This place is pretty awesome and unique… from the food to the decor to the service, etc. The only downside is that the sandwiches are overpriced in my opinion, but they are very good either way. I really like the Reuben sandwich and the corned beef that they use in the sandwich. I also like the New York Chocolate Egg Cream drink. This is only one of two places where I had a New York Egg Cream. I also really like all of the awesome, funny, sarcastic, clever decor that is displayed on the walls… as well as the movie-themed decor and indoor mural.

Loved it!! I got the Wes Johnson to go and Ive never had a deli sandwich melt in my mouth the way this one did. It was so good! (You can also add a fried egg for $1 but I didnt this time...) It was a huge sandwich but I ate it all in one sitting- I was still full by the time dinner rolled around. And dont forget the fries- they were really hot and crispy. The staff was kind, the atmosphere was relaxed, and even though I didnt order ahead of time, the wait time was very short. Everything was packaged perfectly too. I have some friends visiting soon and plan to be back with them so we can dine in!

This restaurant is so phenomenal, and I really appreciate their commitment to quality. Ive been eating their food for over 30 years, and it has always been consistently great. I recently called to place a special order to deliver to a friend and her family, and Julie was SO patient, knowledgeable and helpful in deciding what I should send. My friend and her family were also really pleased with the food they received. I cannot recommend this place enough. This restaurant and Julie and Will are the best!

The places has a cool vibe and it has really good sandwiches. I like the fríes theyre one of the crispiest Ive had. Only thing is that they have so many menu options that youll never get bored.

Chip has been the highlight of my day for so many days, for so long. Ive been to Celeb Delly fairly consistently over the past 3 years or so and he is the most kind and loving person youll meet. Honestly I go out of my way to eat there sometimes just for their freshly made (in house!!) ranch. Remove all doubt you have about the store, its always fantastic,and say hi to Chip for me :).

Been going here for 30+ years because this is the best NY-style deli in the DC area. No one else is even close. Unpretentious atmosphere, quirky decor, and delicious food made with quality ingredients. I wouldn’t order a pastrami sandwich anywhere else. Try the Mighty Miltie—hot pastrami with cole slaw and Russian dressing!

Celebrity Delly, off of Rt. 50 (yes I’m spelling the name of the restaurant correctly) …is by far the best deli around. If you’ve ever been to a NY deli and enjoyed the atmosphere, and superb products, you will love this deli even more. We’ve been a patron of Celebrity Delly for years. We’ve used them for catering parties, lunch in and out of the restaurant and we’ve never been disappointed. Their food is off the chain, crab Reuben, eggs Benedict, pasta salad, breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner all spectacular! So many specialty, Celebrity Delly invented sandwich’s and subs. It’s a foodies dream.

Neon sign in window sets the tone: Sorry Were Open. Lots of entertaining wall art accompanies masterfully prepared food. Great portion sizes. Comprehensive menu always a treat.

Wow! Amazing, fresh homestyle food. The matzo ball soup is perfect. The knish is the best I’ve ever had. Great stuffed cabbage, like grandma’s. Super kid-friendly. Incomparably friendly service. Very reasonably priced.There aren’t many fresh food restaurants in the area so this place is a little diamond.

For me, nothing beats the Elliot Segal sandwich. You dont have to decide whether you want corned beef or pastrami because theyre both there, along with cole slaw, Russian dressing and provolone. The grilled sourdough bread isnt traditional, but it sure is good. Dr. Browns sodas are available. We tried the potato knishes, potato salad and onion rings as sides. My friend designed her own chopped liver sandwich and washed it down with an egg cream. Definitely our favorite deli.

They have the best cheesesteak sandwich. It was really good. The bun was crunchy and toasted with butter and steak was grilled to perfection.

The food is so delicious i dont care if its expensive as hell but yall really need to get your delivery act together it shouldnt take 2 hours to deliver 2 subs

Over the holiday, I had the opportunity to travel to the Washington suburbs and found the Celebrity Deli which has existed for many years. I ordered the corned beef reuben which included sauerkraut. The sandwich has nicely grilled and warm. I prefer the thicker style corned beef which you often find in NYC. However, the server staff were great as was the tea. Overall, it was worth the calories.

Be very careful if you want a cheesesteak. I ordered the OG Philly cheesesteak but received a cheesesteak hoagie. Yuck! Nobody from Philly wants mayor lettuce and tomato on their cheesesteak. I didnt want to send it back and after learned the server thought I asked for a Steak and Cheese which is a cheesesteak hoagie. Very poor having 2 items on the menu that are so similar and easily mixed up. Very disappointed because we always had a great experience here before.

