Our pool was put in over thirty years ago. We have enjoyed lots of family and friends at our pool. Recently we needed our steps replaced. I begin to seek out the best in the business to take care of our need. It was realized that in replacing the steps we would most likely need a new liner as well. I contacted Pete Alewine Pool and Spa and made an appointment to meet with Abe. Abe came and was very communicative and helpful about the process to my husband and I. My experiences with Pete Alewine Pools and Spas have always been positive from the first time they came out to my home for “Pool School.” As a new homeowner who never previously had a pool, this was very informative. When I started looking for a Hot Tub, I returned to them. Joey was able to answer all of my questions, removing any doubts I might have on what would be the best option for me. He did this without ever making me feel pressured to purchase. Joey helped me get squared away and was there through the entire install. His Customer Service and personal touches went above and beyond. I am very pleased with the hot tub and I highly recommend Pete Alewine Pools for both their expertise and their first-rate customer service.

They built our pool and spa! They did such a great job. We knew exactly what was happening and they always answered any of our questions. If you are thinking of having a pool installed you cant go wrong at Pete Alewine Pool & Spa. They were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

I would not buy a pool from this company. Biggest mistake Ive ever made. I thought as long as Pete has been installing pools hed know how to do it, but thats not the case with mine. Service dept. is not good either. They tell you therere coming and not show up, and dont even bothet calling you to rescedule. If YOU dont call back, you will never hear from them. I will certainly steer everyone away from this company, that ask me about a pool. One star is actually alot better than how I actually feel.

Pete Alewine recently put in a pool for me. From initial consultation to final transaction, I was extremely impressed with the professionalism. Pete had great ideas for the layout, and Stephanie was very helpful with design. Shawn did a great job tracing my husband and me pool maintenance. They have answered the many questions I had with patience. Superior outfit to work with.

I was very disappointed in trying to buy a spa tub.We researched on their online website and picked out the one we wanted. Went to store on Washington and first thing we noticed none of the employees had mask on. This is November 2020.We ask about the spa that we were interested in and the sales person said, let me check. She eventually came back with a brochure and said this spa was $15000 and change. I was very surprised as online this spa said $8000 and up. There were add ons you could get. I told her online it started at $8k and her response was, “Oh, I don’t know what the website says.”We left and don’t see going back, ever.BTW we intended to buy on that day, without financing.

Didn’t want my business.Argumentative and arrogant company. Look at the reply to this review. “Quality with an attitude” would be a fair description, but for the money that the products cost there’s no call for the attitude, arrogance, or condescension. No one wearing masks in the store during COVID. Empty hand sanitizer stations. I could go on.My wife and I were ready to build and have colleagues with quality pools from Pete. The experience in the showroom was dismissive and I did not feel welcome. Perhaps business is so good they didn’t want our money (we have been saving and expecting to pay cash for a $100,000 project with hot tub spillover into pool with infinity wall). I was told the earliest someone could meet with us at our home for a consultation was March 2021, meaning no construction until April or later. I repeated back and verified with the sales agent multiple times. I realize demand is higher from COVID and quality takes time but if no one cares to meet with me for six months you lost my business. Hefner is meeting with us next week, by the way and I felt more respected as a customer. They’re too busy to care about new customers. No way you would get proper attention or assistance if they can’t handle a consultation. If this is the way they treat you when they are trying to earn your trust and money, imagine how you’ll be treated once they have it.I know fellow physicians with decent pools from Pete but they get 0 stars for customer service and the attitude that they deserve your business and gratitude when you’re the one paying.If they have everything booked for the next six months, good for them, there’s no need to be disrespectful to customers in the store. Perhaps their website could manage expectations better so we didn’t waste each other’s time. They have the attitude that since they are so busy they can treat you however they want. Thanks for saving me from a poor investment decision.

I made the mistake of buying a spa at the Civic Center during a sale. Little did I know the manufacturer had no designated maintenance company in the CSRA. I reached out to Pete Alewine and they immediately sent out a repair representative. Nick was able to troubleshoot the exact nature of the problem in less than 30 minutes. There was a coordination error on my end but once Service Manager Ben understood the problem he sent Nick back quickly with the right parts. After less than an hour Nick got my hot tub working again, (and got me out of the virtual dog house with the family). Maintenance is my #1 priority on the next spa I buy and Pete Alewine proved they have the very best service in the CSRA. Thank You Pete Alewine!

