Its surprising how much they fit in such a small space. Good selection from paint to plumbing, plus a lush garden center.

Always have what you need, horrible coupons you get them monthly but can never use them cause of the conditions, staff are very kind & helpful youll get asked 2 or 3 times if you need help., Sales are good But dont apply to coupons.

I believe theyre very short staff right now Usually they have great service and lots of people to wait on you but not the day I was in there

Grest customer service at the Henderson Center store! Had just come from another Ace Hardware where I waited and waited to be helped to buy a Weber grill. After over twenty minutes of standing and no help I left the store.When I got to the Henderson Center Ace Hardware they were very busy. The young woman at the register near the grills was busy ringing up customers. But almost immediately she turned and asked if I needed help. When I said yes she called someone over for me.Sooner than expected someone came over to help, answered my questions and I purchased my Weber grill.When I came back to pick it up with my truck they were all over it to help.Awesome service!

I don’t mind paying a little higher price for local but the women behind the cash registers that always have long lines need some customer service training. Piersons is a better choice in Eureka because there is nothing else but prepare to pay a lot either way.

I walked in this store with a Pogo stick that had a broken handle. Everyone was so helpful, but Sam in service really was awesome. He listened to what I wanted to do, and added to my ideas. I was so happy to get it all done in one stop. So excited to gift my grandson this Pogo stick. Thank you Sam!

The best part about Ace is that you can get your fun little goodies here but, the part that makes getting your fun little goodies there fun is the staff is always helpful whether theyre having a bad day or not they dont put that burden on you and will help to the best of their ability find you what youre looking for. When I ran into an awkward plumbing issue the gentleman there thought outside the box come up with a solution that pass inspection thank you guys 👍

Shafers is an outstanding hardware store. Full of superfriendly staff, always happy to assist in whatever endeavors one may have undertaken for building and or improving. They have excellent deals in tools, indoor and outdoor home and garden supplies, barbecues and outdoor cooking supplies, plumbing... you name it, and you will probably find it at Shafers Ace Hardware store. Good hardware store with an emphasis on garden supplies. I wish they offered sharpening service, like other Ace hardware stores Ive visited.

We went to exchange a light headband. The staff tried to get 8t to work. No luck. They searched the computer and the shelves for a replacement .no luck. They couldnt do a refund as we didnt have a receipt and paid cash. Reminder. If it is on your credit or debit card they can always find it. Seems intrusive.

Expensive prices and very poor customer service. I went there looking for a tape measure. I said hello to one of the employees and they just looked up at me and then back down to what they where doing I would never give this place my business again. Home depo has better tools for a better price and way way way better customer service.

Searched in three hardware stores for Coleman mantles and finally found them. Cheerful service in addition to many good products.

Across 30 years, 4 states and 5 towns, I have NEVER come across ANY Ace Hardware more poorly run or with employees as utterly rude as at both Shafers stores. Youd think you were asking for world peace if all you need is to locate the caulk. And whatever you do, dont expect them to actually open the entire store at the open time. The E Street store cant even manage to put up a sign that you need to enter on D Street. And heaven forbid you want anything in gardening or paint when they actually open. Thats too much to ask. It might be farther away but save your sanity and go to Piersons.

I’m not sure they have a return policy. Or if it’s just for some people. I tried to return a stud finder that couldn’t find the studs. They wouldn’t process the return.

Went there for a few things, couldnt get a single employee to help me at all. Asked the checker for help, she paged someone 3 times to help, but no one came. Waited for 20 minutes to get wire cut, no one was around or even asked if I needed help. I am not coming back even though the location is convenient for me. Ill shop at Piersons or Amazon from now on for things i need for my house and two rentals.

Had a very unfortunate experience at this store. This is the first review Ive ever left, but I felt compelled to because my experience was quite negative.First of all I was brought into the store with a coupon mailed to me since I was new to the neighborhood. I went in there and although they did honor the coupon they kind of gave me a hassle the first time, but I did buy something and left. The item I bought broke within one month, it was a hand garden tool.I took it back expecting some sort of understanding or good service, but the first question out of their mouth was wheres your receipt? Well I dont save receipts for everything that I purchase, so I told him I didnt have one.He told me well we cant do anything for you.To me the fact that they didnt even look at the part to see if it was one they carried or any other way tried to take care of me indicates that there is bad and negative energy in that store!I will never return to that store.

I enjoy a local hardware store. Lots of cool stuff to look at. Lots of potential projects find their inspiration here, much like a good grocery store can inspire a new menu for dinner.

Almost always have what Im looking for. Most of the employees are knowledgeable about hardware, tools, yard, garden and home repair. I find their gardening section, some hardware and tools to be spent. The one thing I am impressed with is their battery selection and cleaning products. Usually have what Im looking for and decent prices.

I like how their sales reps dont jump on me when I walk through the door, like at other locations. I feel competent to search for what I need or find someone to help. Paint guy was ready to help when I walked over worked out perfectly. They got everything.

This is a fairly good-sized store with a good selection of wares. Prices are on the high side, but staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to find what I was looking for. There are parking lots on both sides of the building.

Always super great and helpful, and never suggest that you go home and get the part instead of listening for a modicum amount of time.

The heads hanging around the store are weird ngl. I had the BEST experience here. This store seems to employ all the older men in the area and they are SUPER cute theyre all my grandpas now. I love the community atmosphere.

I like this location. The staff is friendlier than the other location on Harris but not overly aggressive. They have a great selection in this little store and sell paint, outdoor nursery plants, and home decor.

The customer service here is horrible. I swear theres not 1 happy person that works in this place. I never feel comfortable to ask for help, I always get an attitude as if theyre too busy sitting down twiddling their thumbs with nothing that theyre doing. I get it, we live in Humboldt, where everyone is a pot head, I have no problem with that, but these people couldnt smile or be helpful in a professional way if they were paid more an hour, and Im telling my friends to go to pearsons instead. Im no longer going here, Ive been taking my business to Pearsons

My main hardware store. They have knowledgeable friendly staff who take the time to help you with your needs. Lots of parking. Have excellent tool selection for a variety of projects be it painting woodworking welding outdoors hunting fishing camping.

Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Open at night, unlike most hardware stores. They enlarged their paint section and I really like that. If they make a mistake, they go above and beyond to make up for it. I like the free popcorn! Im glad to have a hardware store right in the middle of town. Convenient. Prices are a little higher than Piersons, but you still save on gas shopping in the middle of town.

Man I just came from Shafers Ace Hardware. I visited the nursery, taking in a sick plant I hoped to save. I was greeted by Ahmed, I hope I spelled his name correctly. He looked at my plant, got information on how to help it (from Holly another wonderful staff member) and transplanted it into a newly purchased (1/2 off pot) that he helped me locate. What service! So I just want to say to the management. Because of this excellent service I will make Shafers Ace Hardware my go to place. It is clear to me that you train your staff to go that extra mile for their customers. That is what is making your business a success and what helps it to grow!!

This place is always clean and well organized. The staff have been there for a while, you can tell they enjoy working there. It shows.

If you’re looking for something specific in hardware or plumbing, make sure they have it online before going in. Their knowledge of what’s possible with the inventory on hand is very limited. In contrast, the garden department is large and fairly well-stocked.
