Went in today to buy a keyboard. One rep asked me if I needed assistance. I was still trying to decide. After I made up my mind two reps COMPLETELY IGNORED ME. The one rep that did not was training a new associate. To her I say GREAT JOB!! To the other two.... YOU NEED TRAINING. NEVER attempt to count a perspective customers money. Treat every guess as though they were a millionaire. You two embarrassed your company. Ask yourselves WHY?BTW I did in fact buy a keyboard and will buy a bench and stand when it arrives at the store
These stores are a fantastic argument for ordering stuff online. Only the most basic beginner supplies in a giant store full of overpriced low quality junk. I miss real music stores that served professional musicians.
Everything was cool until I declined the Pro Protection which was over $210, which was about 36% of the product price, which is really insane if you can just do the math while standing. So I declined the jack, all the smiles disappeared, and the staff started treating my wife and I like we owed them child support or something.
Nick is amazing, he is knowledgeable and very patient. He has an obvious passion for music and instruments. I am very grateful we met him. Thank you
Customer service was great. Did an outstanding job explaining the cables needed for my sound system.
Used Gear line needs to be abolished. I called in about ordering a used keyboard, condition: good, that was in another state. Funny Note, I haven’t found a legend/key that tells what their definition of conditions is. Anyway, on the phone I was told the shipping would be free if I ordered in the store, to the store for pickup. After arriving I was told that was incorrect, I still had to pay shipping. Annoying, but sure.A few days later, keyboard arrives at the store. The box looks like it’s been through the ringer. It looks like it was so old it broke open and they wrapped it with tape till it stayed shut. The employee helped me get it to the door (Thank you) and said if there’s any issue with it (likely) just bring it back before 30 days.I get it home and there’s no power supply in the box, there is a key with a broken action, sitting lower than the rest, and about ten of the keys squeak loudly. I would be willing to roll with it if I could turn on. Disappointed in the whole process and the wasted time, I returned it to the store. I got the price of the keyboard back without issues but the $22-25 I had to pay for shipping didn’t get refunded. I understand why, but it was just a very un-fun way to spend about 4-6 hours of my time (3 trips and I live just outside town) and 25 bucks plus the gas.I’m giving 3 since I have bought some things new from them without problems. But it was a pretty terrible experience this time.
I dropped my new guitar off for a initial setup. I was told they currently have a week to two week turn around time. Theyve had my guitar for three weeks. I called to find out the status. Long story short, the tech hasnt been at work for over a week and they have no time frame as to when he will be returning. I will be picking my guitar up and taking my business elsewhere. It would of been nice to get a phone call. Not very professional.
Excellent customer service. Good selection of axes and amps. Good prices.
The best music supplies around ..There keyboards are outstanding I Love this place
Very well stocked eager to help you fine what you need enjoy the music guitars organ electric drums speakers PA heads and so much more cables and guitar strings
No one helped me until I asked for help, but I realized the employees for that night seem very shy introverts. Which is ok once I asked for help they where really sweet and helped me out.
They had a wireless mike for the gym. It works awesome!
Nash did an awesome job helping me today. He had an awesome attitude and took the time to fix my drum when he was about to get off. Thanks Earle Kemp
Its got all u need for a musician or DJ but the 1st employee was no help.. he had a friend in the store and had rather talk to him than help my husband
Very helpful and friendly folks
Only good music store in town aside from Edwards music.Play any guitar you want, financing, guitar lessons, recording services, you should go!
Great customer service and very nice employees.
Unfortunately i didnt have pleasant experience with this location. I purchased the guitar which was advertised coming with case: received with no case. Called store many times, was promised case to be shipped right away by manager but they never sent one. Multiple calls to the store. no response from them.
Good place to shop.
Wanted to buy 4 qsc 18 in powered subs at 1600 ...a piece no one acted like they wanted to help ..so I waited 20 mins still no help so Edwards music here i come...
Bad. So bad I wont go back.
Bad experience with personal, then after waiting 5 days for it, it was wrong fit,, had to order off Amazon
Nice and clean. Customer service was great. I was visiting from Alabama.
Excellent service. Nice environment. The staff there is always so helpful.
Good enough gear, wish they had a better selection of pedals to try out.
The employees are very helpful. They guide you to what u come in there for n make sure u get it at a good price.
