Service was fast, and I like that you can customize your donuts with a variety of toppings. I tried a variety, and while they were good, there was one that stood out from the rest - the maple bacon donut. They are addictive. That will be my go-to donut now any time I have a craving.

I’ve been missing this place since the one near me closed. For a Saturday morning they were busy, but it took no time for the order to come out. I highly recommend this donut shop to EVERYONE. Granted it is a little messy while still warm, but it is perfection.

Got their holiday mix. They are delicious fresh but a little heavy handed with the toppings. The new chocolate cake donuts are not as good as the regular cake donuts. The texture is not as moist and the chocolate flavor is more like a cocoa flavor. The mint icing wasnt minty enough. Stick with the regular classic flavors.

First time trying Duck Donuts. The employees were helpful and friendly. Donuts are very fresh and tasty. You can create your own toppings but since it was my first time I picked the already made up combinations which they have plenty to choose from.

Krispy Kreme has nothing on Duck Donuts. These babies are delicious! The menu offers up a very eclectic offering of flavor combinations. You can also create your own. And if you just want to stick with classic flavors, they have that too. Such a treat!!!

Love the Duck. Fresh, hot, and always fast. So many options. And they have themed donuts depending on the season or holiday. The staff is friendly and polite. I recommend trying the breakfast sandwiches too, they are delicious with the donut. One of my families favorite places.

Some quality control is needed at the Fairfax store. I’ve been to the original store in Duck, and there is something off about the presentation at Fairfax. All the ingredients are wonderful, but my guess is they are applying the toppings while the donuts are too hot. It’s causing the donuts to stick to the box and melt the toppings. Still good, but could be better with a little more employee training and supervision I think.

Not bad. Glad this is a relatively local business that is surviving the pandemic. They provide great donuts, made to order, with an artistic enthusiasm to the delicacies they offer. Their other competition, Sugar Shack donuts (which had recently closed their northern VA locations, unfortunately), were, in my honest opinion, a better donut shop. Now that Duck Donuts is the chief shop in the area--that I know of, at least--they definitively have the best donuts in town. You can see testament to this in my pictures, where I clearly failed to write my review before I dove in to my box of freshly baked pastries. Pictured are whats left: the Cinnamon Bun and a vanilla/coconut combo that I cant remember the name of. The ones in my tummy are a classic glazed and another vanilla/cinnamon sugar combo. Yes, these donuts were for just me. Dont act like you havent done the same.If you typically stick to franchised fare, say, Dunkin or Krispy, Id recommend breaking your routine for something fresher, gooey-er, more artisanal, and more underdog than major corporations. Try Duck Donuts, for example.

My husband and I came to pick up a few items from Petco and we saw duck donuts. So we popped in to try one. Omg, I have never had someone so delicious!! It tastes like it was freshly baked. My husband ordered the bacon one and I ordered the cinnamon and sugar one. They were to die for! We will definitely be back to try more!

Wow! Upon walking in, service was amazing. The donuts come out hot and you pick your own toppings and flavors. The batter is cake on all donuts so its light and fluffy. Delicious. Were from the Bay Area, CA so we dont have anything like this. We began asking the gentlemen lots of questions about the donut process, he was more than happy to educate us. Then sent us with a couple extra. Thank you! We wont forget Duck Donuts!!!

Got up late Saturday morning and drove down to Ducks Doughnuts. The line was to the door and as soon as the door opened this gust of delicious doughnut air hit me! I am not a fan of cake doughnuts but these were very good, especially since they are made fresh out the fryer. The cool thing is that you can customize them with the frosting and toppings.

Yummy as always!! Only bummer is no mini ducks up for purchase... They say theyll be back.... I hope so!

Great location, the friendliest staff around, and fresh hot cake donuts. The cashier was soooooo patient with us while we couldnt select a full dozen without drooling. This location is very busy early mornings and weekends so expect a small wait. The wait is totally worth it!

Fresh vanilla cake donuts with your choice of glaze and topping. Its a donut bar -- prepared as ordered. They were, of course, delicious because they were fresh off the frier. Everything is done in front of you like Krispy Kreme. Only 4 stars because I was surprised that the only choice of batter was vanilla cake; I prefer yeast donuts.

Came here to get some donuts with a friend and the donuts are amazing! You can choose what type of glazing you want on the donut with a topping and a drizzle and the person who made our donuts was great. The donuts are made extremely fresh (we saw them coming out of the machine) and are made to order with your add-ons. Would definitely recommend coming to this place if you have a sweet tooth or know someone who has a sweet tooth. Be sure to add bacon on your donut if you can. P.S make sure you have Anirudh making your donuts because he made ours perfectly.

GREAT warm donuts cant be beat and when one can pick and choose from all those toppings at Duck Donuts... Well it is almost perfect. Practicing social distancing and face masks required. Hands down the best donuts i have ever had. Freshly made with great glazes, toppings and drizzles. Glazes are not over powering the taste of the dough and not sugary at all, perfectly balanced donut experience withoit burning your throught with sugar. And not pricey at all...

