I wish I had gotten a picture of my bagel so I could post it but I immediately started eating when I got my food. This was my first time in and I sent my husband in with a vague idea of what I wanted. He relayed that message to the person at the counter and the result was an amazing bagel with cream cheese, lox and guac. It was perfect. The guacamole was fresh, the cream cheese was plentiful and the lox was great. And the bagel was of course amazing.
The atmosphere in there was amazing! menu was extensive and the spicy chai I got was delicious.
Best place for breakfast in Eureka. Loved their bagels. The place is very popular amongst locals and visitors.Due to COVID19, there is no seating inside. There are couple of tables outside for outdoor seating. You will require a mask to enter the store. The store also has social distancing in place inside the store. Now the bagels are absolutely fantastic and you should buy in dozens to enjoy on a picnic.
I went to have a bagel sandwich for lunch and was looking forward to the salmon cream cheese and capers. The fixings tasted good but I was very disappointed in the sesame bagel. Hard and tasteless to me. I actually bought two more to take home and cutting into one confirmed just how hard they were. I might give them another try at sometime, but not soon. The 3 stars is based on the positive from the fixings not the bagels.
1st time here on an off chance as were going around downtown to look for coffee. What a find and what a wonderful experience both with the food and the staff. They have taken the appropriate COVID-19 protective measures which is much appreciated. Apart from that the staff were jovial, friendly, accommodating, and most importantly prompt in their food delivery. The cappuccinos were definitely something unexpectedly good. The foam and the coffee were just right unlike many places which over do the milk. The bagels and the toppings for them were fresh, juicy, and delicious.I totally appreciated the ambiance and hopefully once all this craziness subsides we can actually enjoy the the really we decorated inside. The walls and the tables were festooned with artifacts and photos of friends of the place with a particular emphasis on Mexican and Jewish imagery which I found fascinating and lovely.Totally recommend.
Yummy lunch spot, loved the cucumber bagel. My kiddo had the lox and loved them. No where really to sit, there are outside tables, but when we went people who were done eating were still talking and sitting at them. More seating would make this place better. Good food though!
Fresh and tasty bagels. This place is super popular, probably because bit is so good.
When visiting Old Town Eureka be sure to drop into Los Bagels for a quick bite to eat. You wont be disappointed.
Visiting from LA and I hail from Minnesota, I know bagels. Ive had bagels everywhere. EVERYWHERE. We stopped into Los Bagels in Eureka on a whim for breakfast. Yo~THE BEST. My guy has Crohns and I have serious digestive and preservative complications. We both walked away satisfied, full with no issues whatsoever. All the ingredients tasted (and were) fresh, the bagel was toasty, flavorful with just the right about of chew. Go there. Go there today. Well it may be too late but go there tomorrow!!!Dena
I was craving a good bagel this morning and found Los Bagel and I am so glad I did, thank you Yelp. Conveniently located downtown Eureka in Old Town on 2nd street, this is the spot for good bagels and amazing cream cheese.I ordered the cucumbin on a garlic bagel and it sounded different but I wasnt disappointed at all. The larrupin and topped with the slug sauce created some amazing flavors. The coffee was pretty good as well. The bagel shop is really cool. The decorations create a cool vibe. Lots of seating outside. The employees are happy and motivated and the service is outstanding. They were busy but the employees kept things moving and no one waited very long.I will certainly be back tomorrow for another cucumbin bagel and coffee. Thank you for the fantastic experience.
Just passing through and found this place by chance. Best bagels I ever had. Had to go back in to grab more for later!
Cute local bagel shop. We love the selection and the spreads and toppings. Friendly service.
They have good bagels and bagel sandwiches here. Also good cookies. Sadly they were out of salt bagels which are my favorites.
Onion bagel with smoked salmon and guacamole. Great bagels but the coffee was good. Nice little seats outside but its eureka so its grim and cold.
Food is ok, nothing special for being the only bagel spot in humboldt county, but its fine, decent. I do just want to point out that the place functions like it is run by teenagers and they are fully blown adults in there. They will have a line of 10+ people waiting to order, take an order, LEAVE THE REGISTER to go do stuff in the back while the line workers catch up on the orders, then come back out and take a few more orders, and do it all again. This is absurd to me. Its literally a bagel shop. This cant be that hard.. Slowest bagel shop ive been to without competition. And for any employees that may see this, put some chairs out. You have people standing in your lobby for 30+ minutes for BAGELS, the least you could do is set up some chairs, especially for old people. You guys are like the only place thats so incapable of wiping down surfaces that you dont even let people sit inside. Catch up to the times and work a little faster!
