Excellent service and a very knowledgeable sales associate, who made a recommendation that saved me a lot of money and will ensure my business remains with Batteries+Bulbs, instead of Amazon/big box retailers. The in-store sales associate deserves a raise, or some sort of recognition. Both times Ive been to the store my experience has been similar.
I have consistently had great service at this Batteries+Bulbs location! It was about 100 degrees today, but Jay came out in the blazing sun and changed my car battery cheerfully. Both he and the manager were professional in addressing a minor issue that came up with one of the tools. I would gladly recommend this store to anyone.
Great customer service. They did a complete analysis of my phone to make sure the swelling of my battery wasnt caused by something other than age. Got my phone with the new battery within the promised hour. Was happy to see they wore gloves while handling my phone. Masks and social distancing were practiced. In fact I had to make an appointment to get my phone fixed. Couldnt just walk in. Battery came with 180 day warranty, and I got a $10.00 coupon that I was able to apply to the cost. Would definitely recommend them.
Batties + Fairfax had the absolutely worst customer service I’ve ever seen. I went in to return a battery that went dead after only having it for 8 months. The service rep (Justin Cook) basically took my battery said they had to run test on it for a few hours (not minutes) and then he would call me and let me know what he found out. He then went own to tell me that their customer service was about protecting them from having to replace a battery instead of making sure the customer wasn’t inconvenienced.What’s a horrible experience. I’ll never be back to this store again. Oh, that is after I have to come back in a “few hours” for them to tell me that my battery is dead.
We find the Batteries + Bulbs store in Fairfax extremely helpful. Its a family owned franchise, they generally have everything we need or can order with quick turnaround, they can help troubleshoot, and make more efficient recommendations. When in a bind, they have even been able to deliver!Kudos to Tom and his brilliant staff!

I did an appointment online to have my cell phone battery replaced. I received a call within minutes scheduling a time when later than expected because the battery wasnt in stock. Once battery was received, I got a call, set up and appointment for an hour later, arrived, was told repair would be complete within 45 minutes. It was ready in 30. The person who took care of me and did the replacement was very thorough, courteous, and professional. Great job.
Your store had a very good selection of batteries. The battery I wanted was in stock and available so that I could have my FIOS service installed this week. I could not find another vendor who had the battery in stock or could get it to me before the scheduled installation at a reasonable cost. The personnel in the store greeted me fairly quickly and handled the transaction expeditiously and as stated in the information I received.

Stopped by in afternoon and they tested battery to make sure it was on its way out. Went home and purchased on-line to save 20% (current promotion) and drove back today. I suppose if I had a phone, I could have purchased on-line thru a phone connection, but I was running errands today so not inconvenient to stop back. Received an email within minutes of ordering acknowledging sale and battery was ready. Showed ID, credit card and order # and they installed the battery (free, no extra fee) With installation, they hooked up a temporary battery to keep all of my stored settings from disappearing - something I would not have thought of and did not have the equipment to do . Reasonable price, easy transaction and courteous service. Very pleased with the service.

I purchased a car battery online but forgot to enter the 10% promo code before checking out. I expected no sympathy, but when I went to the store to pick it up, the young man (Evan) cheerfully reprocessed my payment to include the discount. Not only that, he also went out into the *pouring* rain and promptly changed my battery without the slightest complaint. If I could give Evan a raise, I would! Maybe the company rep reading this can see to that :-)

Ben at your Fairfax, VA store went out of his way to help me. I arrived late after driving from Rockville store (which did not have equipment needed to recharge a damaged cell phone battery ) during evening rush hour traffic (1.5 hours ). Fortunately, Trevor in Rockville recommended this. Ben answered my knock on door after store had just closed at 8pm. He arranged to have the phone battery re-charged; this saved all data from damaged phone, allowing T-mobile to transfer all data to new phone. I picked up the battery on Friday June 14, and no fee was required for this service! Wow! I am so grateful to Ben and your policy to save cell phone batteries--a device we are all totally dependent on. Give this man a raise! I recently bought 3 lamps that apparently required very specific light bulbs. The associates here got me exactly what I needed for a good deal, and explained the specifics. Id rather buy from a specialty store for something like that.

I needed to find a specific type of a battery and they had them in abundance...only wanted two, only had to pay for two...loved it. Gentleman who helped me was courteous and friendly. Nice to find them tucked away but very accessible. Parked right up front (albeit on a weekday afternoon).
Went on line located the nearest store, ordered the battery needed, which is not common, the store notified me when it was available and picked I it up. Cant get easier than that.

Complaints of overpriced products dont consider the availability, knowledge and selection of items. Most batteries are provided with a warranty and their unique selection of bulbs should have you looking here if you prefer buy in store.
Terrible experience. I ordered a sump pump battery on line to be picked up at the Fairfax store on Lee Highway. I paid $110 dollars online and received an email confirmation that said my battery was ready to be picked up at the store. I drove 40 minuets in heavy traffic and upon arrival was told my battery had been sold . With the hurricane heading on shore I needed a battery NOW. The salesperson told me there wasn’t anything he could do . There was a battery on the shelf that was $118 dollars and I suggested he should replacement the one I had purchased with the slightly more expensive battery he had. I was told sorry he couldn’t do it . I ended up paying $125.07 and I didn’t even get the 10% off for purchasing online. So much for customer satisfaction. Wouldn’t you think if you buy a battery online to be picked up at the store a chain store as big as Batteries Plus Bulbs they would have a better system than that . 😤

But when you get friendly and informative help, it makes ALL the difference.I learned about govt mandates about incandescent and LED bulbs...as well as what “lumens” are. Also, if they are out of stock, they’ll order as I stand there. I was on a mission for a chrome tipped bulb.I really try to shop local. My mood changes about that when I amble in to any business and get ambivalent customer care. This place serves customers with alacrity.Parking is easy. The store is perched in a strip mall setting.Update: 8/29/2019: Customer care continues to shine; I texted an image of a battery I need to see if they have in stock. Although they dont have it, they will assemble a new one from their proprietary cells. Furthermore, Gunner, explained in detail what was failing in my tech. Awesome!