I am looking for the areas BEST Cuban sandwich. Celebrity Deli is one of ten places listed and have an almost 5star rating on these sandwiches. I found a pleasant shop w/much NY themed deco. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. The sandwich is made on a toasted, crusty hoagie role. Really good bread. The meats fillings(pork) did not have the seasoned Cuban spicing unique to the overall mouthwatering flavor of a Cuban. The ham slice was a very thin slice of an unflavored deli cut. The cheese was not oozing in flavors. My search for the best Cuban sandwich continues.

While looking for someplace different to order from, I stumbled across this place. The pictures caught my eye. Im a Jersey girl & the delis are not the same here!! I was intrigued, so I decided to check out the menu (and what a menu it is!!!) I think I spent 2 hours going through everything & trying to decide if I wanted to take a chance that they might compare to home because after 13 years in Va I havent found a single one yet....well, that just changed!!! I ordered....13 different items & had them delivered. I was excited & nervous at the same time because I was afraid I was going to be disappointed. When it arrived, it was beautifully packaged. Prepared exactly as I requested & I tasted every single thing!!! (well, I actually ate ALL the potato salad) It is all absolutely amazing!! I cant wait to try more things!!! I will definitely be a repeat customer!!! Probably in just a few days!!!

I like this place for their atmosphere. Food is decent, but price is good. I like how this place looks like. Their music, their choice of movies and music. Their crew is very friendly and ready to help and tell u a good story. Their chicken noodle soup is amazing. Definitely try the white fish salad. But honestly, it’s all the time super dirty. Tables, floors.

While the food at Celebrity is always excellent, management’s choice to move to iPad menus has several issues and one plus. 1) The iPads remove much of the personal touch to Celebrity Deli, 2) the way in which the new menus were implemented prevent management to readily modify it, and 3) the menu is obsolete since they no longer carry the Spanish omelet nor any product with crab, lobster, or shrimp, but hasn’t been updated. Thus they have created a rather ineffective and cumbersome menu for the sake of technology.On the other hand, since they didn’t block general internet access, I had time to write this sad review using the iPad... How thoughtful!

Chopped liver and Reuban Sandwich were excellent. Tender, tasty corned beef and good saurkraut. Chopped liver slightly sweet with a lot of egg. Carb averse member of party had 2-scoop salad, which was generous.Only complaint was the side of pickles were soft, tasted like some cheap store bought brand. Expected better at a deli like this.

I recently moved to falls church. First visit here, I heard some good reviews from the neighborhood. So I went in to order a sandwich. My go to sammie has always been a Reuben. $14 for the sandwich, ok. Then I saw double meet for $10 extra looking at a 25$ sandwich. I figured it must be amazing, So I was set on that. It was later and they were probably closing soon. So it was to go. Got home and was extremely disappointed. The meat was dry and crumbly. Bread was close to the Heal of the loaf, minimal Swiss, light on the Russian and sauerkraut. I figured for 25$ sandwich it would be amazing. I though double meat they would correlate additional Russian/sauerkraut/cheese. So I ended up eating half of it mostly dipped in ketchup. Only condiment I had since moving. I will say the best part is that their pickles are good. But not $25 worth good. I probably won’t be going back. It looks like a fun authentic spot. But I was wrong

I ordered the first time, was ok come with sides of fries, mush potatoes, onion rings or, it was expensive already $25 and today I called to order, the said no more sides comes with and same price. First time I ordered 5 for family and second time the same.NEVER AGAIN AND NOTHING ON THE SANDWICH JUST LOBSTER IN SIDE THE BREAD. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Food is pretty good, but arrived luke-warm more than an hour after scheduled delivery. Ordered through their website, not a third party app.

Although the size was substantive, the time to prepare was extremely slow, for a sandwich. Ive been twice and had the same experience. The sandwiches that I had were very basic. The fries were second rate.

Had the Steak n Cheese very good the roll is great and a Bacon Cheeseburger again delicious. Our server was very nice as well.

Great neighborhood deli! All the food is excellent but particular standouts are the hot sandwiches (Turkey Reuben is my favorite) and their salads, particularly the egg salad and potato salad. They will let you create just about any sandwich, even if it isnt specifically on the menu. Very kid friendly with movies showing on two screens in the back. Thursday night is kids night when kids eat for $2! Staff is all wonderful, weve never had a bad experience here. Give it a try!

For 20yrs my experience has been Awesome!! Yesterday I was craving the King Kong sub.But I didnt see it on the menu. So ordered two rueben and my fav chix noodles soup.

This was a very nice meal. The meat knish was amazing. The Wes Johnson and Ruben were both very good. Good coleslaw. My wife really liked the cucumber salad. Decent onion rings and fries. We shall be back.

Took an hour to make two burgers while they constantly ignored my questions on why my order was taking so long and prioritized other customers over me. 10/10 would never go back again didn’t even get to try the food. Told me I could order from somewhere else

Love this place! Like stepping into a parallel universe where the food is good, childhood movies are running, the staff is super friendly, and the portions are huge!