The bagels are excellent and the coffee was good, but I was caught off guard that they charge $5 extra to toast the bagel which was not disclosed on the menu. More than $10 for coffee and a bagel with hummus is San Francisco pricing.
Solid as always. Its always a special treat to get bagels here.
My 1st time here, and it was delicious! My husband and oldest son have been here when they come to town for a Marble festival, and have been waiting me to come. I did it and see what they are talking about. I had a jalapeno cheddar bagels with garlic and herb spread. It was one of the best bagels I have had. Will definitely be stopping again. My husband likes it so much we had to buy some socks!
Always a delightful experience; Ive tried many different flavors from them and Ive been happy with each one. I kind of wish they were open later but being able to buy bulk bagels for the house is a great substitute.
I ate at the Los Bagels in Arcata last year and it was great, but todays experience at the one in Eureka was not very good. The bagels were under baked, and the sandwiches we ordered all had too much cream cheese, too much guacamole, just poorly balanced ingredient mix all around. Also, too expensive. Over $75 for four bagel sandwiches, a dozen bagels, two drinks, and some cream cheese...
We hadnt been to Los in years, because weve moved out of the area. We were recently in Humboldt visiting family and I had to make sure to bring my family to Los while we were in town. My little one had a berry scone, my husband a wild caught lox and cream cheese bagel. My oldest boy and I each had different scram-bagels...all were absolutely fresh and amazing!
I love going here on my road trips, they have a good selection of baked goods, but their bagels and slugs are the best! Dont forget their cream cheese either it is tangy and delicious.
Small, unremarkable, bland, overpriced bagels.. definitely would recommend looking elsewhere. Big city prices, small town taste (my apologies to small town joints with excellent chow, but you know the tendency)
Top shelf bagel quality. Great spot
WOW WOW WOW. Amazing Atmosphere here, from the moment I walked in the vibe was good. I’m on a road trip all through the coast of California and needed a good pick me up bagel and coffee, after days of hiking the redwoods. When I arrived a was immediately greeted by three amazing peers. Ty so much for being amazing individuals and putting smiles on our faces not knowing what we are going through. It’s becAuse of people like y’all that America needs to unite. There are still good people around. Ty for the wonderful suggestion for the peanut butter choc chip cookie, also the Guacamole was one of the best I’ve had. Thanks again.
Food was made with love! Their staff was amazing and frienly even though the line was long
Driving through from Phoenix, AZ on our way to Portland, OR. We loved the food. It is unique and inventive. Unfortunately the espresso machine was down so we had OJ with our bagel sandwiches. I loved Loved LOVED all the artwork. Especially a piece with Frida Callo and MLK. I ever visit again this will be my breakfast stop. Service was great as well.
I eat breakfast here every time Im in Humboldt. Love their Larapin sauce!
Best bagels I had all day!
So so bagels. Why do so many places serve breakfast sandwiches on a bagel with no cheese? Of course I could ask but what if I grabbed it to go and find out after leaving? Its so dry and bland you gotta use cream cheese or something. Does the owner try these items before putting them on the menu? I cant imagine you choked down a dry sandwich and was like, Yup, thats a winner. Pretty pricey too. 2 bagels and an energy drink were $25. My favorite part was the cashier shouting everything at us even though we could hear her just fine. It was weird because it was pretty quiet in there.
Staff was awesome. Lox is super fresh and their guac was amazing. Very reasonable pricing
Really good bagels and coffee, amazing atmosphere. Thank you for doing a great job with safety procedures! I came back for more bagels and coffee on the second day of our trip because we liked you so much!
A Humboldt tradition, slug slime for life. I encourage people passing through to give them a try but FYI the bagels are not your typical bagel, they are very dense.
I ordered the Seafood Combo and a cup of coffee. Both were good (although slightly expensive), but Id recommend adding something like avocado or cucumber to balance out the saltiness of 3 types of smoked and brined fish. The window bench I sat at could have used some cleaning, I spotted an ant or two scavenging crumbs on the floor as well as the table top. Only one of the employees seemed happy to be there, but I can mostly chock that up to it being a busy weekend. The aforementioned window seat is a great place for people watching. Overall my experience was alright, but Id have to come back and try a different meal and a different day before I really recommended this place to anyone.
Fantastic vegan cream cheese, although its not well-labeled.
Fun atmosphere. Stopped while passing through on a roadtrip. I got a veggie topped garlic bagel and it was yummy. I also got coffee which he was pretty good.
