Our hostess was very sweet. The food was delicious ( I had the Aioli burger which was delightful perfection )Our server went above and beyond for us. We never even had to ask for refills. Yet she also didnt hover ... Perfect service and wonderful food. 10/10 we will return

Such a fun and chill environment to hang out with friends! They have all the games you can possibly think of. Theres even a worker there thag is dedicated to working the game wall and can share the details of every single game. Always a great time being here! The games are free to borrow. Staff is diligent with cleaning the games after each use.

Just finished my dining experience and our waitress, (I think Ann), was phenomenal. The best service I’ve had in Detroit. The level of attentiveness was phenomenal. I’d ask for a drink and before my thought was over, the drink already on the table. I loved it. Ann was running around all night yet was so elegant with service. I would simply return here for the service.

I recently went here for drinks with my sisters after eating at a local restaurant. We didn’t realize how cool this place was going to be. The atmosphere was so fun and tons of games and the drinks were so delicious and fresh. I can’t wait to go back with a group of people and eat food!

Stopped in on a whim and was not disappointed. I had the mac and cheese with brisket and it was absolutely amazing. The portion was enough for 3 people and tasted phenomenal. The bartender Craig was extremely friendly and gave a great recommendation for the hot fries. It was a perfect choice. Go check them out.

At the Corner for the first time tonight. The service is efficient and friendly, tasty food, and good drink selection. There is a big snow storm tonight and the warm fire is a welcome addition. They have expanded the bar and seating areas since it was Local Kitchen. It is now more capable of accommodating large groups. I think it would be a really fun place to spend an afternoon or evening with a group of friends playing board games. They have a huge selection!

Ive been wanting to come here for a while and finally got the chance to today. This place was super delicious. Even though we had a bit of a wait, the staff was very friendly and even gave us a discount for the long wait. The food is amazing. Definitely get a bag of donuts to go... if they make it to your car!!

Great place to get some food and play games with friends! To start, this place has really good options to eat whether you eat meat or are vegetarian. I ordered the cauliflower tacos and they were some of the best tacos Ive ever had. When it comes to dessert they also have great options. One of the highlights for dessert is cereal blended with ice cream, and its delicious! You can choose from nearly any cereal you can think of. And lastly they have a whole wall full of board games that you can play at your table. I definitely recommend if you want a fun place to eat a meal with friends/family. Really cool atmosphere in this building.

I love cereal. Do you? Have you ever been at a restaurant and just wish you could get a bowl of your favorite breakfast suger bomb? Well, the corner has got you covered! All the brands you remember as a child, and the so called wholesome brands you eat as an adult. Poured fresh and presented with cold vitamin D milk so you can eat what you want while your companion has something more appropriate. No one judges at The Corner. And I wont either.

This place is fabulous! There are so many interesting things on the menu ( Hello, schwifties!), games galore, and for anyone indecisive but willing to take a risk, theres always let the dice decide cocktails. We had 5 and 4 of them were excellent and the last was pretty good.I will be back, and I recommend everyone else go too! Just not on days I want to be there! 😉

Very unique place. It was awesome for our corporate event. Board games, bar, great food and...Axe throwing, yep axe throwing. Never did it before, but it is way cool.

Had a fun experience with my partner, the place is live and environment is lovely. Not a lot of options on the menu, but it felt like whatever you order they would cook it from their hearts. Staff are amazing and nice. Would definitely come again.

I will not be going back there. I understand with the partial quarantine still in place it is hard to get good help and things may take a little bit longer but.... the service was terrible. The bartender was sarcastic and aloof at best. Additionally, it took over 45 minutes to get a soup and salad. Which are two of the 10 items on the entire menu. Not sure where the disconnect was taking place because the owner was sitting right there at the bar while this was all goin on .

This is such a fun place! Our “axe master” was energetic and fun! Then we played one of the hundreds of board games they have on hand. They even sell bowls of cereal and mini donuts! Definitely a place to check out if you’re in the Detroit area!

This place has a great, relaxed atmosphere and every board game you could think of. The bartenders were great, even on a busy Friday night, and the beer selection was a good mix of local breweries.

Employer has our holiday party here. Tons of fun. Lots and lots of games to play. Nice fireplace seating. Attentive staff.

Fine place to play board games with friends m they had a decent menu as well. I ordered the sliders and it was really good. Overall, my friend and I had a good time. There was one person who was always ready to help us with the games. They also gave axe throwing upstairs. Definitely a good place to hang out at.

