This company is hands down one of the top services in the entire Fayetteville area. I live in Sampson county and they have never once hesitated in coming out and fulfilling all of our requests. Honest and reliable!
Mr. Gore was personable and efficient. He quickly determined the issue, made the various calculations and sold us a new ac unit! We are in our 70s and not well, and he is providing window units until the installation of the unit.

These people are garbage! I called to see how much they charge to come see what is wrong with my gas fireplace and why it won’t light. They tell me it is $70 for them to come out. Between that charge and their Google reviews I decided to give them a try (another company I called was $75 to come out). The technician gets out here and literally does not know the first thing about a gas fireplace. He calls someone, they give him something to try. He tried that, calls back, gets another step to try. This was the entire process. Then he tells me they will have to replace the entire unit. To top it off, he gives me a bill for almost $160!!!! I talk with their manager, who supposedly talked with them owner, they refused to make either the bill right and stand behind their $70 price they quoted me or offer to send another technician who may actually be qualified to work in these units. Wen they said the would call me back after speaking with the owner the lady calls back and only tells me how much replacing the unit would be--didnt say anything about the bill. When I told her that is the whole reason I called yesterday and someone was suppose to be getting with the owner and then getting with me she had no idea about this and just said the bill is what it is. These people suck. I’ll go without a fireplace before giving these incompetent thieves another penny.UPDATE 11/28 My father-in-law came in to town for Thanksgiving. He looked at the unit and within two hours had it working. The pilot was clogged to the point that no gas was coming through. He cleaned that out good, got pilot lit, and we have a fireplace working the way it should. This issue was actually one of the troubleshooting points I found online too--Gore technician must not be as google savvy. My father-in-law is a retired city employee who didnt graduate high school by the way--great guy, obviously savvy concerning fireplaces (his old home in Akron had a gas burning furnace so he remembered a thing or two about them from that home back in the 80s). This guy did what Gore could not do, and still charged me $150 with a straight face. They shouldnt be in business to be honest.
Conducted repairs twice on system same problem reoccurred within two weeks. System was purchased brand new from same company Gore HVAC! UNIT NOT SUPPLYING POWER TO THERMOSTAT!

Made an appointment over a week in advance. Day of appointment there was a no-show at the appointed time. Forty-five minutes after appointed time I called for explanation and was told that someone called in a work order earlier that morning and the technician took it. New scheduled time was unavailable but they would call me when the technician would be available. I have several problems with this: 1. Company did not have courtesy to call customer For the delay. 2. If I can’t depend on a pre-scheduled appointment, why do I need to make one? I can just call-in and say send me a tech. 3.I’m paying your technician for his time, who’s paying for mine? I flew commercial flights at $75 an hour. Any delays cost the customer $75 for each hour they delayed. 4. First impressions are lasting impressions. If you can’t make good on scheduled promises, how am I to assume you will make good on any guarantee work. The company’s technical services may be competent but their customer service is inadequate.

I contacted Gore Heating and A/C about running natural gas lines in my home. Harvey Gore did a phenomenal job of explaining all of my options and broke everything down into separate quotes, ensuring their was no confusion on the multiple jobs I would like to have done overtime. The work I have had done by Gore Heating and A/C has been professional done and they did not cut any corners. Debbie has been fantastic to contact through phone calls or email and exceptional at keeping us updated. We are overall extremely pleased with Gore Heating and A/C from start to finish.
I had gas logs installed in a home I was renovating. Jonathan did an amazing job on the installation and ensured that the area was clean before leaving. He provided easy to understand operations instructions and explained the remote. The logs look great and are a great addition to the house. Would definitely recommend Gore Heating and Air!
We have a yearly preventative maintenance agreement with Gore, and our technician, Rich, knows our two systems. I appreciate his thoroughness, courtesy, and organized approach. I also appreciate how he presents his findings with observation details, and clearly relates what they may mean for the future. On Memorial Day Nick Gore came out a little after lunch even after his son had hid his keys that same morning. Nick said he asked his son why and his son said that he didnt want him to go to work. Nick told me that he had work to 8:30 the night before and 10 oclock the night before that. 😪😪 Thanks Nick for coming out on Memorial and then fighting with York on the warranty issues. Also, thanks Johnathan for the install of the blower motor. Johnathan worked hard and diligently on the install of the new blower motor 3 days later.
Gore HVAC installed our new cooling system and gas log fireplace. Nick is wonderful to work with and his crew is professional and clean. Issues were quickly resolved. The office staff is friendly and responsive. The project was on time and we are very pleased with the results!