Worst bagel ever. Asked for toasted, lite butter. Received cold, massive unmelted butter. Waited forever for it. Not even great texture.
I was out of town visiting the area and came across this place while looking for a Cafe that had breakfast and coffee. I ordered a chorizo scram bagel and a coffee. It was a little over priced for the quality of the food and the register employee was a bit on the rude side but it still was a decent breakfast.
Guac and lox was awesome. Chirizo scram was bland. Place is real cool though!
Really good bagels with very fresh cream cheese.
Fast service great food
Tasty bagels, sandwiches, fresh bread, hot and cold drinks, everything is great here!!
After 30 some odd years of eating their bagels here and there I have made it back to the coast and they are my lunch staple, and I cant complain. Cream cheese, cucumber, sprouts, Larrupin and something different to top it off every now and then is just good time yumminess.
Good coffee and great food. Nice spot to grab a quick breakfast
Im rating 5 stars because the food was really good, lots of options, nice outdoor seating, and a clean space. The only thing that I didnt quite understand was the staffing. There were 6 people behind the counter, with half of them not doing anything? There was a line, but no one seemed to be addressing us in line unless you were local.Ordered the Cucumbin on a jalapeño bagel, got some assorted empanadas for a snack later, and an iced coffee. They were all very good, and I appreciated the local favorites on the menu as a first timer.
I had locks and cream cheese on and everything bagel and it was perfect I highly suggest the slug slime!
I genuinely love Los Bagels! Ive been getting bagels here for the last three years since I moved here and I think they are the best bagels in Humboldt!
Serving staff was really friendly and kind, worked very fast. The bagels were surprisingly small and we ordered chorizo but it was basically just ground pork. Everything else tasted good but it was disappointing for the price.
Love this place, especially the slugs! Straight bagels? Why the heck not?! I stop here anytime Im passing through the area.
Its the best bagel I have ever eaten. Its got that California price tag but this was so worth it.
Great people and bagels.
Delicious bagels and cookies! Coffee and service were great too!
Pricey but tasty.
Food was good, a little pricey for cream cheese and bagels.
I dream of Los Bagels. If theres a long line, I promise its worth the wait!
Very expensive for what it is and their cream cheese is a little sour, not expired, its just how it is. But the bagel recipe is solid. They nailed it. It was worth trying but I wont return any time soon.
Awesome service with delicious bagels.
Always great food and wonderful atmosphere.
Both times I visited this place, I waited nearly 10 minutes w/o any acknowlegement that I was even there. So I left.
Freaking amazing bagels and coffee. Gets pretty busy but the small wait is 127% worth every moment. Also they do enforce the requirements of wearing a mask, and if you do not have one (for whatever reason), there is a number posted on the front of their store.
Delicious! Love this place.
Just way too expensive.
Very fresh assortment of all kinds of bagels. Yum!
Bagels were barely toasted, coffee was good but as I was leaving I was verbally assaulted my a homeless person right outside who scream, swore, and threw papers at me for not engaging with her!
Fast service. Very clean and bright. Felt safe ordering food from there.
Great little puffy bagels. Theyre small, but airy and fluffy. When lightly toasted, theyre even better.
Amazing service!
Such a great bakery for everything, but most especially for Gluten Free pastries and bagels! Great memory from our time in Eureka!
Line almost out the door, so went somewhere else.
Pretty decent.
Yummy! So fresh and tasty. My bagel was delicious and the bear claw is the best Ive ever tasted!
I lucked out. I made a random stop in this town during a road trip and found this beautiful place. It was the most hip bagel shop Ive ever been to. I dont usually say hip, (unless Im talking about body parts) but this place made me do it. Thats how hip it is. There was a line when I got there, which didnt surprise me. They had so much cool stuff there that I didnt mind waiting in line for a tiny bit. There was paintings, photos, and some hip looking mugs and shirts you could buy. I dont know whats coming over me, I cant stop saying hip. This place really changed me. I was so entertained waiting in line that I almost forgot what I was waiting in line for. I was quickly reminded when I saw the large menu on the back wall. I felt obligated to get more than just one bagel...I mean the place isnt called El Bagel. The Veggie Delight and Huevos Rancheros bagel were incredible. I was thinking about getting the special of the day, The Ring of Fire, but after thinking it over I decided it wouldn’t have been the wisest choice. The Ring of Fire may have been great on the way in, but I didn’t want to experience how it feels on the way out. Before I left I ended up getting some coffee mugs for the road to remember this very hip place.
