Simply the most friendly and knowledgeable service staff there is. Extremely reasonable prices and have never let me down. I can call them up and send them a photo of the motor or drop by the shop, either way theyve always taken care of me very quickly.Great wealth of knowledge in regards to motors here. I cant tell you how many times Ive called them for a quick question when Ive encountered something new such as a funny bushing, odd pulley or bizarre belt.

Took my grandfathers 40 year old table saw to Electrotek last weekend with a seized motor. Though its in a bit of a sketchy neighborhood the guys inside were exactly what I was looking for. They were laid back, knowledgeable and didnt make this layman feel like a, well, layman. They finished the job in less than two business days at a very reasonable cost and now it runs better than ever.In summary, great place, bad neighborhood.

I called and asked if they worked on treadmill motors and I was told to bring it by .Dave was nice and said he was familiar with the brand and was confident he could repair. I recieved a call on Friday and was told it was unrepairable due to a broken armature. I almost tossed the motor because it would be 1200 shipped to buy a new one. I decided to check it myself and the armature checked out fine. I was puzzled, so I removed the brushes and sure enough one of the brushes was shorted out. I guess the job wasnt big enough to mess with even though it was an industrial sized treadmill motor with replacement parts easily obtainable with a few calls. Shame...I would have paid well. It would have been 1 star but they didnt charge me for looking at it.