Got us a window unit to keep us cool over the weekend and were at my house first thing Monday morning. I had Gore replace my AC/Heat system with York high efficiency systems at a cost of close to $24K. The systems came with a 10 year warranty and while I felt that while the cost was high, 10 years with parts and labor warranty offered the peace of mind I was looking for.Fast forward 7 years, the AC is no longer cool, I call Gore. They advise that the coil is bad but can be replaced for $4K, they charge $190.00 for the visit. I find my installation receipts and call Gore advising that the system has a 10 year warranty, Gore advised that is only honored if the system is professionally maintained and I will need to provide receipts. NOTE: York only requires that the homeowner maintain the system per the user manual instructions.I went to the York website to find another York dealer, it pointed me to Cape Fear AC. Cape Fear comes out, identifies the issue, looks at the warranty and repairs the system for $0.00. NOTE: They didnt even install the system.Im extremely disappointing with Gore, $24K for a system with a 10 year warranty that they sold me but didnt honor, and and charged me an additional $190.00 to boot!I believe this is the 1st negative review Ive ever written on Google... Gore absolutely earned it. I will never use them again, make your own decision.

P.S you guys never gave me my equipment back. No worries another company cleaned up your mess.

Im a first time home owner and my home warranty people sent someone from another company to check my unit and they just kept fixing it but kept turning off and not working. I was paying all these deductables and still nothing was working right. I called the home warranty people back and told them they need to send someone else because obviously there must be something wrong and these people dont get it. So they sent me Gore. They came and checked the unit and said it had to be replaced because the ducts were very old and the unit was too small to cover every room in my new home. So they gave me a quote and I was ok lets do it. The only complaint I have is that they had to order some parts and it took them about two weeks to start the job. Once they started they did a job well done. Unfortunately when they were in the process of putting in my unit part of the ceiling in my living room and my bedroom fell down. But Gore immediately took care of the problem and had someone come and replace the ceiling right away. Their workers were really great and helpful and very friendly. I would recommend Gore to anyone. Thank you Nick for helping us, it was a pleasure.

