My 9 yr old has been taking art classes here and he’s loving it!He says “ I like the art class because of the awesome art you can make there. The teacher is nice and she helps you if you need help. She has shown me new ways to create art.”

This place!! Is such high quality. All the employees (that I’ve met) here are absolutely wonderful, so helpful, and overall being such a great energy to my day.If I need something, they’re just around the corner to help. If something goes wrong, they apologize as soon as they realize what’s happened and they immediately get to work fixing the issue. Even if it’s a busy day, the employees are just wonderful and make this studio absolutely enthralling to be in.(Also, they have a lot of talented artists, and super cute decorations all around, I love seeing what this places people put out!!)

My 6 year old daughter attended one of the canvas classes of their summer camp and she loved it. They provided all the necessary materials and instruction. Her canvas piece turned out beautiful. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The studio is on the smaller size so it was crowded as we were waiting to get checked in but one of the teachers quickly came to get the kids and gave them their name tags while we waited. The classes are not cheap but my daughter had a good time and learned a couple of techniques. I signed up for a few more classes in the next couple of weeks and my daughter is excited to go.

(EDITED TO ADD FROM TODAY( since paying for shipping again and receiving my items I have left this company alone. This is the text the OWNER sent me today after 5 days have gone since I wrote this review. This is how this business handles their bad reviews. They threatened people into removing their bad reviews.) Would not even give this a one star. They will call you a liar and act like you didn’t purchase something when I have the $60 charge. Her employee says we have to pay shipping that day since they don’t offer shipping but they have before but it has to be paid before leaving the studio. Then the owner/ manager say I do not believe that for one minute we would not have taken your money for shipping. Which her employee clearly did. So now we are out all of our $60 since we leave 3 hours away and she just hangs up. Seriously would not go here. Plus super expensive. I even said I would pay for it today just to get our things and she said no. We have been waiting for a call back for a whole month left multiple messages and never received a call until I kept calling and finally got an answer.

We came here for a girls night paint night for a birthday! It was a blast!! Iraima made everyone comfortable, was so welcoming, and helped everyone along the way where needed. They have a great family feel and made sure we had the best time ever. Would highly recommend!

Seriously the best paint class I have ever attended. I love supporting small businesses and if you are anything like me this is the place for you. Amazing teachers but I wouldn’t even consider them that, I came out of this place feeling like we are friends! I would recommend this place to anyone out there. Great for adults and kids :)

The kids summer camp was wonderful! Every day there were fun new projects. My daughter had a really great time and she was excited to go to camp each day. Thank you!

I worked at Hands On Art for 2 years and had such an incredible experience! It is an incredible environment for students, employees, and parents in the community alike. The studio was always so welcoming and allowed me to grow so much professionally so that I could help the students to the best of my abilities. Hands On Art is incredible!

It was okay. Kinda pricey on a few things. My mom is friends with the ower and shes not the best at communicating with anyone, especially her empolyees. My sister works there and its hard for her to get anything approved when it comes to inventory and restocks. Dont really recommended this place as there are other places with better pricing and better qualified teachers.

I finally did it! I took a pottery class--and loved it! Its been on my bucket list for forever. I liked it so much, that I plan to continue. Thanks to the fun staff at Hands on Art who helped me experience this fun hobby today. @utahfamilyfunstuff

This place is amazing!!!! I have visited hands on art several times and it is always great. I’ve gone with my wife on date nights 👩‍❤️‍👨 to paint something together and with my daughters for a family 👩‍👩‍👧‍👧 activity. Signed my daughter up for a class and upon arrival i was told it was cancelled. No notification given except for the poor girl working. Another child arrived and was dropped off. They had to contact someone to come back and get her. I guess they wont teach a class with one student but clearly two students were there and we were told...sorry she is going out of town. Really!? This place does not deserve my business or yours. Think twice before you go here.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The paint instructor was awesome. She was so patient, kind, and helpful to all the kids at my daughters private Picasso party for her birthday. All the kids really enjoyed it. Time and money well spent!

This was such a fun event for my mom and I for Mother’s Day! The owner taught our class and kept the paint night even though it was just the two of us which was so nice of her. The painting turned out amazing and I am not an artist at all! I love that the choices to paint were real life images and not cartoons. My only critique would be that we needed a little more instructions with what kind of brush strokes or how to mix the colors but other than that we had a fantastic experience! Thank you

Iraima was so cute and made our painting experience a blast! We did it for our Christmas party and I’d do it again in a minute!

We did our daughters canvas paint party here. The ladies were all amazing, helpful, and the instructor was very patient and fun. Everyone was able to paint their picture to match their personality. It was fun to watch, easy to follow, and we had an amazing time. I highly recommend this place.

