I dropped off my car last month and was told that it would take 2 weeks to work on, and be ready for pick up on July 1st 2021. I showed up in the afternoon, cash in hand, on the 1st to pick it up. There wasnt a soul in the office, even though the front door was unlocked. I waited awhile, shouting Hello loudly, and called the phone number twice, before banging on the door leading back into the shop a few times. After not getting a response that way either, I opened the shop door and yelled Hello there a couple times also, before someone finally realized that there was someone there in their establishment. Thats when the great news came...The mechanic came up and asked what I was there for, so I told him which vehicle was mine, and that I was told by the office manager, Valerie, that my car was supposed to be ready for pick up that day. He said okay and excused himself to the back to make a phone call, Im assuming to Valerie. He then came back up front and said I was told to tell you that we didnt start the work on your car yet because our body guy has been a little sick lately. Excuse me? What have you been doing this entire time and why didnt I get a single phone call or email looping me in?! Awesome. Theres nothing I could do though, right, so I left. I sent an email asking what was going on and when I could expect my car back.Twas a holiday weekend, so I let a couple days pass. I never received a response to my email. The next work day, I called their shop to talk to Valerie, or literally anyone in the office who may know what is going on who could give me some insight on when the work may start and when I could get my car back. No answer. I sent a follow-up email on the same thread as the first, asking for them to at least call me back or email me, as I just need to know what is going on, because I need my car for work. I dont have a rental, and them having my car is causing me a ton of issues. They dont give a damn, obviously. I have been calling every single business day, during their posted business hours, and they NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE. I have been following up every single day with an email after I leave voicemails asking for them to merely call me back with information on my own vehicle, yet they cant even manage to do that.I seriously dont even care if they didnt start the work at this point, I just want my darn keys back so that I can take it to a shop thats actually reliable and thats actually CAPABLE of doing the work, because this place clearly is not. I wish that I could give negative stars, as it sounds like most of the people reviewing this place do as well. I just wish that I had read the reviews before coming to this place, because then I never even wouldve considered it. Regrets indeed....

Highly do NOT recommend this auto body shop!! The lady manager was rude and she lied to me several times about my vehicle and parts. Pulled some ridiculous fees because I decided to move my vehicle because they were taking too long! Please read reviews before you decide which shop to take your car to because dealing with this lady and her attitude is not worth it. (I would put no stars if I could)

Took car for estimate they told us 30 days due to being busy. At 30 days still no estimate at the 52 day mark they gave estimate and charged me $60 a day for the entire time for storage. Storage was out in front of shop in unsecured parking lot. The delay was their issue not mine.

The work was done so-so. I had a quarter panel replaced, front and back bumper. The job took excessive time, the vehicle was returned with my trimming atop the quarter panel not in tact. My rocker panel flange trimming was not intact and came off, the interior panel which covers the brake light and wiring from within wasnt even put back in and still hasnt been replaced, my trunk floor which conceals the spare tire was missing and hasnt been refunded the cost due to me going to pick n pull and finding the floor myself. The painting of the quarter panel and front bumper are the only things I am satisfied with and to think a Reno competitor warned me but I wanted to keep the business local, but I regret doing that tremendously. Now Im having that shop correct what shouldve been no problem.

This place was horrible. We had engine trouble in September in our truck. Left it with them to get a bid for a new engine. Never got one. We pre-paid them $7200. It took them more than 90 days to do the work. We never got receipts properly. We are still waiting for warranty paperwork. The manager never called us back, even after she said she would. She also informed us that she would email us paperwork, and never did. Today is December 22 we picked up the truck three weeks ago. We are still waiting on warranty paperwork. We were lied to about what engine came or was delivered. I would not recommend this shop to anyone ever.

UPDATE: 1/23/15: I came back to Fernley Auto Body to again get some tires mounted. It was a similar experience to last time- friendly service and great value. We did run into an issue as my tires were low-profile tires so the service took much longer than expected. They couldve said Low profiles tires are more expensive so heres a larger bill but they did not. They actually gave me a discount because the service was longer than expected. Another great experience and would recommend to anyone!I went to Fernley Auto Body to get a set of tires mounted and balanced. They had friendly service that was knowledgeable. Turns out, a new technician accidentally tore a hole in one of my tires. However, he owned up to it, the manager (and the tech) apologized, bought and picked up a new tire, and hastily put it on my car. Overall it was a great experience and a fair price that I can recommend.

I went there to reattach my front bumper on my Toyota. They gave me a quote and then made an appointment for me. I went there as scheduled and they had me in and out faster than I could have ever imagined. Polite, professional and quick like a bunny. If you need your car repaired or serviced this is the best place I have ever taken any of my cars and I highly recommend them.

The staff worked to have our vehicle in and out as soon as possible. The work done was amazing. You couldnt even tell there was ever any damage!

Absolutely the best, competent, friendly, professional. There is no finer auto repair shop in Northern Nevada, nor are there any finer people to deal with. Clint, Doug, and Gidget are the very best at what they do. Ive been there many times over the last 2 years to keep my truck up and running, they have never let me down. Im a customer for life.

I brushed a yellow pole with my left back door, leaving scratches throughout the height of the door. Brought it to the shop and they did a quick and fantastic job buffing it out! Im very pleased with their service.

These guys stay busy. They have so much work on their hands yet they quickly serve their customers needs and it showed when I needed an estimate done on my car after someone hit it. Within 10 minutes of my arrival they looked over the car and gave a break down of all the associated costs for the repair.

Stopped in Fernley Auto Body to get a quote to service my motor home I had just purchased.. The pretty young lady at the counter said she would talk to their mechanic & call me later with an estimate... That was 3 weeks ago (not sure how long later is for them???). I have since taken My motor home into Reno & had the work done.. I was really looking for a local shop I could rely on, but this first impression was not a good one

The folks at Fernley Auto Body are fantastic. They do excellent work. I have used them four times now and I have been completely satisfied with all four experiences. I highly recommend this shop.

Had my truck towed here after an accident. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I will use them again next time i need autobody work done.

My husband Chevy had been at this shop since early October of last year . The mechanic told my husband he should have it done by the end of October. Today is March the 15th of 2019 and we still DO NOT have his truck. We where told it should be done by today. Well, its not ready BECAUSE they need a another part. I will never ever take any of my vehicles to this place again. By far the worst serives ever!!!

Fernley Auto Body is awesome: helpful, professional, nice, and competent. I was having trouble with my Volvo as I was driving through Nevada with my infant son, a five year old, two dogs, and my mom. The check engine indictor as well as seemingly every error message possible were going off. I couldnt get any mechanic in Winemucca to look at the car (all booked up or we dont work on Volvos). I didnt even try Lovelock, just tried to get to Fernley. The staff at Fernley Auto Body squeezed me in for a diagnostic, took the time to drive the car to recreate the problem, and helped me figure out how to get the car to the Reno Volvo dealership. They were kind to me and my family. I was at my wits end by the time we pulled in, but the great service from Fernley Auto Body really turned my day around. I still need to get my car fixed, but I was able to get my kids and my dogs to our destination in Reno safely and securely thanks to the team at Fernley Auto Body. I would recommend 100%!!!
