The Girl working was so sweet so helpful! I just left my hair salon & tried a new hair stylist & my highlights turned out so bad & copper orangish so I went directly to Sallys & the girl working helped me with a purple shampoo to use. Very helpful Ill definitely be going back soon!
The ladys were knowledgeble about the various options and had no problem sharing and or educating. That is critical if you want repeat customersc.
Incompetent, untrained, rude employers including their manager.purchased a hair trimmer today 20 mints later when in to return it because it would not turn on.the store employer said its none of my business and the manager walked away.Do not purchase any equipment here u willl no be able to return if it doesnt workI have been a customer for about 15 yrs and U have the most uncaring people about ur Business u have ever had.To the owner reading this, is no the money that I paid is the untrained, incompetent people u have working for u.Offere them people skills and customer service training.Thia happened today April 7 morning.
Young snotty brats put a sign on the door saying we will be back(2 hours before closing time). So I called & was greeted by a rude person, I ask when they would be back? Very snotty she responded we both legally have to take a break & cant give a time that they would be back. Then hung up on me.... 2 hours before they close & they both have to take a break? Lol... gave my money to the other sallys! ***Edit, upon calling I spoke with the assistant manager & she was very nice & apologetic about this incident. I truly hope they can address it for the future! I know good employees are hard to come by these days!
Came here with my wife to buy some hair products, sign said will be back soon. Ok thats fine we can wait. Then the worker comes out to the counter grabs a drink and doesnt even acknowledge us even though she looked right at us and just walked back to the back room. 4 minutes later she peaks out of the back room door looks at us and closes the door. Like come on, at least give us an update or something. That some extremely poor customer service, need new employees here if they wanna be like that.
I was looking for nail care products and the sales clerk was really helpful in finding a product that might help.
I have been going here a while. I went the other day and experienced the best customer service! The rep asked why I needed the products I needed and we discussed it. She was able to recommend a new flat iron to me (made a huge difference in one use) and I also got a free curling iron just too! I felt like she was actually listening to what I needed and was suggesting long term fixes to help me.
To add to my earlier review while I was turned away for not having a mask on due to my doctor advising me not to wear one. The white employee that told me to leave had her mask under her chin and the other customer in the store had no mask on. But I guess she is good to go since she is white.
Is Sallys going to go out of business? It really seems like that is the case. The lack of product available at any store is not even bare minimum. They seem to hire people who dont care to be in the customer service field. I couldnt give them my money if I wanted too, they never have the product I am looking for.
There has been a lady there recently with a lot of tattoos who is super professional, knowledgeable, and very welcoming. I’ve had to come twice due to multiple issues with my color and she has been very helpful and genuine. I can tell the staff respects her a lot and it’s refreshing to come into a sallys and this be the case :)
Went to sallys 25 minutes before closing time today. There were 2 people waiting outside to be let in. My daughter went to wait and they told her no more customers. My kid knew exactly what she wanted. She did not want to browse. Just get one thing.
I gotta say this place is great depending on who’s working. I HAVE TO say Mila has by far one of the happiest, helpful, go-getter, attitudes I’ve ever seen in a workplace. In fact, I told her that by far a company NEEDS a person like her in order to succeed. I was greeted with a smile, we laughed together, happily found the products I needed, and at the end I was sure I’d rather drive 5+ miles just to go to this store and see her again! My hair is gonna look fabulous! Thanks Mila and thanks Sally’s! I hope in the future the next new hires are trained to be more like her.
The ladies here are very helpful and awesome. They helped me save money and I left smiling and feeling down right good. We need more employees they like their jobs enough to actually be happy to help you. Great job ladies.
I dont normally give reviews, but the service here was so poor that I needed to warn others. I went in today at 3pm to grab a few things to dye my hair since I had a gift card for Sallys. I was watched and followed in EVERY single aisle I went down (theres 3 aisles) by the same white girl who was really pale with black hair and red lipstick. She had a Gothic look to her. I have nothing against Gothic people, but clearly she had something against me. At first it didnt bother me, I thought hey she probably does this to everyone. Nope. Only me. There were a group of girls in there too, but they didnt get her attention. She even followed me to the cash register! Im an African American woman, and it wasnt like I was dressed bummy or anything. I guess I just have one of those skin tones that look suspicious.Ill never be back again. I wouldve said something, but I was just in shock that I was treated like this, being a visitor from out of town, I guess I just forgot how people who look like me get treated in Washington.
