Amazing atmosphere, service, and food! My husband and I love to come here. It’s a wonderful cafe slightly off the Main Street but definitely worth the detour. We always have a fresh delicious meal served with a smile. This meal was a cappuccino, Steve’s onion soup, French toast, and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich.
We had dinner here on vacation. The onion soup was the best soup Ive ever had. Fantastic, Ill go back just for that. Our party also had the Cobia and Crab cakes. Both were excellent and the crab cakes lived up to the hype. The place is also very clean and they were very observant of COVID protections.
Pozzi Bistro is fabulous! The owner, Steve came to greet us at our table soon after arriving. Our waitress was very attentive. Steve suggested the warmed goat cheese appetizer, which was the best ever had! We wrapped up with the apple crisp for dessert. Fabulous food and wonderful atmosphere. Give it a try!
Can’t say enough Great things about this restaurant..First time here, the filet mignon was one of the best we’ve ever had, sides of asparagus and mashed potatoes were great. The atmosphere was so nice, loved our server Sara and loved the owner, everyone working their was so nice and helpful. Will definitely be coming back, phenomenal.
If you are looking for a fine dining experience this is a great place to try. We were celebrating a 30 year anniversary and a birthday. The owners were wonderful and went above and beyond to make our dining experience enjoyable. The food was delicious - we cleaned our plates. We cant wait to go back.
Ate here for my fiancé’s birthday last month. Were very happy just to be able to finally eat at a restaurant, and reserved a table outside which was really nice. Server was friendly, but the food was quite disappointing, especially considering the prices (and I live in NYC). Small portions, and I had to season everything myself. Apparently the people sitting next to us had the best crab cakes they ever had, but both our dishes were forgettable and extremely bland. With so many good food options in Fernandina, I’m afraid we won’t be back.
Ginny and I enjoyed the best dinner we have had in Fernandina over our last 4 visits to Amelia. We stopped in earlier in the week and made reservations which are recommended. Steve and Candi welcomed us as if we were old friends. The meal was delicious and the service was perfect. This is much more than a Wine and Coffee bar, it is a Fernandina Beach 5 star casual restaurant. We will be going back.
Wow! Exceptional meal! The Pozzi family is adorable and so welcoming. Being a native Marylander...know my crab cakes...these are the real deal! Thank you for making our Thanksgiving memorable.
I was at Pozzi Coffee and Wine bar for the restaurant week on Amelia Island. I had an appetizer of baked brie with blueberries, a half lobster with mashed potatoes and green beans, and lastly I had carrot cake for dessert. It was easy the best meal I have had in a while. The dinning room is rather small but there is also a small outdoor seating area. The owners Candy and Steve are very welcoming to any customer. I will be back to Pozzis and I will recommend it to all my friends.
Best cup of coffee on the island. They brew Counter Culture coffee, which is excellent. Beautiful interior. We will have to come back for brunch (with mimosas!) and dinner another time. Great addition to the downtown area.
We were visiting Amelia Island-Fernandina Beach when we had brunch at Pozzi. Food, service and ambience was great. Will definitely visit and try their dinner menu, on our next excursion.
This small, elegant, and cozy restaurant is a wonderful place to stop by for dinner and smooth delightful wines and have a great time with excellent hosts.
Had a pistachio latte on Sat 8 Jun. What a great idea. I loved it along with the whole atmosphere AND attitude of everybody there!! Give it a try if you can for espresso drink or especially for lunch or dinner.
Got 8 undercooked lobster ravioli and was asked for a temp for the fish medium rare, it was well done, bland. Mashed potatoes were bland. Bill for the ravioli was 40$ for not even meat. Would not recommend this place.
My husband made reservations at Pozzi Bistro for Halloween night. I was disappointed in his choice -I have my Amelia Island favorites and I had never heard of this restaurant- until I walked through the door. From that moment I was hooked. The smells coming from the kitchen were divine, Frank Sinatra was crooning through the speakers, and a muted ”High Society” was being shown on the single television opposite the tables. Steve, the owner, greeted us and made us feel immediately welcome. We had a delicious heirloom tomato Caprese salad for a starter and lobster and the ribeye for myself and my husband. Both were superb. I ate well beyond my comfort level, but the food was too good not to finish. This is now at the top of my list for favorite restaurants on Amelia. Well done, Steve!
Went here with my sister for her birthday. Everything was excellent! Great food, great service, great atmosphere!
Pozzi bistro is now permanently closed! The place is for rent!
Its rare that I ever post a negative review but the experience a group of friends and I had today at Pozzi was sad. This review isnt based on the food as we couldnt even get that far. A group of four of us ladies (tamely celebrating a Bachelorette beach weekend in Amelia Island) walked into this establishment hoping for some wine and appetizers. When we walked in, a gentleman who seemed to be an owner or manager looked at us and seemed immediately put off. We werent greeted, so one of us girls said Four please. He asked if we were there to eat dinner in a hesitant manner. We politely said we wanted to do wine and some food, but he hesitantly said the only table he would have for us was outside as he looked at us in a condescending manner. As if sitting outside was even frowned upon. I noticed a couple tables had a reserved sign on them, but others did not. Because of this I asked if the reason we needed to sit outside was because we needed reservations. His snarky and condescending reply was, Well yeah, its Saturday night! The whole exchange was very uncomfortable and forced. This was a nice establishment and I can appreciate if there was a dress code, since we were in matching tasteful t-shirts, shorts, and sandals (casual but not even close to inappropriate), but that was never mentioned.Even if the entire restaurant was being reserved for that would be showing up in the next hour, this man could have politely explained why we couldnt sit inside.I really want to express that all four of us are classy, friendly, and werent dressed in an inappropriate manner expect maybe being a bit casual.I hope the owner corrects this behavior. As a business owner myself, I would never treat anyone (client or not) like the way we were treated.
