Terrible visit. Came looking for a specific vinyl player a hour and a half before close. Couldnt find it so a worker told me he would track it down for me. I waited around in the store for 20 minutes only to find the SAME GUY closing out a register?? His response was sorry bro, I got caught up. I will never spend another dime at guitar center.... Lol.No one is entitled to my time or money. Pitiful experience personally.
This store is very stocked and nice but customer service on my first visit was just average... i went to get a guitar and I had to ask them to remove the dust out of it, clerk attitude was not the best fitting his position. I would give it a 2nd try though.
The people here were so friendly, patient and kind. Honestly, i felt a bit overwhelmed as I was buying a gift for someone, but I had no idea what I was looking for. After answering a couple of questions, they were nice enough to help me out and gave me their honest opinions. I highly recommend you check out this place if your looking for a guitar but dont even know where to start.

We love Guitar Center. Found a great deal on an Acoustic. I do have a feedback though, it always seems like the staff looks down on newbies. They are very polite but it seems that they are tolerating us and our silly questions. If Im going to spend more than a thousand dollars, I expect people to be very attentive to our questions and dont make us feel silly with our questions.

Really cool staff that let you play Stairway to heaven and enter sandman, they wont judge, and if they do then you wouldnt even notice. Very helpful when it comes to deciding what gear to buy. I bought my Dean MLX guitar from them about a year ago and quality and efficiency is everything with these guys.

I assumed curb side pickup would be faster. its not THIS stores problem but rather the network itself i guess. It sounds like the average time it takes to get an item to be picked up is 7 hours which is pretty ridiculous. Corporate should figure out a more streamlined process. Its disappointing. So i recommend just going into the store to buy what you need.
Just starting out as a guitar player and dont know which guitar to buy or where to go? Think no further and visit the guitar center! They have an enormous collection of guitars, prices ranging from ~$80 to almost as high as ~$8,000!The staff is amazing and very friendly! They were more than willing to show me around and help me pick my guitar! I purchased the Epiphone PR 150 for $99 (its $159 now, got a $60 discount) and I could not be more happy with it!
There was lots of staff but they were more interested in chat among themselves instead of helping customers. Cool stuff to look at though.

Wow. I dont even know where to start. Took my daughter in so we could look at Pioneer DJ controllers which are low stock everywhere right now due to the pandemic. They were extremely busy. I was lucky enough to come across a clearance Pioneer controller that is an all-in-one. It was 7 years old, but the price was extremely low compared to the going rate. So I was able to leave with a much better deal than expected. The general manager went out of his way to personally help me not once, but twice. Joe was also very nice and respectful even though they were busy. 5 star visit. Thank you!
Went there November 25 and the staff was so helpful especially Zack M! I’m a beginner with guitars and he helped me learn all about amps and showed me the perfect guitar. Amazing service I totally recommend to everyone :)
The employees were understanding that I knew what instrument I wanted and that I was in a rush to get in and out.

Every time my brother and I come here they either don’t have what is listed as in stock or they don’t give us the time of day. We are musicians in the area and never have had a good experience in our 10+ years of being patrons of Guitar Center. They recently gave my brother a used and broken bass that was listed as new and refused to help him when he called them to replace it. Lewisville is a far superior location with exemplary customer service. The added 20 minutes of travel to Lewisville is worth it.

Called in to see if I could pick up my online order. Was told my item was ready to pick up. Drove out to pick it up and was told they sold it. Not a great experience.

Ive never been here, nor do I even live in Texas. But I just had the pleasure of working with Aaron (repair tech) at this location, and it was hands-down the best Guitar Center experience Ive ever had.After 3 failed attempts to order a bass online and receive it in the condition it was described as on the GC site, I contacted Customer Service and asked them for specific stores that had what I was looking for. Fast Forward a bit, and I ended up calling Farmers Branch to ask about a bass they had on-hand. I explained my situation to Aaron, and he immediately took what I said to heart, and made good on every word. He got the bass down for me, looked it over top to bottom, and assured me that it was in a condition worthy of being called new. He helped me place the order, and assured me he would speak to the guys at my local GC if anything wasnt right when it arrived.Top notch service Aaron. You rock!
There was no one to provide information. 😔I was looking for some drums but clerks just were literally fooling around so I left and got nothing. Its a shame

