I recently visited this location because I wanted some waffles. The greeter was unwelcoming and I honestly I immediately felt uncomfortable. I asked if I could be seated outside and he said outside was full. I asked how long before Seating would be available and he said he didnt know how long it would take. First come, first serve. However, I got the impression that he didnt take the time confirm with a manager if theres a waiting list. I quickly realized no other black nationality was seated at this location. He kept saying sorry and theres nothing he could do. I wasnt even given an option to take out. I felt very uncomfortable and left. Hopefully in the future my presence would be welcome. Unfortunately I cant rate the food since I never got an opportunity to dine here.

I had the pleasure to meet the lovely owner who came to our place and chat with us about the love and understanding about coffee she shares. Highly recommend to stop by there. Everyone wants a regular coffee place to go to and know what youll enjoy it each time. This place is definitely that place.I got a drip coffee which was very well priced but not that delicious, to be expected. My sister got a cappuccino and she loved it! The bagel she got was also amazing and the cream cheese spread was so generous that it blew my mind compares to Einstein Bros.The decor of the joint was very modern chic, with the tiles and lighting. Outdoor seating was also available. WiFi and amenities were great too. Would go here again.

These guys are great coffee shop! Delicious coffee, delicious baked goods, very reasonably priced sandwiches and snacks… Just kind of the perfect coffee place. Just a day, I got a call from them because they noticed that my regular coffee order was a little different. They wanted to make sure they weren’t accidentally getting it wrong. I mean who does this! Who remembers their customers, remembers their names, and remembers their orders? I just can’t say enough about what a wonderful shot they are. Simply Social has the best dirty chai lattes in NoVA, rich spicy and delicious. If that wasn’t enough reason to love them, they also offer delicious sandwiches, quesadillas, avocado toast and my personal favorite, Belgian waffles heaped with fresh berries and whipped cream! Everything is made up fresh to order and served all day long. You can order ahead online or by phone and they’ll bring your order out to your car when you arrive or you can enjoy their patio dining area. Service is fast and friendly. A great spot for a little Sunday brunch action!

As anyone who follows my reviews (literally no one) knows, I have a soft spot in my heart for local coffee shops. I search them out like the pioneers of old searched for gold. Its, you might say, a passion.So, when I heard that Simply Social had opened up I knew that I had to give it a shot. It took a couple of weeks, but I finally made it out today and, I must say, I was nothing but pleased with the whole place.Simply Social is a locally owned coffee shop and cafe that specializes in your standard classics like drip coffee, espresso, Americanos, etc. They also have a pretty wide selection of fresh pastries and sandwiches. The owner and the rest of the staff were absolutely wonderful. Very kind, welcoming and helpful.Upon first walking in, I was a little surprised at how small the shop actually was. Typically you expect these places to be a little bit larger with lots of seating and places to work. Not so here. There were about 8 tables packed pretty closely together and some chairs in the back corner. This could be a little irritating for some but, as the name would imply, the point of the place if for sociability and tight spaces tend to bring people together pretty well.Ill also say that I had no trouble focusing while I was there. I brought work and had plenty of space and freedom to do what I wantedThe shop itself is wonderful. It has a modern coffee shop feel while still feeling cozy and quaint. Thats a hard balance to strike but Simply Social has done it masterfully.In terms of the coffee, it was phenomenal. I was a little disappointed to find that they dont do pour overs (apparently they wanted to, but they ran out of counter space) so I opted for the drip coffee. Typically Im not really impressed with it, but this is some of the best Ive had. Very smooth and not overpowering.All in all, I really liked this place and Ill definitely be visiting it again in the future. Hope it stays in the area for many years to come.

Weve been living pretty much across the street from the Fairfax location for over a year and JUST discovered it about two months ago- such a shame! We LOVE Simply Social! The coffee is fantastic, their avocado toast is delicious (they have a great gluten free option!) and Sam is simply wonderful! Hes such a delight, always pleasant and helpful- so much so that you can tell he really enjoys his job. Weve raved about this place and will continue to as long as their service remains impeccable!

The best coffee I had in Northern VA! The baristas are incredible and the vibe is unmatched. It is a little small so gets filled very quickly. But it’s worth the coffee. Definitely a place to go to meet friends and have some delicious coffee. They also give these small crackers on the side which is something you don’t find elsewhere.

