures vintage comics and pretty much anything you could want as a fanboy. Places like this are a treasure to not take for granted

Employees polite and helpful. Store has a ton of items... Modern to golden age comics, funko pops, statues and much more. Can easily spend over an hour in there just browsing. Will visit again when I have more free time and money lol.

They have new and used figures and toys, tons of comics and other cool stuff. Sometimes the service is slow but they try to meet customer needs. They are pretty quick to respond to FB messages too!

Great old school feel comic book store with plenty of back issues to flip through and a huuuuge lot of dollar books to buy up. Also they have tons of toys and retro games figures and other goodies plus current stuff as well.

One of the best comic stores in the country. Great prices and staff knows their stuff. Ask for a specific comic or issue and without having to look it up they know exactly what publisher and how many issues they have in the store. They care about their customers. (And my review is based on having walked into more than 100 comic shops in my lifetime so I rarely make a five star review unless it deserves it.)

This is a really great local comic book store. They have a ton of comics and a wide assortment of games, collectibles and Pop Vinyl. They always seem to have a an awesome sale going on and are more than willing to help you find what you need. They have been around a long time and you can see why. I will definitely go back again.

Always a good selection of comics. Lots of back issues . Deadpool Darkness and witchblade my three favorites . Picked up an Ateam 123 from like the 1980s . Deadpool comic box and serval back issues of number 1 2 3 and variant covers . They have old toys,I picked up a Gi Joe Cobras firefly .. They have much more I would suggest checking them out.

This was my very first time walking into Chucks Comics. When I walked in a crew member named Josh greeted me as soon as came in. I really appreciate that. I was just looking around and I was amazed how much stuff was in this store. I took the moment in. This place is amazing. I will be coming back. Oh yes I will. 😀

Ive been here about 3 times now and every time Ive been it has been great. I am an avid miniature war gamer and the fact that I can come into a store to play and have a conversation at an audible level is not lost on me. The owner of the store is a really nice guy who is willing to make some time arrangements for customers, which is great. Lastly the selection of merchandise is absolutely staggering. If you are looking for a comic, they probably have it.. A star wars action figure from the 80s you had as a kid? They probably have it. Seriously just go in and look around the walls your bound to see something you remember from your childhood.The only complaint i have about this place is the parking situation. To be fair though its not something I think that have a ton of control over in the first place.Overall this is a great place to meet up with friends, make a purchase youve been holding back on, or just look around. I really like this place and plan on doing a ton of business here and so should you.

Stopped in while I was visiting the area. Manager (Josh) seemed annoyed that Id asked him if they carried a certain comic. When I asked if they had a section for local creators, he seemed insulted and informed me that they didnt. He then recommended a book done by a guy who is friends with the owner by giving me the wrong title. I decided to buy the issue, priced at $4.99, and when I tried to pay with a credit card, he told me that he wouldnt run a card for less than $10. When I asked if he could recommend another comic, he said it would depend on what I liked. I made it easy for him and said anything not horror or big two. He couldnt recommend anything. I got the distinct impression that he didnt know a lot about comics nor did he care to. Im afraid that I wont be stopping back in there or recommending this store to those who have asked such as local hotels.

Love the amount of back issues, figures and statues. During a sale (like 30% off all back issues) it is definitely worth the trip. I found a bunch of years old variant covers that Ive been trying to find for years.

Chucks is a great local shop. Whether you are looking for Comics, figures, tabletop games or accessories, looking for card games and accessories, a good game of Imperial assault, or place to host your game, Chucks is the place to go!The staff is very friendly, personable, and quite knowledgeable. You can definitely find some rare gems here!Dont forget about Chucks membership! You can save quite a bit with it, but you dont have to have it to shop here! For the uninitiated, parking is a little hard to find in the front, but theres plenty of safe parking in the back. The entrance is located just before the shop

This place has the best selection of board games and action figures in the Baltimore area. Im not super familiar with minis, but they seem to have one of the better selections for an area comic book store. Their back issue section is a good size and they have some nice selection, and their graphic novel section is encyclopedic. Marked down one star because its pretty tight in some places so I doubt its completely handicap accessible.

