I am a regular at Insomnia Cookies Evanston; the staff always welcomes me with smiles and kindness, even if they’ve had a challenging day. Today they even gave me a free sample for the new vegan pumpkin spice cookie. They were crispy on the outside and soft in the center. They pair really well with apple cider as well as oat milk. Bottom line: all their cookies are tasty, and their customer service is great.

Nice warm cookies and friendly service. But store was run down and dimly lit. Also they ran out of two different types of cookies at 7pm on a weekday. Not an exceptional experience. I was more impressed by Insomnia Cookies on Sheridan Road by Loyola University Chicago

Absolutely the worst vegan cookies I’ve had. ordered more than once just to make sure it wasn’t me. whether it was delivered or picked up cookies were so cold and so hard. like almost couldn’t bite them. warming them up helped nothing. just tasted like rocks

The girlfriend took me here after dinner one evening. It’s such a small place, but the cookies pack a giant punch. Delicious, and a wide variety to choose from!

You still have to wear a mask and only two people are allowed inside. Ridiculous they do not provide masks if you need them. Masks are not required anywhere else.

The young man that was working was a little late to bake some of the cookies however they all tasted great and he had amazing customer service. As someone who works in food service I know how busy rushes can get and how overwhelming it can be. Working alone I’m sure is more stressful. He handled it really well, we got all of our cookies and we’re very happy.

I drove all the way from Niles and they are closed. The hours says that they are open until 1AM. It’s 11PM. That’s a complete waste of my time and they don’t have any live person on the phone.

Just have to make sure to ask for a fresh batch! Love the variety of the cookie flavors!

Delicious warm cookies and fast service

The cookies are delicious but service sucks. 4 out of the last 6 times I went to buy cookies, they were on “break. After waiting 20 minutes for “break” to be over I left. Who is actually managing this place?? I’m giving up going there.

An extremely disappointing first experience with Insomnia Cookies.I placed an order in advance a little before 9 pm to be delivered contactless at 10:30 pm. I received a confirmation email confirming my order.A little before 10:30, I received a call from Insomnia Cookies saying that one of the cookie types I ordered was out and what type I would want in exchange. The woman on the other end was very polite and nice about it, much appreciated.However, afterwards, while my delivery was being dropped off by Postmate, I got a call from my postmate driver asking if I meant to order the same order three times. I did not, and said that I only ordered it once and asked for the other two orders to be canceled as I only paid for one set of cookies.It was already around 11:00 by now, when I got a notification from my Postmate tracker that my order was cancelled. I checked back into my Insomnia App, and while my order was still clearly shown in the order history section, I could not track most.Eventually after 11:15, I had to call Insomnia Cookies, where after giving my order number and being placed on hold, I was told the location I ordered from had already closed and was offered a refund.In no way was I notified that my order (of only 6 cookies) was cancelled nor given a reason to why my order was not delivered on time. I had given Insomnia over an hour and a half to prepare my order from when I placed it yet it was not even delivered. I’ve always heard a lot of great things about Insomnia Cookies, but this was an awful first experience.

I work for a large retail corporation and ordered cookies online on March 5 to be delivered to an event that we were hosting for soon-to-be graduates at Northwestern University. The cookies were scheduled to be delivered today, March 9, at 11:30am. I received a confirmation email upon ordering them and assumed everything was set. When 11:30am rolled around, no cookies were to be seen. 12:00pm… still no cookies. In fact, I never received our delivery order. As if this wasn’t frustrating enough, I didn’t receive any communication from Insomnia regarding this. When I called to see what happened (and get refunded for the cookies for which I had already paid but never received) I was put on hold and then hung up on. I called back and was informed by an employee that someone “missed their shift” which is why I didn’t receive the delivery. I asked if I was ever going to receive any sort of communication about this and the employee simply said, “I don’t know.”As mentioned in the beginning of this review, I work for a large retail corporation. So, believe me when I say, I get it-- things come up, mistakes happen, etc. and, at the end of the day, some hungry college students missed out on some free cookies-- not a huge deal. What has me leaving this one-star review (zero stars if that were an option) is the complete and utter lack of professionalism regarding this. The fact that it was on me to call Insomnia and investigate what happened is beyond unacceptable. It would be one thing if the employee on the other end of the phone took any sort of responsibility for this (or, GASP, apologized for the mistake) but she showed zero remorse and zero concern. Working for a retailer, I know that this is a situation that should have (at the very least) been escalated to a manager but, nope, instead I received a “unique coupon code” that entitles me to “6 free traditional size cookies with any $6 minimum purchase.” Based on the way things were handled today, I wouldn’t spend $1 at this establishment, let alone $6.

