We thought we had a good experience until we moved out of the storage unit. I don’t think there is pest control at this location because when we were unloading boxes, we found tons of cockroaches and palmetto bugs in all of our stuff. We had to wash all of our clothes, bedding, linens; throw out books and textbooks. There were small animal/insect feces all over the unit. The units are not temperature controlled anyway so the humidity made everything smell musty. My husbands very expensive work boots had mold all over them from the moisture.On top of that, our unit was compromised and someone stole our television and replaced it with a broken knock off version. There was no security footage or proof of a break in, so the incident was categorized as a mysterious disappearance. The staff is friendly and understanding but the insurance to cover our unit did not cover these two issues of pest control and theft. If you value your belongings, go somewhere else. I would pay more for better quality storage.

Before our move from South to North Florida, we needed two storage units. Dave discovered this self-storage place, located conveniently in Fernandina Beach, managed effectively and efficiently by Mary, and very reasonably priced. Mary went out of her way to accommodate us with side-by-side units. They are especially clean, climate controlled, easily accessed, and on a secure and well-maintained property. We are happy all-around to have found and used this facility, which gets top billing in our book!

This facility is conveniently located and access space is abundant once inside the premises. Security is great and all spaces within the storage buildings are clean. Bathrooms are available inside the storage buildings which is very helpful. Hallways are roomy and no interior doors to fight with while moving in and out. The best thing about this particular facility is the extremely helpful and friendly staff. If you have any problems whatsoever they will take care of you! I highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for clean, secure storage with friendly and helpful assistance at your fingertips.

Every time I went to the office everyone was very kind and cordial. Never ever had any problems that werent addressed immediately. I will only come back to CubeSmart in the future. The price is very reasonable and it was easy to get in and out. I tell everyone I know to go to CubeSmart.

Walked in. Cant see, tried to adjust the lightbulb. Realized power to the entire side of the facility is out. Turn around and immediately spot a roach. Nope.EDIT: This edit is going to give my full experience. I was moving all my stuff down in a U-Haul, and I go online to find a storage place to rent. Nobody is open at like 4 for whatever reason, but we find this place cubesmart. We can do the whole thing online; thats great. We go to rent, and they had fees absolutely everywhere. Admin fee, processing fee, lock rental fee, base rental fee, and I think one more. In total, it took an $80 dollar rental to $126. Keep in mind, we purchased an indoor, climate controlled 5x10, which they said was on the second story. No problem. If the place is good, I dont mind carrying things. Especially for my tardiness in renting the storage room.Okay, I say to myself, maybe I just havent done this before. That was a lot more money than I thought I was going to have to pay.We arrive, punch in the code that was given to us, and the door opens.It took about a minute to find the building. I go in. Wooden boards nailed together with dust all over the floor. Observable construction on the bottom floor. The walls arent aligned. Whatever. I go upstairs, walk to the back of a hallway with no lights. There were lights on in the storage rooms to the right, but there wasnt anything in the hallway. I walk into the room. The rental lock is one the ground in the little bag they had. Also no light in the room. (See first review). I tried to adjust the light. Nothing. I turn on my flashlight. Each room is connected by chicken wire. I could actually see everyone elses stuff inside the place—not only on my side, but I could see everyone elses stuff through the poorly made wooden wall on the other side of the hallway. On the other side, there is exposed fiberglass insulation in the unit. Then my girlfriend screams, we both see the roach. We leave to find a different place.Several days later, the regional or district manager calls me to very politely inform me that I was wrong about the light, and that there was in fact a switch on the wall by the stairs.Let me tell you that the lack of light was the least of my problems here.At least they gave me a full refund. +1 star

I have rented several storage spaces over the last 15 years from this location, from business needs to personal, and each time the service has been spot on! Units are clean and there are a variety of sizes available. The entire property is attractive, well maintained and in the most convenient location! Prices are always competitive - mostly better - then other area storage locations. Love the easy drive-up to my unit!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff

Paid for a lock at sign up as part of the NO CONTACT RENTAL. No lock left for me inside unit as per the agreement I signed and pre-paid for. I had to go to Lowes and BUY one. Nobody in office, but Im OK with office closed since its New Years Day. Signed and paid for unit the day before, on New Years Eve, so lock should have been taken care of.

I went online to reserve a 10X20 Climate Controlled Storage unit. Cubesmart had the lowest price around. I received a phone call the next day from one of their representatives. I was able to ask all questions and told them when I would be able to come in person, the day, to pay for the unit.The day I arrived, I found out the unit I reserved had 2 doors and I only brought 1 lock. The person I spoke to on the phone failed to mention this. I had to buy one of their $15.99 locks. I then find out I had to have insurance before I could rent it. Once again, I was not told this in advance.When all was done, and I viewed the unit, I decided this was a great deal. My unit is on the First floor and very close to the outside door. No need for a dolly.

We have been VERY pleased with our experience so far. We especially appreciated you’re understanding of our position of a non-profit organization and accommodating our situation. The move in was easy. And the space is perfect for us. Right space at a reasonable price.

Not only have I had no problems but I have witnessed kindness and generosity to others. I love this island and these folks are a fine example of why.