Discovered this new cafe about a week ago and have already gone back three different times! If youre looking for a delicious, Instagram-able cafe this is your place! The environment inside is relaxed and calm making it great for studying. The coffee and food are just as great as the environment. I tried the caramel latte and the chicken mozzarella sandwich. Both very very delicious! The prices are also decent for the quality of the food and coffee. The only down side id say is I wish they have more tables to study on and turned the heating on 2 degrees higher. Nonetheless, I am very glad this cafe opened near by :)

Absolutely amazing coffee shop (with great food too!!) across the street from my office. Ive been here three years and only just found Simply Social about a year ago unfortunately...I wish I knew about it earlier! I had been going to another coffee shop much further away before.As a small business owner myself, small/local non-chain coffee shops are really important to me and Ill pretty much refuse to go to a Starbucks or other chain if there is a local alternative. Ive been going consistently to Simply Social now for about a year, and I have never once had a bad experience. The quality of the coffee is superb, the service is fantastic, and Im always greeted by a very friendly and smiling cashier.To top it all off, they are taking COVID very seriously and are not allowing indoor dining which I greatly appreciate. I know thats a difficult decision to make since it cuts down on revenue, but it makes me happy to see they are doing what is right.

Great coffee and cinnamon roll

Was my first time and very unpleasant experience.I did mobile order and waited for it outside. There was a empty table and thought it was for mobil order, but after like 30minutes, still nothing. So i asked one guy there that i did mobile order and he said that ‘you need to tell us. Were you just sitting there until we serve it to you?’ I didnt expect them to bring it to me!! I was just waiting. I just told him that i did mobile order. That was it. Didnt say anything bad or rude. That’s how they treat their customers. So rude.And you see that picture. I didnt drink it at all. Never touched. I ordered it no ice. And there it is. It’s like what 60% of it? Of course, i didnt expect a full full amount of the drink when i order less ice or no ice, but 60%?? That’s too much. They just selling half of drinks and charge full price. They will make a lot of money.I went there because it was only cafe that has patio around there. But i will never go there again! Why should i get treated like that and unreasonable amount of drink paying my money? So bad experience..

I love this little cafe - it reminds me of the many cafes in South Korea when we lived there a few years ago. The cappuccino was delicious and the muffin was moist (altho I think there were a total of 2 blueberries in the entire thing). The place is super clean with fresh flowers on the tables and free WiFi

Theres a huge parking lot outside. Perfect for those with cars.

This is the coffee shop Fairfax needed. Menu is a great variety and sooo good. The service is also incredibly friendly and the pride in ownership is clear from the interior decor down to the drink presentation. Wish they had more seating. Its already a hot spot!

This has become my favorite local coffee shop in recent months. The staff are extremely kind, and the drinks are put together with immense quality.The procedure they have set in place for COVID-19 convey that management cares about the local community, as well as its own employees.This is certainly the place to go if your seeking some quality coffee. Espressos are perfectly extracted, and milk is well steamed.

Loved the white chocolate Mocha & avacado toast with hard boiled eggs. Food is very tasty. It’s a small place though.

Delightful cafe with delicious pastries and very pleasant staff. Best crossoints in nova. The almond flavor is worth a try, perfectly balanced and not too sweet. The crossoints are made in Europen fashion and very much reminded us of the authentic ones we had in Paris. The coffee was also great & their menu showed local kombutcha on tap! Cant wait to try it next time. Only downside is that the cafe is a little small, feels very crowded.

Reviewing the Fairfax location. Excellent coffee. Tasty breakfasts. That waffle!! So good. Egg sandwich served hot and with what I wanted on it. Choice of cheese. Really good. Caring staff. At recent curbside pickup, staffer made sure we knew which of our Americanos had the Splenda. A small gesture, but so appreciated as anyone who does not like sweet coffee knows. Love that coffee drinks come with a triangle of pizzelle (crispy Italian cookie). Outdoor socially distanced cute tents. Inside—when Covid allows! I was inside before Covid. Cute, cheerful decor. A sunny coffee house vibe. Make sure when ordering online that you have the right location. Menu items may be different. If calling ask about the pastries on hand for that day.

Due to covid you order and Wait outside for your drinks. Staff are quick and polite. You get a wafer cookie with your drink which is a nice touch!