This is why I am giving Gore Heating and AC 2 Stars. Customer Service! I had to get a new heating and cooling system installed which wasn’t cheap. When Nick came to us he informed me that I would get a new thermostat (Ecobee) with the installation, duct work would be replaced because the old one didn’t have any insulation (and 15 Years Old) and a new door installed to access the unit.Long story short, only 1 out of 3 of his promises were fulfilled and that was only because I was there to notice that the same 15 year old duct work was about to be reused on my new unit!Honestly, I don’t think they prepared for this installation. Even though It took approximately a little over 3 weeks to get the installation scheduled which was due to lack of communication on their part.Since the installation, I have reached out about my refund for the door that I was charged for upfront and my new thermostat. But my text messages and phone calls were never returned.This is what happens when companies get their money upfront I guess.
I was introduced to Gore Heating and Air about a year ago during the build out of my bakery. Having had some bad experiences with another heating and air company in town, I had no real expectation from this company. They changed my mind on that the first day they were on the job! Their crews are wonderful! They are respectful of women and take pride in the work that they are doing. Theyre prices are fair and they even went above and beyond to help me move some of my heavy bakery equipment. My AC at home went out last week and, of course, I got them out there to check and replace it. I will be a customer for life. Thanks for everything, guys!
During one of the hottest times of the year I came home from work and it was 88 degrees in my house! Gore Heating & Air was able to squeeze me into their very busy schedule the very next morning and took care of the problem. So thankful they were able to help me!! They did a GREAT job!!
My insurance company paid the company to make repairs in April. (The system is under warranty, but, unlike what the company said when it put the unit in, labor is not.) Its July and I still have no AC. Yes, thats three months. Gore claimed to replace parts that were not replaced. The company claimed to conduct repairs that were not conducted. The tech damaged my system (for example, stripping all the screws out of the fan housing). The insurance company had to hire another company to fix the initial problem and the additional damage Gores tech did. Avoid this company at all costs. Im a disabled vet suffering with my dogs with no AC and a 100-degree heat index.
We should have read some reviews before hiring them. Awful craftsmanship, ridiculously slow when fixing their mess, the wrong unit was installed, then after finally installing the second and right one, the unit leaked all over resulting a damaged ceiling less than 10 weeks after installation. Save yourself time, money and headache, go somewhere else. Better business bureau is next.
Have bought systems from Gore A/C & Heating before and going to purchase another new one plus a tankless water heater. Nicolas Gore is a very honest, friendly, and down to earth businessman. Great people working with him; great and timely service.
My landlord used these guys about a 1 1/2 ago. It was a absolute nightmare. In the end of it they replaced a fan motor that was not bad. It was just the capacitor that was bad. I took picture of the motor with my meter on it during fire up and while it was running in case my landlord wanted to take them to court because I had the proof the motor wasnt bad but in the end he just paid the money. The Air went out again this year well against what I told my landlord he called gore again. Well they came out and quoted almost 2200 to repair it and 7500 for a new unit. I called Blantons to come and look at it. They quoted 400 to fix the unit and 6200 to replace it. Well they repaired the unit and it works great now. If your going to call these guys make sure you get a second opinion. It could save you Thousands of dollars
Friendly, professional, and quick! Our A/C went out at a house we were renting and the company my property manager said were coming left us high and dry. Contacted Gore and they sent a team out the same day within just a few hours and had us back in business shortly upon arrival. So thankful for their team; no a/c with an infant is no fun!
Even though we are outside their usual service area, we did get help for our balky gas fireplace. The cost was better than half of what the fireplace repair people in Sanford wanted to charge. Nick was a good guy- competent and kind.

Our AC went out and we needed a new compressor. Tyler came out and was really nice he even fixed our fire place which was not part of the call but he took the extra time anyways. kristin was great following up with us along the way to let us know when they would be out too which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend them to someone else.
Harvey put in a geothermal system in my home a few years ago to replace an oil system and I have been very pleased with its operation and energy savings! Geothermal was new to me at the time and they were always very quick to address my questions. They have provided excellent routine checkups to keep it operating at peak efficiency, and recently when I thought the system had a problem, they came out the very next day (a Saturday) to check it out. It turned out that my child had blocked a major upstairs output vent and had also turned the upstairs thermostat from 78 to 68 on a 100-degree day. My system was fine! Harvey and his staff want to please you and are top notch in my opinion! Roger.
Worst, most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. I was deployed to Afghanistan when the AC unit went out in my home. It was August and my home was 100 degrees with my wife and 2 year old son in the home. They made appointment after appointment and wouldnt show up. Finally my wife after a dozen phone calls, was able to speak with the owner. (Keep in mind we had already paid them.) Aftwr my wife explained the situation to him he told said its not my problem, we will be out there when we can. So not ever give your business to these people. Worst experience ever.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I had to use 2 half days of vacation(8 hours) and still know ac. Keep getting we didnt get the part and we got the wrong part Now we cant send a tech because it is raining. Bill has been paid for almost a week and yet the problem is still there. Will never use this company again and I will tell as many people as I can not to use them. I bet if they sat home with kids and no ac it wouldnt take a week to fix.

