The French Market Creperie was fantastic. I enjoyed the Bavarian Cream Crepe and added banana with a medium ice vanilla latte. The Crepe was sweet and was exactly as described on their menu. The coffee was perfectly made. My partner had a Ham & Cheese crepe an added the avocado he describes the savory experience as delicious. The macaroons were a tasty treat later on that evening, they were a little expensive for only six macaroons but worth the try if you have never had macaroons. Definitely a great place to stop for a quick breakfast that wasn’t sit down with a waiter but also wasn’t drive thru.
This was a completely spontaneous stop and Im so glad we did! We were greeted by a short line and a smiling cashier who made us out-of-towners feel right at home. All of the workers really seemed to enjoy their jobs and that exudes into all that they do. The food was amazing and the house coffee was pleasant. Im a clean freak and the place, including the bathroom (mens anyway ;) ) was. Small deduction for plasticware. It was out of place here. Prices were VERY reasonable for quality. This will be a must do on our next trip.
I am so happy I decided to go here on a whim! I had the blueberry and lemon curd crepe and it was amazing. I have been to Paris and this was as good as anything I had there! I also ordered a couple eggs over medium. I know it doesn’t seem like a big deal but they where absolutely perfect! I will definitely be back and I can’t overstate that you need to try this place! I wish I had pictures to share but I was half way through before I even thought about it. Next time for sure!
Ive been here twice recently and had great food with friendly service. The coffee is really good! Ive tasted the blackberry vanilla latte and the almond joy latte, both hot and delicious!! Its a great place to meet and catch up with friends. They are practicing covid procedures very well. The bathrooms are clean. This is my new favorite place to go!!
Wow! These crepes were fantastic!! I had the Monte Cristo and its better as a crepe than a sandwich. One of the best crepes or Monte Cristos ever. My wife had the spinach artichoke and it was also very very good.
So we have stopped in Knoxville for several years to eat at the French Market Creperie downtown. Its a very unique and fun experience. However we did not know that they had opened a new location. This visit we accidentally ended up at this location and decided to try it. We were disappointed. Not with the food but with the ambience. This location is more of a Starbucks environment, which if I lived in Knoxville would be convenient and enjoyable, but it lacked the uniqueness and character that brings us back each time we pass through.I feel the plastic forks didnt help us much in that assessment. Somehow with the prices they charge eating off plastic forks didnt make you feel as much that it was worth the price. The outside tables were a very nice idea. However we felt like with a little more effort they could have made it a much nicer experience. The tables and chairs were flimsy and cheap. A little nicer table, a cute French umbrella, and maybe a Mural on the white wall of a French scene would have made us forget all about the plastic forks.I will say that the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious.
They have a wide selection of sweet and savory crepes. The goat cheese and walnut crepe with the fig jam was phenomenal. The staff were very pleasant and the food came out quickly! Great date spot.
Worth the price! Crepes are perfectly made with delicious toppings. Omelets well made as well. Compliments to the chefs for freshly prepared breakfast. Would like fountain drink option if possible but look forward to my next visit. I for one will return hungry for another helping.
Food is pretty good. But they won’t take call in orders and then you have to drive there, wait in line, put in an order to go and wait for 30-40 minutes to get it. Makes no sense and wastes tons of the customers time. We’re unfortunately going to stop patronizing the restaurant. Plenty of other places nearby that will take out to go orders.
Tasty treat. Expensive depending on what you order. Friendly staff serving great food. Save some room for the dessert crepes. Outdoor seating available.
Very cute Cafe, but everything on the menu is very overpriced for this area. The food is flavorful, with good ingredients, but very small portions for the area. The coffee is standard for the ignorant south. Staff are very friendly and personable.
A real taste of Paris. Savory and sweet crepes available. Everything was delicious.
Not fast food, so it takes about 20 minutes for food to arrive or be ready for take out. Excellent crepes, soup, and drinks. Nice little taste or France!
Very good crepe. Hazelnut with banana😋We will have to call this a cheat day!
