I just bought an older car, and I wanted to upgrade the system to allow for CarPlay and a better back-up camera. I found that Car Stereo Systems was a ten minute drive from me, so I walked into their shop. I had no idea what I wanted, or even what was available to me. I explained to Frank what I was trying to do, and he was absolutely fantastic! He walked me through the process. He asked me a list of features, and asked if I wanted them or not (Steering wheel controls, disc player, speaker upgrades, etc), then he presented all of my options. He gave me the basic option, all the way to the high end stuff, BUT he was straight up about the pros and cons of each, he didnt try to sell me the most expensive items. No pressure at all, he answered all of my questions, and was very pleasant. I went with a Pioneer head unit, and a new back up camera that is crystal clear.They did a great job on the install, he checked with me on a couple of things that they needed to work around to make it look great and made sure I was ok with it before doing anything.At the end, he told me to contact him if anything ever goes wrong with the unit. They stand behind their work. I respect that.Considering the workmanship, the expertise, and the level of care, the prices were very reasonable. They saved me the time and hassle of trying to figure out how to install it myself, and made it look as if it came from the factory that way. I would have spent hours, and made it look sloppyIve never worked with any other car stereo shop in the area, but now, I dont need to. Ill go see Frank and his guys every time.

Frank did a great job sourcing and installing new speakers in my Ford Fusion Hybrid. He replaced the original stock speakers with Phoenix Gold and the improvement in clarity is amazing - now in the same league as the Bose system in my Infiniti. I listen to classical music and can hear instruments that I never knew were there. Love it!

This company has a rare quality: Frank is honest, cheerful, knowledgable, courteous, diligent. I stopped in there, needing a car battery; dealer had been rude. Frank got it and installed it. When I needed tires, I remembered his honesty and got my tires from him. It is refreshing to see an honest person. He also had good prices. I am so impressed.

Thank you so much Frank for fixing Dash Cam on my Honda CRV. I had a Rexing S1 Pro 3-channel dashcam. It has an external back camera and lots of other things Like GPS and, hard wire kit etc.. I liked Franks honesty and got my work done with reasonable price. It was a lot of work but Frank and his team done the work very fast. They hardwired my dash cam in fuse box, grounded the wires and it was very neat and clean work. They even used their own hardwares without extra cost. There were bunch of wires but they arranged it so neat and discreet that those wires are not even visible. The work was very professional and clean. They really took care of my car and worked on it with their hearts. I am definitely going to refer all my friends and colleagues to this place and will definitely come here for sure if I have any other instalments to make. Thanks again Frank and team.

Once you buy it there are no returns. He says because of the pandemic no one is accepting returns. Worse thing is the receipt, no store logo on receipt.

Very bad customer service and the guy so aggressive, telling me that I need an appointment just for a question for the installation of something that I have no idea about it, it was my first time there and basically he kicked me out of the place .I do not recommend this place to anyone . Honestly!!!!Please search around them and you will see other places really friendly and do the same job!So rude !!!

Frank & Eddie were absolutely amazing!! my old car was pretty much near death audio wise (wires cut and all) and they were able to FIX and INSTALL a whole new radio. it was awesome and extremely affordable. i love my new system.

I just felt Frank and Team had the best interest in caring for my vehicle, from how i wanted my hatchback to sound (now amazing) to best affordable options with my budget. I felt like more or a partner in the project than just a customer. Please see this shop if you have car stereo or other needs, best customer service around.

Ill just say they told me after the fact, that you can not connect amps to secondary batteries, and let the quality of their work be represented by the pictures. Apparently the customer is only right, if you pay double the area average to get sub par work done.

