Lovely family-owned business. I often drop in to get a sandwich from the deli during my lunch break and pick up a grocery item or two.They have a great selection of products and alcohol. Some unique, some familiar.Overall a great establishment and friendly staff.

I come here often for lunch and always enjoy the fine deli, but this review is for the soups.1) I normally get the chili.....I give it 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿2) I tried the chicken chili today and it was definitely tasty. It has a slight spicy kick to it and is without a doubt worth the $3 and change that you’ll spend . It also get 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

This small grocery store is in an odd spot. Next to the NOYES PURPLE LINE stop. However I find its perfect for quick pick ups when I am on the Purple Line. Its like a supreme 7-11. Very Glad its there.

The deli makes great sandwiches and I really like their Greek yogurt.

I can’t believe I didn’t find this place sooner. The deli at the back has the best sandwiches in town! For 8.99 you get a freshly made gourmet sandwich and the most tasty homemade chips - I can’t ask for a better lunch. I’ve tried a few sandwiches here including the clubhouse, frenze, pesto chicken, spicy Leo, muffaleta... but the one I always come back to is the muffaleta. I highly recommend going with a friend and splitting two sandwiches!

I have been having sandwiches at the Deli for 4+ years and they are the best. So many amazing sandwiches, but personal favorites are The Penthouse and the Sean Juan... Honestly both could go into the Sandwich Hall of Fame. Also during November they made a special, The Gobbler, which was also delicious. ALWAYS friendly staff. Call ahead if you can to avoid lunch line!

This grocery store has been a LIFE SAVER (literally) during quarantine. I know so many people who are struggling to get groceries right now, and D&D’s has made it so incredibly easy. We email our grocery list (which is always too long) and they call within 30 about minor substitutions, and then deliver right to your door. Unlike many disastrous curbside pickups we’ve had at Mariano’s, D&D’s pretty much always gets it right, and they never miss items. What’s more, they deliver within a couple hours. Just once, out of ordering 4 times now, have they had to push the order back by 1 day because they were backed up—which is honestly fine by me, I know Instacart has been pushing things back by weeks! They are always so nice and helpful. I haven’t even considered any other grocery service during this time!! On top of the regular food essentials, they also have a wide booze selection and pharmacy items (like toothpaste, painkillers, tampons). They even have toilet paper!! D&D’s I seriously don’t know what we would do without you.

What a great neighborhood grocery store. I used to live in the area of D and D and hadn’t been there in over a year. Ran into the store in hopes of finding a certain cookie i needed for a cake I was making and D and D had the cookie. I was in several other Evanston grocery stores looking for this cookie with no success. Thanks D and D for always having the most unique things all in a “little” neighborhood store!

Really love this place. Perfect when I need to grab some beer or wine on the go. The owners are friendly and the deli staff recommended the Sausalito sandwich and its now my favorite from the menu. Im a picky eater and they are always accommodating for my order.

This place is like a little food haven in the middle of Evanston where there really arent any grocery stores nearby. From the outside, you would never guess that this store holds all that it does. It has a nice-sized selection of pretty much any product youd need from fresh meat to light bulbs. Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly and willing to help their customers with whatever they might need. D & D Dogs in front of the grocery store has tasty food to go, too.

Why cook? D&Ds deli has delicious salads, meat, fish, pastas freshly made and ready to serve! More expensive? Whats your time and effort worth? I never throw out food (best intentions to cook . . ) now. I am eating nourishing, tasty dinners several times a week thats to their good selections.

I have forty years of memories coming here. Has always been a great store, friendliest people, and DD Dogs is one of the best lunch places in the neighborhood. Small businesses like this are truly special now, we should work to keep them.

I wouldnt call this place small. D & D Finer Foods has a huge selection of Craft Beer, (more than Ive seen elsewhere,) lean fresh meats and great prepared foods warm and ready to go. Not to mention the additional Greek/Italian specialty foods there, This place is awesome!

This little grocery store has what you need and its heckin convenient. Many packaged goods are overpriced, but produce is cheap or at least a fair price. Great liquor selection.

D&D Finer Foods should just be called D&D Foods. The grocery store selection is average, quality is mediocre, and the price is just way too high. I dont understand how that makes any sense. The only reason why the grocery store is still in business is because they take advantage of college students.However, their next door neighbor, is a gem. Quality dogs and meals for a decent price. Also, theyve been flying the W for a good while now. Respect.

Severely overpriced, but has a huge diversity of ethnic food. The prices are high because this is the most convenient store to walk to from Northwesterns campus. Also carries a small selection of toiletries.