Receive your one star rating. You people are sick in the head. Most discriminatory place I’ve ever been to, felt like I was in the 1940’s with how discriminatory they were. These are actual sick people in the head, why would you let them touch your food? (Once the owner complains to this review, I’ll get all my boys to come by and show some love too, so bring it)
Now one of my favorite spots in Knoxville for a few different reasons! When I walked in, I was greeted by a staff member who asked if I’d ever been there before. When I told her no, she took me a little bit through the menu and even gave some great recommendations. When it came time to order, the staff member at the register was just as friendly. I was excited that they had coffee also, so she gave me a suggestion of what coffee she thought would pair well with the crepe I ordered. The whole meal was absolutely delicious, and service was quick!Besides that, all staff members were safe and very courteous about mask-wearing and social distancing at tables, showing me they really care about the safety of both customers and staff. All of this combined, it will be a go-to of mine whenever I’m in the area!
Overpriced.nothing comes with omelette. Omelette was good w mush, onions cheddar. Croissant just ok not lite and flaky as u expect. Egg in sandwich sparse no taste, omelette batter.
Please upgrade your coffee. It was weak and bad. Crepes are wonderful. But as others have mentioned, the plastic plates, utensils, and bad coffee lowered the experience.
First off I would like to say, if you read through the lower rated comments, the responses to customers can be highly unprofessional for a business owner. Many of them are snarky remarks or unapologetic replies to how they treat their customers. I have been to both locations and this location has the rudest service. I walked in and was not greeted. When deciding what to order a girl rolled her eyes because I was supposedly taking too long for her liking. After ordering, I went to a table to get seated then seen my bottled drink was not opened. I politely went up to the front and asked for the cap to be taken off from a bottle opener. She then proceeded to act like it was a big inconvenience for her. I’m not quite sure on how much their food differs from one location to the other, but at this location you do not get fries with your crepe. No big deal, but for the price of the crepes I was expecting the fries to also be included. Also, since the pandemic their is a mask mandate, with a store policy of no mask no service, but have seen many reviews and people coming into this establishment not being accepted to come in. That’s totally fine, but the staff basically yells at you to put on a mask or get out. The owner has replied to many people saying that it’s Knox County’s guidelines which is understandable, but Knox County also has exceptions for children, special health disorders, and etc.. Their staff is extremely unkind and did not even ask these people if that was the reason they were not wearing their mask or even politely asking them to put one on. If you do decide to enjoy a crepe, I would suggest looking elsewhere or maybe even going to the one downtown where their staff is more professional.
Best crepes. Best staff. Best location. I’ve always had outstanding service and food, and I feel so safe eating there, regardless of the pandemic, because their wonderful staff and owners make sure EVERYONE is properly masked and distanced. I cannot recommend them enough♥️ Thank you for taking this pandemic seriously and keeping your workers and customers safe and protected.
Everything I’ve had is delicious and the crepes are gourmet and mmmm. all the drinks they serve are specialty and they even will serve mimosas!! the picture is a lavender blueberry tea
Amazing food and great service. Very clean and helpful to first time customers. Good parking and afforable.
BEST PLACE EVER TO GET CRÉPES THEY ALSO HAVE MIMOSAS 🖤🖤🖤 Ive been going to the french markets for 6+ years and Im super glad they have more locations now! They really do be caring about us all 🖤
I absolutely love this place!!! Their crepes are the best i’ve ever had. The staff is so friendly and helpful with what they recommend. I’m a very indecisive person so they helped a lot!! I also greatly appreciate that they keep their customers and employees safe by requiring everyone to wear masks. We’re still not out of this pandemic, so it’s really nice knowing that there are businesses that still care to keep people safe. If you’re looking for a great place to go eat, this is it!
This is my favorite little spot that i’ve been to in a while! The atmosphere was great, the food was great, and the employees were great! I decided on the turkey brie baguette and it was excellent! I greatly appreciate them still requiring masks as we are still in the midst of a pandemic. They do what they can to make everyone feel comfortable and that’s all you can ask for really. I will definitely be returning! :-)
Very friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, great tea and coffee and even better crepes. Will be back as regular patrons.
