Go elsewhere if you want new, non marred merchandise. I placed a special order for a screen door online and had it delivered from the Menards Evergreen Park location. I thought it odd that the door was available for delivery in a little over a week. It arrived with the packaging torn open and the door was dirty from somebody handling it. The delivery man told me the door was bought by someone else and returned back to the store, they had not opened the packaging. Naturally, the person that made the return had to pay a 25% restocking charge . Yet, I was charged the full price as if it was a brand new door. I had to call the store two separate times to get an answer and see what can be done. At first I was told I had to return the door. When I explained that I had it delivered because I cannot put a door in my vehicle, it was then explained I had to go into the store to place the new order. That was all the store could do for me. Again, buyer beware. I highly suggest to do your shopping at a different, customer focused Menards.

The store has a large selection of landscaping stones for paving and building retaining walls. There are also illustrations of landscaping designs. Everything is well organized except the construction adhesive for the landscape stones is located in the paint department which is at the opposite end of the store from the stones. Would be more convenient if the adhesive was in the landscape dept.

Menards my favorite hardware store, if you can call it that they sell pretty much everything. I prefer it over Walmart.

Normally I enjoy every visit to Menards. But as a person who doesn’t have knowledge or a skill set of gathering building materials I was very disappointed with the customer care I received. I never knew trying to get materials for soffit and facia could be so frustrating. Different departments are not knowledgeable (or just don’t want) to share proper procedure for ordering, paying for, and gathering/loading materials. It was a good thing I accompanied my 75 year old mother because I would’ve been very angry if she had to load those materials by herself, because she was told the previous day, associates would pull and load materials for her. In the end, it comes down to miscommunication but when people don’t have the experience of “DIY” and attempting to patronize Menards it can be a very intimidating experience which would cause one not to return. Perhaps there needs to be cross training between departments so no one is working back and forth from the loading area to service department.

Terrible Service. Purchased countertops we received wrong countertops. Esteban Garcia refused to help and insisted i had to take a loss for countertops because the rep who ordered them placed the order wrong. I waited 5 hours to he told order was wrong and no one was available to help me. I will be filing a complaint with corporate

At this Menards the employees were kinda helpful. They actually asked me if I need help.

Face mask required. Plenty of products on the shelves. They have N95 masks, cleaning products,hand sanitizer etc. They had plenty of cashiers. Store wasnt crowded at 10am

Overall the store is fine, however lackluster management is in place. The few times Ive had issues, the store manager isnt available. No voice-mail or any contact. Also, the propane self serve kiosk has been broken for TWO YEARS! I have complained about this multiple times and after being assured it will be repaired.....nothing. see how well corporate America takes care of its consumers? Hey, as long as the lemmings keep pumping out the coin screw everyone else.....right? Smh

I was shopping for tiles at this Menards because they had the least expensive product..The salesman for that area was helpful when I asked him questions on 2 different occasions. The store is clean and they had quick checkouts! I frequent this store because its in a good location where lots of stores and restaurants are.

I went to one of my favorite sections in the storeDiscounted paint paint that people didnt like the color once it was mixed and you can purchase a quart of paint for $2.00. This is an example of one of my paints from Menards. Save big money at Menards!

Very courteous customer service

This assistant general manager is arrogant and pompous they say one thing and do another I spent over $50,000 at the store and they refused to exchange a shower door that I purchase special order that was too big. Even though I had my receipt. feel they showed a lack of consideration for me as a valued customer. I waited over 3 months to receive the door and they sent the wrong size.

I think they owe me a refund for merchandise ordered and paid for but not picked up, they make it difficult to order and pick up in the store, they charge you additional for that, and they make it impossible to do for people like me they want you to pay high fees to have it shipped unlike lowes or amazon.com. they cater to people with cars.

I really like shopping this store. Due to the pandemic, the customer service is not the same as it used to be. Some of the workers seem highly stressed, while others are very nonchalant. Nevertheless, this store consistently has what I need and lines are rarely long.

Good place for home decor, and tools and Nick nacks for your home and home projects. I like it because most of their prices are reasonable, but I still shop around for the best prices. Lowes is the most expensive, and home depot is about the same as menards.