Great food but service is not ways on point. Called in sandwich order for pick up and apparently the order was never given to the kitchen. Saw her give them the ticket but didnt say a thing to me. Took 15 minutes while I sat there and she basically threw it at me and quickly moved on to next customer. At least be brave enough to tell me you messed up and say its gonna be a wait. Defeated the purpose of calling ahead 🙄

This is truly a New York style deli. Thick pastrami or corn beef sandwiches. I like to add chopped liver to my sandwich. This is only one of two places in the DC metropolitan area that you can get an egg cream. Its like you are in a New York deli without having to go to the Big Apple.

Best deli in VA. The matzo ball soup is great. The sandwiches are piled high with quality meats and cheeses. And the funnel fries are delicious. My favorite sandwich is the Mighty Milty but when Im feeling under the weather, bring me a bowl of the soup! The decor and the servers are quirky in the best way.

Outstanding deli. Ive tried all the DC and Northern VA delis. This is the best and most authentic. Wonderful matzoh ball soup (a little salty) great sandwiches like the New Yorker and Reuben. Breakfast sandwiches are also very good. French toast was good but pancakes were not wonderful

Breakfast all day! Excellent bagels, and fresh ingredients make for delicious meals. Cabbage rolls are quite nice. Eat in or take out. Wine and beer available.

The Osari Sandwich & the Elliot Segal Local Fan Favorite Radio Host Sandwich are both delicious sandwiches. And this place has very tasty fries. I definitely definitely recommend this place and plan to continue exploring their menu.

I had an Italian hoagie, a steak and cheese, and wings and they were all great. Ive yet to find better hoagies in this area and the wings are definitely the best buffalo style wings Ive had here.

There are not a ton of Jewish delis in the DC area, but there are a few--and this is the best of those I have tried. The matzo ball soup is excellent, and the deli sandwiches and knishes are very good. This is not a kosher deli, so there is a good selection of pork products as well. Highly recommended!

I have gone here about monthly for 30 years or more. The food usually rates 5 stars. This rating is for my most recent visit. I ordered the tuna salad sandwich. The bread was toasted but the tuna was cold straight from the fridge. It could have been like a classic tuna melt, but the warm bread and cold interior was not. Next time I will order something else, since I know that most of their menu items are outstanding.

The waiter or owner (male) interrupted my business associate and my lunch several times to comment on movies playing in the background. He was not our waiter and butted into our conversation from behind the counter - which we were not sitting at. It was distracting and pretty inappropriate. Very political talk. He also commented on my makeup, again embarrassing in front of a male colleague. It made me uncomfortable and I will not return.I used to like this restaurant, but dont be fooled by their new Bagel Sandwich menu with the artisan bagels - your food will be served on one of the four or five simple bagels theyve always served, regardless of how fancy the menu makes them sound. I ordered a bagel sandwich that was supposed to come with an egg everything bagel and was served a plain bagel with no explanation.

In DC for a Medical appointment and drove 40 miles out of our way to eat here and its just as good as the last time we visited in 2016.

I have always avoided pastrami sandwiches because they are usually tough but then I had one at the Celebrity Deli and Im hooked. Everything Ive had there is great, including the unique funnel fries. I highly recommend this place. Try the bagel with lox, its great too. (Feb. 11, 2018) I just had another one today and it’s as good as before. I tried one in another deli in the Fairfax area recently and there was no comparison. This is a real deal deli.

Awful!!!! The only redeeming thing of our whole experience was the nice young lady that seemed to be running the cash register/to go. We were there for almost 45 minutes before our food came out. The server was awful. He never came and refilled our drinks. When he brought us our food 2 of the 3 orders were cold and the other was completely wrong. He didnt apologize, he just walked away. So cold food, wrong food, no refills, and basically no service we decided to tell the young lady at the register that we wanted to leave. She said she was going to comp everything and she apologized. As we were leaving the worthless waiter came out yelling at us like we were walking out on the check. We didnt eat anything!!!!!!!!

Had to grab my own menus, straw and never was given silverware. Food was OK, but the service was terrible.

This place is baller! They have dine in, take out (please do tip these wonderful people), and recently delivery via 3rd party services like eat24. I love this place. Please dont ever sacrifice your quality over quantity, for your delicious business. Ive been going here since a friend introduced me to this place in high school and Ive been a loyal customer ever since. You guys got a formula that works!

My favorite go to for an all American breakfast. Scrambled eggs are excellent and the breakfast potatoes are the best. Im also a big fan of the BLT with egg salad sandwich.

Considering we are in northern VA, this is a good place for some traditional matzoh ball soup and a knish. Sandwich are large without being ridiculous. Very casual, diner atmosphere.
