Mark was incredibly accommodating and helpful when my partner and I had to make a quick stop during our trip from Portland to Seattle. We left more knowledgeable and feeling so welcomed in the community. He really took care of us. Highly recommend!

Immediately I knew Mark was a guy who had a passion for fixing bikes. He was incredibly knowledgeable and diagnosed problems that I think even a common bike repair person would overlook. No doubt Mark is blessed with talents to fix a bike and he does it with excellence.Id like to point out that Mark saved me a few hundred dollars by repairing what was broken instead of replacing the total unit. What Im trying to say is likely another technician would have just replaced a full unit that didnt need to be replaced and i appreciated marks honesty in that.I will be going back from here out! I was motivated by the good comments I found from the site on google, but the truth was disappointing. I found an environment with very low customer service, I really read the comments and I do not find anything that I got in my experience. If you are given a stipulated delivery time, you assume that it will be, and if it is not, it is understandable that a message or a call is enough to clarify the situation which I never got. After reaching an agreement of 10 working days to finish the work, I had to wait almost a week and a half more, and the one who called to see how the work was had to be me. Then they contacted me with a message giving me only one option for the arrangement, there being a thousand more options in parts (the truth is a bit expensive). We continue well, after many calls and unanswered messages I went to the local to pick up my bicycle, the hostile welcome as the first time. We continue well; I said to myself may he have problems ok. He explains the work he done and before finishing he gives me a speech that he spent on time and products finding the damage that he was grateful that he was not charging me for that (thanks Mark for doing your work you are very kind) and just as to finish he says, I forgot the front brake has the same problem. ahhh I bring my bicycle for maintenance to tell me that it is wrong that it is okay, he will give it to me 25 days later so that after a bad service he will tell me that he did things in half. Believe me that more than disappointed in this place my biggest disappointment is to lose hope of finding a place where I can go to fix my bike I just hope you have a better experience

Having had 3 kids who were serious bike racers and 1 who still is I have dealt with numerous bike shops and mechanics in the puget sound area over the last 15 years.I can recognize quickly those that know their stuff and will take care of you vs those who just want your $.I generally know what a repair should cost and what type of repairs need to be done,Mark knows what he is doing and especially during this pandemic when bike shops are swamped he will take care of you.I only take our bikes to tight bike or Phils bike shop,either way I know the service will be done by pros and for a fair price.

Honest, reliable bike technician. Ive used Tight Bike in the past for repairs and have always been happy. Recently I called to ask about a new rear derailleur and he asked me a bunch of questions to make sure he understood my situation. He suggested that before I replace it that I try one more thing. I did that and solved the problem. He didnt try to upsell me it convince me to bring it in. In the end he saved me money. Thats an honest man.

Mark fixed my bent bike wheel and sold me an extraordinary new bike. This shop is small, the owner is super friendly, knowledgeable, and active in the biking community. I trust his advice and you should as well. This guy is the real deal. Dont waste your money elsewhere. This is where your greatest value is.

My bike and my husbands bike were both in storage for over a year and were in pretty sorry shape. I took them here hoping he could get them repaired and get us back on the road and at a reasonable price.He did a wonderful job and at a very reasonable price. I believe we have found our “new go-to guy”.

One of my Best Customer Service Experience, EVER!Took my daughters bike over to Tight Bike in Federal Way for repair, and I ended up getting more than I had expected in terms of service, (compared to other bike shops around the area... if you know what I mean); excellent Customer Service, good pricing, good workmanship, prompt service, friendliness, etc.Thank you Mark... will most definitely be back again!

Great little shop. My chain came apart during a long ride and I happened to be near this place. Im extremely glad I found it! Mark was methodical and patient figuring out what had gone wrong with my chain (faulty master link), gave a ton of helpful advice about bike maintenance and chain lubrication, and charged only for parts despite spending the better part of an hour helping me. To cap it all off, he asked where I was heading and had some very helpful suggestions about how to do the route in the most bike-friendly way possible. Really glad to have stumbled upon this place and grateful for the service I received.

When you go into a bike shop, you want some sort of assurance that the person you are talking to cares about bikes, and cares about you. It is obvious right from the outset that Mark is a bike nut, but what is more important is that Mark cares more about you and your cycling experience than any other facet of the business.I stumbled into his shop needing to fix a flat, and walked away thoroughly prepped for an epic ride I was doing in about a month. Great shop! Mark does so much more in a basic tune-up than any other shop. He doesnt push anything that you dont need. Very honest and knowledgeable! He took my very well ridden Giant Mt bike and made it look and ride like new again. Ill be a customer for life.

I found this shop by reading the above reviews and I am so thankful for the recommendations! Tight Bike went ABOVE and BEYOND any of the competition. I brought in a bike I had neglected for several years and was blown away by the attention to detail and helpful maintenance ideas shared by the staff. The tune up on my bike has restored a long lost enthusiasm for recreational biking and it was priced perfectly. Loved the service!

This is the best customer service I have ever received. The owner of this was very nice. He looked at my Bike and went back to his work shop to get the tools. Right outside he repaired the Bike without collecting a dime saying my job was too easy and less time consuming for him to collect anything. Pls patronize him and you wont regret.

After reading the other reviews I decided to give Tight Bike a try, and I was not disappointed. After calling Mark up, explaining my bike problems, and having him inform me that there was about 2 weeks of work ahead of me, he told me to stop by the next day for him to have a look. So I did, and within half an hour my simple bike problem was fixed like new! and the only thing he charged me for was the new part. All in all, if I ever have another bike problem, Tight Bike will be the first place I go.
