The Book Loft is such a great little bookstore! They have a wide selection of books and the sweetest gals to help you find exactly what youre looking for!

Great little shop with tons of local content as well as the classics. Local Art, puzzles, and books of course. Highlighted Sections -Adult Pirate, Beach Series, Local ghosts, and history.

I love this book store. It may be small, but there’s always something new to find in there and I visit multiple times a month. I can’t go to Fernandina without at least stopping in to visit here. I have only gone upstairs to check out that selection once and probably an underutilizing it. I once wanted a book but there was some small damage to the spine so I asked if they had another copy in the back. They didn’t, but they discounted the cost because it was damaged so that’s worthy of a positive review in my book because they take the time to care for customers. All this with a quality bookmark every time you buy to boot. Do yourself a favor and buy a book or two from here.

Love visiting the Loft! It was my first time in a two story book store. The ladies there were very attentive and shared some of the history of the town and island.

The Book Loft is an old-fashioned bookstore located in beautiful downtown Fernandina Beach. They have new releases, best-sellers, childrens books classics and more! Overall a great atmosphere and wonderful book selection!

This place is so awesome, it’s so nice to be in a bookstore that I can walk around in and actually pick up books and look at them. Great selection too.

I LOVE this store!!! I come every time I am in town.It has the absolute best atmosphere and location, gives you mom and pop vibes mixed with beachy! I love history books and they have the neatest history section about Amelia island, Cucumberland, and even American beach!!A must on your vacation!

A cute little bookshop tucked away on a picturesque street in old Amelia Island. Downstairs you will find a good selection of current novels along with books by local authors along with books on the area; check their Facebook to see when authors are in for book signings. They also have a used book section located upstairs where you can find an older novel at a great price as well as a few first editions & older volumes. Tucked away in the back of the first floor is a charming childrens section complete with a little train table to help keep kids amused as you browse. There is also a well stocked section for young adults & a section complete with the classics in case you should want to revisit old friends as you relax on the nearby beach or as you are listening to one of the musicians playing on the street outside. The ladies who are there when I have visited are very friendly & knowledgeable about the area. Now that I have discovered it, I always make it a point to drop in to have a look around.

I have come here twice when on vacation at Amelia Island, and I have had an amazing experience both times. The book selection is amazing and well organized and the people there when I have come to shop were nice and pointed out their recommendations to me. I hope I get the chance to come back next year for new books.

Quiet bookshop on Fernandinas Centre Street where you can find childrens books, local history and lore, and a little spot to sit and peruse your options. Also, offers other items, we found a beautiful Jane Austen themed journal for our daughter.

I have never purchased anything at this store but have been here many times. The people here are very talented and the overall feel of the place is charming. It is a neat little book store with a lot of friendly people working there.

I love the charm of this bookstore but the workers can be unfriendly sometimes. Today I went and the lady ringing up my books never said a word to me, if I hadnt asked her a question there would have been no words spoken between us. I like that the store has a nice collection on local history & also local authors. The books are well organized, which makes browsing more enjoyable. I go for the quaint, quiet, non corporate, local charm not the warm & fuzzy social interactions. I needed a specific book today & since the library was closed, Book Loft saved the day.

Found some great local books and even a new book I had been wanting to get! A great selection to look at and bright and cheery building!

This is a decent book store. They seem to have both new & used books, and a lot of variety (including a large selection of kids books), but theres not a lot of organization, so eclectic to hunt for what you want. And the store was crowded when we went, which emphasized the narrow walkways. Overall Id say its worth a stop for a minute, or if you know what youre looking for.

A great place to snuggle up with a book and get the best reads too. Very hospitable to fledgling authors (myself included) and always a lot of activity going on. Last year was their 25th anniversary. Kudos for someone who can stand up to Amazon’s bullying. Will return here again and again. It’s good to have a physical store where books can be stacked and pages turned. May you continue onward. Thanks for all you do to keep us all reading. Kids too.

Pretty good but they believe Bill O’reilly is a history book author rather than what he really is: historical fiction.

Wonderful local bookstore. They have artists regularly come.and sign their books. The staff is.very helpful and will order something if they dont carry it.

Had a mixup here with pricing that almost cost my friend double the cost of her book. It seemed a couple customers complained that same day of mispriced items. We did, overall, enjoy our time spent upstairs, perusing some of the Amelia Island history books here. We managed to find some prestigious families in books here and locate their tombstone in St. Peters Cemetery! Books are definitely Barnes and Noble pricing here, though. (Dont think Mom and Pop.)

Overall a nice bookstore dealing with a majority of new books although theres a fairly well sized used section. Kinda pricey but not too bad.