Excellent customer service. I have been a patron of Alewine Pool and Spa for over 10 years. The routine service in stellar. We have done extensive renovations to our backyard and in particularly the pool area over the last five years. And although Alewine pools didnt install the pool, they have been extremely helpful with the needed information and interventions required. I want to particular thank Ben Dedrick and his staff for all their assistance.

If you are in the market for a Big Green Egg, unfortunately this is not the place to go anymore. I purchased both of my Eggs from Pete Alewine at the Evans location and was frequently at the store for Egg equipment as well as pool items. They always had a large area of the store dedicated to Egg products with friendly knowledgeable employees throughout the store. I move from the Evans area a couple of years ago but a relative of mine has moved to the area and was in the market for Big Green Egg. Without reservation I recommended Pete Alewine’s as the best location in town. I could not have been more shocked when we walked through the door. Almost the entire showroom was filled with Spas and off in a little corner were a couple of Eggs and a small wall display of accessories. Employees I had dealt with for years were walking about like they were in a stupor and we had to go hunting for assistance. To cut this short, delivery is late and basic accessories are on order. It is pretty obvious the once great Pete Alewine’s is in serious decline relying on their previous reputation to survive.

Went by to check on a Dolphin Robotic Pool Cleaner. The gentleman I spoke with was very informative. He answered all my questions. I will be going back. My issue is we close our pool 1st week of September the cleaner has a 24 month warranty and it will be sitting until May that means 9 months of sitting around. I will go back to Pete Alewine pool and spa around April to purchase. Thank you for your assistance today.

I just had my pool liner replaced by Mr. Don and his guys. They did an amazing job! They were friendly, fast, courteous and very knowledgeable. My pool was down for a year and they even cleaned my steps and swim out. Everyone thought they were new, they had done such a good job. Every time I contacted Mr. Don, he either answered or was quick to respond. Thats a huge plus in my book! Amazing job guys! So glad that yall had done the work, I couldnt of asked for a better group! Highly recommended!!

Im really impressed by Pete Alewine Pools. Their work is impeccable! I have a strong construction background and they have some really skilled people working for them. Exact measurement of the house and yard are made before drawing the plans to ensure accuracy. Also, the construction crew is very precise and clean with their work. The employees I have dealt with were all very cordial and communicated well.

We just had our pool deck concrete repoured and a new liner on our old pool. Abe, Jack and their crew were Awesome!!! Diane kept us in the loop with phone calls to let us know what is going on. Al around, they run a first rate crew. They went above and beyond with everything! They added a irrigation track to help preserve the concrete and their clean up job was phenomenal. Couldnt tell they were there and they even power washed the driveway. Highly recommend them.

The best pool supplies store in the CSRA! Before they built their store on Washington Road, I used to shop for pool supplies at their competitors. After the first time using their water testing services, I was impressed and have used them exclusively since. Their competitors attempt to sell unnecessary products, but this store accepts that some people use other sources for supplies. Well done! I am glad that I discovered Pete Alewine years ago!

We had an awesome experience with this pool company. We had a major overhaul of our 30 year old pool and decking. Abe and his crew are a top rated professional team. Abe made suggestions and recommendations that we had not even thought of to make our pool area our “happy place”.He and his crew worked hard everyday until the job was complete. At the end of each day you could not even tell they had been working. They cleaned up work debris daily. Any concerns or issues we addressed and dealt with as they came up. It was nice to get a call daily from the ever pleasant Diane letting us know who was coming and what job was being done that day. We were more than pleased with the end results!

Due to the winter whether it took longer than expected to start our home pool/hot tub renovation. However, once Abe and his team started, they worked hard everyday until the job was complete. They were here every day between 7am and 7:20am and worked until at least 4:30pm. Any concerns we had were immediately addressed and the finished product makes our back yard look like a resort. We highly recommend Pete Alewine!

Poor communication, missed several deadlines, pool equipment not in the correct place as per original drawing, six months after initial installation they have yet to come and fix missing stone coping around the pool. They started off the project really strong, but towards the end we really had to push them to continue to come back out and keep finishing the job.We love our pool, but we are very much not satisfied with the level of service we received from what is supposed to be the best pool company in town.

Definitely worth the phone call and money. We needed a whole new system. Charles Davis is the most knowledgeable & professional person they employ. We are very pool ignorant. He answered all our questions with out is feeling dumb. He gave us lots of price options for the work we needed done. Very timely with appointments and communication. A definite 5 star company.