I am a professional musician that gigs 2-3 times per week. i bought a used amp head here. when i was paying for it the salesman sold me on buying an extended warranty for an additional $129. the selling point for me was that tubes were covered under the warranty according to him. less than a year later i decided to make good on that and the same guy told me he never said that and only the labor was covered. i know what i heard and as someone who doesnt buy extended warranties ever it was only for the tubes. i also found out that u have to go through a second company and file a claim for ANY repairs as per the warranty. i was misled and ripped off thats all there is to it.

4 the love of music ! I dont currently play any instruments. I went in to purchase a thing that muffles notes on the end of the guitar arm. (capo) As well as to look at the gig & collaboration board I also looked into tambourines, maracas, castanets.Just as I decided that the customer service here sucks this kind gentleman in the guitar department greeted and began to bring aid to my situation with trying to locate the capo.
Ive spoken with Austin and Aaron (hope I spelled that correctly) and I just want to say these are some of the finest people you could ask for in any situation, especially when it comes to support/assistance. I had ordered a 1960 Gibson Custom Shop Acoustic Hummingbird w/ fixed bridge & bone saddle, bone nut, & bone pins cause im old school. Even though its not their fault because the Gibson box was labeled Fixed Bridge (which I still have & verified), what I actually received was the Gibson 1960 hummingbird with adjustable bridge & saddle - which has bone nut & pins but a saddle made from Tusq. Unfortunately its tricky because some guitars sound better with Tusq and others sound better with Bone, but in my experience Hummingbirds have a much better warmth, bass, and mid range with bone than tusq (if its the right piece of bone). So, I called the shop expecting resistance, or a hard time, or at least some crazy process for the sake of process and got ahold of the manager Austin, who subjected me to none of that and was overly courteous and helpful to the extent that I will NEVER purchase a guitar from anywhere else unless its from this store - even if I have to have them order it for me. Thats the difference 2 phone calls made.. the difference courtesy and politeness mean to someone like me. Further, Austin went out of his way to see if he could get the one with the fixed bridge (heres hoping its in stock somewhere) so I could come in and get a feel for it. Additionally, if all else fails the Luthier at the shop (Aaron) said he could fashion a bone saddle for it so we could see how this sweet, sweet beautiful guitar sounds with the bone saddle. Further, Aaron was a delight to speak to as well and you can tell from speaking with him that hes definitely a skilled technician.I dont know that Ive ever had better customer service or support - from anywhere - ever.If you plan on spending some cash to get a fine instrument, you can guarantee this store is your best bet. I would even go as far to say that based on the care and concern from the folks that work there, that they put a lot more care into properly maintaining their stock but this is conjecture. Sorry Guitar Center Dallas, but not only was the selection at the farmers branch store vastly superior, the service is unparalleled, and the customer support ... well I couldnt even get a person to help me at the Dallas store when I visited in person.If youre looking for a good lower end, starter, something in between, or the best of the best acoustic or electric - this is where you want to go.

Kinda pricey compared to some online places but they have quite a bit of gear and instruments. Folks seem friendly and willing to help.
The level of knowledge has really gone down. Not a lot of stock either. The worst part was the lame social distancing they try to employee. Nobody on the place but everyone has to wear mask cant test a instrument without a minder. Give me a.break spent my dollars down the street place with better environment.

