Heres too an amazing team! We purchased our first 2022 Indian with the help of a few great people Charlie, Cody, and Carson. Cody was the first person to greet us at the door and from there on out everything was a breeze. My husband basically already knew what he wanted, but Cody helped him make the best decision. He also helped us order a backrest and a few more things that was needed. Charlie is the best service manager I have seen, he will get you in as quick as possible and refer you to anyone/anything you need help with. Im sure all of our yearly services will come with no headaches with him on board 😉. Last but not least we wanted foot pegs and a back seat added. Well unfortunately there was no technician available the day of purchase who handled our motorcycle. I had just shook hands with the owner Carson, when him himself said he would install whatever we needed. Everyone seemed shocked, but he quickly went to the back got his tools and within minutes we were all set!!! We left that day all smiles and with an American eager to always return...
This was the easiest purchase that I have made. This place is friendly and no pressure at all. I had my last bike for 16 years and had been debating a new ride for a while. I went to Baker American Cycles late April 2021 and spoke with Brantley about the new 2022 Indian Chief. We talked shop and what I was looking for in a bike. Roughly a month later he texts me that they just received a 2022 Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse in Black smoke. I asked for a few pictures and then drove down. Once I sat on the bike I knew it was the one for me. I really appreciated that Brantley reached out to me about purchasing this motorcycle and providing me as much information as I needed. I will continue to do business with Baker American Cycles and recommend to others to purchase there as well.

I had a great experience purchasing my Indian. I have not had any problems getting my bike serviced. The waiting lounge is comfortable. Good coffee, donuts, and the only time that I had a wait, they brought in pizzas for lunch.

I was looking for a motorcycle for my first purchase and wanted a Harley-Davidson. I had looked around a few different places and just couldnt find what I wanted at a reasonable. A friend who had bought a bike from here recommended this place so I checked it out. I saw this Iron 883 with really low miles and thought I really like this bike I put in an application to see if I would qualify and by Saturday morning I was told that I was approved. I ended up coming down the following Monday to pick it up everyone was really helpful. When I got there they had already taken the bike cleaned it up filled it up and it was almost ready when I got there. My paperwork was ready and by the time I filled everything out my bike was ready for the road. Cody was very helpful he made sure I had everything I needed before I left he also gave me his business card and told me if I had any issues with the bike to hesitate to call they even threw in a free T-shirt for me and my wife. Will definitely be recommending this place to anyone looking for a bike I am extremely happy with my experience here.
It is a 250 mile round trip to Bakers from my house. When it became apparent that the recently ordered spare key for my Triumph Tiger 1200 XRT needed to be paired with both the original key and the motorcycle it could have been a disappointing day since I had no service appointment. I was potentially looking at a trip home and back to get the key paired. However, the Sales and Service Departments worked together and allowed me to jump the queue and get my Tiger hooked up to the computers for pairing. Less than an hour later I was on the way home with keys that worked and a motorcycle that would recognize both of them. This is service after the sale and what keeps me coming back.

My wife and I went into Baker American Cycles looking for a dirt bike for our son. My wife spotted this Indian Scout from across the room. We looked at it for five minutes and Brantley was right there if we had questions. This was by far the smoothest transaction buying a new motorcycle Ive ever had. All of the staff was helpful and not pushy. I hate being pushed while making a big transaction. This was laid back and on my terms. Thank you Brantley for the great experience!
About a year ago I went to Baker to get them to change stuff on a motorcycle. I had them put new tires on, change the oil, install a power commander and install a Lloyds timer. While they were about to do the oil change, I get a phone call saying that the drain plug bolt on the oil pan was stripped and they had to drill out the threads and order a part to fix the oil pan to rethread it. Since that day my bike has leaked oil all the time. Its gotten worse since the 2nd oil change about 2 months ago. I took the motorcycle back to them this morning and at first they wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee to look at something they messed up and after about 30 minutes they come out saying that I need a new oil pan and what they did was a temporary solution but this was never explained to me during the phone call. The guy stated that they could fix the threads in the oil pan. I was already spending $800 at the shop and the fix they did was $125. Why would I say to do a temporary fix if Im already spending that much money. I couldve got the oil pan replaced. I havent wanted to ride my bike in months because of the amount of oil that may have leaked out.

