I came in to get a transmission repair I didn’t expect to have it done for awhile since they have to pull the whole engine . And it was a Friday! They got it completed in 24 hours for a good price and I was called and updated every step of the way! I worked with Scott and I’m very pleased with the work they did and his professionalism. It’s been about 5 days and 600 miles later I’m very happy with the work and if I ever have need for repairs again I know where I’m going!

For me, this is the only place I will bring my car. I called here after another repair shop upped their bill estimate by $60 and Blake could fit me in at the last minute and got my car back to me fast. Plus, it was $10 less then my original estimate from the first shop that I went to.They also have a loaner car so I dont have to miss work as I work 14 hr days and 6 days a week. Earlier this year I brought my Dodge Grand Caravan into Tuffy. It’s a 2009 and it was a return visit. He’s always thoroughly explained any vehicle issues and what they plan on doing to my vehicle if it needs work. Scott and his team were so helpful in assisting me with my car troubles on a weekend. Very reasonable pricing. They took my car for multiple test drives to make sure everything was working properly before returning my car to me. Will definitely be back for future car problems.

They “replaced” my starter, fuel pump, fuel filter. 6 months later, starter died and I replaced it myself. I found the part they replaced to be an original used starter, not new like they stated. I doubt they replaced fuel pump or fuel filter. Total bill over 1k and probably left the shop with all the same parts.

They were able to get my vehicle right back on the road after I broke a belt excellent customer service

I brought my car to Tuffy due to a check engine light that had caused a loss of engine power. Tuffy was able to get me a loaner car and let me know that the repair involved a miscommunication with my speed sensor and gas pedal. Tuffy did the research to find out that my repair was covered by a gm service bulletin and directed me to a local gm dealer. I have been coming here since they opened in 1999 and will continue to do so as they are the gold standard in car care customer service.

They get your car in and find as much wrong with it as they can. After they fix your original issue dont be surprised to walk in and hear you have another $3000 of extra repairs your car needs.

I scheduled 2 oil changes 2 weeks ahead of time. When I arrived on time the manager told me they could not honor my appointment because they had too much other work due to the cold. He turned me away saying We are more of a full service shop and told me to go to valvolien oil change instead. He also said he may not be able to honor a second oil change appointmentI had scheduled two days later for my wifes vehicle.The owner did reach out which I appreciated.

Tuffys really cares about their customers. The owner is sincere and is actually in touch with what goes on at the ground level. I have personally interacted with him and he made me feel cared about and valued. You cant get that experience anywhere else. Whenever I bring my car in for an oil change, they inform me of any areas of concern but dont push me into buying anything with a sales pitch. I will continue to be a loyal customer to Tuffy.

This is a great shop. I came here after another place struggled with installing a coilover kit to lower my car. Scott the manager was a refreshing change from a lot of places as he was friendly, upfront with pricing/expectations, and even stayed a little late after close to get everything wrapped up. The work done is excellent and I will bring definitely bring my vehicle back here for services in the future.

I called Tuffys and talked to Scott & told him my windshield wipers were not working & it was going to rain and needed them fixed. I also mentioned my brakes were making noise, which he said they will look at it for me. He quickly got me in for the next day, he made sure to get me in at a convenient time since I worked. I arrived and they fixed my wipers, new brakes and rotors. Once my car was backed up, Scott noticed my one brake light was out & they replaced that at no cost for me. They showed me my old stuff compared to the new. Scott & Blake were very helpful & professional while I waited. I will be coming back.

The work was completed efficiently and fairly. I dropped my car off with pretty explicit instructions. Walmart tire center could not remove some lugs. Please fix. They called and told me they test drove it. Wait why? Then when I said I dont care about their findings and to just fix the lugs because I have a lifetime Mopar warranty the guy in the phone proceeded to argue with me that at 175,000 miles I dont have warranty coverage. Did I stutter? Life time warranty. Just seemed like they were trying to upsell me anyway possible.

I went in to get my oil changed and a few other things checked yesterday and even with them being a bit behind, I still got the call that it was ready in under two hours. When I got back into my car I saw that they had placed a REAL flower and card on my passenger seat to thank me for coming in. They did a good job on changing my tires and my rim. They were nice and pretty quick! Would recommend and come back again for a good price.