Great place, service/staff makes you return. Plenty of friendly staff, no long waits on orders, great coffee and a perfectly creamy hot chocolate with awesome whipped cream. I had the Avocado toast, tasty. They also have eye popping ready-made pastries, freshly made (not defrosted), and a light breakfast menu, our order for breakfast came out fast. I am picky about cleanliness, the place was super clean, it is bright with tables inside & out, a small sofa/chairs area. Annie was outstanding. I highly recommend.

Amazing coffee and good snack options

Amazingly tasty food! I had been eyeing this place for awhile and I finally came here for brunch. The chipotle chicken on ciabatta is delicious, especially with the avocado and chipotle sauce! The avocado toast is also super good, but I think they shouldnt charge extra for a meat option. The ambiance is very warm and inviting. The inside is very clean and employees are actively cleaning the tables for new clients. Staff was very friendly on top of everything else.Definitely a great place for brunch on a budget, and even when not on a budget.Would recommend and definitely coming back again.

This place is amazing. All of the food is fresh as possible and tasty. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The outside area is great for enjoying your breakfast and coffee with your dog. Seating can get limited if you come at a bust time, so try visiting during an off peak time.

Great curbside covid service and a delicious dirty matcha

Me and my wife love to come here whenever we have the free time, the matcha lattes they serve here are better than anywhere else weve been and the breakfast sandwiches are fantastic.

One of the best coffee shops Ive ever been to. Their coffee is incredible and they really take the time to make incredible coffee art! I saw the barista spending at least a minute per cup just on the art!Their food was also amazing. The ham and cheese croissant was delicious!

One of the best coffee places around. The place is clean even though it is small. Their almond croissant is out of this world. The guy who makes the coffee excellent! I wish their working hours on weekdays be a little bit long. I always look forward to go there and enjoy their Italian cappuccino! You wont regret going there!

Great coffee & very COVID-friendly!

I moved to the area a few years ago from Chicago and am so happy to finally find a place that has amazing coffee. The food is pretty amazing as well and the fresh bakery items are a must. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I love that its a smaller coffee shop and feels super cozy. I believe Ive stopped by 4 or 5 times in the last week...I am already excited to return. :)

Simply social is a small coffee shop with comfortable seating. I went in around 3:00 on a Friday and there was a good number of people there, but by no means crowded. I got my order (a dark chocolate mocha) very quickly, and I found it delicious. 5/5 coffee ambience, and relaxation time.

The sandwiches/food here are AMAZING. I especially love the spicy black bean wrap and the avocado toast (only $5.95!). Everything is reasonably priced and all the food is served with a small portion of fruit, which I really appreciate. Definitely come here if you want a delicious breakfast or lunch that will fill you up without paying $12 for a small sandwich. The coffee is great as well.

COVID Update. This place Rocks. What a gem to find in Fairfax.Ok Ill start with the owners... They have a gift to make you feel like your part of a small community. They also take time to know your name and make you feel very welcome. I sometimes want to come to visit just to say hi.COFFEE: One of the best in the local area if not the best. I want to shake the baristas hand every time I take sip of their coffee. Just by taking their coffee makes me elevate my home barista game. Wish they sold the grinds here too.Food: THey have a variety of sandwiches, avocado toast, and waffles. All of them are great. I think they decided to just do these 3 and make the consistently solid.As for the COVID situation they are doing everything they should be but at the same time making people feel like they have a sense of community here in northern Virginia. I would truly say they are gifts to the community.

Having my usual lunch at simply social Cafe in Fairfax. I had a Cobb Chicken salad wrap. Seasoned chicken romaine lettuce with ranch dressing and my usual one shot latte. to me simply social is a must visits for anyone who appreciates high grade fresh quality coffee, enchanting ambience and superb service. Simply social is simply the best.

I go to this place pretty often because of the great service and great food/drinks. They have a wonderful loose leaf tea collection, which is hard to find. The owner is amazing and very friendly. After months of visiting this place, I still see the same people working around the cafe with the same smiles on their faces.Yes, this place can get busy (especially on weekends) but how can it not?

We came across this coffee place randomly and fell in love it. The cookies here are amazing too. They are very welcoming and they check upon the customer asking if everything is good. I like that part, as it shows that they are still interested in their customers rather than just take the order and then be done. Its not a very big space inside but very cozy. Check this place out!
