Fine selection of frozen food. Not enough space to walk freely, can get congested due to compact area. Compared to other indian stores, prices seem inflated for almost the whole lot. And most items and vegetables do not have relevant price tags to refer to before buying. The best thing here is the fresh snacks that are available, samosas and vegetable puffs are served hot and taste is satisfactory.

⚠️ Do not go to this place unless it is your emergency. Two years back prices were reasonable and the response was good.Gradually from the past year I found a drastic hike in the prices and bad response.Especially special occasion items like coconuts and Palavilli (wooden Matrix ) that we use for the Ganesha Pooja which is $35 a piece.Including the black thread we tie for babies was priced high.Looks like people need is priced heavily.

Love this grocery store! They care about selling fresh vegetables to costumers. I had bought radishes that were not that firm but in good condition. The guy at check out counter said these are not firm and not good! I really appreciate that they didnt want to sell a vegetable that is getting close to expiration. Their groceries are very good quality too.

Best Indian grocery store in Michigan, Fresh Vegetables, Homemade Fresh Chicken Curry, Fish Curry, Chicken Fry Piece Biryani (Srikanya style), Shrimp Biryani, Vegetable Manchurian, Spicy Masala Vada, Spicy Medu Vada, Veg Puff, Samosas and my favorite Onion Pakoda are the best. Special mention about awesome Masala Tea (Chai) my everyday take.

A great collection of Indian grocers, snacks, fresh vegetables, Indian sweets etc. We can find lots of utensils which are required for Indian style cooking as well as religious related items too. Staff are so helpful if any difficulty in finding an item. Remodeled several times to give the best to customers. Though we have several big Indian grocers around, Vani foods doing an outstanding job in customer needs

A Big Covid Super Spreading Center Now.I’m not sure how many people went to store since last 3 days. I know few of the vani foods employees effected with covid virus and one is hospitalized. they are hiding the information just not to loss money if close the store. This is a super spreader zone now but not revealing information outside and many of the employees not even went for test though some of their colleagues got effected. Unethical and never care people Heath and just running behind money/business. Becareful and think twice before visiting .

I am posting what I have written to Vaani foods but my e mail comes back impossible to deliver.I have attached photo of the stones that I am finding in your kollu product, I have bought 5 packets of kollu from a shop in Leicester, and 1 packet from Stoke on Trent to consume for medical reasons, why I bought so many was, I gave them to my children and friends, where I had to ask them to be careful. From the first batch, I had the bad experience and, I had to go to the dentist last week to get fixed my chipped molar tooth after munching on a stone. The photo is from the second batch I used, checking by hand spreading the kollu after soaking, the quantity is only 2 cups. Still my husband and I had to spit out stones, as well as a friend of mine who consumed them, who is a doctor, was very much annoyed and said that this must be reported. In an era, where in many Asian countries, sell de stoned rice and legumes, I am bewildered to find in the UK we are getting this product with stones and sand.I am asking you to wash, boil them and eat them so that you will realise how unpleasant and dangerous this is.I hope that you will take immediate action to stop this kind of product getting in to the market, I regret for the amount of advice that I have given many of my friends to buy this product.Dear Vaani foods Director,I have attached photo of the stones that I am finding in your kollu product, I have bought 5 packets of kollu from a shop in Leicester, and 1 packet from Stoke on trent to consume for medical reasons, why I bought so many was, I gave them to my children and friends, where I had to ask them to be careful. From the first batch, I had the bad experience and, I had to go to the dentist last week to get fixed my chipped molar tooth after munching on a stone. The photo is from the second batch I used, checking by hand spreading the kollu after soaking, the quantity is only 2 cups.Still my husband and I had to spit out stones, as well as a friend of mine who consumed them, who is a doctor, was very much annoyed and said that this must be reported. In an era, where in many Asian countries, sell de stoned rice and legumes, I am bewildered to find in the UK we are getting this product with stones and sand.I am asking you to wash, boil them and eat them so that you will realise how unpleasant and dangerous this is.I hope that you will take immediate action to stop this kind of product getting in to the market, I regret for the amount of advice that I have given many of my friends to buy this product.

I have been a regular at this place. The customer service is general is poor. This one time Ive paid with a 50$ cash for 19$ something worth groceries and the lady at the counter gave me few pennies back. I was surprised and told her Ive gave her a 50$ bill. She cluelessly stares at me and says she thought is was a 20$ bill. Another lady walks up and says that she thought it was a 20$ bill too. Friend and I showed her that she put on the top of the stack and then I was able to get my right change back. First of all the cashier seemed clue less and second they simply state they think they saw a 20$. Ill take my business elsewhere. Do not recommend

This goons are selling EXPIRED, FUNGUS LADEN groceries in their store and also shamelessly bragging about it.The other day we bought pack of Red snapper from this store since we called people for dinner. We cooked the fish and at dinner you wont believe the fish was impossible to chew on. Such a embarrassment for us and also for the guest we called for dinner. So we decided to let the owner know by packing rubbery/plastic fish and take it to the store next day. To our surprise there was a lady ahead of us complaining about the paneer(cottage cheese) her husband bought and it was green in color due to fungus. By this time we gained confidence that they for sure are selling expired groceries. When we told them that fish does not smell and taste like fish they said MAYBE YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO COOK FISH what the hell? We been cooking and eating fish for last 40 years and these people instead of being sorry and apologizing they are judging customers and telling them its their fault. Yes its our fault to buy grocery from you. Dont buy groceries from these goons!

If you are looking for good range of selections, this place has most of it but be prepard to pay little bit more for the selection. Not all but most items are little overpriced compared to other stores. Just as an example Cadburys Eclaire chocolate Vani had it for $4.99 but Namasthe Plaza had it for $3.99. Dont get me wrong Namasthe Plaza has few items overpriced but Vani has most of the items overpriced. Unfortunately that seems to be the practise with most Indian grocery stores and they can get away with it because for most items price is not available on the shelf. If you are looking for fish and other frozen meat product, stay away from Vani. After you thaw it, you will find out it smells so bad especially fish.By far this store seems to be the more popular destination for Indians around this area, with that comes arragonce and no respect for the customers. If they still have the mentality that they are just starting a new business and treat customers well, that will be great. I have seen too many Indian businesses go down this path so I dont expect them to change. If you happen to read this review atleast you will know what to expect when you go shopping with Vani.

I would like to share a bad experience that I recently had at this shop.We were looking for paper banana leaves for our Onam feast.Last week when we enquired with one of the staff members, he told us that 3 leaves are $1. Yesterday, when we went to buy the leaves, the cashier charged $1 for 2 leaves! We had to buy 24 leaves so we ended up paying $4 more than what we were told earlier. The place was crowded with people doing onam shopping and it was obvious that the shop owners wanted to make maximum use of this. We felt like cheated. Will be trying to avoid this shop in future.