Nice work staff. Bacon, egg, cheese croissant was good. Enjoyed my cappuccino too.
We split the nutella/banana/strawberry crepe and the blueberry(pie filling)/lemon curd crepe. OMG!! to both of them!! I cant wait to go back and try a savory crepe!
Very yummy and tasty crepes, Very nice atmosphere.UPDATE: I did not understand that you shipped in flour from France. So I do apologize, you seem to go above and beyond to ensure people get a true French crepe!
Ive been dying to try this place since moving to TN and finally got the opportunity today! Lovely decor, friendly staff. I tried the French caramel buckwheat crepe, so good. Cant wait to try some of their other flavors. My son had the lemon and sugar which was a bit too much citrus for his taste so hes also looking forward to trying something new!
This place was absolutely perfect. While spending a weekend in Knoxville, we stumbled upon this place looking for a quick bite for breakfast. Even though we arrived after the breakfast menu had ended, they still offer plenty of options. Not only was the food fresh and amazing, the ambiance definitely inspired my girlfriend and I to take a trip to Paris one day. Quite spot, with great food and coffee options.
Great crepes and lattes! You really cant go wrong with any item you select on tbe menu.
I usually get great service here and the order is usually exactly how it should be. This visit (which was about 3 weeks ago) the order I placed came out wrong. When delivered to my table and I informed the server. He didnt say much, grabbed it and went back to the kitchen area. He then brought me a whole bannab cut up o .the side of my crepe. He certainly could have been nicer and have made a new fresh one. This was a disappointing experience. Again... usually its a good experience and correct.May 2019- excellent experience and delish food. We brought our Mom and she enjoyed it too.
No better way to have a brunch. Very cute place and exceptional food and customer service.
The staff was friendly and the tea was delicious! I really appreciate the way they were cleaning the whole time we were there. I was also glad to see them following the guidelines for social distancing and mask wearing. I will go back again.
Im not a big fan of deli-style type places, but these guys are GREAT! Went for my 1st ever (hosting) Ladies Brunch, had a mimosa and strawberry jam crepe, and tasted everyone elses munchies bc it was THAT good! Perfect place to stop in for a quick breakfast, snack, etc. Highly recommend!
Their Bavarian Crepe is to die for! Those calories should not count!
Great selection of sweet and savory crepes, easily customized. Try adding goat cheese!! Lots of c19 precautions. Very clean. Delicious food! Will absolutely be back
Today was a TREAT! 🥐Not only did I enjoy a beautiful lunch at The French Market Crêperies, BUT I was joined by my gal Hilary King Kilgore! 😘 Isn’t it just the best when the food is just as good as the company😉The atmosphere feels cuter than a button!Authentic food and drinks made me feel like I was in little France 🇫🇷Today, Hilary treated herself to The Monte Cristo crepe! Filled with ham, cheese 🧀, and strawberry jam 🍓 topped with powdered sugar! YUMMO! Justice was served!I was delighted to try The Vegetarian Deluxe! Filled with artichoke hearts 💚, feta cheese, spinach, and avocado 🥑! It doesn’t stop there! You know this Knoxville Real Estate Foodie had to smack some bacon in there! 🥓PS: coffees, lattes, and espresso beverages are 🔥Follow me on this flavor town adventure through Knoxville!Knoxville Real Estate Foodie!#KREF 👊🏼
Excellent crepes and service. A unique little coffee shop.
Love this place!!! They have the best crepes and those VooDoo chips that they sell are crazy good. Super mask and social distancing-compliant, which made me feel very safe! I can tell that they care about their customers safety and experience. 10/10!!!!
As an added instruction on my DoorDash order, I wrote “food allergy” and asked for no cheese in one crepe, and no whipped cream on another. I did not specify that I had a dairy allergy. The restaurant must have assumed that from my instructions and one of the sauces for my crepe had dairy in it. They put the sauce in a cup and wrapped it in foil with a note on the takeout box that said “foil wrapped spicy aoli included on side in cup—> contains dairy!”As someone who has food allergies and tends to shy away from eating out, I really appreciate restaurants who take the time to accommodate and make the experience a pleasant one. Additionally, the crepes were AMAZING! 10/10 recommend !!
