I have dreamed of going to Voodoo Donuts since I was a small child. When I first saw it featured on the food Network I never thought in a million years Id get the opportunity to go here. Lo and behold nearly 30 years into my life I had the chance to fly out and try out the voodoo donuts that I had dreamt so much about. I got the vegan voodoo doll donut as well as the Oreo peanut butter and Ive got to say the latter made me question if I was alive or if I was in heaven. If you have not eaten donuts from Voodoo Donuts and youre from the area... You better get on that right now.
Exceptional raised, glazed donuts (the standard by which all donut shops should be judged.) Not too sweet, and a great texture. Apple fritter was equally good.
Really unique, artsy and delicious doughnuts. They have vegan options! Only downside is that some of their donuts are extremely sweet. Make sure you read the entire description of the doughnut(s) you choose.I ordered the The Homer, Sprinkle Cake, Bacon Maple Bar, Grape Ape and Guava Colada doughnuts. My favorite right off the bat were The Homer and the Bacon Maple Bar. First of all, the dough was super fluffy and soft overall. Every bite was enjoyable. The Homer had a slight taste of strawberry, which was from the pink frosting. It was simple, yet delicious. The Bacon Maple Bar was sweet but definitely balanced by the bacon slices on top. I loved that the bacon was very crispy and broke off easily on every bite. The Sprinkle Cake doughnut was really good; however, I felt the frosting was harder and dry compared to the rest of the doughnuts. The Guava Colada doughnut was okay. The combination of all the flavors went well; however, the doughnut was very sweet for my liking. It is filled with a guava jelly, the frosting is very thick and has sweetened coconut flakes on top. The Grape Ape doughnut was my least favorite one simply because I didn’t like the flavor profile. Now I know that grape doughnuts are not my thing.Overall I recommend this doughnut place 💖 I will be back to try more doughnuts.
Voodoo donuts is iconic, and a reliable source of sugary goodness pretty much anytime youd need some donuts in adorable and over the top flavors. The voodoo doll is a classic, and today we got extra pretzel sticks to stab our voodoo guy with if the mood struck. And the classic flavors, maple and glazed and cake donuts, are reliably awesome too!
Delicious donuts even late at night. And they were moist and fresh: a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and a chocolate covered old-fashioned.And thats just a couple of the basic donuts they have. More adventurous folks will enjoy their more elaborate selections, with much frosting and other toppings and/or fillings.
Easy on and out plus can order online for pickup. Good variety but you probably dont need to splurge for some of the super specific donuts, just get the variety pack of you have interest and arent sure.
As we ate our lunch down the block from here we kept seeing people carrying pink boxes. We quickly figured out why...Great selection of delicious doughnuts! Great vibe they have there in this area of town. Happy energetic employees, a great display case and a poster before you walk in with every selection they have on the menu. They have some retro video games here that I would have spent several dollars reminiscing over but they were shut down I believe for COVID.I ordered the maple cream (even though I wanted to order and taste every doughnut on the menu lol). It was delicious! If I was not stuffed from our lunch, I would not have hesitated to order more!!!If in the area again will definitely be back!
While they didnt have the donut I had readily available! There was still more to choose from. The gentlemen working register even apolgoize and give me an extra donut. I hope that you know you did wonderful and Ill be coming back to give you a proper tip :)
I love it so much here. Please give me more donut
Customer service can be a little edgy but overall very good experience and the donuts are so unique and yummy! Try the coconut donut filled with guava jelly. Mmmmm
Awesome little place to grab a donut. They’ve begun taking card, so they’ve upped the convince factor! It’s just a smaller version of their more famous Portland store, and the donuts are just as good. If you don’t have a huge sweet tooth, try their vegan donuts-they taste just as good as the regular ones, cut are a little less sweet. They’re on the top shelf of the rotating display! A great short stop while you’re wandering through downtown Eugene.
Really good donuts and they have vegan options
Vegan donuts. Great! Theyre really good, more variety would be even better. Cool, fun atmosphere. The staff usually seems a bit over worked, as its usually pretty popular and busy. Maybe give the staff longer breaks and more money :)
So many different donuts, youre sure to find one that you love. Plus theyre really big donuts, we got the random dozen and werent disappointed with the selection they chose.
