My son just bought a used Outback here - and had a really positive experience. Honest and candid throughout, Mark (owner) was a breath of fresh air. It’s never considered a pleasure to work wort used car people — but Mark’s team (and family) treated us well, negotiated fairly - and we’re straight with us the whole time. We got a great value in a crazy inflated market! Highly recommend.
Like all salesmen, they were very nice. We thought that they were trustworthy and informative on their vehicles. Shame on us. We forgot that they are “salesman”. They sold us on a car that we were impressed with. We’ve had our car about a month and a half and things are breaking down in a chain reaction. We have had to do almost $2,000 worth of work on it. Maybe by the time we fix everything we’ll have a new car at the price of a new car. Not satisfied at all. Do not recommend.
Mike and the owner Marc at North Star Auto Sales have great hospitality! The will help you get into the car you want and will not try to force another car on you. We came in to get car and it was looking unfortunate for a second, but we figured everything out and we got the car we came down there to get! Go down there and buy you an affordable/reliable vehicle for the lowest prices in town!
I didnt see a way to tell yall another way. But the number on the web page doesnt work. Keeps saying your # isnt working. If you have another # that would be great.
Way over priced. Selling reconstructed titles for full value, with dead batteries, and flat tires.
They treated me good and made it easy. They even got me a new battery for my troubles.
Recently bought my third truck from North Star, they took great care of me.
Got a amazing car, took less then 5 hours from walking in and test driving to being approved for the car. The staff here are great. They are honest and helpful. They worked with me every step of the way and in less the 24 hours I was driving off in my car. They asked me at least 4-5 times with in the first month ( which I have had my car just about 2 months now) how I liked the car, Id it was still working for me, etc. They handled everything and made this the best and easiest experience Ive had buying a car. They have so many choices and my car had 72,000 miles and thats way low for a 09. Love these guys and will buy again from them !!!
Have nice used cars. A good place to get working vehicals that my have a ding or scratch. Most other dealers only carry pristine vehicles, but for good transportation, they are a good source. They have a website to browse the inventory too. Very nice and helpful people.
It is not worth it for even 1 star. Please do not even consider this business for buy a car. I bought a car here and it did not even last a year, now it is completely out of service. And you want to talk about warranty? They do not cover anything, not worth it to buy extra warranty. I even canceled it, because they said they do not cover this and that. I do not know how they are still in business. I just want to find another me in the future. So please think again. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!!!
Great customer service. Would recommend.
Great Experience. We have purchased 2 vehicles from North Star Auto. My son and I are getting ready to go look at one for him here. They are very clear that the vehicle is as is and do recommend you go have it checked prior to purchase. They even suggested for me to purchase an extended warranty in case something unforeseen did occur. I have received good prices on the vehicles I have purchased here and not been disappointed. Best thing you should do is your homework prior to purchasing a vehicle.
Fast talking right from the start. Test drove two cars and check engine light turned on after a little bit of idling and these cars were WAY over priced and they were absolutely not coming down in price. Nothing was negotiable. What kind of used car lot is this? None of the vehicles were certified so why couldnt they be negotiable? That made those decisions very easy.... Next!
Guys definitely put on a good show. Looked at a subaru forester found a small issue in the engine the owner fixed it on the spot. He would only drop the price a few hundred bucks. Bought it & on the drive home the check engine light came on, took it to a mechanic had thermostat & fan replaced also a tune up done. Owned the car for 3 more weeks and the engine practically blew up. Car is now totaled out. Dont suggest buying a car from this lot..
Well I bought my wifes toyota here and its been running strong since last November with absolutely no issues. Staff is extremely awesome to work with especially Dustin, hes very tentative and gives his clients their space and doesnt make anyone feel pressured unlike big time dealerships. So far Ive recommended two other friends here and they both bought a vehicle as well and they couldnt be happier. And if all goes well Ill be trading my truck into them to be getting a better one. Small dealership with big dealership inventory, at the right price no matter what your looking for.
They really care for their clients.
I had a good experience here at North Star. They were very accommodating in providing different vehicle models too drive, and worked with me on price for the Equinox I just had to have. Prompt response from sales people and a welcoming atmosphere.
Great customer service, Mike helped me get into the truck I wanted and helped me get a great Interest rate and low monthly payment. Thank you.
I would not recommend any one to buy from North Star Auto sales. They took advantage of my inexperience with vehicles they told me the vehicle had a brand new clutch and no other issues. A few months later I take the car in because it is making a high pitch noise. I take it to a mechanic to find out they installed the clutch incorrectly and now need a very expensive fix. As I tell them this they tell me I bought the car as is and to pretty much screw off. Dont by a car from here look else where.
I would not buy any type of vehicle here. If i could rate it a zero, I would. They took advantage of my inexperience also. Bought a truck last year and I have had nothing but problems. Even the transmission had to be rebuilt. American tire and auto said the tires that were on the truck were not even the right tires. The truck is not even paid off and I am already replacing alot of parts. And we have taken great care of the vehicle. Also in the process of buying no one had told me to bring it in to a trusted mechanic.
Worst experience Ive ever had buying a vehicle. I was lied to about mechanic services, warranties and general information regarding the vehicle I purchased. I spent $3000 to get it back to what I originally thought I was purchasing plus the dealer spend $1500. He expected me to pay for the latter. They told me it cost $2000 for them to put a new paint job on when you could see blatantly it was rolled on. Their mechanic missed a lot of things functionally and also for safety in the inspection. It was a mistake ever going there. I would give them 0 stars. Go there for yourself and find out if you feel like being taken advantage of or buying a lemon.
Horrible place to buy a car Soldiers should stay away from this place. Bought one vehicle when I was a dumb private it was a 2005 gmc got it for 9995 and was over priced turns out transmission was bad, as well as it has a lower end knock and a rear main seal leak and axel seals leaking. Then I got my wife a car from here a 2006 Chevy equinox didn’t even have a week and the engine went bad I didn’t even have it a week and it wouldn’t turn on anymore even after replacing a starter and battery and the power steering motor went bad too. End of the day everything here is over priced look on the nada value and Kelly blue book. They don’t do repairs on vehicles and most of their vehicles are from auctions. If you want a used car go to affordable or a actual real dealership not a mom and pop place like this. You’ll just get screwed over.
Constantly rotating inventory. I stop in when Im in the area to see what they have. Not overly aggressive sales people
Great experience. Bought a great used car here.
Bought my amazing rav4 here and I absolutely love it, couldnt be happier. Definitely would recommend these guys, and ask for Dustin, hell take great care of you.
My daughter bought a car through them, and the next day everything started going wrong. The check engine lite came on, the car started heating up, the transmission started messing up. They said they do oil changes, and check for transmission fluid, and for any leaks. We had the oil changed, it was pretty bad looking. The transmission fluid, the same. We put in new thermostat, bought new radiator cap, and it is still heating up. Think it is probably the water pump going out. They probably reset the check engine lite to off, because it was the very next day it came on, and things started going wrong. I wouldnt recommend buying a car through them.
Marc and his company is Great nice people
These guys are awesome!
Just FYI on this. North Star Towing & Auto Repair went out of business about 8 years ago. It is now North Star Auto Sales, so no towing or repair work.