Way over priced. 140+ dollars just to put a tire on a machine to change it. (No wheel balancing). I ended up doing it myself with soap, 2 prybars and a hammer.

Tried to trick me into having them drain and fill my transmission fluid. I did that myself literally less than a week before I had my car there. The service I brought it there for was completely unrelated to my transmission or anything of the sort.

Im in town for a little while, witha family member in the hospital. I really dont know my way around here an woke up with a flat tire, went to Firestone an they couldnt plug my tire because of their schedule.wouldnt even consider working me in an told me to drive down the road and find a different place. I stopped at 2 more tire places that couldnt help me. Then I found Tuffys. They got my car in asap, it took like 10 mins, I greatly appreciate that they could take a time out for me an fix my tire. It made my day an out a smile back on my face, then to top it off when I got in my car, they had left a beautiful flower and card on my seat. Thank you Tuffys! It turned my day around! We went here to have a front end alignment and when we made the appointment the guy was very friendly and helpful. Then when I went to drop the van off he continued to be helpful and knowledgeable. I wasnt just another face. I was number one priority. I thought it was nice when they were all done and I got back into the van and that they gave me some coupons and yellow flower. Definitely a place to go to have your car worked on!

Lost my business to Midas. My wife went in and I had her ask for an email quote sent to me and part models that would be used. They wouldnt provide so I called in. Asked for a quote to be emailed to me and was told to the email doesnt work for outgoing mail. I asked for what part model would be used for a brake rotor and pad replacement and was told they would be Bosch with a lifetime guarantee (a lifetime guarantee on brake pads and rotors) and the part would be on the receipt after I paid for it. I was told that three times before I was given part number BE929H which tells me what wouldve been used for my front brake pads, but nothing else.While I prefer local mechanics over chains, Midas provided me all part numbers up front and an email quote for parts and services for my records.Edit: Not mentioned at the time of the initial review because I could not accurately and honestly provide feedback without a second opinion. They claimed we needed to replace two belts, one being the timing belt which had been replaced a year prior. Upon taking it to our churchs mechanic, he told us all the belts were in not just serviceable but good condition and was bewildered why we even brought it in to have it looked at.

Managers are very proactive in making sure their customers are satisfied. If a mistake is ever made they make a very strong attempt to make things right. The few times Ive had a car there Ive never had a problem. They seem to have very talented mechanics for basic work as well as extensive work like timing belts.

I had to get my water pump replaced about 3 weeks ago, and I received excellent service. The staff was very polite and they got my vehicle in right away and it was fixed less than two hours later. I will definitely return because this is an auto shop that I feel that I can trust to bring my vehicle to.

We recently purchased a 1996 Pick-up so we needed to get it inspected. We brought it to two different places for the inspection for comparison purposes. We were amazed at the price and kindness from Tuffy. Tuffy was not even half of what the other shops cost was. It was nice that they took us into the shop and showed my husband the issues while the truck was lifted. We appreciated the same day service for all of the repairs that were needed, we were able to get a loner vehicle for the time it took for the repair. Thank you for your kindness and honesty.

I have never had a bad experience here. They have replaced my rack and pinion, alternator, and repaired my power steering. All services were performed in a timely manor and for an affordable price. I recommend it for any auto repairs.

They were great to me. To me what was wrong and told me the minimum I should do to get up and running without pressure. Great guys. Will visit them again in three future.

I was a fan of these guys until my wife brought her car in... she brought her 2005 Hyundai Tucson in for an alignment and tire rotation a few months ago. Instead of that work getting done, the guys came back and told her that her timing belt has cracks in it, not safe to drive and that ALL OF her struts are leaking and need replacing right away (they put this on their quote sheet in all CAPS by the way). The quote came out to be $3,000 for repair work that we never would have even thought of having to do. I was so upset that I got a second opinion from a much more reliable repair shop in town. This other shop looked at us funny and said that the struts were not leaking, and the timing belt was still in perfect shape, barely any sign of wear. Will not go back ever again.