It was amazing and the service was fast and I ordered a bacon burger and I only ate one half and I was full.

I want to start off by thanking the management team of this place they were phenomenal! After the poor experience my party and I had last time they sure stepped up and turned my whole opinion around. This is definitely an establishment that cares about their consumers. They went above and beyond to try to change our outlook on this place and made our experience wonderful. Several managers approached our table, apologized and thanked us. Manuel was an amazing waiter so knowledgeable, helpful and so friendly. He is a great asset to your team and you guys are lucky to have him. Once again thank you for the wonderful service and taking care of our complaint. We will be back you have a great establishment! You guys have turned my one star to 5!

Such an awesome place! Great food, good service, and all the board games you can imagine! They have dedicated staff member that will help explain some of the rules and how to play any game that they have. Never knew there was such a great wealth of exciting games to play!

Sweet little spot! Definitely reserve a table! Good drinks, nice servers, good prices, and they have Catan! Ambiance is cool. I was happy to be in a booth as the tables seem like they might be a bit cramped.

I love playing cards or something here. Its pretty cozy, kid friendly and you wouldnt believe the wall of games.Call ahead though if you plan on playing, some nights you cant play games in the dining room until after the wait/reservations are all taken care of.

Prices were okay, food was good. Easy to get a game from a good selection of games. Waitress was nice. Also there are lots of different seats/tables for different groups. Wish the fries were crispier lol only complaint. Nothing here to knock your socks off though

Service from Jordan was definitely worth 5 stars.I love the game selection, but my burger was pretty blah. Definitely thought it was a frozen burger but I was informed that theyre fresh, however, definitely needs seasoning or something. Impressive beer selection, could use a few more cocktails though. Chicken sandwich was great, bag of fries were a little salty but delicious, donuts were INCREDIBLE.

Huge selection of board and card games (and a game master to guide you if needed) which is the main draw for me. Fun trivia nights. Food is pretty good, includes burgers, some vegetarian options, and fresh cinnamon doughnuts. Draft list needs some work. You will leave smelling like frying oil.

Excellent food, games and activities

The vibe was cool, I liked the board game selection. Service was great. My only issue is that I ordered the fries because they said they were vegetarian but found several chunks of fried chicken at the bottom. Im assuming they are fried in the same oil, meaning they are definitely not vegetarian. I would go back but I dont think I would eat there again.

Had a great time here with friends playing some games and drinking some drinks. They have a game master who really helped us pick a game and knew what he was talking about. I liked the fact that he wanted our opinion as well. We didnt get food but it looked good on other peoples tables. We definitely will be back.

Good burger and desserts with boardgames to play with friends.

Atmosphere and service is always great.. My only complaint is they haven’t had a significant menu update in over two years (besides adding tacos).. The Menu is unfortunately boring at this point.. if you’re going to have such a small menu at least rotate it seasonally or yearly for that matter.

Reserved a table to play games. Were seated at a table we couldnt play games at. Tried to play a game at that table. And that didnt go over well. Its a great idea and nice atmosphere. But ultimately I wont bring a group of people back

After a not so great experience I returned to give it another try. It was a complete 180 difference! Our service was excellent. We werent able to try the food the first time around and it was delicious! Manny was awesome! SO attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. The GM and Ben from upstairs were super friendly. I will definitely be returning.

This place is awesome it is super busy so you should make a reservation they do have tables for walk-in but theyre first come first serve. The deserts are awesome and decently priced. Drink menu is huge! Fun with friends

If you are looking for a place to spend some good time with friends, this is the place. Amazing drinks (I liked the concept of roll the dice) and they have a huge huge collection of board games. This place is fun and you can easily spend around 3-4 hours.

Great place for drinks and boardgames!

Awesome place. Most importantly, the food is great (and beer, too!). Service was quick, friendly and efficient. There are a ton of board and card games (an entire wall of them) with just about everything you can think of. It is truly impressive. We were there meeting friends before some axe throwing (an attached venue) and this place was a pleasant bonus. I am from (way) out of town, but if Im ever in the area again Ill be stopping by.