Are you kidding me! The place is full of guitars! The staff seems to stay busy moving things around and stocking. Some give bad reviews because they are not approached. In a music store, they assume you want to walk around, look at stuff, pick up an instrument and play it. If you need assistance, ask. They will take care of you. You get back what you give, and if you dont, move along. Life is short. Remember, this pandemic has wreaked havoc on the music industry like everything else. Remember...🎶 you cant always get what you want, but you just might find, you get what you need🎶 ( 👄 Rolling Stones)
Staff is hit or miss with helping you. Jared and Joe are great. Cant say for anyone else. No one even says hello when you walk in.
We stop in here all the time for my girlfriends son. Knowledgeable and helpful staff everytime.
If you like music this is your place for all music lover, but pay attention when you get charge they overcharge when you bring to there attention, there is no apology, and this is not the first time, twice I been there twice I been overcharged, my thought they scan how they make mistake dont know but be aware .
Worst Guitar Center that I have ever been to. Came in on Sunday stayed for over half a hour attempting to but Studio equipment. Four employees and a massive amount of freight sitting on the floor. No one talked with me or even said hello. I cam back on Friday to give it another chance. Same exact thing happened except the employees today are playing like little kids. Well you lost over 4 grand in sales. I just finished the order for Amazon and it came to 4,242.89. I guess someone else will profit.
I went there before and i was making songs on the piano i will go there if you need a good piano or something else
Close to the best drive thru totally great service .
I went in to figure out if i had taken old lessons, but the whole time i felt as if the woman working with me, pat, was assuming i was trying to take advantage when i just wanted help. she made a very distasteful joke to me about trying to get free lessons when i was only trying to set my old ones straight. the man at the front who greeted me and helped me over was very sweet, though!
Ordered a amp online available at this location. I called before making the purchase to make sure it was there and was told it was available on 9/27/2020. Waited 4 days for it to process so I called to make sure it was going to be shipped (9-31-2020) and was assured the date would be 10/5/2020 and then the ordered was cancelled today 10-1-2020. Took my money and now I have to wait almost a week for a refund. Just got a new electric guitar and been waiting to play it, but now I gotta wait longer. Im sure it wasnt the employees fault, but the situation is annoying. Had to call corporate to get the situation settled.
You were my place, a lot of good memories buying or just browsing. No more though. I get social distancing but when the dude at the door seats there and plays on his phone while people walk out and no one goes in, you are just losing money.
Excellent service.
Amazing experience with even better employees that are willing to go the extra mile to help you. I honestly couldnt have made my purchase without them, but they made it easy to say the least. Shout out to Troy and his to goof balls that made buying a keyboard a very pleasant purchase.
I just recently bought a bass guitar for my birthday using my birthday money. I went to Guitar Center to get an amp and Dave one of the workers there was a really big help. He was kind to my mom and I while we browsed the store to find the right amp. He was great at explaining what we need and made good conversation. Overall Dave made us feel comfortable and welcome, it was nice of him to carry the amp to our car. We will be shopping there again and definitely reccomend the store for beginners who need alittle guidance.
I just wanted to say that the tech named David that works at the Guitar Center in Fayetteville did an awesome job helping my son and fixing his guitar. Which all customer service was as great as his
Knowledgeable staff, great prices, if its music they can do it!!
Great Store Would Give 5 Stars But There Online Order Same Day Pickup Is Horrible! At This Store, Same Day Pickup Is Actually 3-4 Day Pickup Unless, You Go To The Store Yourself And Say Hey! I Purchased A Online Order For Same Day Pickup & Then, 9 Times Out Of 10 You’ll Get The Run Around About “Its Processing” ... So Your Better Off Just Going To The Store & Picking It Up Yourself.
One used guitar and very thin selection of new
Every experience I have had, has been exactly what youd expect. Professional and informative. Its a little on the pricey side but Im a firm believer in you get what you pay for.
Insanely helpful and friendly..always go here for anything you need and you won’t be disappointed!
Okay. Its called Guitar Center... so you would think there is more than one person that knows about guitars.... no.... everyone in the store is very helpful and tries but no.. just bought a jackson floyd rose last week and the string came out.. it was a present for my sons 16th... (i have no clue on guitars) either way they wanted to charge 30 for a restring.. no ill figure it out... i was expecting better because i just bought it from them
Kool spot for guitar lovers
Staff were really nice and helpful.