I honestly didnt know what to expect - a coworker had brought some Duck Donuts in one day and it was a fun experience trying bits from non standard donuts. So it was incredibly fun building donuts via the checklist that they have available at the shop with my son and then watching the Donuteers put our order together. Highly recommended to break the monotony of Dunkin or Krispy.

Online ordering is a mess. The site used does not give accurate times of when your order will be. The site said 9:30am, but my confirmation told me 1pm. I asked for my order to be canceled in store, but was not refunded. Multiple attempts to have it rectified in phone and emails to store have gone unreturned. Was trying to support a local business in a crazy time, and also said we would be happy to have a store credit to use vs refund to make it easier. Good donuts, bad customer service.Amended my review. Someone reached out and corrected the situation.

GREAT DONUTS. Was here about 4 yrs ago, just drove from New Hampshire, STOP here just for the Donuts. Not a wasted stop. Keith, the owner, very nice, took time out to tell us a few things about the shop, and where others where along our travel. If youre in the area, its a MUST Stop location.

Made fresh right infront of your eye, you eat it hot and its really good. Multi option to choose from. The taste is different from what we have on the store brought or other pre made store donuts. I like the option where you could make your own basically you could choose base and topping and sprinkles

I went there on the weekend, the cashier didn’t take my order because of they had too many orders already but when another guy came after me ordered she accepted his order in from of me. So I went to ask she still not quite sure gonna accept my order and went back to ask another lady. Then they can took my order finally and told me I need to wait 40 mins. Service is very important for every company if you plan to put a sign on OPEN you should accept every orders and explain if the clients order will be longer. I give 2 stars for a good taste for donuts. For service I’m very disappointed !

Would have been 5 stars, except I got there 35 min after placing my online order, and they hadnt even started making it. The guy at the register didnt care... he was too busy playing on his phone to help. Had to wait 25 min for them to finish another customers dozen before I finally got what I ordered (now 1 hour previously). The only employee working hard was the one girl making the donuts, which were excellent. *sigh* Next time, Im ordering at another location.

Normally theyre great. Today they were incredibly slow and disorganized. Waited 30 minutes for our donuts while people who came after us were served first.

We went around 5pm on on a Saturday. It had a very friendly staff and of course great donuts. However, the dining area was filthy, trash was full to the brim, and all the coffee and creamer was out. I understand that being 5pm you might not be expecting coffee drinkers but I recommend at least doing hourly checks of the dining area to clean and see what needs to be stocked.

This place rocks! The staff is so friendly and efficient. We didnt wait long, but our attendant was concerned that we did and threw in an extra donut for us to enjoy. The donuts are SO delicious. They are warm and gooey -- and we all agreed, the best flavors we have ever had! Do yourself a favor and go here for a treat!

I’ve come to duck donuts a bunch and have always loved it, but it wasn’t until I brought my family visiting from California here that I realized what a gem it is. California has a lot of donut shops- really really great small businesses with the iconic pink boxes and cake donuts. But they were thoroughly impressed by the sheer deliciousness of the donuts here. They’re perfectly warm and not too heavy. The toppings and customizations are endless. The service was quick and friendly as well. Very pleased!

Amazing donuts! I love the customization factor here. Theres basically a donut for everyone.We got a bucket of donuts and got a wide variety. They make these donuts fresh in front of you, so by the time you get them theyre still hot. My favorite is probably a tie between the classic chocolate with rainbow sprinkles or the peanut butter chocolate donut.Service is really friendly. Definitely a crowd pleaser!

Was there back in 8/12 waited for over an hour for my order and it was not ready. Talked to manger to hace my order Canceled and Manager said he would make order himself at no charge since we were there for so long and had placed order online. That credit or refund up to this day has not been processed.

This place definitely lived up to the hype for us. We liked the maple bacon and the cookies and cream the best. I also like that they were thorough in explaining any potential cross-contamination issues with my daughters nut allergy. I am not sure that this is the best place for you to eat if you have a severe peanut allergy.

Ive been here three times and ordered 6 donuts each time. The donuts are good, but each time there were multiple mistakes. Part of the appeal is to pick your own toppings, so its disappointing to get home and not have what was ordered.Granted if I had picked them up I would have double checked, but my kids not so much.

Came right after dinner from Panera today and absolutely loved it. It only took 5 minutes for 6 freshly made donuts! The pair of two young Indians who were making the donuts were working together seamlessly and popping out dozens and half dozens by the minute, it was truly like a show to watch. Not to mention the donuts were beautiful and so tasty! Definitely coming back with friends and family!

This was my first time ever going here. I went here to get some donuts for my daughter and her friends. I looked at one of the donuts and it looked absolutely amazing. The donuts were nice and warm and smelled great. I immediately went back up to the counter and ordered myself one also. It was the best donut that I have ever had which was the cookies and cream donut with chocolate drizzle. I definitely recommend going here at least once the staff was also patient and helpful.