My Mom and I had a delicious lunch and the service was wonderful. The employees were friendly and helpful.
Would highly recommend giving this place a try 😃
This place is a tad expensive but worth it and awesome for brunch on a special occasion. They use very quality ingredients. The decor is cute and cozy and the food is phenomenal. Tons of options for crepes sandwiches and omelettes. Everything Ive had is delicious and Ill definitely come back again and again.
Had the Canadian with the chia latte. Can 100% recommend!! Awesome atmosphere.
Any kind of crepes, great service, friendly staff. Deserts to die for. New fav place.
So happy to find gluten free crepes and vegetarian options! Havent had a crepe in years. Food was delicious.
It was a good crepe place we ate
Unprofessional conduct towards other reviewers, going as far as to tell them to go somewhere else. Business policies do not line up to CDC recommendations which include 6 feet of social distancing and face masks to be worn by those who do not have a qualifying medical condition. Patrons are refused service for not complying with the owners strict (discriminatory) mask policy, however parties not in the same household are allowed to sit in close quarters. Owner appears to be hypersensitive to criticism, going as far as to call other reviewers fake, enlisting fakes of his own (multiple positive reviews have appeared within hours of each other) and making snide comments referring to people acting within their own autonomy as anti-maskers. This business, like any other business operating in the United States is required to provide accommodations to people unable to wear face coverings, and is not allowed to ask for details about their condition. Additionally, this business is also required to follow directives by the Knox County board of health and enforce social distancing at 6 feet, not make excuses for it. Appropriate complaints have been filed under the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and the Knox County Board of Health.
A great place for a lunch date.
My favorite place for breakfast. The crepes are outstanding.
Wonderful experience, great food, atmosphere was pleasant even though it was a little busy.
I loooove crepes, and this place does them right! They even offer a buckwheat crepe that is absolutely scrumptious! Im a sugar addict, so I always go for a sweet crepe, and I have yet to be disappointed by any crepe! Everything is fresh, and that makes the difference! Below is a buckwheat crepe with blueberry filling and lemon curd on top!
The food and atmosphere are both fantastic! They are doing a great job keeping patrons safe during this pandemic.
Always the best food, fun atmosphere, and great service!
Love the food!!! Not a fan of the layout and do it yourself everything, a bit more service would be nice. If thats how it is in France then 5 star because its really tasty.
Unbelievable staff of friendly and knowledgeable people. Who knew I could love French food! #shopfarragut
Great food and coffee!
Chez Magnifique! Stopped here on the way back from a hike. The whole family ordered crepes for lunch. Had the roast beef & swiss with spinach, tomatoes, red onion, and a tasty horseradish sauce; a nutella w/strawberries&bananas. Excellent and nicely portioned. Very attentive staff with seating in or out. Wish this place was closer to home😋
Ahhh the Instagram, blogger, or influencer ultimate spot . Local spot in west Knox. Their variety of drinks puts most coffee joints bed. Drinks range from coffee, latte, wine, alcohol and more. Crepes range from savory to sweet. The spicy vegetable crepe and smoke salmon omelette are great. I had the best cappuccino and chai tea ever! Critiques: space is tight in the restaurant and minimal sides menu item to accompany the crepes which I believe is by design due to serving size of crepes. Overall I recommend and will attend again.
Wonderful experience all around. Was disappointed to find out they dont have a fryer for Beignets, but the crepes were excellent. May I suggest the Strawberry and creme.
Love this place. Great food
Absolutely adore this cafe!!! Portion sizes are a bit larger than I expected beforehand. The lavender vanilla latte was sweet and subtle--it hit the spot for me. Great ambiance and Alyssa was an absolute pleasure to interact with!