Visited last night for my Birthday with my family and had a blast. Lauren was our server and she was so patient and very attentive, she really made our experience excellent. Cola helped us with picking out board games and he was just so sweet and friendly. Definitely will be back and can’t wait. Literally the best fries I’ve ever had

Solid beer selection and the food selection is good too. Best vegetarian mushroom burger Ive ever had. They have so many board/card games to keep you entertained for hours. They also do Sporkle trivia every Monday and Thursday.For dessert, dont skip their mini donuts. Deep fried next to the bar and served piping hot. So good. Melt in your mouth

Amazing place for playing board games. The staff there is very helpful and ready to tell you how to play some of the games. They have a good selection of beers. There are only a few tables where you are allowed to play the board games, and they you cannot reserve them. It is usually busy on weekends. So plan accordingly.

I went here and the food was AMAZING and affordable, with tons of vegan options!!! There are hundreds (maybe thousands, I did not count) of board games and card games, which are super fun!!! And I got a milkshake, which was fantastic!!!! Also they played good music at a reasonable (audible but not loud) volume!I am very happy, this is my new favorite restaurant. Go here for dinner, you will be happy. Also fun for dates.

The cauliflower side dish is absolutely amazing and the gigantic wall of board games is fun to peruse! Also, if youre feeling extra cheeky, they have a mixed cocktail option that you roll a handful of 6-sided dice with specific ingredients that makes up the new and random cocktail! This is for the owners, the game guy, and the seating hostess working Saturday, March 6, 2020 from 6-8:30 pm: I have spent a fortune in your business, even had a grad party here. Ive tried walking in, calling in a reservation, and reserving online. I reserved online over a week ago for a table at 6p. I thought Id FINALLY reserved a game table, but alas even though we spent $240 on food, drinks and dessert and did not over stay, the game guy took our game away because we ...are not at a gaming table. Youre at a reserved table, that we need to re-seat. Unfortunately, after he took our game away, we still had to wait 30 minutes to get our bill, pay, and vacate the reserved table. We could have played 5 more rounds while we were waiting. The arrogance of the seating hostess and game guy are overwhelming - for the fourth time. Guys, your hostess is unfriendly, borderline rude, and makes customers feel they are bothering her. If I behaved that way at my job I would be asked to leave. Just because your business is full doesnt mean all people leave happy. Lots of people dont write reviews. I cannot see coming back to feel chastised for the FIFTH time, nor will I continue to encourage people to patronize your business. The only good thing about our night was our awesome server, Lauren.

This food was so delicious. I had a chicken breast and rice. Every bite was delicious. The service was good, too. The decor in the restaurant is very comfortable. I recommend this place for a nice dinner!

Ok... I wanted to like this place. Very hip and old school at the same time. Our waiter wanted to know which shares we wanted and which mains we wanted. Trying too hard. The food seemed good but within 30 minutes of being done my friend had to leave and threw up just around the corner ... 30 minutes later I was dying in the Wendys bathroom. There were 4 of us but the thing that she and I had in common was the mac and cheese share and the shrimp main. Not sure what didnt agree but... just probably not going back.

This was my first time here. They were pretty busy but the food came out very quickly and was absolutely delicious! I ordered the brisket sliders and my fiance ordered the French dip sandwich. Both were excellent! We sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly with quick service. There were a few games on the bar itself that we all played while waiting for our food. Great food, wonderful beer selection and holy smokes what a game collection! I didnt get a chance to throw axes, but that looked fun too. Their onsite game expert was very nice, and knowledgeable at matching games to people. All in all, I wish every city had a place like this.

Since we thought this was only an axe throwing place we were extremely surprised. We sat at the bar and ordered mac and cheese, sliders, and fries. The food was good and the bartender always made sure we had a drink. We played 2 different games at the bar suggested by the game master, he is so knowledgeable and even came to check on us. This isnt any place fancy so expect good bar food and fun activities to pass the time!

This is a gem in Ferndale! Tonnes of board games, great seating spaces and axe throwing for when you get angry about not winning said board games. They have a great beer and drink selection especially the roll the dice cocktail surprise. One less star because food wasnt impressive. The ribs were too dry and the fried shrimp were too sour. The mango salad served with the ribs was the best thing! Id return for board games and drinks.

Excellent selection of food, drinks, and games! The board game selection is run by their game master, Kola, and he is always very helpful at picking a game for any group. Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful, it is always a delight to visit! One of the best places in Ferndale :)

We go here for trivia on Monday and Thursday. The service is great, but the food is hit or miss. Ive had some great donuts here, but also some really bad sliders. Overall, I really like this place. Come here - play some games, drink some brews, sit by the fire with some friends