My son has been going to drum lessons here for years and he loves the one on one instructor time with Cody. He looks forward to it and we can see definite improvement in his abilities. We did our first recital recently and it was fun to see the kids go up on stage and show everyone how much they have learned during their practice sessions.
Was so pleased found what i needed
This store will never get my business ever again. The “Customer Service Manager” knows nothing about customer service or how to deliver that to the people that choose to shop there. He was very rude and should not work in customer service here or anywhere else or be in any sort of management position. I understand masks and social distancing, however as we (me and my 2 siblings) were putting our masks on and walking through the door at the same time, Corando (the ”Customer Service Manager”) felt the need to shout, literally shout, across the entire store and tell us to put our masks on as we were literally in the process of doing so. Not only that but we were the only people in the entire store that he 1) watched as we were inside and 2) felt the need to correct about how our masks accidentally slipped below our noses when there were several others in there who had on masks that weren’t in the appropriate/correct position. Shouting at us each time, like we weren’t standing 5 feet away from him.I get that he has a job in making sure that people have their masks on (and we were doing that when we walked) but it’s how you deliver the message. As I said before, he shouldn’t work in customer service seeing as how he doesn’t have any idea on how to give it and he certainly shouldn’t be a manger if this is how he’s going to act.
I was looking to get information & purchase a bass & amp. I wandered around and a employee finally came over but quickly left to help a previous customer he was working with. Never got any help so I left and bought everything I needed from Cross Creek Pawn & Jewelry. The staff we’re VERY helpful and got a great deal.
Been standing here for 15 minutes trying to get help. Totally ignored. Other people came in and they were helping them. Even one clerk was on his smartphone instead of helping.UPDATE: Did get attention and the person did help out well. Just need better attention.
This is an overall review of guitar center as a whole, not reflective of this store specifically, though they are also reviewed. The folks at this store are nice and easy to work with. Decent selections of new and used gear and this store would get 4 stars if on their own.As a whole, Ive purchased items online and in store, and both ways Ive paid new prices and received used gear. They typically will refund some money or give credit if you call them out on it, but its surprising that you have to do this and in my opinion, an unprofessional way to do business. Youre a national business, how about getting your inventory database together better and giving people what theyre paying you for, not what you want to sell them.
Great staff! Greets you then avails themselves as YOU request. I love it! My next musical purchase WILL BE WITH THE GUITAR CENTER. Where customer service has MEANING.
I gave guitar for minor repairs, 7 days now, when I call they said they dont know when, i would like that they give some sort of time frame, but they just rudely say thats how it is at guitar center. Its 7 more days, still run around..
Lee is awesome, super easy online pick up!
Mr. Bryan was very helpful. It was very comfortable for me to talk to him about my needs as far as the guitar I was looking for Guitar Center is the place I would recommend all my musical friends to shop & save money
Very cool people with an expansive knowledge base of what is there and how to help customers.
Kids love taking lessons here
The great team at this Guitar Center got me hooked up with a really great acoustic guitar and offered me a great price for the one I was looking to sell. Seriously had a great experience.
Helpful and fairly knowledgeable. Its always better to go with your small mom and pop shops, but guitar center doesnt do a bad job of being a big corporation. Staff has been what makes the difference.
Big thanks to the employees at Guitar Center for always being so helpful. They always have just what I need, and then some ☺️
GreAt customer service. They put together a complete guitar kit and also helped me get the best possible deal they could offer. Also introduced me to a few clubs that I hadnt heard of before which saved me a bunch of money and will save me even more in the long run. They stayed with me through out the entire visit and were very knowledgeable about the products that they have to offer and also allow you to try almost anything hands-on, regardless of experience level. Thank you.
NEED MORE INSTRUMENTS SO I CAN SEE HOW MUCH I CANT AFFORD TO PLAY MUSIC
Great as always, a little pricey but not outrageous. Good atmosphere and well staffed. Josh was very helpful in helping me find the best cable for my guitar for the price. It is my new home for all things music.
Great staff Ive encountered so far. I went in to pick up a squire to learn on. The only one available was the floor model which was missing a sling and cord so they threw in better ones for the same initial cost.
Staff is well above average for a store this size and in this chain. Selection is rather limited. Guitar repair is pretty good and very reasonably priced.
Best guitar
Its ok, but the prices are outrageous on small accessories.
Dirty, prices higher on the guitar I went to look at than on website. Website says its $319, in store it was $349...what a rip.