Date night with my husband for my birthday. We loved our time! The owner/instructor was so personable and fun to be with. Our reservation was lost, its true, but she kept the appointment with us, even though we were the only two in the class. We were happy with our artwork, and I was glad to buy a frame for her at the end, as well. Happy to support a local business. Thank you!

Really enjoyable art studio, but be warned: all of the contact info you just put on your precious pieces of pottery does NOT mean they will contact you to let you know its ready to pickup. Nope, youve got about 30 days to remember AND be in the right place before its discarded.Five stars otherwise.

The reason why I’m giving them 5 stars instead of 4 is the paint was very tasty. I was not hungry after my visit to hands on art. I ate so many different colors!Disclaimer: paint is poisonous and will make you very sick. So please do not eat it

Took a pottery class and it was a blast! Our teacher, Lauren was super patient and fun! I messed up alot but she did not seem to mind! I would recommend this to anyone! Worth the price, it was just me and my husband so we got more attention.

What a fun experience! Came here for a mom-teenage daughter date. We painted/poured acrylics on canvas. Such a unique and fun activity for both of us.I highly recommend this: for kids, adults... yes!

Paid $30 for pottery wheel, baking, and painting. Only got 1/3 of what was promised. We did the wheel session, they then took our finished work, and never contacted us again. Many weeks later, we contacted asking why we havent heard from them. They said they couldnt find the items, but would contact us when they knew more. They still never contacted us.

We love going to Hands on Art. Everybody is always so happy and helpful. The teachers are amazing and talented. It is not just a ceramic store, its an art studio in which kids and adult can learn all type of different techniques. Its a great place to go.

My daughter attends the fun art class and just loves it! She has learned a lot about the different styles of artists and painters. I really love that the teachers make sure to tell the kids their artwork doesnt have to be perfect, that art is not meant to be perfect and each piece is completely unique. If you are looking for some different activities to do with your children, or even a fun date night/girls night, then I definitely recommend Hands on Art.

Its been a hefew years, but the owner was so sweet and helped me create a custom project (handprint/footprint ceramic for my baby). She had it ready when promised and now i will always treasure this keepsake.

My six-year-old daughter loves her art class at Hands on Art. She took one of the week-long summer art classes and liked it so much that we signed her up for a weekly class that is going through the school year. Its so fun to see what project she comes home with every week--and she is actually learning! Recently while making a picture at home, she started adding shading in the trees she was drawing, all the while telling me about how to add shadows in art. We have also painted ceramic pieces as a family in their ceramic studio--they have a cute variety of pieces available with lots of colors to choose from. They have tons of activities and classes available for kids and adults, and the staff is always super helpful and friendly.

We took a private pottery class here in valentines day with Lauren. It was just a fun and light hearted environment to be in. We could make mistakes and awesome things and laugh about all of it. We will be back.

My girls absolutely love taking art classes from Hands on Art! They have so much fun and have learned so much! The instructors are so friendly and patient with all the kids and help them understand the concepts and techniques and help them feel good about what they create so they have a good experience. Thats why I have continued to send my girls year after year.

As a former employee and art teacher at Hands on Art, I feel I can rate this place with five stars- no debate! Id happily give this place an infinite rating. This was a wonderful place to work at. I worked here for several years. This was my first job, and I started with the Owner in her garage, teaching neighborhood kids. Iraima and Rob Otteson are constantly working to better their studio, and Iraima works tirelessly to create lesson plans, motivate students, and make the studio more inviting than the years before. I loved working here and really enjoyed the bright smiling faces of the students and patrons who walked through our doors. I recall working very hard to help the Ottesons dream of their studio, come true. Hands on Art is a friendly place full of sweet smiling faces from children and teachers alike, and motivates a healthy appreciation for creative thinking, artwork, and admiration of other individuals. And Im talking about the classes! All Classes, Camps, and Nights are carefully thought out, created and planned for months prior to the start up. The annual Art Show the teachers put on for the students is incredible. I was given a great opportunity to help make each child that came through those doors for art classes feel like a professional artist as we worked overtime preparing their artworks to be boarded and backed and we put them up on walls, only to be taken down later that evening so we could get the next set of students artwork posted by the art show the following day. Ive been able to work in the booth they put up at the Davis County Fair a few years back, and even assist in the creation of the float in the Fourth of July Parades this year. Working here was a blast. I highly recommend coming in here to look around, join a paint night, art class, or even paint ceramics. I know Ill be in soon to paint, it is one of my favourite places to be! Support this local ceramic shop and art studio any chance you get, because it will only better your sense of community. Period.
