My daughter’s, niece & I visited this shop today and had an amazing experience. The energy, The vibe was out of this world. I saw that they had a Tarot reader today & I sat down for 30 mins with Sway. Such a great first tarot reading for me and it resonated from the beginning to end. HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking out when she will be available next. I ended my visit buying some crystals, and Sway gave me some great recommendations. My daughters and niece loved the place and purchased a few items as well. They are already asking to go back next week.Once again, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The store is nice. I sent my husband in with a list and was surprised they actually had everything on it 🙂 I was thinking it was a little pricey when I seen the receipt, BUT.. im new to this.. So idk.. Maybe most dont have to buy everything at once like I did lol The sage, incents and candles 🕯 are actually a lot cheaper then other places though 😉 I really liked the store and will be back again

I agree with another review on here, one of the best places to get bulk herbs.i used to really like coming here but the vibe is so off now. Im not really sure what changed but everytime Ive gone since after the pandemic started the energy has changed significantly. i just no longer feel welcome. its really disappointing because Ive had good conversations and connections with some of the staff as well as the owner in the past.

I walked into Sticks and Stones and immediately felt at home... This was important to me bc Ive relocated to this area and have been feeling so lost! The shop was AMAZING with beautiful crystals, candles, books, etc. I spoke to a wonderful woman who helped me find some protection items. Everyone was so open, friendly, and helpful. I will DEFINITELY be back!!!!!!!!! ❤️

Pretty cool if youre into the different spiritual kind of things. I mostly like the different types of rocks and crystals, some of it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for I guess.

Pretty good witchy woo-woo store. Plenty of incense and crystals and the like. Everything there seemed pretty legit. I overheard some pretty solid advice being given out surrounding the practical side of common spell components (dont put essential oils in your skin, check non-wiccan sources on herbs, know which crystals are water soluble or contain asbestos, etc.) so Id say these folks know theyre stuff.

The shop is lovely, the smells are never overwhelming, which is great because Im very sensitive to smells, there are some beautiful one of a kind items and a variety of gems (loose or in jewelry). The owner really makes the shop shine, she is kind, friendly and knowledgeable and her staff are lovely. Ive been coming in almost weekly since my cancer diagnosis for various items to help with healing and comfort to augment my procedures.

I have been going to Sticks & Stones for my spiritual needs for over a year now, and they always have everything I need and more. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and I have personally felt very welcomed whenever shopping or attending a class. The best thing about this shop is their wide selection- they have pretty much ANYTHING you could possibly need, for any practice.

Stealing and appropriating different cultures isn’t cute. If you shop here and don’t see a problem with it you are also a problem. Please learn what is a closed practice and not before you sell and buy things thanks.

I really loved Sticks and Stones. But recently my feelings about them have changed. I have been a customer for about a year after finding them on social media. The last two times I have gone I have not had the best experience though. The first occurrence- a customer was checking out and was asking about a stone. The cashier was polite to them but as soon as they left after paying, she proceeded to judge the customers purchase to her co workers. Fine. That conversation did not involve me.On the second occasion - same thing happened but this time it was a different cashier. They waited for the customer to leave and proceeded to judge them as soon as they left stating that they didnt know what they were doing and that they were trying to be “trendy”. This statement saddened me. We do not know what that customer is going through and judging them for seeking help in his own way is not okay. Also- anyone that considers themselves knowledgeable, and are really concerned about what the customer is doing, then why not try to educate them? Or offer them the resources?? Shoppers please beware. You may be judged as soon as you turn your back after supporting a small local business. I really liked coming to this shop for their candles but I have decided to make my own and not stepping foot in this negative shop again.

The BEST PLACE OM EARTH.

When I first moved to the area, I had friends from around the US tell me to check out this cool little shop in Fairfax. I walked in and it felt like home. I would just go to hang out and soak in the knowledge of the owner, who is a goddess, and those that were also just hanging out. Sticks and Stones became family. The floor is a little squeaky but thats okay. Its how we determine if you are a physical body or coporeal. =) I have spent many wonderful hours in this store learning, laughing, and being welcomed by a wonderful community. There are many amazing readers in the store to help enliven and enlighten your life. The staff is quirky and fun, knowledgable and honest. Step inside and its like being in a magical treasure trove. Definitely a one of a kind place to find all of your magical, spiritual, metaphysical needs.

What can I say they havent run me out of there yet so I guess theyre on my Christmas list (Although I dont know if witches observe that event)

I loved this little store. I took my family, husband and two young boys. Normally it’s stressful trying to make sure they aren’t loud or touching everything but we all had a great time. I felt comfortable immediately. The gals at the desk were wonderful. I gave my kids a budget of $10 and the girls at the front helped my kids build their own necklaces within the budget. Both my boys were very excited and happy about what they got. The ladies were very kind, talking with me in length about different crystals and their healing properties and also educating my kids as well with patience and kindness. I’ve been to other stores where I’ve felt overwhelmed and lost but we took our time in here and enjoyed the shop. Prices were a bit higher than other places I’ve been but I’m ok with spending a little more to help a small business, especially with how they treated me and my family.I also want to add that there was a lady sitting at a table, I felt a pull to her, wanted to talk to her but I’m shy and didn’t approach her. The ladies said it was the owner of the shop. I guess she does readings. I also liked that the gals and owner weren’t wearing shoes. It was a relaxed and light atmosphere. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll be stopping by, maybe even schedule a reading.