Horrible! My sister, her children and I went in to grab oil and was immediately greeted by a older Caucasian woman with reddish brown hair. She asked if she could help us with anything as soon as we walked in... came on a bit strong... but Ok harmless enough... We head to one isle, check out products while chatting with. We look up and the same lady is just standing there staring! Like not even pretending to straighten up the shelves... Just staring! I politely ask Im sorry are we in your way?, She replies No, Im just admiring the little ones dress and things on the bottom there, plus I dont want to dust while you are in the store. Anyway we keep talking and she remains standing there until she finally walks two steps away and begins dusting the price tags on some shelves ( Even though she gave that whole line about not dusting to avoid it getting in our faces). We move to the next isle... Guess who follows immediately behind us and starts dusting?! You guessed it! Single white older female! She inserts herself into our conversation offering us products pertaining to our discussion. Once we decline she literally walks three steps away and begins dusting. What a nightmare! I hear other black people talk about being followed in stores all the time... It just has never actually happened to me... What a weird experience! I know this was long and drawn out, but unless you want to be racially profiled while looking for products, I would avoid this Sallys.
It’s a damn shame to come here and see all BLACK hair products in the back of the store. you guys need to do better, but you guys aren’t because we don’t matter to you guys. Step It Up.
Ii have been coming to this Sallys since they moved to this location I got there at 7:45 I was buying the buy 2 get one free lashes I mention i notice a price increase to Michelle she stated she was from the south and she gets her lashes on line she said she would never purchase her lashes from there horrible sales tactic then I eas trying to locate my $5.00 coupon and her and another employee kept complaing they wanted to go home several customers showed up I was still trying to locate my coupon on line Michelle co worker asked me four times if I had found my coupon I final told her stop sweating me you can help other customers.. Michelle jump in and said you should of already had your coupon and you can leave be for I call security. I asked her what her managers name was she refused to give it too me. Michelle has horrible customer service and sales skills!
If you cant wear a mask dont try to shop here. Gave 1 star because I had to.
I do not like giving poor reviews. Hopefully it was an off day for the 2 employees but both were lost in la-la land and had very little knowledge of their products. Was provided incorrect info and just corrected by heading to a national drugstore chain.
I can fart better service than these Bimbos provide. This one fat lady, I think her name was Heather, followed me around and tried to show me a do it yourself Anal Bleaching Kit. When all I went in there for was some beard trimmers. I dont know what the hell that was about but I couldnt wait to get out of there.
A lady with long blonde hair attended me very well, I did not find the dye she needed and she looked for another brand and suggested good advice, excellent service Thank you!
Employees are very rude. They see you walk in and dont even bother to say hello or ask if you need help finding anything but theyre standing around in front of the counter going on about how they love helping customers. Ive been going there for years despite theyre rude employee and Ive only met two employees that were polite and helpful. I now shop at the Sallys in Des Moines.
Close the store at the correct time. That little itty bitty sign noone can read while driving around trying to find a parking stop in a packed parking lot.

Its is so sad that I love buying stuff at Sally but yesterday I bought hair which was not a match to my hair and when I returned it todf I was told the hair sale is final and its written at the back of the receipt! Dont you think you should inform people first before buying it? I have to buy it and get the receipt before I know that its final sale? That s a complete ripoff you guys should let people know what options they have before buying this stuff? Yrs I left the hair their counter because i wont bw using it anyway ao tht can give whomever they wish to. One thing for sure I will never buy from them again with unknown disclosure! Be sure you want the stuff you buy there because for sure all they care about is their sale. Not customer satisfaction! Get value for money. #boycotsally
I was in this evening and who I believe the store manager, Evelynn...(Really hope I heard right lol )She was Sooo NICE. I came at closing and had questions!But still she helped me no problem and was just so caring and helpful!! You just dont find that anymore, so I had to make sure to write a review. people like her should be recognized for the OUTSTANDING COSTMER SERVICE! Thank you for your help and I will definately be back for my next beauty run !!
Fantastic Customer Service! I had so many questions - trying to save a little money by coloring my own hair, have never done it before - and my questions were all answered, instructions were given, and I left knowing that this is totally something I can do and save tons of money! Thanks Sally!!!
The second I walk in they stare me down, so instead of looking for what I want i ask them about it. One couldnt comprehend what I was asking and the other looked and acted like I was an idiot. They gave one glance in the direction of the product I was looking for and went, uhhh... yah... I dont think we have that. I walked right out and will never be going back. Not to mention the product I wanted was shelved behind them so I couldnt even take a look for myself.
I dont like going to this one at all. The second you walk in they start staring at you like your about to steal something. Makes me feel uncomfortable. I dont stealing, I dont like being treated like a criminal. Its not professional at all. Need new employees that have respect for their customers and wont treat people like criminals
The prices are a little higher than most beauty store around but if possible use any discount you can find for their store

It was horrible I could have sworn the girl there was on drugs and the security garde was following me around and I even put my purse by the register so they would give me space to shop . The guard said he was just following this elderly women to help and I said then why dont you help her carry her basket but really he didnt help her at all . Plus there should be someone there that knows what is what when it comes to purchesing the products there selling
They should really stop following people around as if everyones a thief. The moment you walk in, theyre on you. Since you dont allow me to shop in peace, I wont be spending my money with you. Its ridiculous