Aaron in repairs did an excellent job replacing my strings and setting up my new Flying V with Floyd Rose bridge. After I noticed the strings are a bit close to the fretboard, he offered to fix it again for free! It’s a bit of a drive, but the service and gear selection makes it worth while! 🎸😎🤘

Amazing amount of product from keys, pianos, drums, guitars, stringed instruments to accessories for all the above groups. We were very impressed with the inventory. It is a place where touching is ok. They let you play the instruments and make sure you like them before you buy. Very cool place. I love the real deal. Much better than online shopping in my opinion. You get to touch and feel and buy immediately if you want something.
Knowledgeable and helpful guys made the experience a very pleasant one. Tried to save me money even when I had money burning a hole in my pocket. I believe they helped me very exactly what I need and at a good price. Could have pored over internet resources for hours and not come to any conclusions or decisions on products (and I have), or gotten a lot of pieces second hand at a steal, but instead I chose to go to a place where music lovers flock and they helped me pull the trigger on some decisions Ive been meaning to make for a long time. And I like this location a lot compared to others Ive been to.
Excellent service. I got everything I was looking for . I had lost all of my guitars and amps, so when I went to replace them, the guitar side was EXTREMELY helpfully. When I went to go get the recording equipment. Thats where it drops a star. The people behind the counter were not as helpful, and when I asked to pull the equipment I wanted to look at behind the glass, it seemed as thought it was such a problem that it made me feel uncomfortable. Like they had other things to do, but nobody else was in the the section. I had 2 people helping, and when I found the piece of equipment I wanted, I was asked why I needed 2 ports for guitar. What does it matter? I was willing to pay and extra 100 for the piece I wanted. If it was not for that, I would have given them 5 stars for the guitar side

These guys (and gals) are great. They pulled what I needed and had it ready for me when I got there. Then they took a look at my guitar and helped me with my problem and we didnt need to buy the new part after all. The store is very well stocked. The staff is friendly and very good at what they do. Bought a beginner guitar for my kiddo and called up Guitar Center because the guitar was missing a string and they got er fixed up within minutes. Excellent customer service and satisfaction. Wow is all I can say! Zach and Callie are just amazing. Thanks!
I’ve been coming here for a while for things I need. This staff is knowledgeable, professional, and kind. Today I saw one of their guitar techs named Aaron. He had my guitar fixed very quickly and even explained what was wrong so that I understood how to avoid it next time. I recommend asking for him if you have any problems with your guitar.

I went to this Guitar center to get my guitars set up. Alex was friendly and helpful. She explained not only what she was doing but why it was important. I appreciated the thorough and thoughtful walk through. She basically had it done the same day. I will definitely be returning to this store when I need anything else for my guitar.
Went there just before Christmas. It was great that they had plenty of staff on hand to help. I was in and out with exactly what I was looking for and as we all know the week before Christmas thats saying something amazing for sure!
I rented a QSCK12 powered speaker told them I was playing my music from iPhone. They suggested some cable and adapter I had to buy it did not come with cables only a power cord.The prom was 45 minutes away. Needless to say I got to my location and the cables did not work that I had to purchase. I called and talked to the A/V guy said you need this kind of cable you can come get it. YOU WOULD THINK A MUSIC STORE SHOULD SET YOU UP WITH THE PROPER EQUIPMENT BEFORE LEAVING THE STORE. THIS IS A MUSIC STORE RIGHT!!! I explained I was 45 minutes one way. I returned the speaker and cables and guess what they only returned my deposit for the speaker.I also purchased the damage waiver of $20. So I am out $65.00 and didn’t get use it. They didn’t even offer a refund. They just acted like I should have known I should have received a full refund.I had to improvise my own home speakers and an amp I had.Thanks for screwing up my Seniors prom.
Staff was relatively welcoming than other guitar center branches. It seems people buy musical goods online and rarely visit branch stores. Hence, stores are understaffed and always busy for dealing with customers (a couple). At least, this store takes good care of the few customers. So I would visit again.
They did a great job of providing the technical help, advice and knowledge for a proper podcast microphone and set up.... (and keto bonding). They personal service, free and direct opinions and laughter were all appreciated. Wonderful experience.
I have been taking guitar classes for only 3 weeks here, and I already love it there. Great place for beginners and pros alike. They have a wide assortment of instruments there as well.
Great customer service
All music related supplies available here. Their prices are very much close to even those music stores which are online. I have bought my guitar from them and got a good price for it. I go back to buy guitar strings every now and then. Also their cables are really a good buy as they give life time warranty on them.

By far the worst one in the metroplex. You can walk in and have no one will greet you. You will have to ask for help at this location Id say go to another one F these guys.

