A great place 100% and newbie friendly for sure. Bit small, but anything not in stock can be ordered to the store without much trouble & the paint selection is usually good.I don’t get those reviews about the manager begging for reviews or being unhelpful (also maybe try spelling his name right). He’s always been really helpful with teaching, finding the right kits, and helping me figure out my color scheme on my minis.I definitely wouldn’t have been able to stick to learning how to paint if not for his help.

I can confirm what someone else posted below about the manager named keyon begging for 5 star reviews, I was a casual visitor and found him to be very pushy and as soon as I told him Id just like to look around he said thats what we have a website for then walked away. I finished looking and he asked that I leave a 5 star review, lol sorry but no.

I am not one to ordinarily leave reviews. But wanted to take a moment to thank Keylon the manager of the Pender Village Gamesworkshop for his welcoming nature and wonderful customer service. I am a returning player to 40k who had a lot of questions. Keylon has always taken the time to explain how things in the game work now and is never sells pushy and always willing to share his knowledge/viewpoint. Also, his paintings classes are wonderful and extremely helpful/insightful. Thanks to him I am back in the hobby again and having a wonderful time. Courage and Honour! and We March for Macragge!.

I have only been in the Warhammer hobby for a few months now, but I can say that collecting and painting Games Workshop models has quickly become a passion of mine thanks to this shop. The manager is very friendly and helpful. He takes his time to keep the shop clean and organized so that it is easy to find what you are looking for. The community that frequents the shop is very kind as well. I cant wait for the shop to open up fully so that we can come in to paint and play!!

Amazing customer service and really friendly staff

I had a great experience at this store. The gentleman who works here, Mr. Keylon, is extremely courteous, professional and knowledgeable. As a result of going to the store on Warhammer Day, I also walked away with some bonus goodies. The Emperor Protects.

This place is great! I went in just trying to scope the place out and see what it was like and ended up having a great time! One of the employees helper me learn to paint one of my pieces I had brought in and shower me a lot of useful techniques. Everyone there seemed very knowledgeable and there was plenty of inventory. I will for sure be coming back and cant wait to see everyone again!

Very newbie friendly store with a personable and knowledgeable manager. Does a good job of spinning you up on the essentials and giving you painting tips and tricks without actually trying to be pushy about selling you stuff.

Id give 6 out of 5 if I could. Super friendly and knowledgeable. They also enforce social distancing, masks, and people capacities to keep everyone safe. They dont push you to buy stuff you dont need, and will let you know if something is going to be out of date soon. When I next need stuff for my new hobby, this will be where I go first!

Awesome shop, bought my first 40k miniatures here late 2019 and visit infrequently, but the manager has always been super nice and provided great advice and great conversation, very welcoming!

This is a great GW store! They have an amazing selection, and the manager, Keylon, is incredibly helpful. He is always willing to take the time to explain the hobby to newcomers, and show them how to build and paint. For folks that have been doing this a while, he will gladly give out more advanced painting advice and tutorials. He definitely knows what hes doing.If the store doesnt have what youre looking for, Keylon will definitely get it for you.

I just walked in to see what the fuss with these figures was about. Manager walked me through the spiel, but I wasnt interested. Then he practically begs me to leave a 5-star review as Im about to leave? what? Manager here needs to be investigated for all these fake reviews probably.

A great shop. Employees always want to help you and seem passionate about the hobby, which is cool. Folks are always nice to my kids and I dont feel embarrassed playing their either. I prefer to buy at the shop than online as I want to support them and keep having a Games Workshop near me.

Small store with only one playable table. It has a good selection but is pretty standard for GW stores. Owner is a kind of a know it all puff up his chest type so after indulging his nerd ego for a bit he was able to help me with my questions. This isn’t a store for socializing.

Very well kept store with very competent staff. Very versed in what they sell and have a unique input on what you should or shouldnt purchase depending on what youre trying to do or paint.

The store itself has a good selection of Warhammer miniatures and paint. My real issue was with the service I received.When I first went in I did a lap to look around and went up to the front desk where the clerk was sitting. He was painting a miniature and rarely looked up as I talked to him. I mentioned I was new to miniature painting and wanted to get into it. He then proceeded to berate me on my lack of knowledge and experience. When I tried interjecting with a question he would dismissively respond, watch the Games Workshop painting tutorials on YouTube. Questions he did answer always started off with a nice scoff on how little I knew.He was extremely rude and unkind to a potential new customer. Regrettably I did buy a can of primer, but I will NEVER do business with this store again. I have to admit, seeing anything with the Games Workshop logo brings back memories of this incident.

Manager as helpful and polite. Great selection. Even the regulars building and painting were helpful. Was definitely worth the drive from Harrisonburg. Cant wait to go back.

Love going here! Things havent been the same since I had to make a large return, but this is by far my favorite Games Workshop with the friendliest staff around

Very poor management

We were outside for an hour. Lights were on, it was during business hours, door was locked. We never saw a single person. Tried calling a couple times and got no answer. Multiple people attempted to visit the store during the hour we were outside and left after standing around for a few minutes.

Super friendly store manager. Best gw in the area!

Arrived an hour before closing, hopeful for a quick intro to Age of Sigmar. Not only did Doshu the manager help out, we ended up having a hilarious game after and he offered a lift to my airport hotel (I was travelling through from New Zealand) as it was on his way home. The location was accessible and the store modest but well stocked and spacious for gaming. Thank you Doshu!