We had the filet and rib eye. Both were dry aged. Rib eye was better. Great food and service.
Stopped by there Sunday during the shrimp festival and I must say they have some amazing coffee. The flavor had the perfect strength & wasn’t too overpriced. The people were very friendly & the whole atmosphere was inviting. I will definitely make sure to visit there again when I’m in town!!
The know their stuff! This place is insanely delicious. We wandered in here and just wanted a glass of wine but stayed once we saw the menu! We got a meat and cheese board and almost died over the amazing flavors. We followed up with a wedge salad (oh the blue cheese) and split the crab cakes. Holy cow. The crab cakes were amazing (all crab - no breading) with parm mashed potatoes and balsamic Brussel sprouts. One of the best meals I have eaten in a very long time. The husband and wife team are sweet and we enjoyed our experience. We found out new date night place!
The crab cakes were amazing as were the sides. Would definitely eat here again.
Its taken too long for me to write this review. This shop is the best coffee shop downtown period! off the beaten path, quaint, friendly, and non pretentious, owners have quality fare and understand the importance of being selective. Thank you for bringing another class act to the beautiful downtown Amelia Island.
This place is FANTASTIC!! We have been waiting for it to open for over a year, and it was well-worth the wait. The coffee drinks and wine selection are excellent, the food available is prepared fresh by their onsite chef and the owners (Candy and Steve) will greet you on arrival, answer questions, help you find just what you want and share stories about their wonderful establishment. This is a great place, check it out!
High prices and petty charges, accompanied with plastic water glasses, cheap tables and stingy wine pours. Limited menu options, especially with sides. With that, the Ribeye was prepared very well but there are better values on the island.
Nice addition to Amelia. Really like this place. Great wine selections and good food!
Not much choice in menu yet pricy compare with other bistros. Actually more of coffee shop atmosphere
Fresh, Solid Cooking in a Relaxed, Informal Room. One of the few kitchens that has and uses a Rational Oven.
It was awesome they were super accommodating on my strange eating habits, I eat gluten free, soy free, dairy free, wheat free. Thanks for the yummy avocado salad with egg whites :)
Quaint bistro in downtown Fernandina. Well worth the stop.
Like the new hours; more time for owners to relax and prepare our fine dinners..
Stopped in for a wine and snack. Charcuterie and cheese plate was great. Very nice folks.
Candy, steve and Jenna are great. Best lattes ever and onion soup and quiche all deliciousAnd so friendly! Delightful. We wish they were in Prescott Az.
The environment, the food, the hosts, the wine.......Where to begin???Steve and Candy are the consummate hosts, and they treated us as if we were in Their home. You will most likely never have a charcuterie board that comes close to the quality of imported meats and aged cheeses - out of this world. The filet my wife had was in the top 2-3 we have ever had. The capreese salad appeared to have heirloom tomatoes and the cheese was amazing. The owner, Steve, knows his wine very well and the Italian vino we had paired extremely well with everything else. We had been watching our carbs however we splurged and had the chocolate cake with a Legit espresso (Check out their machine and you will know why we came back in the mornings for cappuccinos) Their attention to detail is second to none. Presentation, selection quality, I could go on and on it was THAT good.Cozy yet energetic footprint with all of the correct colors, textures and lighting (Plus a generous amount of Sinatra playing in the background) Get to know the owners, they are genuine and engaging. We just bought a place here in Fernandina, and have found our favorite restaurante!!Grazie Steve and Candy
Excellent service & food.
Steve and Candy had us at the wine list. And yes, we are impressed by your selection especially bringing in a variety of wines from different regions around the world. We reviewed the foods we chose for dinner with the chef and he chose a wonderful Zin. The chefs wine suggestion was spot-on & paired perfectly with our cheese plate. The cheese is of the highest quality. We had goat, parmesan Reggiano, and Gorgonzola cheeses. Now, let me pay tribute to the crab cakes preparedMaryland style. Jumbo lump crab with a bare minimum of filler. I am a purist from D.C. area and these were the real deal. Lastly, let me speak to the carrot cake. Not too sweet and restraint was shown in icing quantality which was appreciated. The finally shredded carrots werecaramelized which was a great touch. The interior is aesthetically pleasing and intimate. The dining areais a bit tight but it reminded me of some of the upscale restaurantsin Manhattan that we often frequent. For us, it was a non-issue.Thank you for providing us with a lovely evening to relax and enjoy excellent food and drink. Steve and Candy, we will definitely be back. Cant wait to return and experience your other menu items. Great job!
Great place to eat. Love the family that runs it!!!
This is a steakhouse by night. I had filet mignon and spouse had ribeye on Saturday night. Both absolutly outstanding. Service great. Wine suggestions excellent. On the quiet side so we could actually have a quiet conversation - unlike most restaurants these days. Only about 8-10 tables - cozy, casual yet classy ambience. They had Casablanca on the screen over the bar, muted with close captioning - so cool. Nice music low volume. Small menu but all looked fantastic. Nothing for vegetarians except a salad. Reminds me of an upscale cafe in Europe. Enjoyed our steaks more than at Bobs or Davids also on Amelia Island. Not a place for kids in the evening. Great location - we started with a cocktail at The Decantery 2 blocks away, then walked over. Highly recommend.
Great food in a great venue!
Great food and friendly, attentive staff.
The coffee was decent enough, but the food was utterly bland and horrific.Skip the place and go elsewhere.
Best cappucinos!
Awesome coffee and breakfast
Another great dining experience 👍
Simply wonderful!
All the desserts are amazing!
Great but pricey.
That Bloody Mary was perfection!