VERY eclectic donut shop, Ive been here before, but its been several years. The donuts were amazing as always. We especially like the Memphis Mafia and the Grape Ape.
I came here from out of state to buy donuts to take to a friend. I spent $40 on a dozen and was told I had to pay extra if I wanted a second box. I paid the extra and instead of using the second box, they gave it to me empty and proceeded to cram all 12 donuts into 1 box. They all ended up getting smashed, and frosting ended up running all over the adjacent donuts. Super disappointing.
Love these creative and tasty donuts.
Good donuts and fun names of said donuts, viewer discretion advised. No parking and there are signs up banning voodoo parking so its an issue. Yea another tourist stop for us :)
Awesome doughnut place with an Epic selection of unique doughnuts. So far the maple bacon was truly my favorite. Cool to grab some doughnuts with the family and head outside to the dining area at the corner. Unfortunately you gotta deal with a lot of homeless in the area.
Great doughnuts and lots of vegan options! The staff is amazing :)
Worse service at ANY voodoo I have been to in Oregon! Saddest part is, they werent even busy. They just allow people do do what they want and have ZERO care of their customers in the dining room. Deserve less than a star. Trying to get a dozen donuts and they allow people in front on you. They have terrible customer service here. Stumbling over doors, stumbling over their words, and not knowing where people are in the order area.
Service was awesome, donuts amazing as usual for the normal flavors. Biggest issue is we gave the clerk the call on the mixed donuts, most ended up in the garbage. Didnt care for the flavors of the frosting they were more aimed at what children like not older people.
Over rated donuts but cool pink boxes I guess is what people come for 🤷🏻
A Must stop for breakfast! Enjoy one of the outdoor benches along with a big cup of coffee
Everyone that walks in feels welcome instantly. Julian was the employee that helped me out for my first visit. He has great customer service and you can just sense that he is a fun, nice person. Thank you Julian! The donuts and service were amazing!
We love Voodoo Doughnut. Their crazy flavors and wonderful designs make me happy to every time I walk into the place. I feel like I cant walk downtown without going in there and grabbing myself two of three Grape Apes. Definitely recommend. Worth the hype!
Ill be honest, they have tasty donuts, welcoming staff, and a vodoo theme. Overall, I was treated well. I personally can do without the witchcraft symbolism, but understand that this is there theme.
Cool place and great atmosphere. It was obvious that Id stopped in at a bad time, though. It was about 10am, they were already out of all four of the donuts I wanted to try that had me excited about the place, and it was clear that the staff were already wore out from morning rush. Maybe 6am is a better time for them. I ended up with a lemon sunshine. It was okay, but it wasnt what I went there for.
Always deliciousAny type of fritter is the best imo, but you cant go wrong with any choice really
Extravagantly decorated and flavored donuts. Everything is fresh as can be. Gear is fun and staff is friendly and fast.Apple fritters are made throughout the day. Call ahead and time your pick-up and treat yourself to a hot donut.
Voodoo Donuts is awesome. Great donuts and very friendly staff. If you havent been there youre missing out.
Great selection even though we came well into the afternoon! People very respectful of distance and wearing masks. Of course, VooDoos donuts are well just spectacular!
We were very disappointed walking in to see all the donuts pre-made sitting out. Thought they would have been made on the spot, served warm. Honestly a Dunkin’ Donuts donut with just extra toppings. Have had way better fresh and warm donuts before.
Ive always enjoyed coming here over the years. The company slogan states; Good things come in pink boxes. Im assuming thats a reference to the cool pink boxes crazy and wacky flavors here variety of donut art but also for the exceptional customer care and the speedy service. I give this establishment 5 ⭐ every day of week and twice on Sunday.
I love this place!!!!! The service is awesome and the pastries are sooooo good! Yes, go! Go now!
Im not sure what this location does different than others, but the doughnuts were PHENOMENAL! Probably the best doughnuts Ive had and Ive been to the popular Los Angeles vegan spots, which were fairly disappointing. The doughnuts were perfectly pillowy while having a great chew and amazing flavor. My only criticism would be that the filled doughnuts could have used a bit more filling, but thats just being not picky.