I went in to the store to pick up my online items i purchased. I was greeted by Leslie whom would not let me enter pass a certain point if i didnt use hand sanitizer. I informed her i previously used sanitizer before entering because Im allergic to certain hand sanitizer i said is that your policy she said yes you cant enter there store without using there hand sanitizer I asked for a manager she stated she was I stated I just simply want to get my items she started to help walked off and alex came and another manager with pink hair they were very pleasant courteous and even empathize about the time it took for locating my items needless to say Im not sure who made Leslie a manager but they should rethink it bc it almost cost them a sale at a trying time like this i really appreciate the service the other individuals offered thank you!
Went in with a friend who was getting him a digital piano. We were looking around with many questions that were all answered when James showed up to help us. Very knowledgeable & wasnt afraid to make suggestions like many of the sales people these days. Ive done business with this store for 3yrs now. Good people to help great prices & great promos that make it easy for up & coming musicians to get brand name gear. Id recommend these folks to anyone anytime

To say I was pleased with the service from Aaron, the Repair Technician, would be insufficient and very inaccurate.From my first call with Aaron I heard professionalism, expert knowledge and one who accurately listens. After waiting several weeks for all new very specific parts I ordered, I brought a custom made guitar to Aaron for a totally new harness installation wired to two push-pull pots on a set of Planet Tone “Statera” humbuckers, with coil split on 1 volume and 1 tone & series & parallel capabilities, new tuners and with a few electric magic sauce pieces.There’s no doubt in my mind for me to say, save your time and save your money and just set an appointment with Aaron and he’ll discus every aspect of your work order; and I mean every aspect. Oh, and not to forget, he’s fast, precise and focused on his work. He is a “Master Technician”.His work on the access cavity was incredibly clean, tight and very tidy with all wiring tie wrapped and all the soldering was super clean. Aaron will exceed your expectations. Listen, he WILL exceed your expectations. He is a pro’s pro.My guitar sounds beautiful and feels perfect. The intonation is spot on, the action is what I requested, and the pickup height & the bridge height are absolutely on point for maximum clarity, tone balance and playability feel.I am joyous with the services Aaron performed. What a great installation and set-up. Job well done – the first time.Thanks Aaron

I went in looking for a specific method book, asked for help, and both the shift manager and employee ditched me and stopped helping. Don’t go to this location. Go to Sam Ash instead where the selection is better and the staff are helpful.
Great place to shop for all of your guitar and its gears. Very nice people and willing to help with any question you might have. Also the gentleman who helped me checkout without any wait took care of the online offer off of their website and added the sweet discount to my purchase. Will definitely go back for my future purchases.
It was nice and they do have a restroom you can use, to change your kids Pamper while you try to shop.
Visiting TX for a week and for the last couple days I have been looking forward to this trip. We don’t have a store where I live that carries the PRS core models so I bought my first one in TX many years ago and was holding for this trip to get my next one... I walked in this store and nobody greeted us. I thought it was odd that there wasn’t a single customer in the store at 1:00... then I found out why... first thing I did was ask if they had any picks to try guitars out or if I needed to buy some. Guy rolled his eyes and was a total jerk. I bought picks and somehow felt like I was spitting on his ancestors grave for doing so. I made my way around the store with my family and not once did an employee make any attempt to acknowledge our presence. They were all in their own world. I went into the taylor room and noticed all guitars were locked in stands. Understandable, but annoying since no employees were making any effort to assist me or the other gentleman that was in there browsing. He and I spoke briefly. He told me he had been waiting for a long time and no one had come to help him. He then told me of another very large prolific store down the road a little bit. We couldn’t believe the lack of customer service and courtesy. The final nail on the coffin was when I approached the platinum room. I was so excited, this was it... what I’d been waiting for so long. I reached for the handle but the door opened before I ever touched it. There was an employee inside on his cell phone who had opened the door and stopped me from entering. He said “can you not come in here right now? I’m on a conference call” then closed the door... hope this place closes down. I’m still in here writing this review. As soon as I submit I’m leaving and taking my business elsewhere. I don’t want to upset anybody by trying to buy something from their store.