After purchasing my 2019 Slingshot in late April of 2019, I have been back several times for services that I prepaid. I understood that this place lasted as long as the factory warranty. Each time, I have had to prove that I bought the maintenance package to get the services done (500 mile and 5000 mile). I also have had a rear tire and a battery replaced with this package. I also said my wife experienced the drivers seat abruptly moving under braking or acceleration. They found nothing, but charged me about $35 to look at it. I believe this is a widely known recall.I now have 12000 miles and would like to get my 10k service, but when I went to drop it off, the service guy said my package had expired. It has been my experience that when you prepay for something you are guaranteed to receive it.Well, once again, I had to prove I had the coverage (Dont they keep records?). And I was told that I may have to pay for the service (again?).Nope, I got back into the sling and went home. They may have great technicians, but I cannot give any good marks to the management. I should know, I was. BMW service manager years ago for a local dealer. Sure we would have issues occasionally with third party warranty coverages, but I bought this at the dealer where I got the sling and expected to have it serviced.I was an ASE certified mechanic and can do the maintenance, but that is not the point. I paid in advance for service.The service writer said he would let me know by the end of the day. That was Wed, and now its Friday, without a word.The moral of the story:. Do not patronize Baker American Cycles. Buy elsewhere and save yourself future headaches.
The salesman was friendly and helpful. I got a good deal on a Slingshot. I received a discount on a helmet. My Slingshot was delivered free of charge on a flatbed trailer. The sales experience was fast and efficient. I cannot complain on anything whatsoever. Also, they have some wicked motorcycles there. Nice.
I had my eyes on the 2021 Indian springfield dark horse for several months. Finally decided to get one. Went there pre-approved from the bank and they guaranteed they could beat the rate. Well suprise to me they cut it in almost half and got the payments right where I wanted it. Cody was straight forward no BS and didnt try to force anything. They even stayed late so we could make the deal happen!! This is my first Indian and first New motorcycle. The experience was awesome!! Was lied too, did the online application they said I was approved got there with down payment and was told pretty much they could not finance me because Im on disability. They kept coming up with something different every time. The thing is I could had bought the bike with cash had the whole amount in hand but when they started giving me excuses I just walked out, saved my 10k for something better.
I purchased a 2013 Harley Davidson Street Glide. The Sales person made it simple and easy for me. The Service department was there to help me with a problem with the Cruise Control after finding out it wouldnt activate. My overall experience with Baker American Cycles was a pleasant experience.
Should have read more of the negative reviews before I ever thought about purchasing a bike from this “business”. Much of what I have read is the same experience that I had. So glad I left and did not make a purchase!!! Went over to the Harley dealer and was warmly welcomed in and made a purchase that same day! Apparently Baker does so much business they can treat customers who are ready to buy a bike as if they are nothing. I am so thankful that I did not end up doing business here and so happy with the bike I bought. They need to take down all of their military promotional deals because they are the biggest joke and are more of a slap in the face than anything.
Everyone at Baker American Cycles was super easy to deal with very polite an helpful. My salesman was Eddie he was super laid back an easy to like. But I pretty much met everyone there in the time it took for my paperwork to get done on my trade in an new to me used bike and everyone was nice an polite. I was pleased with the trade in offer I received from Allen an was very pleased with the price of the street glide I bought I drove 3¹/² hours each way. Thanks for everything everyone.

The service department here is atrocious. They had my machine for nearly 2 months to never fix it. The wench wouldnt spool in and unless I called I wouldnt here anything from them. Their answer was always the same the remote isnt working. Nearly 2 months later I still dont have a working wench. I would not recommend this place for anyrhing.

Great experience. Traded in my 2014 harley softtail, for a road glide. Painless. Staff were not pushing me into anything. Asked what my needs was. Go here for all your motorcycle needs.
Shady sales tactics. Looked at a Club Car golf cart listed for $7800 and actually talked to someone. Got the deal sheet and apparently the roof is an additional charge as well as the front struts. This bumped the price to over $9k. Don’t list the cart at one price and they say “oh yeah these items are extra”. Just list the price with add one up front.
We have ordered parts for our Indians on several occasions. The guys/girl at the desk are always so friendly and super helpful.