Placed online order and then realized for wrong store. Called wrong store and cancelled order and credit to credit card immediately. Correct online order almost immediately. Bought 2 RBC7 replacement batteries for APC UPS. Configured for UPS and UPS back protecting 3 desktops, Ethernet switch, answering machine, etc. Batteries are not cheap and hoping to get more than 2 years out of them, like the last set I bought on eBay.

Went to pick up a battery after i paid for it i ask the person who claimed to be the store manager if he could install the battery and his response was iiii couuuuuuld but Im by myself despite that i was the only one in the store. I ended up going to the store in Chantilly and the personnel there were very helpful and professional. Im no going to the store in Fairfax anymore. The Chantilly store brought my confidence back.

Completely disappointed. Found what I needed,, confirmed its availability at this location, and paid online. Received an email the next day confirming my purchase was ready for pick-up. Except it wasnt. The store called, and I was told I could order my battery and get it in a week, maybe. I asked to cancel the order and refund my money, but I was told I had to visit the store for my refund. What a waste of time!
I recently had a warranty issue with a heavy duty car battery. The store confirmed my almost 3 year old defective battery and replaced it with a new one under the original warranty.
After an initial issue with an invalid warranty, they were very helpful with selection of an RV battery. After several false starts on my part, ordering online, they suggested and provided a more economical solution that they had in stock. Saved a bunch and I got it that day.
Bought a new $40 battery that holds up worse than my 4 year old original battery. Of course no returns accepted on open merchandise even when it turns out to be junk.
I had my battery replaced on my Samsung phone. The new battery is just as awful as the one they supposedly replaced it with, resulting in me charging it 4 times per day. The technician shattered the back of my phone and replaced it without telling me. The new back they put on started coming off within 5 hours of the appointment at which point I found out they replaced it because I called and they admitted to it. Now a month later the entire back is shattered despite not being dropped or anything. I dont have the patients to go back in there after my first experience.EDIT: Batteries and Bulbs replaced the battery and back glasses two weeks ago, free of charge. The Manager, Tom, was helpful in this process after my concerns were raised.

Absolutely stellar customer service. Had bought a battery and had chosen the premium install. My terminals were rusted shut and the guys here not only cleaned it up but made it right. So happy with the service here, gladly would have paid more for their extra time spent.The negative reviews on this site are straight up dumb, cheap numbskulls that suck at nickel and diming, posting because they cant afford to save a buck or two online or at walmart. Newsflash, go buy it online for it to be shipped from an unauthorize dealer like Amazon that voids the warranty (Talking to you Optima Batteries) or go to Walmart and stand in line for five hours if you feel so motivated to post a negative review on prices then, duhhhhh. People act like these guys twisted their arms in buying products.This is why we cant have decent, intelligent and honest people in any industry because people just want to spend pennies on garbage service over valuing as well as support for proper above and beyond service. The nonsense posted against them is just plain idiotic. These guys are awesome and hope the staff never changes.

Did a screen replacement myself on my iphone however I didn’t do it properly so I came here to fix it. The only issues I had were with the wifi and a slightly pixelated screen.The technician said they most likely can’t fix the wifi issue but let’s try a new screen. Before I gave the go ahead he put on a new screen to test if it would work. We tested it and everything worked fine so I gave the go ahead.Come back an hour later and the store was a bit busy and he was the only one there on a Friday night so I waited patiently till he everyone left. He then told me he had bad news, apparently there was something wrong with the shield that resulted in the home button ribbon detaching itself. Said I need a new shield.They didn’t provide the shields there but he assured me that they would order it and fix the button free of charge but advised me to still fix the screen. I refused the screen work just in case they decided not to fix the home button. He advised I call back the following day.Called back and spoke to manager who now told me a slightly different story as to why it broke. After telling him what happened he said he will contact the district franchise manager and come up with a solution Monday.I call Monday, no answer. Came in person on Tuesday and the manager there pretended to know the situation and then after asking for the resolution then claimed he knew nothing about it and I’ll have to speak to the other manager as they do no cross communicate. I asked him to call him or the district franchise manager but refused several times but finally he called the franchise manager. The franchise manager said they will not fix it because now the issue was caused by our prior repair and bending the ribbon. The manager there said this is why I need to talk to the manager I spoke to previously to avoid miscommunication apparently.Finally a few days later spoke to the previous manager who stood by the same story as the franchise manager and offered 1/2 off to fix the home button. I refused.The fact that the button was working just fine when I brought it in and that was confirmed on the work order, and that the button worked with the trial of the new screen clearly shows it was a mistake on their behalf. Next to have them tell me 3 different stories as to why this happened so they will eliminate liability is completely ridiculous and just shows this store is untrustworthy and does not care for its customers.

WAY OVER PRICED! I bought a battery for my Samsung Galaxy S5 on the 5th back today on the 9th. I paid $42.39 bought an actual Samsung battery for $10.40. The person behind the counter said they could test the guy in charge said no.

Found a replacement battery for my aging mobile phone. My only complaint is that the battery is not the original OEM equipment, but a Rayovac replacement. You also pay for the convenience of a retail store, as the battery was $10 more than the most expensive original OEM battery online.