These guys are the best!!! Gore Heating and Air installed and services all of my units at home and in my business. They also maintain the gas logs and tankless hot water heater that they installed in my home. Nobody moves fast enough when man made things break down, but, these guys come close. Nick, his dad, and all the employees are super polite and caring people who will listen to your concerns and make sure that the job is done correctly. And (this is the key) they stand behind their work.
Our air conditioner went out yesterday evening. We called the company and they sent a technician out this morning. He had our air up and running within 30 minutes. Grateful for their expediency in this hot weather.
I am not sure why there are complaints with regards to this company, but I do know that if you call, they will come, and rectify any issues. Our parts were replaced, freon was added, and the system works. We have a mini split, and our upstairs unit wasnt blowing cold air. Our tech properly called the manufacturer, since it is required by ALL technicians servicing an HVAC unit [FYI] regardless of your accreditation/licensing, and completed the repairs. There were no guarantees that the repair would hold since of course its a machine and out of total human control, but its still staying cool. Gore didnt install our unit, but they took care of it as if it was one of their own.
Excellent experience...gave me several options to choose from. Thats how I would expect professionals to be.Update: After they gave me options to choose from during the estimate, they could not complete the option I chose. They went with the option that was said to be not a good option, during the estimate. After the dryer vent was installed, the lint clogged up their plastic, flimsy, grated vent cover that they installed. I called back and asked if they had a different cover to provide seeing it was getting clogged with lint, the response I received was that the one supplied was the only one that they knew of...so I went on Amazon and purchased the one I was asking them about...works excellent! I also told them that while cutting through my sheetrock, they went through the wall and cut into my daughters room. I was told that they would have someone out to take a look at it...never happened.

Our HVAC system went out during a cold snap and a representative from Gore Heating was at our home that afternoon. After obtaining two estimates, a decision was made to work with the teammates of Gore Heating due to the professionalism and competitive pricing of this company. I serve in the Army and was unable to be at home during the install. My wife informed me that the technicians were professional, timely, and took the time and effort to explain the details of our new system. Our family is extremely happy and would, without hesitation, recommend this company.

Fantastic. Last night discovered water coming from the ceiling in the formal dining room; thought it might be the new AC unit from last July ; called Gore Heat and AC, and within one hour the tech arrived ; it was not the AC unit / the tech then checked the filters and the whole unit; Nick Gore followed up with me last night and then this am the same fantastic tech came back to the house early and replaced one of the major large filters for the extra filtration system; called their office and staff always super nice, professional and always call me back for scheduling etc. Company fantastic fantastic fantastic,
We noticed a funny noise coming from our AC unit around dinner time. First thing the next morning we called Gore Heating & Air, they immediately sent a technician to work on the problem. The issue Was resolved by lunchtime. We were very happy with the level and the value of service as well as the warranty on the work that was provided. Will be using again if/when the need arises!

Extremely unsatisfied from the very start!Summary:1. Intentionally lied to me and my home warranty2. Tried to trick me out of an additional $18003. Charged me for equipment and services they did not perform4. Left my carpet permanently damagedMy Furnace went out and the original service provider that came out told me to tell my home warranty company to get another service provider as they would not be able to install for several weeks so I ended up using Gore Heating & Air.From the start the tech that came out gave his recommendation about what I would need due to it being an old house. I told him that Im not looking to pay for all this stuff and I just want the furnace replaced since the home warranty will pay for it. This tech intentionally lied to me and the home warranty with their quote saying that Lafayette code will require me to pay $1800 out of pocket to replace all my duct-work since its not covered by the home warranty. I got second opinions and found this not to be true.At this point in time i could not use another service provider as the home warranty has received their quote and Im locked in to using them. I have to call and tell them that Im not paying this additional charge if I dont have to and they make me wait a day for a call back and tried to give me a run around until I had to tell them, Its not up to me to prove to you its not in the code, its up to you to prove me that it is and they made me wait another day and finally agreed that I didnt have to pay this.I believe this caused an issue with them because I confirmed when the new equipment from the home warranty company arrived and they still took 2 weeks until they finally came out to install it and still had to return the next day to finish.They charged me $45 for a CO detector, which I already have 2 installed in the house, THAT THEY DIDNT EVEN INSTALLThey charged me $275 for a sheet metal/Split system Modification which doesnt make any since and I see no evidence of it in my maintenance closet.And on top of all that the techs, which were good techs and took every precaution to not mess up my carpet have permanently damaged it beyond repair!!!! after vacuuming and steam cleaning it will have to be replaced!!!Terrible liars just out for your money. poor service and terrible ethics!

