Excellent atmosphere. One of my favorite comic shops for newer comics and niche board games (Tiny Epic Games!). I appreciate the local artist spotlight section, and the kid-friendly nerdy book section. Got my 3-year-old cousin the ABCs of D&D, which she loves. 💯 LGBTQ+ friendly :)

Limited selection, inability to get variants, policies against purchasing multiple copies from the discount Bin I totally understand not being able to buy new releases in multiples but once theyve been discounted due to lack of sales I feel they should be fair game. Ive closed my pull box and will no longer shop there because the way they conduct business and the policies they have in place go against the nature of collecting. Ive been a comic collector for nearly 40 years and Ive never had a problem spending my money on what I wanted until Fanatasium. Maybe a good place for a new collector who doesnt know any better but this place would only offend a seasoned collector.

Fantasium is a fantastic local comic and game shop! They have the latest comics and games and are always stocked up on classics too. All types of games from party, cooperative strategy, RPG, and even the 12-hour huge 4x games. Tons of D&D and TCG supplies like dice, reference books, play mats, card holders, and sleeves. They have something for everyone in their comic book section and allow for pre-orders so you never miss an issue. The staff is always helpful and friendly, good for a game or comic recommendation. The demo collection helps to get a sense of how a game plays before buying it, or just hanging out for an afternoon. Ill often just stop in to see whats new and try to convince myself I dont need a shiny new set of dice. Overall, Fantasium is a great place to find all things comics and board games with a great staff.

The store employee and layout was very conscious about safety protocols for Covid-19, which was great! I ordered twice online and they bundled the items together automatically. The employee I spoke with gave me information on every topic I asked about and was very friendly. Their selection looked good and they had lots of interesting extras, like clothes and art.

Go here constantly when my favorite LCS is out of what Im looking for.they either have it or are able to tell me when its coming in!Such a helpful group of people that work there, super polite as well.

I go here for all of my comics and tabletop gaming stuff. The ladies here are so friendly and engaging.With the COVID stuff going on, they are managing the safety of customers and employees quite well it seems. You can order online for curbside pickup or go inside where they have everyone wash up before shopping. There are also special hours for high risk individuals.Highly recommended!

Fantasium doesnt just have a great assortment of comics, games, miniatures, dice, etc. They have a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The people that work there are honest and passionate about their products. They dedicate a good sized and comfortable gaming portion of their store to meet others in the community that may share your same hobbies. I always enjoy shopping there for myself and my kids; and I am happy to support a local small business that in turn, supports their community too.

This is an amazing place to go if youre a geek or a nerd. They have all kinds of comics for all kinds of people, along with dozens of different types of cards. Its also a great place to get dice for a good price.

This was my first time in, went in to browse for a board game and I was impressed their selection! The environment was very welcoming and there were a bunch of people in the game area having a great time playing games. The staff was also very friendly. Would absolutely recommend to everyone!

This score is solely based on prices. The staff is very nice and willing to go the extra mile. They do have a rewards system which gives store credit for spending there. However, buying a box of Magic cards $20-$40 over retail prices isnt worth the store credit you get back. I will definitely return, but not for the buy a box promos anymore.

Even if it has been months since Ive been in last, I still feel welcome and appreciated as a customer. My latest visit was to pick up a gift for my friend. I asked the guy working that day(Saturday) where the D&D stuff was, he walked me over to the books and even pointed out the dice sets, minis and spell card decks! Picked up some spell decks and had to stop myself from adding a 14th set of dice to my collection and while checking out we chatted up about the one shot I was going to participate in that night. Needless to say I always feel comfortable when Im in, and its a great space for the community.

A lovely comic and gaming store with a wide selection, big open gaming area, and a well marked and organized layout. Everything is easy to find. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have very good deals on reduced price back issues going back the last 6 months to a year. Not much of a back issue collection overall, though.

Played D&D for the first time at the Wednesday Adventurers League and had a blast! Everybody was super friendly and knowledgeable. If youve been wanting to play but havent known how or where to jump in, this is the perfect place to get your feet under you and gain some experience and friends! :)

I like Fantasium, the staff is kind and courteous. They are mostly a comic shop and have a fantastic collection. Staff is very knowledgeable about the comics they sell.Their boardgame selection is...okay. Staff does not appear to have the same passion for games as comics.They run wonderful tournaments and host game nights for the community. They are the very definition of a FLAGS and we are lucky as a community to have them.

