Super clean and organized store. The staff was super helpful and friendly. They offered to ship my books to me so I wouldnt have to take them on the plane with me, as I was visiting some family.
Barnes & Noble is always fun for my daughter and I. We can spend hours there and not realize it until someone calls us or we look up and notice its dark out. Im particularly happy that she purchased some books so she can give her brain a break from electronics... Always great customer service at this store.
Staff are very helpful. Great to browse through and touch the books you are considering for purchase.
Whilst otherwise a groovy B&N, with a Starbucks attached, the old lady at the checkout counter seems to take delight in intentionally misgendering me, every time I am there. She stares at my breasts & calls me “sir” very loudly. For Queer folks, possibly go somewhere else.
Well I was looking for two movies since I wind up buying the 3rd GMod do they still have the second and the first there and the people were very helpful
Large spacious store with a good selection. Coffee is next door. The magazine section isnt as good as I have seen but this is still a great store
Seven Corners is a wonderful store! The grounds are always spotlessly clean, theres always something new to explore-- especially with the new arrangement-- and the booksellers are helpful, incredibly smart and generally wonderful people. Alex helped me find a young adult book based on its former sale position and description, alone, when I was there last Friday. I got a really good price on it, too, thanks to the membership I bought from Julia a few weeks back. Nisha, Lindsey and Courtney also get honorable mention for their excellent service and hospitality.
One of the reprise of Insanity for me living in this insane world is to walk into a bookstore particularly one that is very quiet where its fully stocked and people are rather nice to help you out and this I certainly appreciate. This place is great, but very few staff members however. I always support bookstores so Im being a bit biased but this place is an excellent place A to the Z.
Well stocked. Removed all seating to be COVID safe. Staff was helpful
Had All the kiddos needed in japanamation Manga
Had a class of wine but I wouldnt recommend the asparagus because they put too much salt on it. Defeats the purpose of eating healthy veggies.
Love this store. Great collection.
I keep forgetting this HUGE store is here! Amazing selections! And they allowed me to join their club on the spot, saving me oodles of money. And I can share my code (phone #) with family & friends so they can save too! Clerk was very helpful & informative!
Many staff members who are customer focused. Good selection of inventory, especially for children. Prices are not bad.
The booksellers are extremely customer friendly and very willing to help with finding the best book. They are patient and good listeners. Be prepared for a bit more waiting right now with the current circumstances of the virus.
Wonderful bookstore. Lots of stuffs...
Just want a bigger selection of media.
Super attentive staff, great selection of reading material
Specifically state they are open and their hours are listed online. For people that are working, it would be appreciated if the stores themselves would honor the listed hours. Seems like a bad idea idea to jerk around potential customers who drove out after work only to find the store has decided to set its own hours. Doesnt look good as far as getting a return customer. Amazon it is.
Things have changed in the Covid era. The store is different in that things are not in the same ed place anymore. The bargin book, ephemera section is now in the back of the store. The scifi section is now separate from fantasy and fantasy is around the corner from Scifi. Im guessing that there are more fantasy writers than scifi. The comics section( I forget what its called now) next to MANGA, not referencing the Orange idiot, are mostly sealed so no reading in the comic aisle. My one complaint is the posted opening hour is 11am but the store was open at 10am so did see folk walk up and leave before 11 not realizing the store was open. Starbucks is right next door so you can get you coffee and stars as its a stand alone store.
They are always friendly and helpful and it is a pleasure to shop there. We always find things that we were not expecting to find or things that we want there. We rarely walk out without getting something. My mother found of a book that had what she was she was looking for at a great price. When we come back later this week, we will have more time to look at some more things that we were interested in.
Very good place to visit, peak into very interesting latest books and chose something to buy of the latest topics! Also lots of other things apart from books. So if you need a present for somebody especially a child you will find it there for sure!!!
I love this place! There are so many books - classics and contemporary in every genre and for every age. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. If you cant find what you want, the staff can order the item online and send it to your home directly. Theres also a very large collection of glossy magazines domestic and international, on architecture, arts and crafts, wedding, fashion, and many more. Parking is spacious and free. Come in, browse, buy, and support your neighborhood book store! Youll be happy you did.
Walked in and was greeted promptly, was clean and well stocked. When I was looking for a specific book the salesman was able to guide me directly to the location (without having to look it up in the computer). The staff truly seem to take pride in working there and knowing their books. There are several chairs, and areas to sit and read within the store for those that just want to review a book or magazine. There is also an attached Starbucks (no drinks within the store though).Plenty of parking and visible from the road. So if looking for a bookstore this one is worth a shot.
This is a large place with nice, friendly staff. Good selection. Easy parking. What was unexpected for me: The Starbucks is completely separate. Barnes and Noble cards and coupons do not work in this Starbucks. Also, unpaid merchandise (like books and magazines) cannot be read in Starbucks. This differs from other Barnes and Nobles where there is more flow between the two since it is not a separate Barnes and Noble and Starbucks. I have the Starbucks app, so it worked this time. Just be prepared.