Joe was extremely patient with me as I tested bikes as a first time rider. He let me take some laps around the parking lot, and spent quite a bit of time with me before I found a bike I was comfortable test riding. I loved that I felt 0 pressure to purchase. Overall I have not been happy with the quality of their service. I purchased a 2021 ATV in December 2020, Along with an extended warranty. A week later I had to returned the bike for repairs do to an accident while riding. I wanted to attempt to use the warranty process to cover the repairs but my expectations were that I would be paying for it out of pocket. A few days later I received a phone call from Gabe of the service department, stating that the warranty request had been denied and that he had a parts list and a quote for the repairs. At that time I wanted to contact the warranty company so that I can get a clear understanding as to what exactly they covered, I was very surprised to hear that they had never heard of the Baker dealership and had not received any phone calls or a requests to open a case, from them pertaining to my ATV. This was the first red flag for me as to the integrity and the service level that I would be receiving from this dealership. Over the course of several weeks I had to constantly call the warranty department as well as the service department to coordinate their communication and to push The service department to supply the needed photos that the warranty company were requesting it took almost a month for the service department to reach out to me and request information so that they could submit an incident report. I was very patient with the dealership initially due to it being the holidays but by mid January I was beginning to feel a bit frustrated. When the warranty company contacted me and told me they would be denying the claim I immediately contacted Baker service department and told them that I would be paying for it out of pocket and for them to send me a parts list so that I could review it. Imagine my surprise when I found two major components were missing from the requested parts list, and the ATV had been in their possession this entire time. So now I am beginning to question their competency. Throughout this process I have had to make the effort to receive a status update or coordinate communications between various parties involved. This entire ordeal has been very frustrating and I have yet to receive my bike back. As for my last communication The manager had me on speaker and I could clearly hear him being coached by someone in the background, when I asked to know who it was that he was receiving his replies from He could not even give me the courtesy of confirming there was someone else there. Ultimately I was informed that it would be the following week to get my bike back together and returned to me, in my opinion it should only take a day or two but what’s another week after nearly 3 months. I will never deal with this company again. Not even to order parts! I’ll be honest with you, I had every intention of purchasing a Chief Dark Horse Indian motorcycle this summer But at this point I will make every effort to purchase from one of Baker’s competitors. I will update this review once I have my ATV back! Until then I would highly recommend utilizing ANY other dealership!STATUS UPDATEFollowing the posting of this review, Baker Polaris made no mention of my review or ask that I post an update. Initially I was told on a Friday that my ATV will be ready for pick up the following Wednesday, I told him that I would expect to have the bike ready by Tuesday evening. I understand that their service department is typically closed on Monday so I gave them an additional day to complete the repairs and have the ATV ready for pickup. I was notified first thing Monday morning that the bike is ready for pick up and all the repairs have been completed. When I arrived service department was closed but a member of the parts department was able to pull up my account So that I could pay for the transaction and be on my way.While loading my bike on the trailer the a manager came out to explain A part did not need replacing hence the reduced price and that they would trying to get my warranty extend, but I believe that to be lip service. Ultimately I will not be returning.

I have been to this dealership a few times now and each time Im greeted at the door and never have any issues getting help or questions answered. My latest visit was for the Indian demo day they recently hosted in November. Awesome experience! I rode every bike and had a total blast. They had food and refreshments and made the it super easy to take part in this demo ride. I would literally get off one bike and onto another. No waiting in lines or anything, I will definitely be going back to this dealership in the future for events and especially if I decided to buy another Indian.

I went to several stores hunting for the bike I wanted, but it was the customer service at this location that sold me on getting a bike. Other locations either ignored me or tried pressuring me into a sale at insane rates. This was the only place in town that was attentive and didnt try and screw me on prices.

Ponzi scheme comes to mind with Allen and Brently selling to out out state buyers. Not sure if Kate was in on putting my 6000$ on hold for a month. They would not answer a mechanical question and every day I had to prompt them to do something to get things done. I replaced battery, gas leaks under the tank. Tire pressure was 12 lb. drive belt was nicked seat was glued, brakes are shot and disk. Pegs were loose. And they charged 300$ for inspection on this bike. Took so long the price dropped 600$ on internet, did not drop price when I told them. Made me get insurance on it before I purchased it. One sales guy slipped and said money goes out the back door for &@&”&&. Ponzi scheme for out of town buyers. Allen just plain lies. Brently sold used bike as new. There shipping was 3 months I had to get my own. Don’t buy if you out of town. They pay to get good reviews.

Knowing I had just driven 1hr to the shop they rushed me in Eric had a key programmed in minutes!!! In to look at a used Indian Roadmaster but it was sold the weekend before. Looked around at a couple of used Harleys and found a 2016 ultra classic, Cody helped me out took my info got me set up and I left with the bike . I cant rate Baker American Cycles high enough!!! The customer service and friendliness of the staff was absolutely amazing!!! With me being in MD and them in NC, I was a little nervous about how everything would go, there was no need to worry at all, they handled everything!!I also cant say enough about my sales guy, Allen! He was there for me thru the whole process answering every question I had and helped to make the purchase of my new bike one of the easiest experiences Ive ever had!Shout out to Allen, Robert, Joe, Shane and Ben, you guys helped make my purchase even that much better!