Ive been visiting Fantasium for several years to attend the Dungeon and Dragons Encounters/Adventurers League on Wednesday nights. Paula, the owner, Rachel, and Sara are all very friendly.Fantasium has a great selection of comics and games. If there is a comic or game that you cannot find, they will be more than happy to order it for you.Throughout the week are events. Wednesdays is Dungeons and Dragons Adventurers League. Fridays is Magic the Gathering. Every Saturday night they have Beer and Board games (21+) starting at 7pm. Although I am not a Magic player, the D&D and Beer and Board games are a lot of fun.Fantasium has become my home away from home... almost. Only if I was allowed to spend the night. I cannot imagine not having this awesome location in my life.

Went for Free Comic Day and bought some Iron Maiden Comics (Some Japanese Variant Covers) and Hardbounds while there at a great deal. I will be returning for sure. Staff were all friendly and informative. For a tiny location, it packs quite a punch! 👊

My friend and I were just visiting Seattle for fun, and we stopped in after some very good Korean food nearby. We ended up staying all afternoon until they closed at midnight. It was very friendly, and we tried out a few long, demo games, which we enjoyed immensely. They have cheap drinks Saturday night, and a decent snack collection as well as a great gaming area. Otherwise looks like a clean and well-run comic store.

Helpful staff and clear social distancing restrictions

The location of this store is really nice. The facility itself is pretty good and their product selection was solid for a store their size. Their players were friendly and they all seemed happy and engaged in their activities.The issue I had is that I hung out in the store for almost 20 minutes. In that time I walked through the entire place. I spoke with some of the gamers. I even made a second pass and picked up a few products to look at.I wasnt greeted. I wasnt spoken to. The employee on hand engaged someone that was a friend or a regular multiple times during my visit. But didnt say anything to me. Not good.

Best comic book shop in Federal Way!!! I have visited this shop for over a year maybe closer to two or three. How time flies!! Paula and company is so helpful. I was able to set up a subscription so my comics are held and waiting for me if I am unable to make it on release day. Who wants to miss a comic??. I love the email reminders and weekly notifications of new releases. They also have a large section dedicated to board game play. I do not play but if I were to start, I would look no further than Fantasium.

Really helpfulIve been looking into picking up magic the gathering and learning to play. The staff were very helpful in answering all the questions I had. Store is very clean and has alot of selections. They have a sweet selection of back stocked issues for half off, which is great for anyone trying to get back into comics after a long hiatus. They have many tables for board games, card tournaments, and casual play. Plenty of parking in front as well!

Tabletop gamers are encouraged to come to their many hosted game days and tournaments. Ive been coming here since I moved up from Southern California. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to give suggestions for good reads. I have a couple of titles on a pull list, and sometimes get some new surprises added because its a new work by a writer I like. There are tons of collectibles and card games and tabletop games as well. On top of everything, they have a customer loyalty program too. Free comics when you buy a certain amount. Whats not to love? Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

I wasnt able to sit down and play, but this place is crazy amazing. About 25 big comfortable chairs, with the same amount of Xboxes too play on. It was the coolest thing. Next time I am in the area, I will stop by!!!

I love this shop! It has got to be one of the best places around. The staff is always so very nice and welcoming when I go in. The woman that is usually there, I assume manager or owner, is very sweet and has recomended different reads to me that Ive fallen in love with.Oh it helps that they play great music and once went it I heard a band being played that I thought no one would ever remember or maybe never heard of (cooties). I chose this shop over all others in the area because you can tell they care about comics and gaming more than they care about being snobbish and elitists about it all. Not to name names but the other shop in the area was great for years but I always felt like I was being judged for my choices.

Most hybrid comic/game stores suffer from that split. Either the game store is really good and the comic selection is lackluster or the other way around. Somehow, Fantasium dodged this bullet. The game selection isnt huge, but special orders are the best I have ever seen for a game store. Not only that, but the crew is knowledgeable and excited about their products (both comics and games).They also work hard to make sure that the atmosphere and culture of the store is open and welcoming, and they have regular scheduled events to further expand the local community.

This was a great game store. They allowed me to purchace a box of war of the spark as first come first serve. The pre release they ran was fun and fair and judged well and the players were top notch. Will come to again to buy things or play.

Best comic store, 10/10, 100/100. Great place to get everything Ive needed thus far for DnD and for feeding my covetous goblin addiction to Pokémon cards. Now that Ive picked up MtG I have even more reason to come by! Got my Adventure Zone novels here so you know they have the good stuff. Plus the store culture is great, I feel like I can be myself there and once Everything blows over I will be back for DnD or a game or two of Magic.

Great people, great selection of demo games, but they dont have the best selection for the games they sell. They gladly offer to order the item for you, and are quite knowledgeable and more than willing to answer questions.Only gripe is the somewhat sparse selection. Otherwise fantastic!