My family and I just stopped into Captain Chucks Comics while out Christmas shopping. We were helped by Dave, an employee, who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We were shocked at the size and diversity of the products they sold. There was just so much to see comics, comic compilations, collectable figures, numerous table top games, game figurines and so much more.Im excited to go back to rekindle my interest and begin playing Dungeons and Dragons again.

I’ve been buying comics and statues from chucks for over 25 years. Awesome store with even awesomer employees.

Love this place, would highly recommend. To the person whom said they open and close when they please... thats incorrect they open on time every day!!!! 11am, and close after 8pm. If it was a Monday the store is closed on mondays. I love all the goodies they offer. The staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. ALSO they do take returns and exchanges but only with a receipt. Picture will be posted. People are quite silly and overly demanding. Anyway I love the comic store and the staff. Great place to visit.

Its been a while since I have been here but I really like how they updated the place. He has a great selection of action figures and comic books. This is bobble head heaven. I have never seen so much stuff under one roof. The staff are always cordial and nice, and I have never left disappointed. I am really happy with their selection of key issues. A week ago they even had Amazing Fantasy 15! Not a bad find in Baltimore, not at all. I would recommend Chucks for all types of collectors, new and old.

Chuck has a super huge selection of new, used and super retro toys and comic books! His pricing is the best I ever have seen around. Chuck and his wife are also very nice people. They will go out of their way to help you out and also help out when someone is in need.

I havent really interacted with the staff during the one time I visited, but the place is very nice and has a huge selection of comics and graphic novels. I enjoy how they also sell Funko Pops- I love to collect them and its easier to go somewhere and get them instead of from somewhere online. I hope to go back soon.

Grab your way back machine, unitards with matching cape and prepare for a treat. Definitely not a front for a glorified subscription scheme. Which they have however there is much more here. Come for the experience. Comics, gaming supplies, toys and collectables - current and retro.The day I was there staff assisted a customer with a gift idea. She had no idea what anything there was, all she knew was what the child liked.The staff helped her and they never tried to up sell her. They also greeted me sincerely when I walked in. That is a lost skill.Store felt like it had a hefty dose of what makes Baltimore unique.Quirky with lots of things to see. Definitely a place with nice people. Overall nice store to channel your inner dork.

Fantastic little local comic shop. FYI free parking out back and it sounds like the cops dont patrol the meters out front but better to just go where it makes sense. They have some game tables in the back of the store and some minis and paints but this is solidly a comic shop. Im more into the gaming side of things, but I would still go and recommend supporting the local store. I believe they do Friday night magic but I didnt catch the schedule when I went in. The staff was very friendly and asked us a couple of times if we needed help finding anything. Would go again if Im in the area looking to spend some time and some money!

Exactly what youd expect out of a local games and comics shop, terrible customer service. The redeeming quality is the sheer amount of backlog issues this place has. I mostly am a tabletop gamer though, and Ill be getting my stuff from other local stores that have better proven customer service and friendly atmosphere.

Exceptionally helpful staff. Didnt actually plan on buying anything but not only did a staff member strike up a conversation, actually led me to an item I didnt even know existed and I ended up making a big purchase!

It’s a nice store and very wide selection of items comics, graphic novels, and action figures, but every time I enter the store they never speak to me or help me find anything, all I get is a “hello” and that’s about it, watched someone pay with a card in front of me, no ID was asked for I get up to buy my collectibles and he ask me for ID than directed me to the atm next door, had to stand in the rain to withdraw money out, came there a day before and did not need ID to buy anything.

A great place to look for old comics and anime figures

Local favorite place of collectors, gamers, and especially comic seekers. They have a huge variety of comics, Funko products, action figures, and a huge variety of games and paints. They host many events to help someone find a new game, or tournaments to help you get familiar with different play styles.

Amazing store! It was a walk back in time to my childhood. They every type of comic book and tabletop gane you could think of from popular ones like D&D to ones I never heard of. The staff were super knowledable too and knew details and rules of every game I asked.

Great place to find all sorts of great collectibles especially hard to find items. Ive been buying from Chuck off and on since I was a kid and the store was on Mace ave. The only complaint I have is they dont run a lot of big sales but the selection they offer is incredible