Our family of 4 was driving home to Michigan from Glacier National Park when our Toyota Highlander started making an alarming noise. We had stopped in Fargo for the night and hoped that our SUV would sound better in the morning! When it didnt, we went to Tuffy and found out we needed a new water pump. Even though they were very busy with multiple vehicles needing repairs, Scott found a way to fit us in, which was a huge relief since we had been on the road for 12 days and didnt want to add another due to car problems. Scott was professional, friendly, reassuring, and went out of his way to provide us with excellent service, even offering us a loaner car (which we accepted) so that we could go to the zoo and out to lunch while our water pump was replaced. Mike did excellent work and finished the job an hour before it was promised to us. He was also extremely friendly and a pleasure to interact with. I highly recommend this shop and would bring all of our cars to it if we lived in the area!

This past week we had our Dodge Grand Caravan in for fuel injector problems. I know I had taken out a warranty for the van but could not find it. Scott went out of his way to call the 800 number I ha and got the warranty information and found out that what was going on was going to be covered. If Scott had not taken the time to do this we would have ha to pay quite a bit out our own pockets for this. For this we thank you Scott. Tuffys has given us more answers on what is wrong with the injector than the last two places we have taken our van to. Great work. Thank you!!!

Recently, I hit the mother of all potholes and bent my front and rear passenger side rims. Tuffy Auto Service Center has been the place I take my car when it needs something as little as an oil change or to repair my bent rims for the past year. In A friendly, timely, and efficient manner I was out the door after Tuffys mechanics made sure nothing else was wrong with my car. In a case of bad luck, I purchased rims that I did not want on my car. The manager Scott was very understanding. He let me replace my rims for the ones I wanted AND did not charge me a penny for labor the second time around. When I arrived to exchange the rims I was sadly 20 minutes late. Amidst all the chaos, Scott got my car in and his mechanic Ray swapped the rims out and I was on my way in less than 30 minutes. I plan on taking my car to Tuffys for any of my future car needs. Best part of all, their website always has great coupons!

The customer service at Tuffy Auto Center was top notch! My car broke down on a freezing cold day and most auto service centers I called said there would be a 2 day wait to have the car looked at. I had my car towed to Tuffy in Fargo and by the next morning they called me with a diagnosis.The manager called me multiple times throughout the day to keep me updated on the progress of the auto repair! I was able to get my car back that evening and they even sent a pick up car to get me from work. This is my second time having auto work done at Tuffy and Id highly recommend them!

During a recent cold spell (-25 below) I experienced car problems. A phone call to Tuffys and they took care of towing my car to their shop. Had a slow leak on my work truck, they got me right in. Excellent service and customer experience. The front desk guy came out and found the leak while I was still in the parking lot. Took about 20 min and I was on my way. They will have my business and personal cars service from now on.

Had a problem with my A/C belt right before the holidays, when everyone was getting last minute work done. Tuffy’s not only was able to figure out the problem; but also squeeze me in to fix it despite being fully booked. Kudos to the front desk Chad for finding time and to the mechanic Mike for taking care of it in such a timely manner.

I needed a new battery put in because my car wouldnt start. So I called on a moments notice, and Scott knew how badly I needed this done ASAP, so he got me in right away! I had no appointment, no heads up, nothing. He got my new battery put in in under a half hour, and was so nice the whole time. I will definitely be back!

My niece broke down on her 2000 mile trek home from college in Fargo. Not only did Tuffys diagnose the problem and fix it quickly at a reasonable price, they also arranged a towing company to come and tow the car to the shop. Kim and Scott were very helpful and honest. Working with them over the phone long distance from Washington state was no problem at all. They did a great job!

I was very impressed with the level of professionalism from the moment they picked up the phone to the moment I got in my car to leave and there was a flower and thank you note on my passenger seat when I left. The mechanic that took a ride with me to make sure they were addressing the right problem was both professional and fun. They didnt have the part I needed in stock so they offered to have it there first thing in the morning and gave me a loaner to get to work the next day. They estimated that they should have it done by noon the following day. I received a call around 10am the following day to let me know it was finished. The price was comparable to other places around town but the service was outstanding. I finally found somewhere to take my car that I dont feel like Im getting ripped off!

I had a very good experience and am very grateful to them. I called on Friday, December 22nd for an unexpected, but needed, repair and was told that although they could not give me an appointment time (as they were totally booked), they would make sure to get the repairs done Saturday so I could leave town on Christmas Eve. I brought my car in on Saturday at 8am, they figured out the problems by noon, and they had it ready around 3pm. He was very kind and professional, and I will definitely keep them in mind for the next time I have a car problem. I highly recommend them!