This company installed a vinyl pool (18x36), concrete deck and retaining wall (over 80 long) in our backyard. Ive held off about a year to write this review. We are completely satisfied with the project and quality. There were a few bumps in the road but they addressed all of our concerns. Pete himself even came out to inspect an issue with the retaining wall and ensured the issue was fixed. Our saltwater pool maintenance has been a breeze compared with our last pool which was chlorine. The staff is very helpful and whenever I bring in a water sample they recommend the most affordable solutions and only if needed. I have coworkers that have done pool installs with other companies and after hearing their experiences I am really glad I chose Pete.

We went to the showroom, very poor knowledge of products. Didnt talk about the big sale they were advertising. I have called twice and gotten inconsistent information on the sale. The ads clearly say, $3000 off hot tubes, $5000 off semi spas... so far best offer off has been $900. Is this legal, feels like bait and switch. Hope to get better and consistant information soon. I want to find this $3000 off hot tub

We moved to the area last year and became first time homeowners and pool owners all at once. We have dealt with Pete Alewine Pool several times since then to get the pool we bought back into top condition. We had to replace the pump, the liner, you name it. After all that, I can tell you that Pete Alewine Pool will stand by their work and their reputation in a way that most companies today will not. Some people say that they are a bit pricey, but they do the best work and go out of their way to take care of their customers if there is ever a problem, so it has always ended up being more than worth it. We have worked with several people in both their sales and service departments (most recently Justin), and they have all been extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional.

The service is great, I especially enjoyed the spa guy Ryan. He fixed my tub in no time. The customer service is always friendly and Im glad I called them.

Ben in the service department at Pete Alewine pools has been very helpful in helping to get the chemical balance corrected in our new pool. He responded immediately to all my calls and got someone out right away to clean the filter and vacuum the pool. My husband and I have been very worried that we could not get the ph down to normal levels and he reassured us that he would bring the ph back in line, even if it takes multiple trips. Thanks Ben

Their pool chemical checking service is really handy and saves me from going through hassle to check my pool. However, I feel like their pool chemical is a tad bit pricey (poolife brand). At least this place is kind enough to give you free coffee, popcorn, and a cookie. You can keep your child occupied with those snack while you wait for the staffs to complete the pool chemical check.

After referring Pete Alewine Pool and Spa to my parents, the provided fantastic service while fixing their pool light. They now provide service across the Midlands of South Carolina so give them a call.

I hired Pete Alewine Pools to service and clean my pool on a weekly basis. This is the first home Ive owned with a pool. I didnt really have any expectations other than for them to come and clean and service my pool once a week. This was not the case. The service manager named Charles told me that apparently “pete alewine pool company” and myself should not do business together because i questioned his billing and scheduling and went over his head to get more accurate information.Twice in the 5 weeks that they have been servicing my pool; they didnt show up, as well as quoting me too much in additional services and labor when I am already paying a weekly service charge with them.Ive called and voiced my concerns in depth to management and all though they seemed genuine- nothing changed. I have since hired a different company local to North Augusta. And i am happy with the service i am receiving.Pete Alewine Pool Company’s priorities are obviously NOT the residential service/cleaning customers...

They helped me with testing of water etc. (side note after reading all the comments, you get what you pay for, you want half a$$ service go to Walmart or lowes for your pool supplies. Workers damaged a newly installed fence on day one of digging. We have contacted them several times over the past six months and Alewine has not responded nor repaired the damage.

Unfortunately, I must say that this company overcharged us for removal of pool cover. We had requested pool opening but was unable to have this completed due to damage to liner caused by storm. Had an estimate completed for replacement of liner and damage to cement. Called to have work started and discussed the amount that was paid for opening, which was not completed and Manager said that removal of cover was the opening. Apparently chemicals, pool cleaning and water are not included in there pool opening services. $250 is a little extreme for just removing the cover that took less than 1 hour. Needless to say, they will not be getting the job to repair pool and replace liner.

Cant give any lower. Here is the scenario: Called to say my pool water level is going down and can you have a look. Answer: do you have a leak. I said: I am not sure. Response: $300+ if there is a leak. So we will charge you that amount regardless if you have a leak or not. I say, you are experts, so I cant tell you if there is a leak. Response: lets send some one. I got the technician home. No leak, changed the filter part. Still charged extra $300+, apparently it was called in as a leak. So the total bill $800+. Actual work labor that tax $300.I think this company is an outright fraud.
