Man oh man! I didnt expect to love a jeweler as much as I love this place. I inherited some of my grandmas jewelry. I have never had real jewelry before so I just set up an appointment to go over what I received as well as if the pieces were real, etc... Brandon and the staff at FWCJ are so incredible. They are friendly, full of so much knowledge, and overall where I will be taking my business for years to come. I also bought a momento mori pin from them. It was made into a BEAUTIFUL necklace that I cant stop staring at. Go to Federal Way Custom Jewelers! They are AMAZING and you will not be disappointed.

Sean was very helpful and knowledgeable on all things rings and stones when we needed to have my antique engagement ring restored. We drove all the way from across the Sound and it was absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

I wouldnt recommend this place if you want to get a ring fixed/restored. We brought in a very expensive vintage ring that needed a little bit of work done and they insinuated that our engagement ring wasnt worth the money and time. Who does that? We have been to several jewelers and nobody ever came off as unprofessional. We got profesional blacksmiths that worked on this ring and they were actually surprised someone insinuated such thing.If you need jewelry repair you are better of going to Fred Meyers Jewelers. Professional and they do immaculate work.

I was looking for a trustworthy place to sell some older family jewelry. I have been in twice now. Both times, Brandon was amazing. He is knowledgeable and friendly. He explained everything about the jewelry and why the pieces were worth certain prices. He even told me what I should hang on to for a while because I wouldnt get enough for them. I love this place! The staff are all helpful and extremely knowledgeable. They clearly have a passion for what they do. They have trays of stones to pull out and they can share the backgrounds and specifics on them. Ive purchased several stones from them and theyve made some beautiful custom pieces. If youre thinking about a diamond you may want to visit this place first because they have so much more to offer that you might just change your mind!

You go to a rock show; you see an incredible specimen of whatever and think - that would make a great piece of jewelry. Then you stop, but how? Many of us have the perfect rock in a drawer somewhere. This is my go-to store. First for stuff they already have, stones they have chosen and set or stones that you can choose and set. But they are also open to setting your stone and enjoy the creative process. If you are within driving distance of Federal Way WA, this is worth a visit.

Such a wonderful experience today at federal way custom jewelers. I brought my mom with me to browse and René went above and beyond to listen to what we were looking for, educate us on different stones/cuts etc and we even got trade in value for some gold pieces. We are very excited to return.

What a great experience! We went in to have my wedding set refreshed and updated. Brandon was so informative, teaching us some history of my estate-piece engagement ring and the jewelry business overall. The finished piece is beautiful, was done in a little more than a week and cost about 2/3 what we had expected.

Brandon, at this lovely shop, not only bought my jewelry but restored my faith in mankind!I had the daunting task of selling inherited jewelry. Some was cheap costume jewelry but other pieces appeared high quality. After reading the reviews I took a leap of faith and reached out to Brandon to make an appointment. He responded quickly and set the date. I was full of dread and anxiety at the thought of some high and might gemologist trying to intimidate and low ball me. I took a friend for support.I was pleasantly surprised and more than a little impressed with Brandons expertise and kindness. He patiently went over each piece and educated me on the fine art of determining value. He gave me his undivided attention and other staff members were on hand to help. I felt valued and he understood the emotional nature of selling inherited jewelry. He also counseled me on pieces that I may want to keep. I left feeling confident I got a great price for the lot and never once felt manipulated or taken advantage of.I wont hesitate to refer to this fine shop and I hope that I get to buy there at some point. This place is so awesome. Every time I go in there they are kind, informative, and have excellent customer service. I had my ring repaired and he was sure to show me how I could identify my ring before I left it and it looked like a new ring when I got it back quickly! Also they have really unique cool pieces of jewelry some inexpensive pieces with recycled stones. They can create any type of jewelry you request. I also asked them about selling a diamond through them even though they set to lose they still gave me all my options to either sell to them, or sell privately and were so honest. Sharing with me clarity, cut, color and what I could expect to sell it for. They are so kind and honest. I brought my 2 boys in there and while I was waiting they gave them “jewels” to take home and kept them entertained showing them the “steam train” and microscope they use to look at the diamonds. I recommend everyone hit this place up. Go here for your jewelry, you won’t regret it! These guys are the best!

Its a shame I cant rate more than 5 stars. We came in here to get our wedding rings resized and was amazed with the whole experience. Sean was an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only was he very kind and welcoming, but also extremely knowledgeable about his trade. Even took us around the shop and showed us some great pieces with interesting history behind them. I will definitely be a returning customer and can highly recommend!

Initially I went to this jeweler to have a pendant repaired purchased in Turkey that held a lot of sentimental value. That is where I learned of bringing in all my old broken chains and jewelry I didnt wear anymore. Next visit surprised me w/a much better return on those items than I could have imagined. I was able to purchase the most beautiful ring for far less than it appraised. I purchased two loose opals, one of which was to be put in a watch face no longer worn. I was a little hesitant of the concept, but OH MY GOSH! The final product was a beautiful pendant that preserved a piece of heirloom jewelry for my youngest daughter to wear. The second opal is being placed in a setting that is being adapted to also incorporate the remaining piece of the watch. Custom jewelry is this stores forte. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Hard to go in there w/o walking out w/a purchase!

I got my engagement ring custom made from here. LaDonna Bryant designed for me a very beautiful Harry Potter themed ring for my now wife! The way she designed the ring blended in the Harry Potter design seamlessly into the ring. At a glance just seems like a good looking ring but look closely and you can see the theme on it. I would highly recommend this place to get a beautiful ring.

For a fun experience visit this store during one of their loose gems events. In addition to the visual treat of examining trays of loose stones you will learn about the various cuts, colors and where the stones were mined. Over the years my selections were mounted in unique settings that matched my own personal style and taste.

We worked with Sean to design a custom engagement ring. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, was able to give us a great deal. We felt absolutely no pressure to sell more expensive items/up-sell. Unlike other places we visited, we felt like Sean had our interests at heart. We have gone back for a wedding band, and hope to continue going there for our future needs.

I came in with a fairly serious repair (ring in three pieces) as well as for a simple resizing. A few other places I looked into wanted several hundred more than Federal Way Custom Jewelers and had less favorable reviews. I was impressed by how polite the staff was and appreciated their willingness to explain what repairs would have to be done and why. The repair also only took a week and the ring looks beautiful! I will definitely come back here and recommend it to anyone who needs to either buy or have a piece repaired.

We took in about 12. LaDonna was very knowledgeable, professional and very personable. lt took me three times of looking at the designs she would send me through email before we got it perfect.