I walked into the location not knowing what to expect. The delivery driver was condescending and sarcastic when I asked what was good there. The cookie was good and the ice cream was ok.

***False or misleading advertisement*** The cash register says didnt receive a receipt? Let us know and get up to a $10 gift card (877-68-cookie I went to purchase a brownie and while I was waiting I saw this advertised on the cash register. There was no fine print nor any details on how it worked. I continued waiting for brownie and saw a camera facing me so i figured if I dont get a receipt then they can pull up the camera to verify that i was not given a receipt. The person working handed me the brownie but did not hand me my receipt so i proceeded to walk out so the camera could verify that she did not hand me my receipt and that I walked out the door. While exiting the store and the camera seeing, I went back to the cashier and asked what do i have to do to qualify for the advertisement shown on the cash register. She then stepped away and grabbed my receipt that she failed to give me and told me that i have my receipt now and that they dont offer that deal at the mesa location and if I have any questions about it to call the number shown. I called the number and was given the run around but essentially told that I had to leave the store and report it the next day. I told them that there was not fine print or any print stating that and if they are going to advertise something like that then they need to state the stipulations or specifics such as I need to leave the store for a particular amount of time beforr i can qualify for the advertisement they are displaying. This advertisement was false, misleading and had no detailes on how it works. Dont mislead customers or promote falsely. Hold to what your advertising. Other than that i would recommend this place is yummy!

Dealing with this business has been an absolute headache every time. The cookies are good but not worth the hassle. Consistently out of ingredients, no-show deliveries almost every.single.time., impossible customer service.

Save your money. Unable to get orders correct. Long wait for delivery. You cant call the store directly to talk to anyone, you have to call some corporate catchall number. Garbage outfit. Cookies arent even that good, just convent late at night, when they can manage to get your order right. AVOID

Product is great, but the guy behind the counter on 9/1/19 was horrible. He’s obviously not cut out for customer service. Our first time there and he made us feel rushed to order and no ‘hey thanks for giving us your business’. Why do people go out of their way to make others feel unwelcome, and especially in a place of business? Get someone else, someone who can speak to customers like customers and not speak down to them.

I got a cookie ice cream sandwich at 1am. The cookies were still warm. 🤤 So do yourself a favor and stay up to indulge in some Insomnia Cookies. Absolutely worth it.

If I could give it zero stars I would! This place has horrible customer service, I placed an order over the phone to pick up since they never have anything ready and when I got home and took a bite out of one of the pumpkin cookies I realized it was raw, then I felt this hard thing hitting my tooth, it was a nut shell! I called them and realized the local number connects you to a call center, the girl that answered my call was rude and told me that there was nothing she could do about it that I would have to go back to the store so I did, the guy at the register kept telling me that the pumpkin cookies were supposed to be soft, I agreed and told him that I had purchased those before and they were perfectly cooked but these ones were undercooked/raw, he didnt even apologize for the nut shell, he then told me he could try and make another batch but that he couldnt promise they were going to come out ok, seriously?! I just asked for my money back and again no apology whatsoever about my bad experience. I decided to call the 1-800 number to complain about the store and my experience, the girl that answered this time seemed understanding but then when she asked me about which store I was talking about and after I told her she asked me my name and immediately placed me on hold only to be disconnected. I dont think this company knows what good customer service is since I was treated horrible the very first time I called them, theyre overpriced and overrated.

The lady who delivered my cookies did not come with cash and my order was $11 and I had a 20. I simply asked if she can come back with my change and she rolled her eyes and me and said “yeah I guess”.
