Its your average store with average office products. Id go to any random store or brand of store normally for office products, whats the difference, right? HOWEVER, this particular Office Depot is heads and shoulders above the rest in terms of the one thing they have control over. Customer service. I bought a desk for a great price, and took it home to assemble. 50% of the way through gluing and locking and screwing I found a broken part.I called them up just as they were closing but they answered and said there was no reason to work with the manufacturer, they had an extra desk and I could bring in the broken part and theyd give me a good one from the extra desk box they had. In addition they said since they were limited on how many were left theyd leave a message with the morning shift to make sure to reserve one for me.You know you cant always trust such things so I showed up soon after they opened ready to re-explain everything. Instead as soon as I walked in with my desk board the woman in front said You must be Doug, we had a message about your problem, let me go grab the part we reserved for you.They made it hassle free and I WILL remember this next time I think of going to a random office store. Not much to say about this place, its a office supplies store, nice and clean with a good selection of supplies, and prices seemed pretty reasonable.
Hard to find things sometimes with the way their store is organized but overall a decent store.
Bought an office chair. Very happy to find something I could try right there for myself, then double check the reviews (different from a Amazon purchase where I would just have to go with the reviews). Feel good to be giving business to a local store. Very attractive store decor, excellent product and customer service.
Could not get website to work, messed with trying to create an order for 5 hours. Went in to the store in farmington and Tom in printing did it all for me! Excellent customer service by him. Sat there and walked me through all my options and got my order done!!!
Had several pieces of my digital art printed on heavy semi gloss stock and they came out stunning! Tom and Christine did a superb job on advising about paper stock, running, and packaging, and delivering the job. The store is a lot nicer than most Office Depot stores, too. I will take a lot more business there in the future. Be sure to get your job there with time to spare...they do the jobs in the order in which they come in and sometimes have several big ones that theyre working on before you get there.
If I can give Brian 100 stars. I will. Since Brian has been in this location. I can see a major turn around from the customer service to the cleanliness of the store. I have purchasing office supplies for years now, and not once has anyone offered to order for me when an item is not in stock. until Brian came along. Brian is the best thing that has happened to office max, Farmington hills. Thank you so much for all your help!!
This store has many items one would need to help facilitate their daily office needs. However, the customer representative Jeffrey lacks much customer service skills; yet the other staff members are great and willing to go above and beyond to help a customer. Due to his negative personality and customer service I have to rate this location as a 1.
I went In because I needed something printed. Store was clean, but the employee I talked to must have been new or not understood what I was trying to ask. (I just wanted to email something to have it printed, he said I’d need to go to the fedex store a mile down the road to use their computer???) I ended up just leaving. Never had a problem printing something at other locations. The one in Clarkston is really great for printing needs and staff is very knowledgeable. They give you the e mail address to send it to and you just tell me them how many copies you want, pretty simple.
I order a L shape computer table, OfficeMax emailed me on Wednesday telling me it would be delivered that day before 7 pm no one called or delivered. I called customer service an ask what day they intended on delivering the product they said Thursday before 7 pm no one called or delivered. I called customer service again Thursday evening they said they could not get to me today! Then customer service said that the product would be delivered Friday HIGH PRIORITY. I get an email Friday morning stating that the product would not be delivered till Monday. I call customer service and ask for a refund! Done with OfficeMax
I went in with my mother in law to pick up work badges. KEVIN the very, very terrible office manager did not live up to excellent customer service. We were quoted one price from Tim and when we got there Kevin gave a different price and refused to give a discount. As a manager you can do what you want but he was being ornery. SHARON the assistant manager was great and gave me 2 badge clips which Kevin could have done but of course he didn’t. She needs to replace him.
This store has really helpful staff. I do much of my every day printing here and the people are always smiling and friendly.

Very much lacking in customer service, organization, and management is just as bad. I try not to write bad reviews but this store is just awful. I especially called to check if an item was in stock and was told yes it was when I called. When I got there, I was told that they didnt have the product only the display model. I asked if I could purchase the display only to be turned away since it wasnt on clearance, shameful!

Such a bad branch specially the printing section one of the staff know nothing it took me hours to let her understand the order and after a couple of days they called me that the order is ready and when I went there the quantity was wrong so I have to come back after a couple of hours and they acted as if nothing happens and when I took the printing still there are a lot mistake in numbering and pages I will go back to this branch and I might switch to Fed ex or staples