My home warranty company use them. They told them my evaporate cord was bad and I need a new unit because it couldnt be repair. After calling another company to check my system . The only thing that was wrong is I need a thermostat wasnt working and drain line needed to be clean out. My system is working just fine. This company is a rip off. Dont use them!
My experience wasnt recent but I dealt with this company one time and wont ever again. I didnt appreciate how rude the lady answering the phone was. I told her that we were getting billed through the insurance company for the trade service fee and she said that we had to pay the technician and was very rude about it. We had to call and the insurance company and have them call and tell her. Then, the tech comes out and says that it will cost $100 for repairs. Next thing I know, it went from $100 to $185. This happened months ago but I had to post about my unpleasant experience. Rude and unprofessional staff

Nick from Gore was super helpful, very nice, and honest. My unit is only 2 years old. Someone from Blantons told me the coil was installed backwards and it would cost about $2,000 to repair and claimed the pan was cracked. I called Gore to come take a look for a 2nd opinion and the only thing wrong was a pipe had popped loose. Took a few seconds to repair. Gore took pictures and explained everything to me. I highly reccomend using Gore!
Warning: Rip off and poor customer service!!!!! Gore Heating & Air-Do not do business with them! Called for them to service my fireplace: 24 mins worth of work $181.17 to blow off the logs w/ nitrogen. This was after I was told the at the point of making the appointment that the call would be $70 service call and additional for any parts. NO PARTS, 24 mins of work and a bill for $181. Talked w/ owner of business who was extremely rude (Harvey Gore) stated if I didnt want to pay the bill he would turn me over to collections. Also told me that he may have made out ahead on this one (me), but he may loose on the next one. I have never been spoken to in such a manner. Then proceeded to tell me, Well, at least Im not charging you for the guy hes training! Do not do business with these people... they will mislead and treat you as if they have no concern for you return business. Mr. Gore was rude, treated me as if I was a child w/ no common sense. Worst customer experience Ive had...

Where to start?? This company is one of the best companies I have had the privilege of working with. They were very quick getting to the house, finding the problem, and fixing it( on a Saturday, emergency maintenance situation) . super nice and friendly. Nick even had his young son with him. Nick was Super professional and easy to talk to.l If your having problems or just simply looking for a new AC service then Gore heating and air is the right choice. I would never in a million years let my family or even friends go to someone else for their heating and air services./ you are crazy if you read this review and still choose some other AC service for your home. I promise you will have issues and eventually be like oh i should have listened to that review about Gore heating and air. I feel F@%$ing stupid .... seriously thought, THEY ARE AWESOME!
I had a problem with my thermostat and called Gore. Within twenty minutes Rich was at my house ready to fix the problem. He was very helpful and showed me what was wrong and reprogrammed the controller.

Dont waste your time for them to service your gas logs....you can do a better job yourself with your vac. All the service man did was brush the dust off the gas logs with a paint brush and check our gas tank for leaks. Didnt even vac the gas logs, just dusted them off. ALL THIS FOR 348.00. Less than thirty mins.

Outstanding Company with great service!!! I was in need of a ductless system for my sunroom and a new heat pump for my house. I called Gore Heating &A/C and they quickly scheduled an appointment and gave me a detailed estimate. They finished installing my heat pump in one day ensuring my family had heat. From start to finish this company was a class act. Workers and technicians were prompt and extremely professional. I have never been more satisfied with my new Trane, and look forward to my new savings. But what I really enjoy is my new Mitsubishi Mini Split in my sunroom, where we can now use this space in the winter. It’s nice to know there are still companies in Fayetteville that put the customer first.