Came in to get one of my many Guitar Center purchased guitars a tune up. Staff was great. The technician is excellent. The only thing was service was a little slow. They were very busy (which is a wonderful thing)
Bought a mini launchpad. I wondered the store kinda aimlessly as most employees just gave me weird looks. One employee did help me, and he was great and made sure I got what I was looking for. I felt that the customers received a biased help if they were already had a musical background. I was hoping for more help and information on music, since this is live experts. I could have recieved the same help online.
Found a used product I needed and at a good price. Only negative is that even though they are well staffed, it is almost serve yourself. They seem to go out of their way to avoid helping. I wonder if they stopped the commission program for employees, because this seems new.
Very satisfied with the personalized instruction of JD! He has a teaching style that makes music theory understandable and physical guitar playing a lot of fun!
Awesome guitar shop with a very courteous staff. I was impressed with their selection, though most of the lower tier guitars were Epiphone, they did have a few very nice Gibson’s in stock. I don’t recall seeing many acoustic guitars in stock however, but regardless it was an excellent experience.
Loved it. A great place to shop or browse for those of us who love music. I really cant tell you about the level of service because I was so enamored by the equipment didnt even pay attention to the staff.
Great Prices on Instruments, Better staff in the Lesson Center. Re-Learning to Play Guitar, Josh, Mike and Pat and the main desk are a joy to work with! Great staff all around, Better instuctors!!!
Good stock and competitively priced. I was offered help as I entered the store. The employee took me to the area I was looking for but didnt hover, which I appreciate. They had everything I needed, and then some.
Donnie was extremely helpful with me. I was having issues with my selector switch and was going to buy one. He offered an alternative that ended up fixing the issue. This shows me that this Guitar Center is more concerned with customer satisfaction over profits. They will have my continued business.
Not a guitar person but my daughter wanted to be for awhile. They were helpful and made sure we bought what was good for a beginner and even suggested somewhere else to buy guitar since she would probably not last as a guitarist. We did go somewhere else to buy cheaper guitar and she didnt last.
I went to purchase a beginner guitair today for my child. I had no idea what I was looking for. Kyle from sales was so sweet and helpful. Great experience here despite how busy the store was. I look forward to the lessons at this location.
They have the best service here. I would like to give a shot out to Juan he’s one of the staff members there. I was going through a difficult time downloading my software and he didn’t stop until we were able to get, Thanks Bro💯💯
Literally a bunch of employees that know nothing about the products they’re selling. They said i have 45 day return policy i returned within the 45 days & they’re saying i have to deactivate the product before i can return. Information that should’ve been relayed at the time of the purchase! Now i have to contact support & wait for a response to return. What if i came on the 45th day to return? This place is a joke, employees are a joke. Definitely Won’t be returning here & the products are overpriced. Shop online!
Rude staff, messy store, bad prices. I went in to sell some equipment and possibility but some things. Waited about half an hour to talk to someone. The guy clearly did not want to be there helping customers. He acted like I was inconveniencing him -- as they ripped me off. Sure, its a busy place and a colorless franchise, but at least be respectful. It would be nice if they at least would say someone will be with you when theyre free when they make eye contact with you waiting at the counter.
First time going there & had equipment my friends were looking for. Small & compact but had everything you needed & my friends were satisfied with their purchase
Staff slow..
I love the Guitar Center. I have bought many things from them. They are very helpful.
Awesome service thumbs up to this young man that helped us Mr. DomoMax
Usually loves this place but the guy that helped us didnt really seem to know much of anything. Then he was ordering online for me and kept telling me my card was declining. I called my bank and they kep saying it should go through. After about 7 or 8 tries he realized he put the security code in wrong. When our stuff came in it was not the package I thought we were getting and i had to purchase even more stuff.
Nash is the man; salesman that is! Very happy with our second guitar purchase. No hassle return policy with receipt is a plus. Guitar strap buttons added while we waited in store. Well be back 🎸😊👍
Really sweet place, lots of cool instruments. I got help about a ukulele by a black guy
A good place to shop for your musical instruments. Trell was very helpful to me; friendly and dedicated to his work.
I walked around the store a good twenty minutes before I was even greeted by a Guitar Center employee. I can just get what I need elsewhere.
They post a price online, when i get to the store a person tried to sell the same product for a larger amount and refuse to respect the online price...Thats why sweetwater is the best.
They had everything I was looking for. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices were incredibly reasonable. Military discount applied.
Good place for strings