Absolutely the best doughnuts Ive ever had! They do not hold back on filling or toppings and the dough itself is fantastic.
Its hard to ever say that donuts are better than others, but I do think these donuts are extra tasty. Even the basic raised, glazed donuts were extra yummy. We got classic dozen. The only one we didnt care for was the cake blueberry...but still, its a donut, so we ate it ;-)
Everything is amazing and delicious and so creative. I love the Marshall Mathers and the Blunt donut.
A vintage place. Did you know that the old Voodoo Donuts piano is now in a front display window of the oriental rug shop next to Kesey Square?
Always there for you, Raine or Shine, love the early morning Pick Me Up, Cup of Jo ☕ and Boston Creme Filled Chocolate 🍩 Donut, always fresh and good/ PPE/CDC Conducive as needed. 😎🎸🌈🌊🌹🏄💝
Don’t know what all the hype is about. Donuts were overpriced & not all that great, and the girl behind the counter seemed impatient and aggravated to have to deal with customers who have never been there before asking what they should try.
This is a fun place to go if youre in downtown Eugene and youre craving a donut. Its right on the Kesey Square and theres always something interesting to see. You can sit out front or take your donuts and walk around downtown. It never fails that you will see something out of the ordinary. Well it might be ordinary in downtown Eugene. :-)
One of the best Apple fritter Ive eaten in a long time 😋
Personally I think the fact you can see their whole kitchen and its not even somewhere Id feed my dogs at let alone myself. The bathroom, the lobby, the kitchen area... it was all super disgusting. Im genuinely not sure how they even pass state inspection. I was very disappointed and expected a much different experience when I went here. Will be telling all my friends and family, and I will certainly never return.
Great place if you need to feed a specific tooth. Lol only negative is they changed the day old boxes and bucket prices. Not to big of a deal but it was nice to get a bucket every now and again for 6 bucks...I mean either way they will in the end be thrown out. Still a great place and great people.
I worked here for years. They make good doughnuts with unique flavors.
Their Doughnuts are the Bomb. The young lady attending to us was very warm, friendly and professional. Her advice was Spot on. If I ever go to Oregon again, I will definitely be. Thank you....
Great food, great service and great beerPliny the elder is a must have. I have been here 5 years ago and forgot how delicious and all around awesome it was.
First time going and oh my goodness, those donuts are amazing! A little spendy but totally worth it.
Eclectic and fun names and selections. Not gourmet donuts.
We love voodoo donuts, usually visit the Portland location but decided to visit this one on our trip through Eugene and it was okay. The service was good but the quality not as much. The location is not the best, especially not with kids, there was a naked lady walking around then a few minutes later a naked guy on a bike. Then people fighting on a corner, not sure if this is normal or just our luck. We will just stick to the Portland location.
Outlandish doughnuts options. Fun atmosphere and selection. Definitely worth a visit for the novelty. The prices are high for what you get. It is definitely a conversation starter.
Donuts were great, itd be nice though if they werent all placed in the bag upside down. In the heat, a lot of the toppings had come off by the time I got to them
Mango Tango!!! So many good donuts, and I love the Eugene location. Its a bit less crazy than the Portland stores.
This places donuts are so good! They all have unique names and flavors. Maybe not kid friendly to go inside, but theyll still enjoy the donuts.
Listen, I love donuts as much as the next guy but lets face it, if youve had one donut youve had them all. Wrong! It takes skill and crafts to make the perfect donut. Trust me, Ive had mr. Ts donuts in Modesto California so I know what Im talking about. Voodoo donuts is one of those places that you need to go to. Its like in and out burger. Dont let the line scare you, there is a damn good reason that the line is so long. You might as well go in and have a donut you Dingus. Prepare tohave serious anxiety over which donut to select. There are so many options that are tantalizing and tempting to the taste buds. So, dont settle on one, try them all. You wont regret it. You can take a bite out of each one and then save them for the morning where you can eat more or bring a friend and share amongst each other. Thank you for the voodoo that you do