Pretty good selection across a broad spectrum. Sort of annoying that they inform you of the great savings you would have if you were a member, but they charge $25 for an annual membership. Would take a lot of spending to cover that savings each year. IMO they shouldnt be pulling that sort of thing with online competition edging out their brick&mortar footprint.
Went a lot when I was little and hopefully I can revisit with my mom. An extremely great environment to chill and read. Starbucks right next door to enhance the experience. Never was a fan of reading, but being in there will change your mind.
Very nice store with incredibly helpful staff. My kids had a blast choosing books and begged to come back. They really enjoyed the experience, as did I. Great store.
Found lots of age appropriate booksCashier is very helpful. Great time.
Always busy around Christmas/new years, but they make up for it with great sales. Otherwise, its a cozy place to go and explore books. They also sell games, candles and other little trinkets. As far as Im aware their book selection is extensive too. Depending on how popular a book is or how long its been out they may or may not have it, but you can always order it.
One of my favorite stores to peruse around. Staff is always friendly and offer great suggestions and they have a great selection of books that I like.
Books! A large store with a great selection of books. Theres something for everyone. Starbucks adjoins as well.
If you need a nice gift for the holidays, Barnes & Noble is the place to go. You find much more than just books: activities for kids and adults, decorations, little things that make our space nicer and our heart richer, gift cards, wrapping paper, and dont forget to breath, eat a cookie and have a cup of coffee...one stop and you did all your shopping. Here is what I got today: a small guitar with a book and a CD, a ukulele (a small guitar with 3 strings) with book and CD, a harmonica with a booklet, sign language flash cards and booklet, two sets of wood ornaments....Yes it was about $100... The nice lady at the wrapping station said: you are going to have a lot of noise for the holidays...true, bring in the holiday spirit, and let it snow.
A book store is hard to come by..But this is a genuine book dealer with large selection of magazines and discount books as well as best sellers. There is a Starbucks right next door which does not accept any B and N coupons
Jennifer at the checkout was great ! The store was not real busy on a Saturday around 11-11:30am.
Very helpful and friendly staff and the space is very clean. I can spend a few hours happily browsing their books and magazines.
Great store with a large selection of books and novelty items. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I love this place and I definitely recommend it.
This is a small bookstore. But they will order anything you want. There is a nice Starbucks connected so you can sip and browse. Could use some more comfortable chairs to sit and talk. Maybe take over some additional space. They decreased their graphic novel area. No horror section.
Where do I start. Thank you for still providing a real physical bookstore with all the magazines, amazing games and toys with coffee service. I hope you find a way to keep opening more stores so bookstores dont go away.
Loved that Starbucks was next door, but you could walk between the two without going outside. You can use your Starbucks app there unlike Starbucks that are located inside Barnes & Nobles. Barnes & Noble only had a handful of chairs and all but two chairs were by themselves so you couldnt sit with someone else. Very disapponted.
Always fun and new items to see and buy. Also love the atmosphere. One of my favorite places to visit. Helen Nelson
Fantastic customer service.
I always find great deals when I go here! The staf members are always helpful
Very good place to sit and enjoy a book with coffee. Although I do wish they have more chairs... My son loves to come and hang out in the children section. Next-door Starbucks also connected to the store via through way. Love a good old bookstore with great selections!
Great this place is still in business. I love to have my morning coffee with a good book in my hands. Staff is very helpful and prices are not much worse than the once online
Needed more atlases of the different states.
Large, nice store. Got lost looking for a particular section, but decided it was lovely to wander until I found it. Had several staff check in with me, to see if I needed help.
I love Barnes and Noble! Always have, always will. As an avid reader and seeker of knowledge, Barnes and Noble is like a second home. Plus, the staff epitomizes customer service.
Everyone working here is very knowledgeable and helpful to their customers. The customer service was EXCEPTIONAL! :) Made my experience x10 better
Starbucks attached at the hip to a really chill bookstore. Browsing through the sections my eye spotted a book called Steal Like An Artist. Great advice and motivation for the creative personality. Arent we all little creators?
Dont ever close! Theres nothing like going into a bookstore like Barnes and Nobel. The store is bright, books well displayed, staff helpful! This particular store needs a handicapped entrance. The entranceway does not allow a wheelchair and there is not a button to activate opening either the door leading to Starbucks or the main door. Must wait on the civility and assistance from passerbys.
It is a small space with not a lot of room to really sip coffee, socialize and peruse. I keep hoping they will move into the space next door. What they lack in space, they make up for in staff excellence. Helpful. Able to make great suggestions based on genre. I just wish it was bigger with more chairs and tables. Even the adjoining Starbucks is cramped and overcrowded.
Good got a nice lovely book
Organized, clean, with comfy seating and an adorable kids section. Helpful employees at every turn. Everything I could want from a brick and mortar bookstore.