Hello, I have recently begun my spiritual journey, so i’ve been looking for Crystal Shop’s that are local to me so that i can essentially grow my collection, I normally order online from a trustworthy woman, went into Sticks & Stones Today, I read reviews prior, Read some about people not being greeted upon arrival, which i experienced not one person said hello to me when i was inside the store only encounter speaking i had was with a woman who complimented my top when i was checking out, But everyone else after me was greeted and there was plenty of people on the floor working. As i’m browsing i can’t help but to notice a off putting vibe it’s not terrible but it’s not great either, the crystal’s look to be yes FAKE i looked at the hematite rings which were all stuck together, contrary to popular opinion they’re not suppose to be attracted to each other and if they do they’re not real. i have a real hematite ring, there was also nothing saying how much anything costs and what did have a sticker was outrageously expensive, like $50 $80 really? I’m very disappointed, i did leave with some crystals mainly cause i traveled so far to be there and didn’t want to waste the time and trip. But i don’t recommend this Crystal Shop, And the authenticity let alone place of region i don’t believe is known by these ladies. Be careful or you’ll get fake’s

I’ve been to sticks and stones before, I would say about a year ago. I am sad to say that this last time I went (last week) the vibe was completely different, it just didn’t feel very welcoming. I am also not sure in which manner this ship acquires their inventory and if they’re sourced legitimately. I purchased a few stones anyway and I shouldn’t have, I just didn’t have the best feeling in my gut while I was there. One of the stones I had purchased (raw citrine) was unfortunately fake, the “rock” or “plastic” I should call it, was made of resin. This saddens me deeply as anyone who believes in the healing properties of crystals and the energy they carry wouldn’t feel right by this. Everything carries energy, everything holds some form of power and crystals are one of those things. When you believe you are buying an authentic item for healing/energetic purposes and it ends up being fake, it’s just upsetting.

Good shop the people are kind and overall good experience, kinda upset I just found out that they sold me “aqua obsidian” which is apparently just blue glass and manmade

I really appreciate the environment, they seem to treat all their customers kindly and share their knowledge and advice like they were family.I went in looking for a gift for someone with no clue what to get, after a while i asked for some help with the tarot decks and the store person said there was a deck in the new shipments that kept popping out at her in her mind to show me. It was the sun and moon tarot. On the drive over, i had been thinking about my friends connection to the moon while i prefer the sun. I got the gift for her!

Absolutely loved visiting Sticks and Stones. I came with a few friends and we were just in awe of how lovely the shop was. We were kindly greeted and even shared a light conversation between staff. We wound up spending two hours in store and if we didnt have other plans in the day, we easily could have spent a few more hours there!Prices are great! I cannot wait to visit again.

Great products and most of all great customer service. It was my first time in here, and I bought an incense burner. When I got home later in the day I noticed it was broken. I immediately called the store and explained my situation and they were so understanding. They advised me just to come in and exchange it. I was really appreciative that they allowed me to do that. To me that speaks volumes about them and makes me want to return to their store, as well as tell others about their great service and products.

My most favorite place for any metaphysical supply. They have incense, candles, crystal & stones, books, tarots, various workshops and classes, and more. If youre looking for a tarot reader, they have a bunch of experienced tarot readers. Looking for a reiki healer? A bunch of reiki masters are available in their contact. Want a guide for meditation? They have meditation course and classes to offer also their meditation trainer can help you if you need him. So overall this place is a jam.

Great shop with tons of metaphysical goodies from tarot decks to candles. That have a good selection of crystals, I grabbed a few of them my favorite was a guava quartz. Also picked up a money drawing candle, Hematite rings, a salt bar, Florida Water spray, and Nag Champa bar soap. It was pretty busy during my visit. filled with shoppers and a great deal of energy in the atmosphere. I believe they do readings here as well.

I have been living out of state & havent been to S&S since their previous location. Loved the adorable kitten running around; great selection of stones, incense, and candles. I think they could use more decks and books though. Id like to see more metaphysical supplies like decks/books on the Akashic records and sacred geometry.