This restaurant has been the only negative experience that we have had in our year of living in Knoxville. We walked into the restaurant on a Monday at around 12:30pm. There were 3-4 tables occupied by other guests, but by no means was the restaurant busy.As we walked in, since it was our first visit, we were unsure if we needed to wait to be seated or if we could seat ourselves. There were 3 employees staring directly at us from in front of the counter that said nothing, I mean absolutely nothing. There was no greeting, no have you been here before, even a quick you order at the counter. Nope, they just stood there staring at us for the amount of time it took for us to figure out for ourselves that we needed to order at the counter and then be seated. We walked over to the counter, and one of the individuals (who mind you was one of the employees staring at us to figure out how the process works), a male possibly early 20s, told us to hold on while he did something else.As he sauntered back to the counter to take our order, there again was no greeting, no warm smile, just a What can I get ya? Yes it would be too hard to be friendly to patrons of the restaurant you work at. We took a minute to look at the menu and order 2 turkey, bacon avocado crepes and one cinnamon sugar crepe. I was so put off by the entire experience (and yes I should have walked out well before this) that I did not even want to order a drink.I took my infant daughter over to get a seat and she had inadvertently removed my mask, and I was rudely told you can remove your mask when you get to the table. Yeah I realize that and there is nothing you can do to stop a little one from removing your mask.My mom paid at the counter and told me later that the employee did not state and total and she thought she had heard him say you pay over there. When she started to walk away he curtly told her You need to pay. She finished the transaction and then asked where she could get the coffee she ordered, he pointed to the end of the counter and walked away. The crepes were okay, except for one of the crepes was incorrect (the waitress delivered a lemon crepe instead of a cinnamon sugar) and the whole experience was tainted by the rude, unprofessional staff that worked that day.I say this with all honesty, we have been in Knoxville for almost a year and every place (restaurant, store, etc.) has had friendly employees, good service, and a smile to welcome you back. This place misses the mark for Knoxville and I would not be surprised that if this trend continues that the restaurant will eventually close.Severely Disappointed!
Good food, Id say a bit overpriced for a crepe, but I guess they use really good ingredients! The decoration of the restaurant is also super cool 😎
It was good, not great though. Ive been chasing the taste of mushroom soup and brie baguette I had in Paris and it doesnt come close to it. In all fairness wherever I go, including Chicago my home town I tried to get that with mediocre results. Loved the spicy veggie sandwich although its not spicy at all... just tasty.
We planned our whole trip to Farragut around coming here, super excited as we loved the one in downtown. The staff were unfriendly in general. They then treated my husband that has a disability that prevents him from wearing a mask, with such an attitude and made him feel so unwelcome. He was trying to cover his face the best he could but they demanded it wasnt good enough and that he had to wear a mask to be served. Following a confrontational debate on the issue, we were eventually allowed to order ... We sat down to eat, and all the staff stared at him for the entire time. (The rest in our party were wearing masks btw). We chose your cafe to support a local business and we wished we hadnt. We understand the mask requirements, and ask that you think twice before discriminating and judging your customers.
Tried the gluten free crepe and it was amazing, would definitely recommend to other gluten free people!
Long wait for food but the crepes were good and food worth the wait.
I did not go here today. Google needs to update
First visit. My chai latte & the turkey, avocado, bacon (add spinach) crepe were delicious! The staff were friendly, the shop is cute, the outside seating was appreciated. (My friends salmon and cream cheese crepe looked good too.) All round good time!
Great experience, but wish they had beignets
Hate walking in and being talked down to because I’m a republican and then asked to leave because I refuse to get a shot that can kill me even tho I wore a mask inside
We drove from Maryville and it took all of 20 minutes and $41 dollars later we were transported to France!! So worth every penny!! We bought fresh squeezed orange juice, two huge crepes, a croissant breakfast sandwich, a bailys and coffee and two eclairs to take home to the kids. The only problem is trying to decide what to order! Thankfully the lovely dark haired lady with glasses was patient and helpful in our choices. Make the drive. Leave your bubble. Youll be overly pleased that you did.
Love the French Market. Great food and unique to the Knoxville area!
