I entrusted my high school car, a 1971 Pontiac to the good folks of Maaco on 8 mile…I had been working on it for years, but needed pros to do the final cutting and welding on the quarters and the paint. I worked mainly with Joe, but everyone was very friendly, helpful, and honest. I am very happy with how it turned out. Maaco is one of the few shops that still does welding, and overall it was a great value and great experience.

Highly DO NOT recommend if you want your vehicle returned on the date that was promised. And if you want them to break something that didnt need to be replaced. My girlfriend dropped her car off early last week and just got it back(she was told 3-4 days).she was have some gouges in the back right quarter panel taken out and repainted. They pulled off her front bumper for some reason. It did have some cracks in it but DID NOT look this bad. They removed the bumper and tried to con her into getting a new one. Then put this mess back on after ripping it apart and making it 10x worse. They will be hearing from an attorney if this is not corrected asap

Maaco-Farmington wrote up the estimate for the paint job for one price, then included some of the work as an la carte at another price. They wrote up 13 hrs to replace a fender, which I purchased and straightening out the bump. Total Cost: $1900. I thought it was too much so I went to another maaco: Ferndale. Their total was $3000 for the same job and a cheaper paint package. Theres a lot of dishonesty going on. They both get zero stars. My car is a 1994 Volvo.

Took my 1965 cutlass here for a complete color change paint job. They did an AMAZING job. I used to work at a body shop and I did all the cut and buff so I know what a good paint job is supposed to look like. They layed it out FLAT. It looks like I spent 10,000 for this paint job. Tim and Joe were great! They both understood what I wanted and didnt try to upsale me. Spend a little more money and get the extra coat of clear....you wont regret it. Macco for the win!!

I highly recommend this place. My wife had her car worked on for a collision on the side of the vehicle. I was just there to have a dent fixed in my tailgate. They did a very nice job in fixing my cars body.The estimate they gave me was very reasonable and it was less compared to what other body shop offered.These are very professional people and they expertise in the work they do.Another plus here is they do provide pick up and drop off service so you dont need to worry about taking uber ride when drop/ pick your car.Cheers to Maacos Team! Great job and great price. Color matched my truck to match newer 2016 bed and installed a pinstripe. Super shiny with the addition al clear coats !! I get so much attention and compliments are this truck its too much I mean I wanted the truck to look sweet but sometimes its silly all the attention this truck brings but the paint job really set this whole truck in motion. And I mean the truth is if you look really close at the truck and I mean Like really close... The truck looks nice!!!!

All in all these guys did a great job repairing and painting my classic car!! I give them a 4.5 star rating. It would be a 5 but they forgot to re-bolt the tail light and it slipped out on the way home. No big deal but could have been tragic. Also some tape was missed. Like I say I am very happy with the over all job and have no problem recommending Macco to anyone!!

Joe took very good care of us. They repainted my daughters car and in only 2 days. No issues and very good quality. Very reasonable price. They repaired my dent and scratches on my car and blended the paint right in. You cant beat the price for the good quality they offer. Our experience was positive and they have fast turnaround. Terrible work. Paint has the roughest finish. Paint chipping not even a month later, probably did only one coat. Dropped off a spare tire cover to get painted and they absolutely destroyed it, white waxy fingerprints all over it that aren’t removable. Paid them over 1200 for an easy job. Don’t waste your money here like me

Stopped by the Livonia Maaco shop..by appointment...to get an estimate on having the hood of our 2009 HHR repainted..the paint had worn done to the metal....the car also had a minor ding in the left front fender and a few minimal rust spots on the body of the car. The sales person was very friendly and informative... We decided to have the entire car repainted and Maaco also volunteered to take care of my cracked windshield at the same time. The car was completed in about 8 days which was a reasonable amount of time. I picked up my car after hours and immediately noticed there were several round/circles indentations on the hood. I was very unhappy. We returned on Saturday to show them the poor job they did on the hood. How did they possibly send this out as ready for pick up ? No quality control ?Did they think I wasnt going to notice ? Or hoping I wasnt going to notice?I was relieved when they said it would be no problem to repaint it but offered no reason or excuse regarding the poor quality job. We made an appointment to bring the car back to have the hood repainted. When it came time for our appointment we were informed they were too busy to honor our appointment and we would have to reschedule. I was livid. We finally got another appointment to have the mistake corrected and it was done in 3 days. In the end the car looks fabulous and they did a great job... but I did not appreciate having to take the car back to fix a poor quality job that they tried to pass off on us. Also cancelling our appointment and causing me to have to rearrange my schedule was not appreciated.