Its your typical Barnes and Nobles. Good selection. Only one floor, so no need to worry about figuring out what floor you should be on.Its not usually crowded and the staff are pretty friendly
Books again. Love it. Great bargains on brand new books.
I prefer smaller more intimate bookstores, however Barnes and Noble has a wide selection of books and any that you dont find they can easily order. They also have a diverse selection of toys and games, and they have started back into the music offering vinyls which is trendy but cool.
One of my favorite bookstore locations. They are super fast. I love picking books online, and coming in an hour later with everything already waiting for me. Stuff is knowledgable and can always recommend new books
Staff were knowledgeable and willing to help. Also, offered pretty good recommendations. Place is neat and well organized.
Nice store, good selection of books as well as other book and literary paraphernalia. The staff are very friendly and full of suggestions for great reads.
Clean, spacious bookstore chain with wide array of books and accessories. I find the staffs, while verbally polite, profiling of colored customers with the constant following me around and watching like a hawk (to see if I would risk my freedom and liberty for some books~yes, thats the pathetic mindset!), only to leave me alone when I sat down to read the Economist and Time.
Kali was very kind and helpful when i was looking for a book, and her baseball knowledge was even more impressive... however the guy at the register was pushing some barn&noble subscription way too hard lol
Very informed staff. Love books and coffee together. A cozy chair. An afternoon well spent.
This is a great book store. It still has the older layout which is 100 times better than the new layout stores. Huge book selection and they can order any book you need if they dont have it.Grab some coffee or tea and sit and read.
Sadly store is a shadow of what it was. Still nothing like browsing with hands on books.
Very good .
Great Books! Wonderful Service! Fantastic Pokemon go Stop! What more could you ask?
What a great selection of books and I love how helpful and knowledgeable the staff is.If the book is not anywhere in this big store they will find it and get it for you.
One of the remaining bricks and mortar book stores, Barnes & Noble does a brisk business in books, gifts, stationary and music media. It is one of the convenient stores for gifts when you overlooked an important event, or when you are willing to pay to bypass the internet ordered shipping lag, and ...Have it today... The prices are surprisingly competitive on some items, and offset by the higher cost of some difficult to find or popular titles. Tons of parking, Starbucks attached for your caffeine fix, and a Chipotle nearby when you are craving a southwest nosh. Walking distance to a Home Depot that has an expanded lighting center and rooftop parking, Barnes and Noble is an escape if you are sharing a trip with your home improvement-shopping friend.
Big and popular location.
My special. If youre reading this, you know who you are. You are supposed to be my wife.
Great place for a gift card!
Great location but no tables to sit like they used to have.
Its nice to be able to go in and see a book before buying it.
Staff were helpful and pleasant. Cashier Anya was especially delightful and fun to chat with.
They were okay but didnt have replacements for my samsung which had quit charging
What can I say...I cant live without books and I love my Barnes and Noble. The staff is very helpful.
Good bookstore. Atmosphere is nice and staff is very helpful.
Very friendly/helpful staff, neat & organized layout, clean & well-lit. Large music section in addition to the expected literary genres. I was just hoping to find a section of desks/tables & chairs to sit and enjoy my time, but it seemed that the tiny, crowded, loud Starbucks adjoining B&N was the only place to do that.
A fun filled store with everything that yiu could be looking in a book store and more. They have the wide selection of books that you would expect, and so much more. There is a large selection of games, and the media area has a nice variety of movies, cds, and vinyl.
Love this book store. Great prices and selections.
Employees do a great job of helping you at this store. If they dont have it, they can find it.
Great bookstore with comfortable arm chairs to browse the books and a Starbucks cafe. Reliable wifi
One of the larger bookstores still around. The Starbucks next door is dinky, with tables and chairs from a childrens furniture store. At least there are a few well worn armchairs in the bookstore itself.
Super helpful staff. Found the book I wanted, shared info about a new direction for reading based on our conversation. Too bad there are so few bookstores left!
I really like huge bookstores. I wish there were more. This place is pretty okay.
Glad to see B&N surviving. The store is nice, with a huge selection of books as well as gifts, toys, and other stuff.
Its a two- level Barnes & Noble. Its not bad, just not particularly outstanding.
Selection here is really good. Best place to spend hours.
Good store. They put books on reserve for me so that I could come and pick them up later.Love that service.
Books! Lots and lots of books!
They were extremely nice and gracious to me considering I got there at closing time on a Sat night. I feel very badly that you’re closing the Barnes & Noble in Bethesda on Bethesda & Woodmont Ave.
One of my favorite places to go hang out. Excellent starting point for an evening out with friends, too.
Barnes and Noble is such a magical place for bibliophiles who crave the physical experience of being in a bookstore. Theres not a lot of bookstores around anymore, especially the independent ones so I get my fix when I can.
I love this book store, one of the last big ones to stay afloat! They have beautiful things, the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and I love spending time wandering the shelves, great place!
