This review is a bit late but did want to express how pleased we were with the service we received. The cable of our garage door snapped and we were not able to raise the garage door to bring the car in. I called a few others and they wanted every piece of information and would call me in a few days. I called American Overhead Door, he came out the next morning, was on time, told us what the problem was, had the necessary parts on his truck and in less than an hour we were on our way.We couldnt be more pleased. BTW, this was also during the time of the Holliday Farm Fire when his demand was high. Thank you!!

Don was amazing! He arrived on time and finished the job in an hour! My garage door was a mess, my car was trapped inside the garage, spring broke in half, cables off the track. He was able to fix and tune up the door, it has never worked so smoothly! He even added a new key pad and his prices are fair! He knows his stuff and I would recommend him without hesitation! I am very impressed! He was prompt, and efficient. I had two garage doors that were faulty. I had been quite worried that I was in for a huge bill (if they even could be fixed at all). Not only was he able to fix them both in a half an hour but my jaw hit the floor when he gave us the price. So reasonable. If I ever need garage door repair again this the only company I will call.

The spring broke on the garage door, the car was trapped! I should have called American Overhead door the first time!! We called a different company first (the number on the door, Overhead Door) after hours on Wednesday. They called us back Thursday morning to say they ‘might’ be able to help on Tuesday of next week - what?! I have since scratched out their number and replaced it with American Overhead Door - they came the next morning, had all the right parts for the door, oiled everything, didn’t oversell me, quick efficient and reasonable!!! So happy.

I called to make an appointment, and Don agreed to the appointment time. When the time came for the service (8 am on a monday), he did not show up and when I contacted him, he said he was on another job and would not be coming to the appointment. I am sure they do great work, and his response time was great, but its frustrating to now have to find another contractor to do the work when I already took time off work to be home for this appointment.

American Overhead Door is my life saver!!! Monday morning our garage door was suddenly stuck and both of our cars trapped in garage. Called the only company we knew at the time, Overhead Door, and were told they could only come in Thursday, which meant we couldnt use our cars for another THREE days!!! I googled and found American Overhead Door. The owner Don was so helpful and squeezed me in for the noon time on the same day, just three hours after my call. When he came, the service was quick and effective with a very fair rate. Thank you so much Don! We will use your service again!

My garage door opener broke and I called three different companies for quotes. Don quoted us the lowest at $285 for a 1/2 power chain drive with 2 remotes and keypad (compared to sears and overhead door company which were both over $350). I called him to schedule an appointment and he was able to come out the next day. He arrived early and after looking at our garage door opener he told me he could fix it instead of replacing it for half the price. He worked on it for about an hour, lubed up our garage door hinges, and the door was working good as new. Don got the job done, without trying to sell me on something more than I needed and I really appreciate that. Thank you Don!P.s. He also quoted us hundreds of dollars less than his competitors on insulated garage doors. When we decide to replace our door, we will be calling American Overhead Door.