Hey, this review comes my high expectation of customer service and friendly vibes when Ive gone to other crystal shops. This one, sorry, but not sorry. A friendly welcome wouldve been nice. Stood looking and inspecting the obsidian for a long time, no Can I help you find anything in particular. I am particularly looking for Hematite rings and yes she has them, but sadly theyre fake. Man made hematite is almost like a magnet and will all stick together like the ones in this shop. So makes me wonder the quality check and research that goes behind the buying of theses stones. Is there one at all? I take my minerals, rocks, crystals seriously as anyone should. Plus why is there a Red Bull can underneath a spiritual deity? The amount of cancerous and harmful chemicals in that drink! And for it to be under a respected symbol, makes sense on why there is no REAL care in this shop.

Im going to say this..When you step into any metaphysical shop it should be a great experience, and the vibes should be loving/positive.When I came in this shop yesterday there were two women working. One woman with short hair behind the register, and another taller woman with long hair on the floor. Both were occupied having personal conversations with other customers/friends. FINE.I was in the store for about 15 minutes and I watched them offer to help friends they were speaking to, but no one even greeted me at this point. I could feel the woman behind the register leering at me so I asked her if she was the owner of the shop. She told me she wasnt, and I mentioned how unsettling it was that I had been the shop for about 20 minutes and I wasnt greeted. She replied, oh sorry and continued to look at her phone. She still didnt offer me any assistance. MY GOODNESS. At this point I was very upset. Who wants to pick out stones when theyre upset?! Unfortunately I did.. I wish I didnt. I felt VERY uncomfortable.After I received the oh sorry, other patrons walked into the shop and were immediately greeted and offered assistance. I cant help but take this personally at this point. I shouldve left and took my business elsewhere. After I was in the shop for about 35-40 minutes, the woman behind the register asks if I need help with anything. I was ready to pay and leave at that point. There arent many shops like this in the Northern Virginia area, this shop has a nice selection, but I feel that most items are over priced because of the area (Fairfax). You can bet your bottom dollar I will take my business somewhere else going forward.

A fantastic store, with a friendly and very knowledgeable staff. The store is full of otherworldly delights and has a wonderful and welcoming energy (even the cat came out to greet me). Like most small, ‘one of a kind’ shops you really get back that energy that you give off. I always enjoy my visits here and cant wait to come back in!

Lovely store that caters to a variety of beliefs. Very friendly and warm throughout the store and had a great conversation with the store owner. Classes are listed on the website and one was just letting out while I shopped so I asked a few how it went. Everyone I spoke to had big genuine smiles and had nothing but nice things to say. Most amazing metaphysical/witchy store I have ever been to. Its large and packed to the brim with everything you could need for your spells, meditations, altars or even just house decor. The girls working there were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, the cat was super sweet and the classes offered are fun. It was worth the hour and a half drive to get there!

Its gorgeous, chock full of stones, herbs, altar items, and far too much to see in just one visit. The atmosphere is soothing and also very energetic. Staff is great, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Everyone says the Best...But. go in and check it out for yourself. They have a great selection of Books, herbs, candles, crystals and a warm and willing heart of service. The only problem is finding it... Your GPS will take you to the building that the store is on the backside of. Oh and a lot of parking on that side also.

This hidden Gem has anything you would need. There are so many amazing Stones, herbs, and healing mechanisms. I really appreciate how large this spaces and used to frequent their former location. My only feedback is that sometimes the front desk person engages with customers to tell them about upcoming event and I have never been welcomed to it or told about upcoming events personally Ive only overheard the staff telling other people. When that happens I dont necessarily feel welcomed in the space. One time I was there shopping for about 20 minutes and another customer came in and they immediately told them about upcoming events but never mentioned it to me. That was not ideal. I will still frequent this place and highly recommend it to others!

Weird energy. Over priced! The vibe was pathetic . I traveled an hour to spend my money on a small business instead of some corporate company. I brought $300 in with me and only bought $30 worth of stuff. I couldnt get out of there quick enough but didnt want to leave empty handed since I traveled an hour to get there. Short hair girl was pretty fake and snobby. It reminds me more of a halloween costume shop rather than a metaphysical or spiritual shop.

Friendly atmosphere and have wonderful items to choose from, but too over priced. I have been to new age shops in my life time and there are a few that are affordable in Maryland. $5 for small quartz rocks are too much in my book and a box of Nag Champa 250 count for $5o something is over priced can find lower prices in Amazon.If your on a budget then search around to find other new age stores if not then this would be the store for you. Happy shopping.

I didn’t feel very welcomed when I walked into their store. Nobody welcomed my family or said hello. Some people came into the store later and they were instantly welcomed and I’m assuming they were all friends. I felt as though I was intruding on them. Also the store is way too overpriced.

This is my absolute favorite store! I came in with my mother the other day to see what they had, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a little bit of everything! Their selection was incredible, I found everything at this store that I failed to find at others. They seem to cater to so many different types of practices, it is easy to find everything you need, from tarots to rune stones, herbs, stones and much more. The employees were very helpful and insanely kind. The prices were great too, which was a plus. We felt very welcomed and will definitely be coming back. The energy there was so peaceful.