Thanks Frank for the great service. I took my corolla 2015 to this shop to check the front speakers and their wirings because there was something wrong with hands free calling; I couldn’t hear the callers, however the car stereo was working fine on tweeters and the rear speakers.He found both front speakers are blown and corrosions in the wirings. He changed both front speakers and 2 feet wirings.Apparently this is an issue in this generation of Corolla, may be due to water accumulating inside the door cavity on top of the speakers. All the credit to a post at a corolla forum and Frank who was willing to confirm the diagnosis. When i took it to the dealership, they weren’t interested to look and confirm the cause of the issue; just offered a software update. Attached are pictures of the worn speakers.

Both of my cars were in need of a tire or two as well as head lights. Frank was responsive, answered all of my questions super quickly. The prices I got from Frank were insanely inexpensive in comparison to some of the other quotes I received. The used tires I purchased from their company were basically brand new. Such a quiet gem in the heart of Fairfax. I used to work less than a quarter mile from his location and never noticed they were there. I just happened to see Franks business on the side of the road and I called him from Arlington where we live to ask him about an install. I explained what happened to our car and he said to come in and gave me a very reasonable cost range. After I got to his place, he showed me different models and gave me a bunch of price options without trying to up sell me on stuff. Franks a very honest, nice guy. I own a 2020 Lexus ES350, which has a Active Noise Cancellation feature. I did my research and called many installation companies with Loudoun, Fairfax, Prince William & MD. Frank and his employees are experts in car audio. After receiving the ridiculous diagnostic cost from Best Buy (which was per 10 minutes), I decided to try my luck here. I was offered a very reasonable flat cost to test the system. With how quickly Frank found the problem which had stumped others, I completely understand the necessity of a fixed price. The culprit was an amplifier which had been improperly installed, leading to grounding issues. While he told me that I would inevitably need to replace the amp, he custom made a wedge which temporarily fixed the system. On the spot. Free of cost. I was in and out within an hour, but lingered to keep talking with them about replacement options and other general car-related matters. Six months later, the amp has finally died, and there is no question where I am going for the new one. Contrary to most specialty-repair technicians, these guys are after customer satisfaction and repeat business, not taking advantage of customers. Cant wait to hear my sound system after they get their hands on it again.

Car Stereo Systems gave me great service, and the guys there are cool. All I needed was to get a Sirius Stratus 6 installed in my car--the dealer removed it from my previous car when I traded it in--and these guys were amazing. I called the shop at 10 AM, bought the car installation kit at 11 AM, arrived at their shop at 12:15, and was out at 2 PM.The install is perfect, hidden inside the console, and the antenna is practically invisible, mounted on the corner of the dashboard. The reception and sound are perfect. Great workmanship and great price. Im going back there when I upgrade.

I am always a do it yourself type of person. I bought a Alpine X009-GM2 for my 2010 Sierra Z71. I just wanted them to look over my install and tighten it up. Highly recommend! First class service! Took my car there a month ago, they got me in the morning after I called, others had told me 2 weeks for an appointment. I had originally planned on doing the job myself, and the wiring harness I bought online was an old model and it stopped powering the unit 20mins after I picked my car up. I brought my car straight back and the owner, Frank, made his guys stop what they were doing and pulled my car back in. He got on the phone with the manufacturer, download updated software to the wiring harness in less than 20mins and has been perfect since! Popped in today to ask a simple question, Frank recognized me immediately. Will be bringing my business back in the future!

I was fed up with people claiming they knew how to get my navigation system back running who actually made it worse. Fortunate to have called around and decided on them. I have a 2011 Jeep Wrangler and I replaced the original navigation system with a Pioneer AVIC 5200 NEX. I also had a custom backup camera installed along with backup sensors. What absolutely outstanding work they did! Extremely professional and knowledgeable staff and installer! Best work I have ever seen and I have had many vehicles with previous after market installs. Frank and Alex are terrific. Highly recommend Car Stereo Systems.

I have had custom work done on my SUV with installing and uninstalling equipment. Alex does great work and Frank has been in the business for many years. They are fun to work with and although I used to install my own when I was young they have all the custom equipment to do the job. I like bass and love Rocksford! If all goes well I plan to see them soon to get my new SUV cranking! If you wanna be cheap youll just get cheap results. If you want the best in Fairfax give them a call.

