Alex is the most creative jeweler in the area! I take him old items from my Mom snd he reinvents them into pieces I love and wear. Having it all done locally, so he can show me wax models of the design snd confirm the design is ideal! I will be loyal to Scott’s from now on, after having three original pieces done!

I asked this jeweler to repair two items. The first was a delicate picture frame and they provided an estimate that was far more than the original cost of the frame itself. I passed. The second item was a very expensive white gold and Safire bracelet. The repair technician requested a few days to develop the repair estimate and promised to contact me before moving forward. After two weeks I had still not talked to the jeweler and I returned to retrieve the bracelet and take it to another shop. When I asked for the bracelet there was considerable confusion but finally the repair tech appeared and explained that they didn’t repair all fine jewelry on site and they had sent it to an outside sources. I asked why they sent it out when I had no idea what the cost estimate was and had certainly not authorized the repair. The technician persisted claiming he had developed the estimate (but couldn’t verify that I had ever approved the repair.) As I became more agitated the owner stepped up, decided there was a communication problem, said he’d retrieve the jewelry the next day and demanded I leave the store. When I left he chased me outside and wouldn’t let me discuss the problem with my wife who was sitting in her car in the parking lot

Phenomenal experience! I worked with Scott and Sons to design a custom wedding ring. I wanted to create a unique design by fusing three different concepts together. All along the way, they were attentive and efficient. Their 3-D modeling software made it easy to conceptualize the finished design and to tweak it. We had the design complete by its third iteration. Fabrication and completion took a mere few weeks. When I opened the box and saw it for the first time, I was stunned! It’s the most elegant, resplendent, and perfectly tailored ring I’ve ever seen. My fiancée was overcome when she saw it.

I took my wedding ring set to another jeweler to get sized. He thinned it so much that one of the smaller diamonds fell out.At Scott & Sons, the jeweler sized my rings & replaced the small diamond at a reasonable price. I am so happy that I took my rings to Scott & Sons. Wearing my rings make me so happy.I will definitely go back. They have a beautiful jewelry selection.

THE most horribly rude people, inventory is grossly over priced, repair prices are ridiculous. Bought the same bracelet they had online for $700 less from very a nice and appropriate sales team. Checked around my area and heard several others make similar comments. Hopefully they will read this and consider that their reputation is not particularly favorable within the community. This attitude of change must start at the owner/management levels.

My dad recently passed away. He had a bracelet that he never took off and loved. We bought it 20 years ago together on a family trip to California. I wanted to size the bracelet down to fit me but it is Native American Sterling Silver and not many jewelers would work on it. I hunted for months until I came across Scott and Sons website. I read all the reviews and loved the description of Alex, their in house jeweler. I called and they were so nice. Alex spoke on the phone with my husband several times about the bracelet. We made the 2.5 hour trip for Alex to size my dad’s bracelet. Alex was wonderful! Very sweet and took his time with me. Beautiful selection of unique jewelry, fairly priced. I was looking for a setting for my mom’s diamond. I looked at jewelry stores in Charlotte, Charleston, Atlanta, Boston, and Fort Lauderdale as well as online. This was the only place I found that truly carried a wonderful diversity of gems and settings. The staff was great to work with, friendly and knowledgeable, and after several purchases, repairs and custom requests, I now wouldn’t go anywhere else. They won my trust (which isn’t easy) and I highly recommend them.

Complete Fail at Customer Service! I found it hard to even give them one star. I had two stud pearl earrings that needed reattaching to the post. They told me one of the post was crushed and would need a new one. I keep trying to ask the lady what would the charge be to simply fix the other one and she just kept telling me $60, not listening to what I wanted. Then when I picked them up it was a repeat of the phone conversation. Even going as far as to tell me I misunderstood 😳 yet didn’t make any offer to figure out what I needed. Sadly I will never shop there again. But all they had to do was offer to reattach the good one and appologize for any misunderstanding and I would have left satisfied. Wow one drop of glue could have made or broken things. .

When in to buy a birthday necklace for my wife. Picked out what I wanted which had the price clearly on the front of the display. When the sales lady went to ring it up she told me she could not sell it to me a that price. Then quoted me a price twice the cost as the marked price. I left the store never to return again. Took in a Rado (>$1K in value) watch for a battery replacement. One of the screws holding the battery broke when the servicing technician attempted removal. Had to send it out for repair with a $170 cost. The owner personally contacted me regarding the repair and stated the charge would be waived. Not often the owner of a business contacts a customer. This action shows a dedication for service.