Took my vehicle back to have unresolved issues taken care of. I was very satisfied. I had hail dents (damage) that were removed and it looks like they had never been there. The back bumper was an oversight on their part, but after they got to it, it looks brand new. My front bumper was repaired correctly. My car looks like a new vehicle. I am very, very pleased with their work. Thanks, Tim, Joe and Brian for making me happy. I will definitely refer people to this location. If I wasnt pleased with something, they didnt hesitate to make sure it was corrected to my satisfaction.This place was highly recommended by my brother. Over the objections of friends who believed Maaco would not do a good job, I decided to try them out. After paying 3k and my car being there for a week and a half, I pick up my car and the back work was not done. My front bumper repair was not done properly and touchup paint on the hood was awful and had run down on the new bumper and other parts of the vehicle. I have 2 bring it back in 2 weeks to hopefully get things fixed. Now I will have to incur extra expenses by having to rent another car. So upset. I will report back after September 1 to see if things are done correctly.

The guys up front were friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that I was told my car would be ready in a week. It sat for a week. Wasnt done till almost 3 weeks. They didnt detail the inside of car. It was full of dust from sanding it. Paint job is rough and dull in places. As for keeping their customers safe....None of the kids that work there are wearing masks. No social distancing in waiting room.

Wonderful work, great price, and nice people. My 2008 Mercury Milan rear bumper was replaced. The paint color matched perfectly to the body. The car was ready as promised. I had a lot of rust on my Dodge Ram so I went into Maaco and met with Tim and Joe. They gave me an excellent quote to repair the rust and paint the truck! My truck looks awesome and a ton of people have complimented me on it! What stood out the most to me though was their customer service. I am huge on customer service and they definitely went above and beyond for me! Id recommend these guys to anyone looking to get paint or rust work done!

They did it again! I went to the shop yesterday. Tim greeted me & asked how he may be of help. I needed to have a door handle snapped back in, a loose door foot step cover glued back in place, & a relatively deep scratch by the door handle to be repaired. Tim took the (Traverse) SUV back while I waited. When he came back first two items were done, & the scratch almost disappeared. (Although he recommended to paint it, I may just try a touch up; I hope that I wont need it, but I would go back for the painting.) My total cost yesterday? ZERO! Actually, I got a handshake & a thank you!So, I repeat my recent post:Tim, Joe and Bryan are an amazing crew. They strive to have customers satisfied and happy. I have had them take care of at least 3 of our vehicles, two of these required carefully-done jobs, to satisfy passing the end of lease inspections. Another job dealt with a challenging Chrysler 300 (body & mechanical) accident repair. They took care of it all!Not only that, but they are fairly accommodating; I have witnessed, first-hand, how they dealt with hard-to-satisfy customers. I hope that Ill never need a collision job, but I know where to go if / when I need one.Hats off! Tim, you run a very good shop, and your guys are tops!

The paint work was top notch...the body work not so much, there is a dimple/ripple and washboard body work...not bad but still noticable.I guess the old adage is right...you get what you pay for.

I dropped off an OEM spoiler accessory for my car that I wanted paint matched. Everyone was very friendly and the paint looks fantastic. Price was reasonable. I found it a bit odd that they didnt call to let me know it was ready for pickup, but overall Im happy. Would go back again.

I went here for getting my car fender replaced for my WRX STI 2017.I got the car after four days which was reasonable.Also i see that my car has been used and all the default setting were changed in the cluster.I am fine with that too.The fender was replaced and the paint finish was not great.Also the panels underneath the fender do not seem to be assembled correctly .The work was not at all satisfactory.You might get a reasonable price but i prefer quality work with a reasonable price.

The paint job was ok but I was disappointed that I found primer spots all the way on the other side of the truck. Also the truck was very dirty to when I received it. The front headlight was cracked when I got it back as well and I have pictures showing that it was not damaged before I dropped it off.

At the best, not thorough and not looking after the customer’s interest. At the worst, dishonest! I will give Joe the benefit of the doubt and believe the former.Joe inspected a vehicle with a loose bottom engine shield dangling on the road. Joe recommended parts replacement (online discounted price of the second item is 33% lower - that would have saved me $40 but that is not the reason for 1 star.)When Joe was asked if any thing can be done to get the shield back in its place, Joe was inclined to not provide an alternative and following by if the decision is not to move forward with the repair then the shield may fall off and that is “the worst” that could happen!After declining the service, Glassman Subaru not only did not pursue replacement as first option, they voluntarily and courtesy our the shield back in its place with a fastener! There was no need to replace the mud guard.Joe lost a local customer.

I choose this shop because of Maaco is chain and all those shops near Novi have 4+ star review. But I only give 1 start because of those reasons:1. I drop there on 12/13, ask them repair dent on my rear bumper, and then paint it, they charge me $4002. At second day they told me they finished, I came to shop and checked it, I found they didnt repair the dent but only painting. They give me a good reason that they those dent is hard to repair.3. Why can not realize the dent is hard to repair at the beginning? As they know, this is my lease vehicle and I need to return to dealer soon. I dont have second chance to repair. They should provide professional solution from the beginning.4. They didnt repair dent, they should give me 400-179 = $ 221 refund, cause paint only cost $179.I was very disappoint with this experience with them.