These guys are the real deal! I brought in an old car and they gave it their full attention like it was a Maserati. They did exactly what they said they would do. I did have a little trouble with the system and Frank jumped back on it personally and made it exactly right. What ever else I have to do in car sound Franks shop will do it.

Went in with every intention of supporting what I believe is a local business. Unfortunately the sole employee was unhelpful. He provided no guidance on what speakers to purchase, and told me that I couldnt test any of the speakers because the system hadnt been turned on...essentially the store was open for business but for some reason they didnt turn on the system so that customers could test head-units and speakers--really useful!Bottom line, dont waste your time.

Overall a great experience. The work was performed same day. My installation was a bit lengthier than most. Had to have a new backup camera installed (would have like more options for camera). The camera selection is a slight negative.

I took my car there to get an estimate on installing my DVD player on my car and they asked for 350 $, all I asked for was to connect the factory wiring to the wires coming from the dvd player some of the wires that I couldnt figure out myself and the middle eastern guy started a bout how much this and that cost, these guys here have no knowledge on anything and definitely dont know how to get things done, they are here to rip people off and its not a bout the price they dont know what they doing,i took my wires to safe & sound in chantilly and they helped me to connect the wires for free

These guys are crooks. I took my car here to have the stereo box looked at. Turned out all it needed was a replaced fuse behind the box. They charged me $70, which I suspected was a rip off job, but since I dont know much about cars I swallowed my pride and took it. 3 months later, the same problem occurs. I take it to Best Buy and they charge me $20 to do the same thing, and even show me how to fix the problem myself if it happens again. From my experience, if you want something simple done, just take it to Best Buy and dont bother with these people.

Cant recommend them enough. Please go to Frank and his team for your custom car audio needs! My situation was that I had a bunch of gear i wanted to install in my subaru, i was able to do the tweeters but the subwoofer had me at my wits end. Frank and team were able to install everything flawlessly for a fair price - it was a tough job and would have taken me days. I had checked with Best Buy, and while their quoted price was a little cheaper, their wait list was over a month! Frank got me in the same day, even if that meant them staying a little late. Additionally, they take their time and really want repeat business - if you go to a big box place you will just be a number in line and they will want to get you in and out as fast as possible. I will return in the future!

I recently engaged Frank and his team at Fairfax Car Stereo Systems to install an entirely new sound system in my 2008 Nissan Xterra, including: JVC DVD / Bluetooth Headunit, Subwoofer / Sub Amp, Six Speakers with dedicated Speaker Amp, and Rear View Camera. In a nutshell, I found the people in this shop to be knowledgeable, flexible, personable, professional, and transparent.All system components were installed within the estimated timeframe (24 hours) and the install work exceeded my expectations of quality. The final cost was within 10% of the estimate quoted to me, and Frank proactively contacted me in advance of performing any “add-on” work that came up through the course of install to explain why it was necessary and how it would impact the bottom line, all of which I found to be reasonable and understandable. For example, I’d bought the wrong wiring harness for the head unit, so Frank personally tracked down the appropriate harness and made a trip out to Leesburg to procure the part.Ive previously done my own sound system installs on two vehicles, and through those experiences Ive gained a couple of insights: no install will go entirely as planned because every car / system combination has its own nuances / challenges, and the work will take you at least 3x longer than expected. For these reasons, I wanted this install done by professionals, and done right. I also like supporting small businesses and I found the quote from Fairfax Car Stereo to be in line with the “big box” stores. If you have the time and patience to try it on your own – by all means enjoy the process – but if you lack the time or know-how and have the financial capacity to know the work is done right, I highly recommend this shop.Overall a great experience and I’ve been assured that Frank and his team will stand behind their work if any issues should arise. I trust that to be the case and will update this review if I ever have reason to the contrary.
